I can honestly say I haven't played TEW since launch and the only reason I would is for Thunderverse and Londonverse.

Can you delete the posts saying people are foolish for not buying and saying people are mad because they don't understand the features as well please? Thanks
No, because that fits the narrative, obviously.
On the question:
Probably not. I guess I expected more.

Alex DeColt about to prove that he was just the scapegoat. Hell yeah!

It's also very possible that they genuinely enjoyed the layout and the game as a whole. . as hard as it may be to find through all the complaints about it, there are a few people on here who only have minor complaints, and even some who outright enjoy it with no complaints..
I get this sentiment, but obviously Adam wouldn't have to delay the game less than a week before the release if everything was rainbows and butterflies.
From the developers guide:
"The feedback in general continues to be excellent, with a lot of the testers having said that they can't now play TEW2016 because it's so lacking compared to the new game - which is, of course, what we're aiming for."
"Based on their reactions and my own play tests, I don't think there's any doubt that the game is light years ahead of TEW2016 and will be very well received."
Those comments above don't seem to be the same for most of the people commentating, maybe that has more to do with people are more likely to complain in a beta than praise. Maybe they just have to get used to everything. I am not sure, but obviously something went wrong.

Tyrant is my big boy, ever since a ZEN save where I paired him up with Hugh De Aske the dread pirate has been a favorite of mine and I always try to find a spot for him. I love the gimmick, love the beard, love the BEEF of this lad. Best Boy.
First guy I fired to be honest when I cracked up the game funny enough! :D:D
My boys are probably the New Wave, love the gimmick and think they are an awesome tag team.

. We're not saying that you can't post legitimate complaints you have with game in any way, shape or form, the game would never be improved if there was an echo chamber of praise.
Not to start something, but that seems like what the testers were doing for the last couple of months, because obviously they weren't telling Adam the important stuff that the community has since the release a couple of days ago.

APW in Australia seems to have a pretty deep roster than in 2016.
There are some key guys that were let go by RAW that can help you grow, with one being the clear best worker you can get.
Also of note, a few guys on RAW are just on handshake deals (mostly unknown guys) and if you would like could work for you as well.
Overall, APW looks like a fun promotion to build.

You might be. Can you send me a DM with a screenshot? I have two companies that are set to open on my end.
I don't know if it was intentional for the trial (being as you can only play 2 months), but India is the only area unchecked in the trial version to start. Not a big deal, just probably confused a few people.
-
When I go to the editor and check out India promotions yet to open it says there is nothing. Am I missing some data or looking in the wrong area?
I'm so confused.
OK, I figured it out. I did not have India checked as an option. My bad.
I believe the issue everybody is having is that India is unchecked when you start the game. It shouldn't be.
-
It has a training school that is open and a couple of promotions set to be open. It's similar to how Australia was set up.

Where do we find the handbook? I'm not seeing it anywhere.
-
Okay, so I stand corrected about India. You get a headstart. Two companies can open up in India after 2022, so you'll have 2 years head start if you start a company in 2020 there. Or you just bid your time for 2 years elsewhere until they open.
Where do you see this? In my editor there are no companies yet to open.

Mount and Blade Bannerlord. The releases actually work out well!
-
So you auto book the rest?
Probably more like, instead of spending a good while producing the show, you just throw some matches together that seem to make sense even if you don't really have a solid vision for what it really going on.
The Vince McMahon method.
-
Is there usually early bird specials? Steam usually does that for a lot of their games where they take 10-20% off brand new games in the first week of release. Of course publishers have the choice, but I noticed a lot of games follow that model.
-
You can edit it in the editor, changing their menace or star quality, whichever one you were looking to improve.
I don't think you can force them to change to their weight if they don't want to. Could be wrong, though.

Dammit Adam, you got me excited thinking that TCW wasnt dead at first when I saw their name on the blog post. Oh well, gonna have to wait it out a little longer to see I guess
I think the only way TCW can be ended is if their parent company, the toy manufacturer, declares bankruptcy, and then USPW buys them out to get their history on the network.
If not, why would the Toy company buy it only to shut it down 3-4 years later?
(Note: This is all just me trying to deny the fact that TCW could in fact be dead. I hope not. :D)
-
Jeez, you guys. Did you really have to get me thinking about a trial! Ugh, I wished I could stop looking at this forum.

I have quite a few ideas based on how I think the TEW 2020 Cornellverse will start. I am not very good with predictions, but if these work out, I will be happy.
DeColt Championship Wrestling
Alex DeColt shut down CGC after years of failures with his booking. Jack DeColt retired, living peacefully on a ranch. Ricky DeColt starts a new company instead of accepting countless offers with many big companies. I always envision Ricky as the DeColt that is the most quiet and reserved and open to new ideas.
So the idea will be that he will have far better booking than what Alex and Co. had. I am not sure if this is accurate.
Ricky will take a backseat to many exciting younger talents. Despite being their most popular star, in a recent title match he lost under the stipulation that he would never be able to challenge for the World Title again. Whether this will hurt their growth in the future remains to be seen.
There has been murmurings of Jack coming out of retirement to support his brother.
Hollyweird Grappling Company (Think TNA, but worse)
I'm not sure if TCW is going to still be around. I would hope so.
Brent Hill was not able to turn the ship around under new ownership with toy manufacture BriCo. BriCo CEO (Name to be TBD) has placed Ricky Dale Johnson in charge of the booking.
After countless talents jumped ship because of a lower budget, TCW was left signing older washed up talents that were not good enough to be in the USPW and SWF and some younger talents that didn't have the star quality to sign elsewhere. A lot of the talent are way past their prime and don't really have the drive. BriCo, seeing that these "legends" sold more action figures, t-shirts, and ratings changed the name back to Hollyweird Grappling Company and pushed many of the older guard in the main events.
A very different product than the one a few years prior, it will be interesting to see if they can solidify themselves. I envision them being A LOT smaller than SWF/USPW, but profitable nonetheless
Their slogan: "Where The Legends Are"
Wrestling Premier League
A company in the database in 2016 yet to open. Not sure if it will be open in 2020 or not.
USPW, after becoming an international company, turned their backs on a lot of the Southern fans that supported the company for many years. Sensing backlash, a local entrepreneur started a company with a lot of buzz called Wrestling Premier League that focused on mainly big heavyweights in intense matchups, a style that has many fans in the Southern US.
Phil Vibert was sucked back in to booking on the promise of creative control and ownership stake in the company. Time will tell if there is truly a big enough market of dissatisfied USPW fans to help the company survive in the South. They have built up their biggest following in the middle South but have a small following throughout the rest of southern United States.
The goal of course is weekly TV on a bigger network, as currently they stream their shows live on MeTube.

There is no downside to running 2 PPVs, as long as your roster is strong enough to support that model.
-
Not a fan of the more aggressive AI. The AI is already very aggressive in 2016. I don’t see how it can be any more aggressive. If anything, especially companies like USPW are way too aggressive, signing a million wrestlers and bloating their rosters with wrestlers they can’t even use, Signing international icons and pushing them as openers. Completely raiding the indies of anyone with SQ.
If anything I’d hope this is a setting like WMMA.
Making the AI stupid aggressive doesn’t change the fact that it’s still stupid. Make them actually expand and grow rather than just be a nuisance to the player.
I know you were completely serious, but there is a real life comparison in the WWE, who also have their own network. Look at all the wrestlers WWE has under their belt and tell me USPW in the base game is worse than that.

<p>Can anybody fill me in on this:</p><p> </p><p>
Have the "yet to open" companies ever debuted in the next game in the series or are the new companies in the next game going to be completely different?</p><p> </p><p>
One of the companies I found interesting was Wrestling Premeir League, a Texas ( Mid South) based promotion.</p><p> </p><p>
They have base popularity of 35 in Mid South so seem to be in a good spot, and with USPW becoming a global company ( less events in the geographical area) maybe opens the door to a medium sized company in the Southern US.</p>

This is spot on. No offense to whoever worked on the database, but the content isn't any good. After buying the game on release, I have not played much.
There was a thread before release of people exciting about the possibilities and I feel like the release let a lot of people down.
TCW is super weak, and like everybody has said haven't changed much in a decade besides some guys aging out.
It could be worse, I guess. Could be like Canada in which 2 GREAT promotions got replaced with a company that can't use all the talent.
