  1. - Lots of workers don't speak the correct language... The following are Japanese but all are set to Fluent English and No Japanese, these should be swapped: Masakazu Fukuda, Cooga, Mr. Chin, Churaumi Saver, Gota Ihashi, Hamuko Hoshi, Katsuhiko Nagata, Katsuya Kitamura, Koharu Hinata, Masamune, Masayuki Mitomi, Maya Yukihi, Tatsuhito Senga, Satoshi Oji, Seiki Yoshioka, Shogun Okamoto, Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Tomoyuki Oka, Yusuke Kawaguchi, Natsu Sumire, Hibiki, Katsuhiko Matsuzaki, Yoko Takahashi. The following are Mexican but all are set to Fluent English and No Spanish, these should be swapped: Karloff Lagarde Jr., Tinieblas, El Santo, Argenis, Ángel Mensajero, Ray Mendoza, Leono, Panthro, Tigro, Espanto Jr., Valente Fernandez, Danny Boy, Príncipe Odín Jr., Cadaver De Ultratumba, El Gitano, El Hijo de Anibal, El Hijo de Silver King, El Soberano Jr., Elektro Boy, Ernesto Santillan, La Magnífica, La Momia, Metatron, Mini Psycho Clown, Murder Clown, Pagano, Rey Horus, Sexy Lady, Skándalo, Titán, Violento Jack, El Supremo, Pantera Sureña, El Supremo II, Máscara Divina, Desorden, Hator, Mini Hator, El Divo, El Coyote, Gino Medina, Adonis Salazar, Javi, Jessy El Vasco Jr., Acero Dorado Jr., Stranger, Antar, Hijo del Supremo, Super Boy. Moro Jr. is set to Fluent Japanese and No Spanish. Should be the other way round. Royce Chambers is Australian but has no language set. Should be Fluent English. James Raideen (Dylan James) is New Zealander is set to Fluent Japanese and No English. Obviously he needs Fluent English and Japanese should be set to None. He may well speak the language now after many years working there but at debut I would assume he didn't. Ricky Banderas, Sasha and Eddie Cruz are Puerto Rican but are set to None for Spanish. Should be Fluent. Otto Wanz, Gunther Wagner, Robert Fasser and August Smisl are German or Austrian but are set to None for Central. Should be Fluent. Natalia Markova is Russian but is set to None for Eastern. Should be Fluent. ------------------------------------------------------------------ - A few workers have no working locations set. Valente Fernandez (should be Mexico), Molly McShane (USA), Julio Torres (USA, British Isles), Clive Myers (British Isles; nationality should be Jamaican) and Claudio Molteni (USA). - Cibernetico and Gronda have a minimum size set bigger than their current size. - Lots of teams (56) are set to debut/form in the future but already have existing Experience set (eg. Edge & Christian). Is this on purpose? Can't see why it would be. - The venues Nippon Budokan and Ryogoku Kougikan are in the wrong region. Should be Kanto. - Quite a few Hiroshima venues are set to Kanto but should be in Chugoku.
  2. @SkyCrasher have you been adding new venues? As you can tell by my fix suggestions, I'm a big fan of Japan but most regions there are very sparse on venues. I was going to make an effort in the near future to add some but wondering if you already have?
  3. Even though Fleisch has said he's not updating for the foreseeable, I'll continue to add fixes in case anyone wants to add them in themselves: - Inoki should be an Occasional Wrestler, and have Special Attraction in his contract. He was only really wrestling Dome shows at this point. - Lance Storm should be Active in Japan. He worked a tour for FMW in 1991 then worked quite a bit for WAR when that was up and running. - There's quite a lot of preset chemistry but none including Jumbo Tsuruta which is probably a by-product of him being pretty much finished in 1992 due to Hep B. However, he will go a lot longer in the mod playthrough, so he should have good fighting chemistry with Tenryu and Misawa, good teaming chemistry with Taue and Yoshiaki Yatsu, and great teaming chemistry with Tenryu.
  4. I'm thinking specifically Japan, in order to simulate workers going over for tours but still working in their home country. If the Japanese country gets big enough (Medium+), they'll always sign the foreigner to an exclusive deal which is always a nuisance when you want to simulate the 70's, 80's and 90's particularly with the likes of Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk etc.
  5. 1992 again. I did a few quick run-throughs of a year just to catch any irregularities that keep cropping up. It holds up really well so not got much: - WWA-NJ need a popularity boost. They go out of business after about six months, drawing about 100 fans per show. Real life was more like 300-700 for standard shows and 1000-2000 for big shows and they managed to survive until 1998. - LPWA die about half way through 1992 as well but that is fine because they really did die at this point. - Reslo and IWCCW also die pretty quick. In the early 90's they hardly ran shows (only one or two in 1992, and not until June at the earliest) so you can probably remove all contracts. Set them to just have sporadic shows and let the AI sign the workers when needed. That might stop them from losing money fast due to big rosters.
  6. Some other very minor things (I'm just getting back into this so I'll drip feed any more inconsistencies I see): - Dory Funk Jr. should have a non-exclusive handshake contract and loyalty with AJPW. Even though he wasn't on the January 1992 tour, he always did 2 or 3 tours a year throughout the 90's. The AI tends to sign him to an Exclusive Written almost immediately anyway which would be nice to avoid as he still worked US indies in between tours. He probably needs his popularity dropping a bit and/or physical abilities dropping because at this point he was limited to undercard tags but in the game as is, it's still pretty easy to get a 25 minute classic out of him. - Terry Funk's AJPW contract should be removed. He didn't work for Baba at all after the 1991 Champion Carnival. Maybe nerf his Japan popularity too a bit. As it currently stands, an AI-controlled AJPW or NJPW would snap him up on a massive contract almost immediately. Or change his style from Brawler to Psychopath so the deathmatch promotions sign him instead. - Dan Spivey's permanent alter ego in Japan should be Danny Spivey. Likewise Phil LaFon/Dan Kroffat is always Danny Kroffat in Japan. - Chris Benoit's alter ego in NJPW should be Pegasus Kid (currently set to Wild Pegasus). He eventually moves to Wild Pegasus after winning Top of the Super Juniors in 1993, so the Pegasus Kid alter ego should have a maximum age of 25, then assume Wild Pegasus from 26 onwards. - Delete Goro Tsurumi, Hisakatsu Oya, Mr. Pogo, Yukihiro Kanemura contract from FMW. - The previously mentioned bug of WWF holding a 10 man battle royal in the main event of Royal Rumble can be fixed by removing the requirement for a battle royal in the event settings. As long as the title "WWF Royal Rumble" is active, you can set it to be decided by a Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble event and the AI will do that (and in my experience have it as the main event too). - This is just an opinion but I would consider having the face/heel divide in AJPW and NJPW set to "Isn't Enforced". AJPW had very few actual heels so there was a lot of face vs. face matches in the traditional sense and that didn't affect the heat at all. NJPW hadn't yet become faction-centric but there was little consideration for separating faces and heels by Choshu with workers often working face/heel on the fly depending on crowd reaction, and you don't want classic matchups like Muto vs. Hase being penalised by the game. Also I've been working through Japan on my own database correcting Experience stats using the handbook's recommendation of 0.1-0.15 per match (I noticed there's next to no Young Lions so I went down a rabbit hole). Are you interested in importing my corrections once I've finished? If so, how should I send them?
  7. A few random observations which are so minor it's a testament to how great the 1992 mod is: - Shiro Koshinaka [NJPW] should be babyface and part of the Dragon Bombers stable. Black Cat should also be babyface. - Kensuke Sasaki starting injury: broken leg, 19 weeks. - Remove Franz Schuhmann contract from NJPW. Didn't work for them in 1992. - Remove Al Perez, Giant Warrior contract from AJPW. They didn't return until 1993. - Animal Hamaguchi should be Retired or Occasional. He stopped wrestling for NJPW in 1990, but did come back in the mid 90's for WAR for a bit. - CMLL releases half their roster in like the second week. Is it designed like this so AAA have plenty of talent to scoop up when they open? If so, not sure if there's anything that can be set to make they only release guys who ended up in AAA rather than those that stayed in CMLL (like Vampiro). - WWF always runs a 10 man battle royal in the main event of Royal Rumble 1992 (the Royal Rumble match is semi main) which I'm guessing is more of a limitation of the game settings rather than an oversight. - WCW might be a little hot in terms of popularity. Attendances (and therefore money) are about double what they were drawing in real life, but again appreciate this may be by design in the mod to allow it to run smoother. - A lot of wrestler loyalties in Japan aren't set. I think the few that are there might have been imported from TEW2016 as well because they aren't set to the "True Born" type either. - I think the AJPW guys that ultimately left for NOAH should have AJPW loyalty too. Firstly, it's waaaaay down the line that they left to form NOAH and secondly, it was purely because of Mrs. Baba once Giant had passed. Currently, if NJPW was user controlled, all they need to do is end the non-aggression pact with AJPW and they can sweep up all the top talent. Which was a complete impossibility in real life. That's all I've got off the top of my head at work. I hope it's ok if I keep posting random stuff? Thanks for this incredible mod. As I said, these things are so minor that it shows what great work you've done.
  8. This was implemented in the mod on previous games to stop WWF signing him up. I'm not sure if it's needed on this iteration.
  9. All mods have at some point been converted from previous games. It’s been years since someone created a fully fleshed mod from absolute scratch. It’s the work done on it after conversion that separates the men from the boys.
  10. I made this suggestion pretty early on but it never got any traction. I would like this too.
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="JamHead" data-cite="JamHead" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49480" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Yep, that was all a layover from the conversion. The only Japanese star I'd done anything to was Misawa. He kept going to WCW in just about every simulation.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Could a loyalty to AJPW not fix that? Most of their native roster could have the loyalty really.</p>
  12. The simple (+) and (-) notations from the previous version would be fine. I don’t know why this was taken away.
  13. My experience tells me it’s converting too many personalities into the Mercenary attribute, which is a negative.
  14. Go into your schedule and get the game to create a tour schedule for you. Since it was tweaked a few patches ago it’s pretty spot on. You’re right in that you’ll get 8-10 tours a year and a big event at the end of each tour. Traditionally touring companies use a more realistic wrestling style that doesn’t require storylines but you can still utilise them to help build to the big shows and benefit from the extra heat. Your touring shows (the smaller ones in between the big events) don’t affect your company popularity so don’t waste your big matches on here. Use multi man matches and occasional angles to progress your storyline but those 8-10 big events each year are what you need to focus on. It’s a lot different from a TV schedule company so it takes some time to get used to because you’re not required to do something big each week. I don’t use storylines myself because you start to lose heat on them if you don’t progress them often and sometimes I like to stretch a narrative over multiple tours (even years) so I just use Excel to keep track.
  15. As a Brit myself, I’d love this. It’d be nice to replicate the old carnival scene.
  16. Sorry to bring this up again but it needs addressing. Without the Touring contracts in this version and no hiring rule to prevent companies signing foreigners on a touring/handshake-only deal, it’s pretty much impossible to play a historical mod. Prime example, normally on TEW2016 you’d have AJPW bring in an American guy (let’s use The Fantastics as the example) for most tours but they can carry on working in their home region the rest of the time. Now without the Touring contract or a hiring rule forcing the AI to offer only a handshake deal, I’ve now got AJPW signing these guys on massive exclusive written contracts and now they can’t work elsewhere (eg. Mid South back home). Please can this be addressed. I’ve tweaked as many things as possible in the editor but I can’t find a middle ground. Either you nerf the guy’s popularity so much that the Japanese company doesn’t even touch him (thus negating the whole Gaijin tradition in Japan) or you accept they get signed on Written contracts (thus destroying the American scene). It really doesn’t work with the current setup and I think when popular mods start getting released this will become a big issue for many players.
  17. Pre-show I can understand because of all the Kickoff type shows bigger companies do now. Post-show 100% not, that needs tweaking.
  18. Slim Jim is a winner. Makes use of all that dead space and helps the user.
  19. I assume it was put back to account for the “Kickoff” shows that WWE does. I’d at least like a road agent note to prevent something counting towards a storyline, like the force advance one already there.
  20. Yeah I’m several saves in and I’m still not adjusted. A simple addition to the editor with the ability to change colour range hex values would be the best solution.
