Booking AEW in 2024, I wanna do a storyline inspired in Red Dead Redemption II and centered on Hangman Adam Page, who creates a stable to "save" the company from other forces (BCG, Punk/FTR who are heels, BCG, etc.).

So, Hangman is Dutch. He starts with ideals and as a good guy, but he slowly loses control as he focuses on the World Title. So, I need guys specifically to be Arthur and Micah, especially those two.

    Any ideas?

IDK what you are doing with Jack Perry, but I think he could be a good "Micah" for an "Arthur" I would do either Griff Garrison or Lee Johnson.

Saw folks claiming how Perry's actions made him "legit" and "broke down" Punk and chuckled for several minutes.  It'll be interesting to see how Perry fares in a promotion that won't put up with his antics the way TK does.  I suspect if he gets out of line there, he'll have a long future of being turned into a pretzel by Minoru Suzuki.

Antics? He said a line, into the camera, that MAYBE 10% of the audience ven understood what it meant. Apparently it "broke down" Punk enough that he physically assaulted a co-worker. Besides getting assaulted for saying a throw away line during a match, what "antics" are you referring to. Because I genuinely don't know of any.

  3. Hook has always been presented as a big deal. He's always been presented as a killer. Kicking out did elevate Hook and it wasn't a "cheap pop" because they built towards it and paid it off with Joe having to choke Hook out. Hook also refusing to tap out further established his toughness.

Hook really kicked out at 1 after a Muscle Buster and immediately got back up, lol I can't

And? The crowd popped huge. I always thought the goal of storytelling during thr match was to pop the crowd. The match elevated Hook and showed the brutality Joe was willing to inflict to keep his belt.

How does Joe get involved in so many random heel turns? I still remember that stupid TNA storyline where he got attacked by Steiner, came back with huge babyface momentum and then "swerved" everyone by joining the Main Event Mafia during the King of the Mountain match.

Joe has been a heel the whole time. He was simply protecting MJF so he made it to their match. Now that he has done that, he is no longer protecting him.

While this is a good effort of a 1st screen, it's been over a year since the project started so it seems like there's no hope this could ever come to release for many years but it's nice to dream

Lol what? We literally got a first look like a month ago. Let's give it some time.

All eras are good to pull ideas from. There’s always a way to switch up some details from era to era to make a similar situation fit.

Especially for locker room issues to add some spice behind the scenes.

Yeah I think Hall or Nash said in an interview that the Kliq and Bam Bam Bigelow didn't like each other, but they thought he was a good worker so they put him over to Vince. Little things like that are gems that good podcasts provide fairly regularly. Nash does that frequently as does Foley.

Any particular podcasts? I travel for work and I mostly stick with the adfree shows. Mainly just JR, 83 Weeks and STW. Every once in a while I'll do Nash's or Jarrett's or Foley's (his last one about breaking in was pretty good). But I enjoy the deep dives. I've listened to a few Cornette's lately to get me in the 86 mindframe since thats the mod I've been playing most regularly. Figured I'd ask if I'm missing something really good.

The Ron Fuller Studcast is really good, he goes from his beginning in the business in chronological order, and he talks about the business side of running multiple promotions too.

I may further tweak NJPW when it comes to worker sizes and the weight limits for the IWGP titles. I'm not really liking some of the sim results I am seeing with how they are currently set up. For instance, if I set the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title to lightweight and below, you get the fringe guys like Nakamura and Tanahashi able to challenge for the belt when they should only be challenging for Heavyweight Titles. On the same note, if I set the IWGP Heavyweight Title limit to Middleweight and above, Nakamura and Tanahashi become ineligible to fight for that title. Setting the IWGP Title to Lightweight and above then opens the door to Jushin Thunder Liger, who is incredibly over, to always become champion or top challenger to the belt. I'm thinking the best fix to get around this is to set guys like Tanahashi and Nakamura to middleweight regardless of their actual true to life numbers, but it doesn't really seem ideal. I will have to toy with it more.

In my opinion, the JR title should have the restriction. We've had guys the size of juniors compete for the Heavyweight title, so that makes sense.
