  1. I really hope there's nothing more to Alexa losing the fiend gimmick, and that's truly how it was dropped. Amazing haha

Did you feel you had to take it off Hart because you're moving him to WCW to mirror reality?</p>
  3. 1. It's kind of easy! I look at my champ (let's say it's John Cena) and look at the rest of my roster and think what the biggest possible matches would be. For example's sake, let's say it's Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. So I will not do a filler feud with either of those guys and Cena. They will be saved for big matches/feuds with Cena and will be occupied elsewhere until them. Pick either some guys who have prior credibility (Kane, Big Show, etc.) or guys who are on the come up (Big E, Sami Zayn, etc.). 2. I don't treat anything like a season finale Wrestlemania is the big show, but you can always build off that. Who won in the prelim matches? They deserve title shots. Does anyone have a gripe with each other? Does anything need some extra blow-off? 3. Start with the title feuds and fill those in based off guys who have won a lot, guys who I want to build, guys who have history together. Then fill in all of the rest of the card with leftover guys who I really want to give something to build on. 4. Think of what I want my big matches to be and plan backwards from there. Do I want a big match between stars, or do I want to use a match to make a new star? 5. Honestly just based on people I like in real life. On the rare occasion, if somebody I don't care for puts on some insane undercard matches or has huge entertainment skills, I might tab them for a big push. 6. I'll sign any young guys I like who are wrestling less than 2 matches per month. I'll bring them in to give them development and consistent work which they weren't getting previously. As for old guys, I'll always keep them around forever. Exceptions are if a competing company makes an offer on an old guy I'm not doing anything with. 7. I don't fire people unless they cause problems, I don't hire people unless they are not working at all on the indie scene, or if it's somebody I like and have a story I want to execute. Used to just hire everyone I like but now I wait until there's a story I have in mind for them in the immediate future. 7.
  4. I'd argue it should be seen as proper usage of Okada for 90% of shows since he's used in undercard tags frequently in real life and nobody cares. The note is completely unrealistic and frankly it's immersion breaking, it has no basis in how real life promotions are booked. Unless it's a title match or a main event, there's no company where fans get upset about how a match went only 18 minutes. Yet it happens every time I book an undercard match in TEW 2020 with my current product. And I would just change the product... perhaps I should. But the rest of it is EXACTLY how I want to book. But customization of how to run a company wasn't prioritized this time around. To bring this back into a question: My question is, why does this penalty exist when it's realistic to any wrestling promotion
  5. Understand all of this, mostly just saying why is it a part of the game. An opening match featuring a major star and 7 jobbers shouldn't be considered "important" yet the game considers it as such. No fan watches a New Japan show, sees CHAOS going up against Young Lions in the undercard and thinks it should go 20 minutes, yet that is a game mechanic due to the new product system.
  6. How does the game determine which matches are important? I'm booking matches that are a team of a Major Star and a few Stars against a team of unimportants who have never won a match. Gave them 10 minutes at first since that's what I always did in TEW 16, just want to get the young guys in the ring to help them grow. However, this year it's saying that "the match was too short for a match that fans consider important" So I decided to bump it up, seeing where this goes. I put it at 15 minutes and still got the message. Then later in the same show, I had a tag title match in the midcard featuring a team of Major Stars vs. a team of Well Known. This was given 17 minutes, which is not a short amount of time for a midcard match, yet I got the message that the fans thought it was too short for a match the fans consider important! I feel like that note shouldn't be existing for midcard matches unless it's somehow Major Star vs. Major Star in a singles. It's a silly note in it's current implementation.
  7. God, that PWG peak is making me so excited
  8. Definitely not. the only one who thinks it, I fully agree. Booking a show is the same process but far more clicks, it's highly annoying.
  9. For the first time since I became aware of the TEW series 10 years ago, I will not be buying this game. There have been enough annoyances in gameplay to prevent me from buying it. I will be sticking with TEW 16 for the forseeable future.
  10. This is sooooooo much better than what we have. So much wasted space in the current profile screen, it's like they forget the resolution got expanded and they had more room to play with
  11. Fair point about getting used to it, but if I can't get used to it after a week of hard play, I can't see myself getting used to it. I have put more hours into TEW 13 and 16 than any other video game so I'm happy keeping myself to 16 for now unless some impeccable mod gets released on 20 that I don't stop hearing about. With that said, I don't really care about the crazy amount of buttons. Doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the new style lists. I know they can be replaced in many places, and i know they technically "look cooler" or whatever, but every screen that they exist in is a screen that is less practical to use than previous editions. I also hate how while the game window is larger and should be able to fit more info, it's harder than ever to read through a worker's stats. Mostly because there's no scroll support, but that could be fixed by spreading the stats out instead of putting them in one column. Too late for that though. I dislike the lack of a singular "move up/down" button in the booking screen, instead being replaced by small individual buttons that make large shows very tedious to book. Those are just some of my complaints. And even if all the UI problems were fixed (too late for that now so I won't ask for it or expect it), the game still feels more like a chore than ever. Which is cool for people who want a straight up realistic wrestling simulator but it's never how I've played. Again, I know these things have been touched on frequently, more than frequently really, so I'm adding nothing new. But I believe people need to keep putting in their true reactions, positive or negative, as long as it doesn't start arguments and doesn't get personal.
  12. I’d just like to add that I have decided I probably am not buying this game, at least not for a long while. The layout is far too much for me to overcome, way worse quality of life than TEW 16 and all the games prior. Re-skinning won’t help, as I’ve tried many skins. On top of the layout, the sandbox feel has been stripped away and I can’t put my finger on why. It goes past custom products, I just feel like even with preferences and settings and everything I can’t play this in as fun of a fashion as previous additions. I know this adds nothing new to the discussion but since this is the place to react to the beta, might as well put my final reaction in here.
  13. I know many dislike the booking screen, but is it completely turning anyone else off from the game? Want to love this game but this is the most important screen in the game and it's so much. harder to use than last year. The individual arrows for each line item is a pain, makes booking big shows with 20+ segments a pain in the ass, which happen to be really the only shows that I book. And I hate "add match" screen, where you select it on the left and then everything is in the same window, and road agent notes can't be changed to new style. It's just all a pain imo
  14. When I'm in the PM stage (this may also be in the AM stage, haven't seen) and I'm looking at my announcer booth, it shows a huuuuge range for the color commentators. For example: Announcer has 100 announcer rating, 0 color rating. Color Commentator, however, has announcer rating of 0-45, and a color rating of 55-100. What's the reason for this?
  15. Tried looking through dev journal but couldn't find it... is there no longer trainers in develompental companies? Like, sending a worker down to development to be a trainer is no longer an option? Just curious for real world modding purposes
  16. It's a booking sim, not a business sim. And the booking menu is the worst part of the game right now.
  17. Agree on both of these big time. I find myself clicking more than ever when booking. Booking is already not the easiest thing to do, and in 20 it's been made to be far more of a chore. Lack of custom products is mind-boggling. It's supposed to be a sandbox right? Why can't we do what we want to do with a promotion? Being able to turn off match aim and match requirements helps, but it still is FAR from anything close to a custom product. Baffling!
  18. Absolutely, making this possible would make it such a better experience. There is so much to like about this game. Love stables, dev control, new personality, talking to workers. But if I hate navigating through menus and lists, I'm not going to put any time into it. Can't buy it in it's current state
  19. Does anybody know how to make the old scrolling UI style work on EVERY screen? I disabled the new way that it's done, and it still forces me to use it when booking matches, checking emails, looking through handbook, etc. I don't mind the way everything looks, but the navigation with the new list style is a chore, can't put myself through this.
