  1. yes, it seems like a functional skin for testing. the new paint of coat would be added once the engine is good to go. I'm still hoping for the swerve, bro.
  2. Late to the party here, but I agree with the way perception functions. I'd still like a tool to help organize how I am going to use them. There is room on the character detail screen to have a "utilized as" dropdown. Even if it is cosmetic and we're allowed to filter with it. I think it works.
  3. "allowing opinion doesn't make it correct" "if you have this opinion you're just wrong." think through those couple of statements.
  4. it's not just creating your own product, it's also about progressing to new products. I like the created products that are there, but the sandbox nature is going away in some cases. if you're mind is blown that people use a feature, then you're not thinking outside of your own space. People are allowed to dislike it and are allowed to voice that a game style they like is being changed.

I really like a lot of things so far under the hood. </p><p> </p><p> but there are just some design elements that just keep bothering me. I am the person that will straighten your pictures hanging on your wall. Things that aren't symmetrical bother me. Spacing, box layouts, white space not used or overused ... all those things I notice. </p><p> </p><p> Someone called it "unfinished" and I actually hope that is the actual state of the design. It may not matter to a lot of gamers, but to me design style and aesthetics are important. </p><p> </p><p> I've attached an image of the worker profile page. For real, the spacing needs work on this page. There is a difference between personal preference on design, and things just not being finished. This wasn't finished. The design is just something that I've noticed I am very passionate about, and there is definitely an expectation gap between what I thought we were going to get and what we got.</p><p><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2020_04/test6.JPG.0ab27d7437802c1b88e3ae1e108bf157.JPG" data-fileid="3585" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3585" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="test6.thumb.JPG.8b188852b6f8d4a141280d34346fb96e.JPG" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2022_08/test6.thumb.JPG.8b188852b6f8d4a141280d34346fb96e.JPG" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a></p>
  6. Going through the C-Verse looking at stuff. I come across a worker that was deceased. Nowhere on the page does it say how old this worker was when they passed. It's a small detail, but it would be a very nice touch to know how old they were when they died. Even if it is generated in the bio for a worker, there is room at the top in their name bar.
  7. Thanks to the skin makers for saving my eyes.
  8. The use of space is my biggest visual problem. Take the office page for one. The news sections is GIGANTIC, and it forces all the new buttons to be crammed to one side. If we can have a smaller news box and some spacing and organizing of the buttons (read: categories) that would help tremendously.
  9. It's the difference between say the NFL and MLB contracts. NFL players have written contracts but they're not fully guaranteed. MLB has fully guaranteed contracts. So NFL players get a remaining "bonus" when cut, while an MLB player would get the remaining contract. Could there be an option to fully guarantee the written contract? I think that would cover the bases for the historical mods.
  10. I will say it. I plan on making it my nightly reading before bed. lol
  11. My first live event as a little kid in the 80s. I had gone to my grandparents out in West Texas. I remember my sister taking me to a rodeo barn. I got Iceman King Parsons' autograph, and in the main event saw the lights suddenly go out and Kerry Von Erich had been knocked out! It had to have been in like the end of 86 or early 87 before Kerry left for the WWF.
  12. this happens to Vader in the 91 save. He gets into the 90s on sex appeal. the visual always makes me laugh. #sexymastadon
  13. A couple of teams I always do. The West Texas Brawler's Club with some combo of Terry Funk, Bruiser Brody, and Stan Hansen (or DiBiase if I have the opportunity). The Good Doctors - Dr. Tom Prichard and a revolving door of partners. Currently, Dr. Shane Douglas is working well, and they have great chemistry. They work great with Cornette as the mouthpiece.
  14. That's where I'm leaning after some thinking. Not sure why I didn't think of Hangman haha. But doing that and sticking him with Sully works. thank you both!
  15. 1987 Mod and bring Taker over to the JCP. I have a twist on the deadman gimmick to use. Instead of a mortician, he's a cowboy. Black hat, bandana, and bull rope. The "deadman" gimmick and still work overtime, but now I don't know what to call him. Undertaker doesn't work. So, I just need some thoughts. I've thought about Desperado. Cowboy of Death is too long and doesn't roll off the tongue. and also need to think of a mouthpiece. maybe a Gary Hart or Kevin Sullivan
  16. Getting excited for TEW20, so I pulled up the Golden Age 87 mod. Taking over JCP and trying to build toward the WCW purchase that comes up in 88. Couple of interesting things to get started. The first, Ric Flair is already on the Time Decline, WTF? It what universe would Flair be on time decline in the late 80s?? This one apparently. Signed Pillman and HBK, teamed them together as the Air Raiders to do a long term Rockers story. Signed Sting to build him. I'm planning a trilogy for him against Tully for the TV title. But during that build, Road Warrior Animal tore his labrum and was out six months. Well, seems like a good opportunity to have Sting team with Hawk. It should be very helpful in getting Sting over and keep an early nudge to Sting vs the Horsemen. the biggest problem here is that there really is no one to face Flair. Funk isn't available in the US at this point. I like Windham, but the matches just aren't aren't turning out how i'd like (or how they turned out in real life). So, I signed Bruiser Brody for a six-month contract to do a little run with that. We will see what happens.
  17. <p>I did some searching but only found a couple of old threads about this, and that is a company rejecting a take over because they don't want to sell up. </p><p> </p><p> The previous responses to this are all stating that it's an owner personality thing. I'm playing the NB2001 to try simulate the purchase of WCW leading into Wrestlemania rather than starting there after in the DOWCW mod. </p><p> </p><p> Every effort I make to put someone in ownership for WCW provides the same response. I've done things from removing Bischoff from WCW entirely. By putting Ted Turner back in. By creating a AOL/Time Warner Group user. I've even put Shane as the head of WCW and ended the war to try and sell. Put Shane as the head of WWF and ended the war, and they all come back as they're not selling up. </p><p> </p><p> Is there something I'm missing here to just get WCW to be purchasable? ECW does not have the same issue as WCW does.</p>

Because then yeah, obviously going East is best for population reasons (there tends to be more people in New York than Idaho.).</p>
  19. <p>I was digging through some old saves and opened a 1991 WCW file. </p><p> </p><p> Jesse Ventura is the owner/booker and we just finished the WCW leaves the NWA angle ... and I ripped off the ECW angle. But it was a huge success as Clash of the Champions got a 94 rating and the match and angle got a 99 and 100 respectively. </p><p> </p><p> But the save has what might be my favorite Midcard stable in this version of the York Foundation:</p><p> </p><p> Alexandra York w/ Mr. Hughes</p><p> "Stunning" Steve Austin</p><p> Michael Wallstreet</p><p> The Good Doctors: Dr. Tom Prichard and Dr. Robert Eaton</p><p> </p><p> Champions:</p><p> WCW World: Ric Flair</p><p> WCW US: Lex Luger</p><p> WCW Heritage: Steve Austin</p><p> WCW World Tag: Rick Martel and Tito Santana</p><p> WCW US Tag: The Steiners</p>
  20. <p>Currently August 1996 for WCW. </p><p> </p><p> Lots of action has taken place over the summer:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Great American Bash</strong> saw the return of Hogan only for him to be the mystery partner of The Outsiders. His turncoat gimmick got over really well, and thus the nWo is formed. </p><p> </p><p> The GAB also saw Mark Callous win the World title from The Giant. Jeff Jarrett lost the US title to Ron Simmons. The Steiners retained the Tag titles over Harlem Heat. </p><p> </p><p> The biggest news coming out of the PPV was Hogan agreeing to renew his contract. There are some within WCW that are upset to go beyond the initial 9 month contract offer, but considering WWF's run at Hogan, the organization had to settle on giving him a 4 year extension at what will be over $125k a month, which also means Hall and Nash's contracts bumped up to match it. </p><p> </p><p> But with Hogan's importance to the nWo story line, and his value to the industry, WCW basically had to pay the money. </p><p> </p><p> WCW also stole Jim Corrnette from WWF (though I have absolutely no idea what to do with him... I though about putting him with the Dudleys for some reason haha). </p><p> </p><p> Interestingly, WWF stole Kevin Sullivan from WCW and saw him ring their King of the Ring tournament. So, congrats to him?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Bash at the Beach</strong> was an interesting show. It saw Hogan defeat The Deadman. Callous has been being distracted some mysteriousness, and that along with the nWo cost him the title. </p><p> </p><p> Sting and DDP lost to the Outsiders, and DDP is starting to become cynical of Sting. </p><p> </p><p> As for the Horsemen, Anderson and Jarrett defeated the Steiners to take the Tag Titles. Between GAB and BatB, Benoit was sent to rehab, and the Horsemen brought in Ken Shamrock to take his place as part of the Horsemen and he debuted at BatB. (though the SOB, promptly lets me know that he'll be taking a MMA fight and will be leaving in 2 months ... which is fine, it'll work into the story).</p><p> </p><p> As for the remaining titles, Simmons retained the US title. I need to ramp up his storylines as well, but he's kinda stuck while Regal finishes up with the kiddos. Speaking of the kiddos, they're in some type of weird almost alliance against Regal as Rocky Kavana defeated Regal for the World Heritage (formerly TV) title with some help from Bradshaw. And Jericho came up short against Mysterio again, one could say he's becoming frustrated (Jericho has been able to beat everyone expect ReyRey).</p><p> </p><p> The next month leads up to <strong>the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic</strong>. The show saw the semi-finals of the Steiners vs Faces of Fear and the Outsiders vs Harlem Heat. </p><p> </p><p> From there The Steiners and Outsiders advanced, and much to the chagrin of everyone there the Outsiders won. Dusty and Bockwinkle had to award the trophy to the Outsiders. They "graciously" accepted, only to drop the trophy on the way from the ring, putting a giant dent into it. </p><p> </p><p> Also on the card, Sting defeated DDP. Afterward, Sting blasts DDP about needing to trust him. </p><p> </p><p> The main event was a Fatal Four way between Ric Flair, Hogan, The Giant and Callous. Hogan was able to sneak away with the win, after Callous was again distracted by two cloaked individuals (one was a gigantic individual and the other much smaller). Side Note: the nWo debuted Queen Sable. She hasn't done much yet, expect being in attendance. </p><p> </p><p> The crowd absolutely devoured the last three matches, and was probably the best show of the year for WCW. (though the rating was only an 89 because I was short on attractive women. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Elizabeth's contract expired and Woman is preggers, and Regal didn't have a match to bring out Lady Kimberly)</p><p> </p><p> Also on the show, a returning Eddie Guerrero defeated Rey Mysterio for the Cruiser-X title (I can't wait for the hissy-fit that Jericho throws on Monday Night), and Simmons defeated Big Rig Ray Traylor to retain the US title. (The tag titles and Heritage titles were not defended). </p><p> </p><p> It should be noted, that WWF is going hard after DDP. Not as hard as they were going after Hogan, but are definitely throwing some good money at the emerging, albeit older, superstar. </p><p> </p><p> And WCW is making a push to bring back Sid, despite the disapprovals from Flair and Arn (as expected). </p><p> </p><p> So now we head into Fall Brawl, which means WAR GAMES!! </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Champions</strong></p><p> WCW World Champion: "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan</p><p> WCW US Champion: Ron Simmons</p><p> WCW World Tag Team: The Horsemen (Arn Anderson and Jeff Jarrett)</p><p> WCW World Heritage: Rocky Kavana</p><p> WCW Cruiser-X: Eddie Guerrero</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tournament Champions for 1996:</strong></p><p> King of the World: "The Deadman" Mark Callous</p><p> Dusty Rhodes Tag Team: The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash)</p>
  21. <p>In my '96 mod, I am entering June. The Outsiders have debuted. They've been causing trouble, but I have Nick Bockwinkle as my authority figure, so it's not quite as "Two guys tearing apart a whole roster" feel as it was in real life. </p><p> </p><p> I'm entering an interesting point as I head into Great American Bash. </p><p> </p><p> The Outsiders and WCW have agreed to an unsanctioned 3 vs 3 match. Team WCW will be Sting, DDP and Ric Flair (Luger and Savage both asked for their release, which I granted) and Hall, Nash and the mysterious 3rd man. If the Outsiders win, they'll be officially sanctioned as a provisional part of WCW. This makes the nWo's takeover a little more methodical and formal rather than simply hostile, like it was at the very beginning. </p><p> </p><p> Building toward Hogan being the third man, he has been chasing The Giant, who is the current World Champion. However, Hogan lost a number one contender's match clean to "The Deadman" Mark Callous. In his dejection, he vanishes. DMC has helped start planting the seeds and red herrings that the nWo's third man could potentially be from within WCW and even hints at Sting. The announcers assume it has to be Callous, but he's remained a loner during his arrival helping no one and asking for nothing.</p><p> </p><p> Here is the interesting part. Hogan has 35 days left on his contract. His renewal will come up literally the day after GAB. So, I am expecting a pretty big battle with WWF over his contract. Side note: Once Savage left, Hogan has actually been fine in the locker room, too. Weird. </p><p> </p><p> The rest of the locker room is a mess though. Nash is a pain in the ass and has no respect for any type of punishment. Everyone does pot and is high all the time. (I've gone into the editor, and like everyone is 50-70 for soft drugs, which just seem ridiculously high considering what the notes say about those fields. So, i've started lowering them just to balance it back out, but all of the instances are still there, which is keeping the moral down.). However, Arn did take Kaynon as his protege, which should be interesting long term. </p><p> </p><p> another small note is that rookie Rocky Kavana debuted as a fun little baby face. Mean Gene did a great job of putting the kid over (like for real, after his debut he jumped from 15 pop to 40 pop.). </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Champion list:</strong></p><p> World Champion: The Giant</p><p> United States Champion: Jeff Jarrett</p><p> World Tag Team: The Steiners</p><p> World Heritage: Lord Steven Regal.</p><p> Cruiser-X: Rey Mysterio Jr.</p><p> </p><p> Jarrett is feuding with Big Rig Ray Traylor and a returning Ron Simmons. The fans seemed to love Simmons' return (way more than I expected, as I got the "debut had a great impact" note.). </p><p> </p><p> The Steiners are feuding with the Horsemen Double A and Benoit. As expected, their matches are ridiculously good (their first clash was a 97. The Horsemen had the Steiners beat, but intentionally DQd themselves to send a message.) So, as long as Benoit can stay painkillers for another week or so, I can write him off and send him to rehab after GAB. Setting up the Steiners to feud with the Outsiders as we head to Bash at the Beach and then the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as well as a fun little twist regarding the Horsemen and the nWo. </p><p> </p><p> Lord Steven Regal is being annoyed by new comers John Bradshaw Layfield and Kavana. I'm using this as an opportunity to drop the Heritage title back down to the midcard, and move Regal up toward the upper midcard. (I just want Regal to proclaim himself the World's United States champion, which for some reason just makes me laugh).</p><p> </p><p> The Cruiser-X Division is growing. Mysterio is feuding with Jericho and Malenko right now. Jericho is getting over like rover, but I think I want to keep the belt off of him until he can turn heel (I'm running no face/heels, but I can switch that gimmick and get the same feel storytelling wise). </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Stables right now are:</strong></p><p> nWo: Hall, Nash and eventually Hogan</p><p> 4 Horsemen: Flair, Anderson, Benoit and Jarrett</p><p> Flock: Raven, Edge and Christian (Raven is in rehab, and Edge and Christian are just prophesying his eventual return). I'm expecting Raven to recruit a couple more guys like Kanyon and Kidman once he's back.</p>
  22. <p>Playing 1996 Mod as WCW as of April 1, 1996: </p><p> </p><p> <strong>World Heavyweight Champion: The Giant</strong></p><p> </p><p> After months of trying, Hogan finally was able to defeat Ric Flair at SuperBrawl '96. However, the next night on Nitro, Hogan had to defend against the Giant, as per the contact set up by Nick Bokwinkle. Hogan failed, and The Giant was able to win the title on live TV. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>United States Champion: Jeff Jarret</strong></p><p> </p><p> After skipping out on the WWF, Jarret arrived in WCW and promptly joined the 4 Horsemen to solidify the group. Jarrett defeated Big Rig Ray Traylor and DDP at SuperBrawl to take the title back to the Horsemen. </p><p> </p><p><strong> World Tag Team: The Steiner Brothers</strong></p><p> </p><p> The tag titles have shot around a bit between the Steiners and Harlem Heat. But a 2 out of 3 falls match was set up at SuperBrawl, and after a grueling 30 minute affair, the Steiners took home the gold. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cruiser-X: Dean Malenko</strong></p><p> </p><p> Malenko defeated Rey Mysterio at SuperBrawl in a "match of the night" candidate fight. Malenko continues to hold down the Cruiser-X division (well, for now, while Eddy is in rehab). </p><p> </p><p><strong> World Heritage (formerly the TV title): Lord Steven Regal</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> Lord Steven Regal defeated Johnny B Badd at Road to Revolution in February and acquired the services of "Lady Kimberly" and at SuperBrawl he defeated Raven to retain the title over the flock (because Raven can't stop getting high. The rest of the flock is Edge and Christian, and they're shooting off onto their comedy tag team, as they're getting over like rover).</p><p> </p><p> At this point in 1996, Hall and Nash have both come up for contracts, and have been stolen by WCW. The other item is that The Undertaker also came up for a contract, and was taken by WCW. Rumors are that he'll debut as Mark Callous in more of a "Lone Wolf" role rather than a supernatural Undertaker. the phrase "Deadman, Inc." has been filed for trademark by WCW.</p><p> </p><p> WCW at this time seems to have a major drug problem as Brian Pillman, Eddy Guerrero, Steve Corino and Raven are notables that have been sent to rehab. WCW has been working closely with Pillman though, they want to push him HEAVILY when he returns. He just has to keep his head on his shoulders. (For real, I bumped him to light heavyweight and his SQ went to 95, so he basically has the world has his doorstep when he comes back.)</p><p> </p><p> WCW also announced THREE major tournaments for the coming year. The first being held over 2 days in April and into May will be the King of the World tournament. Potentially with title opportunities at Starrcade?</p><p> </p><p> In August, WCW will honor the legend Dusty Rhodes with the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Then in November heading into Starrcade, WCW will hold the Art of War within the confides of a steal cage to determine who will face the WCW champion at SuperBrawl 1997.</p><p> </p><p> This has turned into a fun little save that I can hopefully stick with for a little while.</p>
