  1. This is not a meme, this is a serious question: did Tommy Cornell vote for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union?
  2. You probably know this but just in case you don't, I think you added an old version of the community YTD mod? They cut off at Troy Robinson in this but there's more characters to play around with. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2428925
  3. <p><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2445952" rel="external nofollow">http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2445952</a></p><p> </p><p> I've reported this before. I probably reported it in 16? But as I see it, the AI at bottom, bottom levels doesn't go for the right kind of starting roster, which means that both 1) the companies will die, because they're spending too much on wages for indy stars and big company castoffs, and 2) certain young workers who might not even be bad will never get a contract anywhere, so they'll have to rely on indy shows.</p><p> </p><p> But the workaround is super easy: if you see a company open, and it isn't one of the companies that start out as fairly big/rich, set their hiring rule to "unemployed only" and they'll make a logical starting roster, assuming there is decent talent available for them.</p>
  4. I don't exactly hate the idea of the pop caps but I think they're too strict and they aren't tied enough to charisma/star quality. Somebody with 70 charisma/50 SQ shouldn't hit 100, and somebody with 95 charisma/95 SQ shouldn't be capped at 75.
  5. I would definitely like both this and a way to randomly assign the gimmick pros/cons when you start a new game. I don't make mods that require you to do all this stuff but I can only imagine how much extra work it is.
  6. Maybe something like Prefers working in (COUNTRY) where all else being equal, they'd rather sign a contract with a company based in a certain country in a bidding war, and if they're unemployed they'll have a tiny percentage chance of relocating to the given country? I have a character in a mod who's basically just a Canadian luchador who wants to work in Mexico, but it's not something the game can represent unless I base him in Mexico or give him some Mexico popularity he doesn't deserve.
  7. Mark Carnie has a big thing under his name that says "Personality Type: Scumbag." Even though about 100 people go to his shows, when he treats somebody wrong behind the scenes it immediately makes all the newswires the day after. This is not meant to be an accurate representation of s---- workplaces anywhere. It's a character in a pro wrestling spreadsheet video game. And it's really nothing like the current wave of abusers, which includes some of the most "virtue-signalling" (irritating phrase but can't think of a better one) people in the business, people who are protected by respected veterans, people who are protected by fans. So if you're trying to simulate The Big Real Thing, this is not fun for anybody. This does not need to be in the game. It's basically the same thing as trying to throw COVID-19 into the spreadsheet. Another scandal option for the RW mod people, I guess I don't want it but I can't argue against it intellectually. I like the scandals as a game mechanic. Some of these jerkoffs are going to be back someday. We've already got the ol' Pro-N.azi hanging out in there.
  8. I tracked down the post that has the limits for these things. I think most of those names (Dolph for most of them, Zack/Rosemary for charisma, Heath for psych) should be able to hit those limits, but it depends on your product/mod. Toni Storm is good but I understand why she'd be pretty average at everything and good at athleticism. And yeah, if someone's a 59 at something and they hit 60 then the penalty goes away.
  9. I've never seen that before but it's gotta be something with the mod and/or the converter from 16
  10. The company in the OP went out of business in my watcher but luckily there's another one (PWMax) in the same region doing the same exact thing by now. James Prudence - 1300 per show. JOJI - 940 per show. Aces High - 1000 per show. These are all guys who have like 50 overness across the country. Even if they're willing to sign, they're too big for these companies as more than a one night guest main event thing. You're only getting 130 people to these shows, so they aren't draws. They're making the Number Go Up (show rating), but how much does that matter, relative to 17 popularity almost anything will still make you grow. Travel costs are probably really low because they look like they're all Southwest (USA) guys. Most of them also work for CZCW or GSW. I made a search filter of unemployed male workers with less than 15 overness in the USA based in the Southwest. Most of them are regens, some of the regens are really bad (but some of them are perfectly fine!), a lot of the unfamiliar names like ol' Armless Eddie are from YTD mods/Indybooster that don't come with the game. But guys like Blue Dragon and G Force should be getting work from these tiny companies. And if you're a little more generous with that search than 15 overness, I'm sure you can get a bunch of Southwest guys who'd work for like $100 instead of $50. You can branch out and pay travel costs for some Northwest/Mid South guys, it won't cost you $1300 per show. I feel like a lot of the typical "RTG" guys like Dreadnought just don't ever get used by the AI, even though they should be core members of these kinds of rosters.
  11. I think this kind of sums it up? These guys started out with like 5 pop in the Southwest. They would have gained just fine every month by putting on terrible shows with a roster of cheap rookies. But I assume they prioritized putting on good shows ahead of having enough money to survive, so they hired half the CZCW midcard, Remmy Skye etc and it's killing them financially.
  12. I think it would take a pretty big overhaul of how the game works to move it away from a maybe not super-realistic "more shows = more growth = better" model at some level. But all you had to do was move a random AI company to constant schedule and watch its growth to see that this change needed to be made.
  13. Gains via broadcaster should be very low, and/or foreign companies shouldn't have access to top-top level broadcasters as easily as they do. Look at WWE's real life TV situation in the UK, they don't do huge numbers there. For one obvious issue, it's not live prime time TV so either it's on at 1 in the morning or it's on the next day and the hardcore fans go in spoiled. But US <----> Canada and to a lesser extent UK <----> Europe and Mexico <----> US/Canada (same time zone but more distinct culturally/linguistically) shouldn't be hit by the time zone, live TV issues. So I'd like this to be nerfed, but I'd also like something on the other side that helps your pop growth abroad if your company features a big name from the region as a Star/Major Star. I can see how calculating what region someone is from can be trickier than it sounds, especially in deeper games where the current system spits out guys with 70 pop all over the world like it's nothing. A Mexican guy who for whatever reason has 80 pop in Australia and 10 pop in Mexico should count as an Australian star, not a Mexican star for example.
  14. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=548027 Hi. I forgot that the House of Stone isn't actually affiliated to CWA, and I made "Yozo Watanabe"...white? Hey, stuff happens.
  15. Worker Name: Supachai Turbo Worker Size: Ripped small Worker Appearance: Whoever this guy on this youtube thumbnail is is fine. Less sweaty, obv. Matching headbands with his wife Nattaya that say "TURBO!" Birth Month/Year: January 1995 Debut Month/Year: December 2019 Nationality: Thai Available Areas: India, Japan, Australia Worker Gimmicks (Face/Heel): Face: Muay Thai Badass (badass), heel: Napoleon Complex (realistic) Worker Bio: After an underwhelming Muay Thai career where he started out as a strong prospect and proceeded to get his ass kicked up and down Thailand, Supachai "Turbo" Chanthara was desperately searching for something else to do with his life when along with his wife Nattaya, he found wrestling. Not just wrestling, but Indian wrestling. Although he was only a middling fighter and he doesn't have much experience as a wrestler, it seems like he's done very well to make a fast and furious, stylized Muay Thai attack of knees and head kicks work in a pro wrestling context. The big question is whether fans will be able to buy a 5'5" wrestler who can't cut a promo as a threat. Alter-Ego's (with description): N/A Dojo Graduate: N/A Worker Relationships: Nattaya Turbo (wife) Worker Personality/Attributes: plays legit well, plays badass well, plays weasely well, will risk injury, lively, badass reputation, fitness fanatic, former pro martial artist Finisher: Rapid Knee Combo (impact) Experience: rookie Worker Type/Style: Flashy striker Skills: Strong (his top row should be good but you can nerf his basics and that kind of stuff pretty low since even if he has a knack for the in-ring he's basically a rookie MMA crossover) Athleticism: Freak athlete (but with bad power since he's a manlet). Maybe "only" make his athleticism 75-80ish, great stamina and toughness though Entertaining: Not very (30s for ent skills?) Looks: Like a star (if that's about 60-70 sq, not if it's really good) Worker Name: Nattaya Turbo Worker Size: Toned very small Worker Appearance: This instagram chick as a reference photo? Maybe make her more smug. Definitely make her more smug. Maybe give them matching headbands that say "TURBO!". Teal or whatever works. Birth Month/Year: November 1996 Debut Month/Year: December 2019 Nationality: Thai Available Areas: India, Japan, Australia Worker Gimmicks (Face/Heel): Face: Very Popular Instagram Model (swagger), heel: Very Popular Instagram Model (swagger) Worker Bio: Her husband Supachai "Turbo" Chanthara's Muay Thai career was over. With nothing to do, the young husband and wife saw a comment on her Instagram bikini picture that said "come to India pretty girl" - and they actually went to India. They decided they'd break into the wrestling scene as a duo: Supachai as the workhorse with his exciting Muay Thai offense, and Nattaya as the prettier face and bigger personality. Interestingly, she was set on learning to wrestle herself, not just accompanying Supachai as a valet. Nattaya is a good athlete who copies some of her husband's Muay Thai combinations and transitions in the ring, and she's comfortable taking flight off the top rope. Unfortunately she's very green as a worker. Alter-Ego's (with description): N/A Dojo Graduate: N/A Worker Relationships: Supachai Turbo (husband) Worker Personality/Attributes: better as heel, plays swagger well, plays gimmicky well, plays legitimate well, can't play dominant, fearless, free spirit, horndog, notorious ribber, fitness fanatic, heavy social media user Finisher: Little Elephant Press (top rope pinfall) Experience: rookie Worker Type/Style: High flyer Skills: Average (again she shouldn't have good performance skills, maybe give her like 70 flashiness to be fun) Athleticism: gifted (stamina and athleticism, you can knock the power/toughness way down) Entertaining: Very entertaining (high 60s/low 70s for ent stats?) Looks: Extremely good looking (85ish SA, 75ish SQ) Languages, maybe give them both passable English and basic Hindi? People learn languages super fast in these games anyway iirc. Make them a tag team with low experience (like 10?) just in case someone wants to run an intergender fed EDIT: forgot to give nattaya the "modeling experience" attribute, add that too. Not a huge deal but whatever
  16. Not sure if H I G A I G A counted as a request or not, so here goes: 1) Fuyuko Higa
  17. Got that all in the thread title, I'm proud of myself. I think the current remote help/cheat code for personalities just shuffles everything for every single worker in the save? But I'm noticing in current day real world mods, obviously they're not going to know what a random indy guy is like backstage. I'd like to have a cheat that only shuffles the personalities for the people who had it left blank in the database.
  18. Submission Template: Worker Name: Corrup7ion Worker Size: Toned small Worker Appearance: Spiky hair, eyeglasses, sideburns and a goofy e-sports uniform (with whatever color scheme would make it stick out), I guess with a sponsor logo of some kind Birth Month/Year: August 1995 Debut Month/Year: January 2019 Nationality: Indian Available Areas: India Worker Gimmicks (Face/Heel): E-Sports Champion (Gimmicky) for both face/heel Worker Bio: Under the name of "Corrup7ion," Nayan Chakravarthy of Kerala state was a fairly well known figure in India's e-sports and video game streaming communities for years. At the wizened age of 23 and with lower placements in national tournaments than he was used to, he decided his best gaming reflexes were behind him. Bored of streaming games he didn't like and trying to sell his followers energy drinks, it didn't take him long to latch onto the burgeoning pro wrestling scene. Corrup7ion is undersized, but he's a decent technical wrestler for his experience level. He finishes matches with an octopus stretch he calls the "Micro Skills." Alter-Ego's (with description): Dojo Graduate: Worker Relationships: Worker Personality/Attributes: better as babyface, plays gimmicky well, plays weasely well, can't play badass, can't play dominant, giving performer, driven, fame hungry, heavy social media user, outside interests, skinny genes Finisher: Micro Skills (submission) Stats Template: Experience: Rookie Worker Type/Style: Technician Skills: Above Average Athleticism: Average Entertaining: Somewhat Looks: Non-Descript
  19. I definitely support this, it's so easy to delete a folder and there's never a real need to "clear" an entire database so there doesn't need to be a function to do this in the game if there's any drawback at all.
  20. So it looks like the generated worker totals per dojo per year are absolute - TCW will generate roughly 7 every year, according to their ratings. But if there are a lot of TCW school graduates in the database, the game will still generate the standard 7 for them - Troy, Elijah, Bobby, Jamar and Gary (5) are preset YTD workers from mods; Dennis, Darryl, Carolyn, Mark, Clinton, Herbert and Osjami (7) are game-generated. What I would like to see is I guess an extra "check," where if the database has 5 preset yet to debut workers for TCW's school, it only needs 2 more to hit its number of 7. This would be a big help to modmakers who want the early years of the game world to be less reliant on the TEWgens.
  21. So I don't like the game-generated wrestlers, but I absolutely love the renders i effin rule came out with in this thread. I figured this wouldn't be too much of a pain to make, though I probably got a little tired towards the end as I tried to round it out to an even 30. These are all graduates of training facilities (House of Stone, Hinote Dojo, Supreme Wrestling University, the smaller ones that aren't linked to companies etc). (years they enter the game world) I tried to give them names+bios that would stand out as much as the renders do. I don't think there are any day one superworkers in there, but most of them have goodish SQ and or charisma. I tried to give most of the ones on the high end (Tamura, Cataldi, maybe Callaghan) crummy personalities to kind of offset. To import them into the CVerse, import the workers first, followed by graduates, tag teams and relationships in whatever order. I don't think you can import the dojo graduate links into a running save game, so if you import the workers into a save they'll all show up unattached to any companies. .rar file with pictures + mdb (create a new database in the game and copy+paste this mdb over it): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gHvRPfnwzttscGskZaQnkILIgIQy7_0o/
  22. <p>Yeah I might have been sort of dismissive-sounding in my post in this thread but that's just the way I talk, especially on the internet. I know when I was putting guys in for these things and like...mashing names together from Wikipedia articles, I was thinking that I'm not Indian, I barely know anything about the place or the people, and it's perfectly possible for me to come out with something really weird just out of ignorance.</p><p> </p><p> Also I didnt see brat's response earlier, which gives me an excuse to hockeypost</p><p> </p><p> </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/uvhB_jBuvr4?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Zibanejad scores 5 including OT winner!"></iframe></div></div>
  23. I was the idea guy for Gayatri, Nayima, Subhan Ali and Suleiman Jafri lol. I think that's all of them? I forget how i worded Gayatri's bio but she wasn't meant to be a huge deal nationally, just someone you'd want to hire for a small company because she can do the color commentary/personality/manager roles. I'm not sure I was thinking of her but maybe kind of like a Renee Young before WWE picked her up? I know WWE hire a ton of local sports broadcasting people to fill out time on their network; Arda Ocal does intermission stuff on TV for my favorite ice hockey team and he's done WWE stuff, Scott Stanford apparently has like a million jobs with New York sports, TV, radio and he's done commentary for WWE too. But neither one of them are big names even in New York or even after being little cogs in the WWE machine. I don't know how sports broadcasting works in India but I'm sure those kinds of jobs exist. 85 microphone is also insanely good if you compare it to the default data, in fact if i remember correctly i thought the data for this india mod and the other one both went too far in that direction of giving great entertainment skills (probably mostly because of how the autofiller works) Edit: Also, I think between this mod, Wonk's mod and the default CVerse we might have added a few too many people from the extended cricket universe?
