1. I personally haven't experienced this. It may be an issue with the game or it may be with Wineskin it's hard to tell. If you want to rule out that it's a problem with Wineskin you can create a brand new wrapper and copy your savegames across, to see if that helps.
 2. The recommended way on Macs is to create one Wineskin wrapper per application. So if you're looking to do TEW 20 you'd create a blank wineskin wrapper from scratch, and it won't affect your EWR wrapper. For versions older than Catalina, the tutorial on the 2016 forums should work (just make sure to use the latest versions of Wineskin and the engine).
 3. Sorry if this is a dumb question but when you say you tried adjusting your resolution do you mean the scaling in system preferences. For the 13” the final “more space” option should work for TEW.
 4. What mac are you using. The model and year would be really useful (e.g. 13 inch 2015).
 5. Derek’s way is probably the safest for sure. However I just ran the demo-full version installer .EXE using the “Install Software” option in the wrapper and that did work.
 6. Yeah sorry I’m running on Catalina, and I can’t reproduce this. The only suggestion I’d have is the make sure you’re using the latest version of the wineskin engine and wrapper. You can update on the Wineskin Winery app. Also, if you’re able to move to Catalina at some point, you’d probably have more luck.

As long as it's in VB, it's going to be greatly held back from a presentation, usability and functionality standpoint - but unless Adam is learning a new programming language, that isn't going to change.

Never did I think I’d see a reference to PC11 in this forum

I've done it in the past for TEW 2016 but this time I'm encountering errors. I tried going in and creating a new wrapper, then attempting to open the wrapper in Finder, but when I do it says the wrapper can't be opened. I double click it a second time and it opens just fine. I choose Install Software and pick the trial.exe but get the following message:

If I click OK then the message disappears and another saying "Winetricks is busy" will pop up and run in perpetuity until I force quit, but when I force quit, I'll get the install wizard for TEW 2020. I run it and another busy message runs in perpetuity until I force quit. This time however nothing happens after I quit the program. If I open the TEW 2020 wrapper I've created, it just takes me back to the configuration screen where I have to install the .exe file again.

Any suggestions? Would prefer not to run on Parallels as my laptop has limited memory and I have limited funds.

What version of MacOS are you running?

Easy to follow and worked great!

Is it possible to instal the update patches? Is it as simple as drag and drop? Any help would be much appreciated.

Yep, go into the "drive_c" folder in your wrapper, find the Program Files directory where TEW lives, like normal, and drag in the updated EXE to overwrite the current one. Make sure the wrapper is not running however!

Does anybody have a solution? Whether ingame or not, since this is my first TEW Game

Unfortunately TEW has a set screen resolution, so you can't change it.

 11. Yeah the pre-made wrapper from 2016 is quite out of date so I suspect that won't even work on older versions of MacOS. What Mac and MacOS version are you running? If I can, I'll try to create a pre-made wrapper for you - just we'll have to be on the same version for it to work properly
 12. This is a good point. I'm planning on editing the original post with some alternate options and the pros and cons of each methods so I'll add this as one.
 13. My guess is one of the dependencies wouldn’t have instilled properly. It might be good to create a blank new wrapper and install the dependencies again. The most likely candidate is wine-gecko, so keep an eye on that.
 14. I would disagree with that. SIP is a fairly useful layer of protection but Macs existed for decades without it and things were fine. I certainly wouldn’t liken it to brakes in a car! However yes if you’re uncomfortable doing it by all means use another method. I personally don’t like virtualisation as I don’t want the overhead associated with running an entire OS for one app. Wine works faster and uses less resources and to me that’s more important. If you’d rather an extra layer of integrity that SIP offers then it’s totally understandable.
