  1. I get that they want to involve The Rock for WM, but do they actually need him to have a match to make giga numbers? WM sells itself. Since I don't follow WWE that much, what would be the preffered option for you? In a world before this 'promo'? 1) Rock is a speical enforcer or ref, blocking all Bloodline BS and setting up a mega match with his fam for Summerslam, where title-less Roman is no longer a heavy favorite. Cody wins ofc to get the monkey off the back and evolve as a character 2) Rock tries to take the spot, but Cody is not a putz and says 'Dwayne, you gotta earn it. Want this spot? Fight me for it'. They have a match at EC or whenever, where Bloodline makes it a no contest, thus resulting in a triple threat match for WM. Rock gets his rest spots to mask his age, and is protected by not being pinned. Again, goes on to face Roman at Summerslam one on one, no title In current scenario, there's no development for Cody or Roman's characters. Just same old stuff

  5. Pulp Fusion #6 Saturday SuperFight Special MYRON REED - HOME STUDIO - EVENING Myron is chilling in the studio with his friends, recording new stuff for his rap album. ‘Brothers’ try to pass him the bone, but Reed wants to talk about his upcoming match. Myron: You know, fam, I’m grateful for every opportunity this league has provided me with. Court Bauer saw some potential in me, he gave me the ball, and I proved that man right. I became the face of the Middleweight division… But even though I’ve been carrying this crown, I still feel like I don’t get the same respect from Cesar Duran. El Jefe, after I retain my title at SuperFight, you better be there to hand me the gold. Flamita, I’ve got your number. Fox, you’re talking about me still being your student, but bro, I’m not that lil scrawny kid from Louisville anymore. I’m my own man, I’ve carved my own path, and this Saturday I’ll show the entire world why they call me ‘The Young GOAT’! Don’t sleep on me, homie, cause I’m going all out, no cap! Reed shows off the title into the camera and when you look into his eyes you know the man believes in himself. CARLITO - PUERTO RICO BEACH - MID DAY ‘Caribbean Cool’ Carlito is napping on a beach chair until his cousins Orlando and Eddie badger him to cut a promo ahead of his title match. They want to get involved too, get noticed by MLW. Carlito: …Mm… why did you have to wake me up so early? Eddie: Early!? It’s almost 2 PM! Orlando: Cmon cuz, time to rise and shine! Here, some carbs for you. Orlando throws his sleepy cousin a few apples. Time to cut a promo on some fools! Cousins came in prepared, they even have pictures of all the participants. Carlito bites an apple and looks at the promo photo of Matt Cross. Carlito: …Not cool. What about Psycho Clown? Carlito: Clown #1! Also not cool. Cousins asks Carlito to show some passion, some fire… Nah, that’s not cool. Then he sees the pic of Juventud Guerrera. Carlito: Oh, this guy... he looks kinda juicy! LOS PARKS - BACKYARD AND POOL - LUNCH Carlito is not the only guy who takes his promos casually. L.A. Park is busy with some BBQ, cooking for his entire family. He has some cervezas, some sausages, and some thoughts ahead of the ladder match. L.A. Park: Ladder match… Papa Park is too old for that crap. I’m not going to do any of that climbing, Duran, who do you think I am? A spot monkey? Gladly I have two athletic, virile sons that can do that for me. Right, boys? The camera switches to El Hijo de L.A. Park and La Park Jr, who climb up and down the ladders ‘for training’. They are doing that in full body suits, under the sweltering sun. They beg their father for a break, but he just ignores their pleas. L.A. Park: My sons are tougher than all your Ladero Kids, Aramises and Samurais. So it doesn’t really matter what type of match you’re going to throw us into. When I have my best friend in my masculine hands, everyone is going down! Some children are snickering after that line, and Park tells them to get their minds out of the gutter. He’s talking about the chair! LA SILLA! SALINA DE LA RENTA - PROMOCIONES DORADO OFFICES - EVENING Salina sits in her own big chair, and she holds a file case on King Muertes in her hands. She gathered some intel on Muertes for her ‘Hitman’ Low Ki, as any good ‘handler’ would. She looks irritated by the cameraman for a second, but also enjoys the attention… Salina: Ladies and gentlemarks, prepare yourselves for a spectacle of epic proportions! You will witness the unmasking and elimination of a so-called King Muertes… But let me assure you, Muertes is nothing more than a pretender. His name is Ricky Banderas and he’s an old man that belongs in the retirement home! I made a grave mistake by bringing you to MLW, but I have hired a professional that will solve my problem. Low Ki is going to strip you of your dignity and expose the true face behind that mask… a face that you'll all regret ever laying eyes on! Catrina, I didn’t forget about you either! When Muertes loses his powers, you will be next on our hit list! Interview over!! Salina tells the cameraman to get the moving, she has other matters to attend to, and it's strictly confidential. INFAMOUS INC - RANCH - LATE EVENING It’s a sunny day at Texano’s ranch, and Famous B is standing in front of a group of bulls and cows. B is dressed in an over-the-top, flashy cowboy outfit, complete with a giant ten-gallon hat and shiny boots. Famous B: Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round! It's the moment you've all been waiting for, the greatest show on this side of the Mississippi! I present to you, the one and only, the toughest cowboy in town, TEY-HANO! The camera shows Texano, who's cracking a whip at a group of cows. He looks unimpressed by Famous B's hype. Famous B: That's right, folks! Texano is here to show you his incredible skills in cow-whipping, bull-roping, and chili-eating! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy you've ever seen! A cow moos loudly, and Texano rolls his eyes, clearly not amused by Famous B's antics. Famous B: And you know what, folks? Texano here once roped a tornado and tamed a wild bull with a single stare! He's so tough; even rattlesnakes ask for his autograph! Come Saturday, mah main man will show that freak Black Taurus who's boss! Am I right, or am I right? Texano ignores Famous B and deals with an ill-behaving black bull. Famous B: Well, folks, it seems Texano's too busy being a real cowboy to entertain us with his tall tales today. But mark my words, he's the real deal, and at SuperFight he’s gonna whip Black Taurus from pillar to post. El Jefe! It’s a shame that we have to settle our feud like this, but you left me no other choice! I’m sick and tired of your bullying boss, and I will not tolerate this manipulation anymore! You may have corrupted Dr. Wagner Junior with an Aztec Medallion, but you can’t buy everything with money! Texano: Money!? Dinero? Famous B: No, mi amigo, no dinero. Valor! ¡Determinación! COJONES! Texano: Aaaay, ch**ga tu madre, ca**on… CESAR DURAN - EL JEFE’S OFFICE - NIGHT Cesar looks over his booking sheet, then raises his head to face the camera. I’ll keep it short and sweet, renegades. The card for the Saturday SuperFight event is finalized, and it will blow you away. The triple threat for the Middleweight title, involving some of the most talented fliers in the world. A bullrope beating for Texano, carried out by my pet monster Black Taurus… a Seven to Survive match to crown the new Gift of the Gods champion… a Mask vs. Title rubber match between King Muertes and champion Low Ki… finally, Los Parks against Laredo Kid, Samuray del Sol and Aramis in a… LADDER MATCH! Court Bauer, you can’t compete with my genius, and this show will make history for MLW. You’re all welcome! Duran walks out of the shot, leaving the camera to stare at the card. 7. 5 Things We Learned From MLW Fusion #155 Zeda Zhang Is Not a Pushover! In a thrilling encounter, Zeda Zhang and Marina Shafir faced off, with Zeda Zhang utilizing her MMA skills to take the fight to Shafir. The match ended in a time limit draw, leaving fans craving for more action. Women's division consultant Dave Prazak dropped a hint that this rivalry deserves more time and attention, possibly foreshadowing a showdown at SuperFight. ‘The Judge’ Will Play Some Defense Alex Hammerstone had a crucial meeting with Court Bauer to ensure a fair rematch against Bandido for the championship. In a surprising turn of events, Hammerstone was offered EJ Nduka as a guest "enforcer" to prevent interference during the match, as Richard Holliday, Hammerstone's rival, seemed unwilling to face the ex-footballer. EJ will be able to showcase his ‘defensive chops’ in the upcoming championship bout, earning karma points from MLW’s boss and figurehead… ‘Budget Cut Battle Royal’ Wasn’t a Joke Cesar Duran's "Budget Cut Battle Royal": Initially seen as a joke, Cesar Duran's "Budget Cut Battle Royal" appears to be moving forward. Numerous roster members received envelopes containing invitations to this career-threatening match. Failure to comply with Duran's demands will result in immediate termination, adding a high-stakes element to this unusual contest. Von Erichs Finally Call Out 5150 Ross and Marshall Von Erichs addressed the theft of the World Class Championship Wrestling title that had been donated to the University of North Texas. They firmly believe that 5150 is connected to the theft and have challenged the culprits to a showdown at SuperFight. The MLW tag team titles will be on the line, setting the stage for an intense confrontation. ‘Team Filthy’ Teetering on the Brink Team FILTHY, a faction that has faced challenges recently, appears to be on the verge of imploding. A heated confrontation between Tom Lawlor and King Mo resulted in Lawlor using questionable tactics to secure a victory. Lawlor even disassociated Mo from the team, suggesting that he was only involved because of Dan Lambert. The brawl spilled beyond the match, requiring Davey Richards to intervene. Richards has challenged Lawlor to a 3-on-3 tag team bout to test Lawlor’s leadership skills. Kevin Ku and Dominic Garrini will join forces with the former world champion, while Davey’s partners will be kept as a surprise ahead of the impending showdown. But the trouble keeps piling on, as we had a major incident after the show. BREAKING NEWS: Lawlor and King Mo involved in a backstage fight!! The league made a swift decision to terminate the contract of King Mo. Prediction Contest 1. Vandal 23/32 2. Hollywood 23/37 3. MidKnightDreary 22/36 4. Kanegan 21/33 5. Dawn 6/9 6. 8. MLW Fusion Episode #155 Taped for Vice TV in South East Aired on Week 4, January 2022 Announce Team: Dave Prazak, Rich Bocchini and Jared Saint-Laurent Pre-Show Josh Woods def. Adrian Jaoude in 04:26 by submission with a Knee Bar. Lindsay Snow def. Jessamyn Duke in 03:18 by submission with a Heel Hook. This episode of Fusion starts with a commemorative graphic for the late great Dan Lambert. MLW family has lost one of its dear members, one of its wisest and funniest. But as they say, the show must go on! Most MLW roster members are lined up on the ramp for the ten bell salute. Tonight we’re going to pay our respects to Dan Lambert by putting on an MMA-centric show, featuring a blockbuster main event - King Mo against Tom Lawlor. The camera focuses on their faces for a second before we get a traditional Fusion intro. Fusion’s announce team greets the viewers and talks about the legacy of Dan Lambert. They share some funny stories about the man and mention that it is fitting that tonight’s show will be started and closed by former mixed martial artists. Dave Prazak, the consultant of MLW’s women’s division, persuaded Marina Shafir to put her title on the line against Zeda Zhang before SuperFight, and we’re going to see this match next. Let's see if this was the right decision from ‘The Supernova from Moldova’! MLW Women's Championship Match Marina Shafir (c) vs. Zeda Zhang It was clear that this match was not going to be like any other, as both women did not want to give up an inch. Both competitors display their striking and grappling skills, proving their MMA credentials. As the match progresses, Zeda Zhang seizes an opportunity to lock in her signature armbar, targeting Marina Shafir's arm. Shafir grimaces in pain, but manages to save herself from the loss. Marina expertly maneuvers her way out of the submission and goes into the next gear, hitting the smaller opponent with knees to the mid section. Zeda shows her heart and survives the barrage. With the clock running down, Shafir and Zhang are trying to finish the fight... ... but the ref stops them and we have a time limit draw! If we had judges with the scorecards, Marina’s championship status would be in jeopardy. Zeda tells the champ that she almost had her, but Marina has none of it. She refuses to acknowledge Zhang and leaves with the title. This is certainly not the end of this rivalry! Dave Prazak hints that we might have a rematch at SuperFight... Court Bauer sits in the MLW office, looking over the things Cesar Duran left behind. A plaque that says ‘I’m kind of a big deal’, a bottle of expensive bourbon and a statue of a red bull. Court scratches his head and wonders if he should send it to ‘El Jefe’ via mail? Before he can make a decision, MLW champion Alexander Hammerstone knocks on the door and greets his boss. Hammerstone: It’s good to see you back! Bauer: Hey Alex, how’s my world champ doing? Ready for your big rematch? Hammerstone: Absolutely. I’m firing on all cylinders, I’m ready for the biggest fight of my life! I’ve been hitting PB after PB in the gym, and feel on top of my game physically, but… lately I’ve had a few trust issues… Bauer: Ah yes, that situation with Holliday, I understand. Hammerstone: Not only Holliday, Duran too. Not that I ever trusted that weasel, but everytime I go somewhere I have to look over my shoulder. I get the whole ‘target on my back’ gimmick, but I’m fed up with him interfering into my matches all the time. I want my rematch with Bandido to have a clear winner, no outsiders and BS. Bauer: I hear you. Is there anyone in that locker room you can trust to watch your back? Hammerstone: Well yeah, but Von Erichs are dealing with 5150, so I’m kinda short on options. Bauer: What about EJ Nduka? He wanted to fight Holliday, but it looks like Richard doesn’t want to play ball. If you want, Nduka could play some defense, put his football skills to use and tackle whoever tries to put their noses in that title match. Hammerstone: I honestly like that idea - EJ is a beast. Thanks Court! Alex shakes the hand of the boss and promises to make MLW proud in his rematch against Bandido. Meanwhile Kevin Ku and Dominic Garrini are standing backstage with our new interviewer Sam Leterna. Violence is Forever are sporting black armbands and promise to give their all to get the win tonight for Dan. Sam asks their opinion on the main event of the evening, and both guys say that Tom is in a rough shape and would struggle against Mo, especially given the match type. Interesting to see Tom’s teammates backing King Mo and not their leader, but they do have a point, as Lawlor went into a downward spiral after losing the Opera Cup. Sam wishes them luck, as they face Yoshihiro Tajiri, a well known striker and submission specialist, and his plucky understudy Bu Ku Dao, who has a background in Sanshou fighting and kickboxing. This is what MLW Fusion is all about! Before getting to the tag match, we get a pre-taped video from Alex Kane, who shares his story about visiting the American Top Team training camp. Although his time there was brief, he met Dan Lambert and traded a few words with him. ‘The Suplex Assassin’ says he will take the knowledge he gained in that camp to beat Calvin Tankman in a Last Man Standing match at SuperFight, and he will become the most dominant champion in MLW history. ‘Calvin, I’ll whip your XXL-sized a*s all over the building, break you down with my suplexes, and render you motionless to win the MLW National Openweight championship! I can already see you snoring on the floor, with the fans chanting… BOMAYE, BOMAYE, BOMAYE… Face it, Tankman, your days as the champ are up. You’re nothing but a stepping stone for ‘The Suplex Assassin’!!’ Bold strategy and choice of words from Alex Kane! Will these mind games help the hungry challenger defeat "The Heavyweight Hustle"? We’ll find that out in a few short days. AR Fox tells Kane it’s time for another set and drops a few words of his own. 'I’ll keep it short and sweet - the MLW National Openweight title will not be the only piece hanging on the wall of my school. Reed, I’m coming for your strap, kid. I know your strengths and your weaknesses, as I’ve molded you in my image. Let’s see if you’ve made enough progress to beat me, Myron... Flamita, I didn't forget about you either. I'll be better prepared now!” Fox returns to his training duties. He’s running a certified bootcamp in his school, where the only easy day was yesterday. Tag Team Match Violence is Forever vs. Bu Ku Dao and Tajiri ViF approaches this match with a focused demeanor, and they show their respect to both men - a surprising change of mentality. The bell rings and Ku's striking precision is evident as he unleashes a barrage of kicks and strikes on Bu Ku Dao. The underdog, however, uses his agility and speed to evade the attacks and respond with a series of high-flying moves. Tajiri is watching closely from the corner, nodding in approval. He gets a tag and locks up with Dominic Garrini, a known submission specialist. Dominic immediately targets Tajiri's legs and tries to bring the Japanese legend to the mat. Tajiri, with his veteran instincts, fights back valiantly and almost knocks down the BJJ guru with a Buzzsaw Kick! Tajiri manages to counter Garrini's attempts and showcases his trademark kicks, leaving the crowd in awe. The back-and-forth action continues, and Bu Ku Dao is tagged back in, now facing Garrini. This was a turning point in the match, as "The Bone Collector" planted Dao with a Snap Piledriver and tagged his partner in to deliver a few devastating tag team maneuvers, most notably, a Brainbuster-Roundhouse Kick combo! With a swift transition, Garrini manages to lock in a submission on Bu Ku Dao! Kevin Ku lunges at Tajiri to block the save, and Violence is Forever get the win! Garrini lets Bu Ku Dao go immediately after the result is secured, there’s no bad blood between the teams. Ku and Garrini dedicate this victory to Dan Lambert and bow down to Tajiri. ‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’ accepts the gesture and takes his protege by the ear. Bu Ku Dao learned a valuable lesson from this encounter, but Tajiri’s patience might be running thin. Earlier today we spotted ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor entering the building. He refused to do any interviews, and it looks like he traveled apart from his stablemates. As some of you may remember, Tom had an argument with Dan Lambert ahead of the tragedy, so this will weigh heavily on him heading into the match, no doubt. King Mo wasn't his usual flashy self, but promised to put on a great show. Von Erichs couldn’t make the memorial show, but they offer their deepest condolences to Dan’s family and friends. Ross: We had our issues in the past, but man, Dan Lambert was a great coach. He made everyone around him better and stronger. Team Filthy were one of our biggest rivals, and they left a few scars on our bodies, so props to Dan. May his soul rest in peace… Marshall: That’s right. We might not like the way his trainees fought against us, but we respect his accomplishments, what he has done for fighters all around the globe. Rest in peace, Dan. Ross: Of course, this is not the only thing that weighs on our minds right now. As you have seen, last week a bunch of thugs broke into the University of North Texas, and stole the World Class Championship Wrestling title we have donated. Marshall: We all know that 5150 is responsible, and boys, there will be hell to pay for it! You don’t desecrate our family legacy and get away with it. We’re putting our MLW titles on the line to get Rivera and Boogie for SuperFight!! You injured me, you disrespected our father, and you messed with Texas... Never mess with Texas! We’ll see you this Sunday! A hype video recaps the blood feud between Jacob Fatu and Mads Krugger. This Sunday they will sqaure off in a cage match to settle the score once and for all! If Jacob Fatu gets the win, he will also get 5 minutes alone with Josef Samael... Could this be the final chapter in CONTRA's history? Back in the arena Tajiri criticizes Bu Ku Dao’s performance until they are interrupted by two Azteca stooges. The masked minions of Cesar Duran are giving away envelopes to those who lurk backstage. Naive Bu Ku Dao thinks that this is his payday and offers his part to Tajiri san as a sign of obedience. Tajiri opens the envelope and surprise-surprise, there’s no cash. They were handed ‘an invitation letter’ to the ‘Budget Cut Battle Royal’, where attendance is mandatory. Failure to show up for the match will result in an immediate contract termination… In another pre-taped promo ‘The Real 1’ NZO shares that he volunteered to headline tonight’s tribute show with a shoot fight against Simon Gotch, but Court Bauer thought booking that match for a tribute show would be in bad taste. "Bada boom, realest guy in the room here, how ya doin? Lemme give you a lil scoop, ok? I had my sneakers laced up, ready to put on a show that would have you talkin' for years, but you see, there's always a buzzkill, a party pooper in da house. And that buzzkill's name is Court Bauer. He's afraid of a little controversy, a little ruckus… he said putting my fight on tonight’s show would be in bad taste… Boss, if we’re talking about bad taste, we should be talking about Simon’s singlet, eh? Let me get this clear - you can't control NZO, and you sure as hell can't stop me from givin' these fans what they crave! So, Hymen Gotch, buddy, you'll face the music on Sunday instead! It's gonna be no-holds-barred, no boundaries, and no regrets! C ya at SuperFight, jackass!" NZO does his signature shuffle and goes back to punching the bag in his garage gym. Maybe it is for the best that ‘The Real 1’ is missing the tribute show. It is almost time for the main event, and Cesar’s stooges continue to give away those ‘invitations’ to innocent bystanders. Some people are clued up about this trick, and so they avoid the masked men like a plague. Gino Medina tells the luchadors to keep a six feet distance, KC Navarro jumps into the dirty laundry box, and Richard Holliday pays them off to avoid getting into the match. The stooges finally spot The Dirty Blondes stuffing their faces at catering, and those hillbilly boys take the envelopes. Minions even attempt to give Col. Parker an invite, but he yells that he’s 71! Nobody is safe. Big Damo appears behind the stooges and wrecks these fools to send a message to Duran. He's still fuming that someone jumped him last week, and he can't wait to see who he will face in a number one contender match. And now it is time for the main event! The ‘tale of the tape’ compares King Mo and Tom Lawlor, who have virtually identical height and weight, but ‘The Moneyweight’ has a 10 cm reach advantage. Saint-Laurent says that Lawlor is a superior wrestler and jiu-jitsu practitioner, so he puts his money on Tom. Dave Prazak thinks that King Mo is in a better shape heading into this match, given that he was preparing for this fight , unlike Lawlor. Rich Bochinni thinks it will be close, but gives the nod to Tom. The fighters get their formal introductions and bump their fists before the match… here we go! Hybrid Rules Match King Mo vs. Tom Lawlor From the opening bell, it was clear that this match was going to be a fight, not a wrestling contest. King Mo and Tom Lawlor exchange stiff jabs and powerful leg kicks early, displaying their striking prowess. Lawlor, known for pushing the boundaries, occasionally uses tactics that bend the rules. He uses the ropes for leverage during a clinch. King Mo's experience and power begins to shine through and he executes a picture-perfect hook, sending Lawlor to the canvas. King Mo then showcases his ground-and-pound skills, landing brutal elbows and punches, ready to finish Tom, who looks to be off his game today. Mo loses his focus for just a few moments, and Lawlor, ever the strategist, manages to ‘fish hook’ Lawal to escape! Tom broke the fighting code with that move, and he would be disqualified if the referee would be more decisive. Mo calls Tom a ‘bad word’, clearly frustrated and agitated. Emotions are running high, as Tom nails a ‘lucky punch’, then finishes King Mo with some elbows. Again, some of those were 12-6 elbows, but ‘Hybrid Rules’ have a lot of gray areas that Lawlor exploited to his advantage. Controversial as always, Lawlor throws his mouthguard away and poses in the corner. Tom Lawlor proved that in this MMA-inspired showdown, tactics and strategy could sometimes overcome brute force. Tom Lawlor's rule-bending ways had led him to victory, but he’s not finished yet. He demands a microphone! “Mo, get out of my face! I only fought you because this was Dan’s last wish. Well, I hope he’s happy with the outcome, and he’s smiling up there. For the record though - you were never a part of Team Filthy, Mo. We let you hang around because Lambert asked me too… Anyway, there’s someone in the back I actually want to fight… DAVEY F’N RICHARDS!! I demand a rematch, right now!! You took my spot, you ruined my marriage, and most importantly, you took Opie away from me! Get your a*s out here!!” Before we can see ‘The American Wolf’, King Mo lunges at Tom and we get another shoot fight that has to be broken up by a bunch of security guards, road agents, and wrestlers. Kevin Ku and Dominic Garrini get involved, trying to keep Tom and Mo away from each other, with Garrini yelling out ‘WTF Tom!?’ referencing his dirty tricks during that match. Ku tries to contain Mo, but he also does not approve of this kind of argument at a tribute show. Here comes Davey Richards! Richards: What in the hell is wrong with you, Lawlor? On a night like this you had to show your leadership skills, stick together with your brothers and fight with honor. You have to take responsibility for your misfortunes, be a leader for these people! Lawlor: Screw the people, I’m not a babysitter. Cut the crap and tell me one thing - are you going to fight me at SuperFight or not!? Are you an ‘American Wolf’, or are you an Old Yeller!? Richards: You’re not ready to face me. You’re in a bad head space, and you have done nothing to deserve a shot at the Opera Cup. But let’s find a compromise… I WILL fight you at SuperFight. I will also fight Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku, who will be your partners. I challenge you to a six man tag, an opportunity for you to prove that you can still lead your own faction! And if you beat me and my team, you will have your rematch. How does that sound!? Lawlor: YOU’RE ON! MAKE IT A THREE ON ONE, I DON’T CARE! On that note we’re all out of time! Thank you for being with us, see you all at SuperFight! Final Rating
  9. Not a new game, but I've been enjoying Control a lot. Game from the guys that made Max Payne, Quantum Brake, Alan Wake, etc... awesome visually, has amazing lore, features some really talented actors.. Strongly recommend it!
  10. Big thank you to Jason Phoenix and kanegan for giving this thread a vote in the DOTM! With so many great works on this forum just being nominated is a good feeling. It is also very cool to see more people getting in on the predictions! Also I am currently finishing my impromptu 2-week vacation from work that involves a lot of writing, so I didn't touch the keyboard as much in order to 'recharge my batteries'. Hopefully I'll jump back into action next week and finish this Fusion show.
  11. MLW Fusion #155 Preview Dan Lambert's legacy will be celebrated on an MMA-themed Fusion episode that will feature three matches. First off, the MLW women's champion Marina Shafir has agreed to put her title against Zeda Zhang on the line ahead of schedule. Next there will be a hard-hitting tag team match that pits Kevin Ku and Dominic Garrini against the master of the tarantula, Tajiri, and the rising star Bu Ku Dao. Expect high-flying action, technical prowess, and plenty of kicks in this one! To close the show, a sparring match between King Mo and Tom Lawlor booked by Dan Lambert a few weeks ago goes ahead as planned. Two MMA stars will go head-to-head in a rare ‘Hybrid Rules’ match and it remains to be seen if this will be a ‘friendly’ grappling match or a fully fledged fight between two competitive shooters… MLW Fusion 155 Prediction Key MLW Women’s Championship Match Zeda Zhang vs. Marina Shafir © Tag Team Match Violence is Forever vs. Tajiri and Bu Ku Dao Hybrid Rules Match King Mo vs. ’Filthy’ Tom Lawlor OOC: So this in-game news item sucked big time. Don’t like ‘Kenny Deaths’ in TEW, but for the sake of realism I decided to keep them turned on. It would be hard to explain this card without mentioning the in-game news, or change it, as it was booked a very long time ago. I’ll tweak my preferences from this point on, cause we get enough doom and gloom in wrestling and real life as it is.

Five electrifying matches have been confirmed for the opening night, each promising to deliver a unique and unforgettable experience for the fans, or 'renegades', as Cesar Duran calls them... Texano and Black Taurus Booked for Night One The highly-anticipated bullrope brawl between Texano and Black Taurus has been confirmed for MLW SuperFight! The stage is set, and the stakes couldn't be higher. In a bullrope match, the advantage might seem to lean towards Texano, but let's not forget the sheer brute strength possessed by his opponent. This battle promises to be a collision of power, experience, and raw determination! Ladders Added To The Trios Title Match Azteca Underground Trios Titles are set to hang in the balance in an electrifying ladder match! The reigning champions, Los Parks, have proven themselves as a dominant force in the world of lucha libre, but they now face an extraordinary challenge from an alliance of high-flying talents in Samuray del Sol, Aramis, and Laredo Kid. It's a classic case of "every man for himself" when the bell rings! The winner of this contest will essentially secure a shot at the main title, so this promises to be a certified slobberknocker. Dr. Wagner Jr. has displayed his experience, wisely avoiding an all-out brawl before the match, but with such an incredible lineup of talent, anyone could come out on top. Mask vs. Title Made Official During The Contract Signing The culmination of an intense trilogy is upon us, as challenger King Muertes faces off against IWA Caribbean Champion, Low Ki, in a Mask vs. Title match! The stakes couldn't be higher for Muertes, as not only is the championship gold up for grabs, but also his identity. Salina de la Renta, the woman responsible for Muertes' introduction to MLW, has dropped tantalizing hints about the real person behind 'The Man of 1000 Deaths,' sowing doubt in King's mind. Salina's cunning distraction allowed Low Ki to strike Muertes with a John Wick-style sneak attack, using a pen as his weapon of choice and to sign the contract with blood. However, Muertes would not be denied, retaliating with a brutal Reaper’s Trident that sent Low Ki crashing through a table. The drama didn't end there, as Catrina and Salina engaged in a fiery altercation of their own. 14. MLW Azteca Underground Episode #20 - Blood Contracts Taped for El Rey Network in Centro, Mexico Aired on Week 4, January 2022 Announce Team: Famous B, Matt Striker and Konnan We start the show in the dimly lit sanctum of Cesar Duran's office, where a tension-filled atmosphere hangs in the air. Marty ‘The Moth Martinez’ sits before Duran, his demeanor a stark contrast to his usual behavior. He clears his throat… "El Jefe, I want to apologize for my previous actions. I've come to realize that I must change my ways!" Duran's lips curl into a smile, his fingers tapping rhythmically on his desk. "Marty, redemption is a rare gift, and I believe you can find it. I’ll give you an opportunity, a unique opportunity. Here is the Moth Tribe medallion… Earn it to prove your worth!” The Moth is surprised, but before he can fully react, the office door creaks open. Marty’s eyes widen further as a familiar figure steps into the room – Melissa Martinez. "Marty, meet the key to your opportunity. She will guide you, shape you, and lead you to the path you desire! I know you had some issues in the past, but it is time to reunite the tribe." A mixture of emotions run through Marty as he sees his half-sister, a turmoil of confusion, surprise, and anger. A maniacal laughter escapes his lips. Without a word, Marty storms out of the office, slamming the door behind him. Cesar shrugs his shoulders and informs Melissa that she will be in the main event tonight, tagging with Marty against Psycho Clown and his mystery partner… After the opening title we go straight to the ring, as Carlito and Amazing Red will battle for one of the ancient Aztec medallions. Red said that he wants to win the IWA title to honor his mentor Savio Vega, and winning a Gift of the Gods title can be Red’ route to the top of the Azteca’s food chain. Carlito, on the other hand, acts carefree and chews on an apple on his way to the ring. He feels no pressure, flirting with some mamacita and calling her BF ‘not cool’. Ring the bell! Aztec Medallion Match Carlito vs. Amazing Red Carlito, known for his cocky attitude and Caribbean swagger, exudes confidence as he struts in the ring still chewing an apple. Amazing Red initiates a chain wrestling technique with his opponent holding the fruit in his teeth. Red escapes an arm wringer with an athletic move, and dropkicks the cocky Caribbean playboy out of the ring. Carlito lures Red to the outside and finally spits in his face, taking over the match. He relies on his cunning and strength, grounding Amazing Red with mat-based control. He also sends a message to Salina while wrestling a match, asking ‘La Bruja’ on a date! “Looks like the apple man wants some of that peach, K-Dawg!” - drops Famous B. Red refuses to be confined though, using his speed and aerial prowess to evade Carlito's attempts at domination. He is a few moments away from taking an Aztec Medallion, but Carlito survives Code Red by having his foot under the rope! Amazing Red decides to go for a high risk maneuver from the top rope, and Carlito shoves the ref into the ropes to make his opponent lose balance. ‘Caribbean Cool’ delivers a mighty Backstabber, almost breaking Red in half… 1-2-3, good result for the vet. The winner has a smug look on his face, he collects the medallion and asks for a mic. “Salina! This victory is for you, mami… give me a call, and I’ll show you a good time!” Still chasing the skirts... never change! Today he’s the winner, booking himself a place in the Gift of the Gods match. It is official! Alex Hammerstone will lock horns with Bandido once again, putting his title on the line at SuperFight! This is a long-awaited rematch, where the reigning champion will enjoy a home soil advantage. Bandido/Hammerstone II, only on pay-per-view! After the hype video for the main event we get a recap of what happened last week. ‘The Blue Collar Brawler’ Texano threw a monkey wrench in Duran’s business, spiking Black Taurus with a chairshot heard around the world! Texano’s interference allowed Bandido to get the victory and hand the black bull of ‘El Jefe’ his first pinfall loss in MLW. The attack was planned beforehand, as Texano’s little assist was his way to get even with ‘The Most Wanted’, who freed the rebel from underground captivity. The rivalry between Taurus and Texano has been brewing for months, and it looks like we’re going to witness a one on one match between the two. But for now, let’s get back to the ring, as Angelico faces Bestia 666 in a grudge match. The battle between good and evil is about to commence, an eternal conflict is about to be resolved. Singles Match Angelico vs. Bestia 666 From the opening bell, the match is a study in contrasts. Angelico, known for his acrobatic style and mat wrestling prowess, brings an aura of grace and precision to the ring. Bestia 666, on the other hand, is the embodiment of chaos and ruthlessness. He employs his own unique arsenal and underhanded tactics to control the match. As the bout unfolds, Angelico tries a few aerial maneuvers to keep Bestia 666 off balance. He comes close to pinning the rudo, but Bestia rolls out of the ring to get a breather. Angelico throws caution to the wind and nails him with a Somersault Splash over the ring corner! The fan favorite has the crowd on his side and signals for the finish - La Lanza. Before he can strike ‘The Son of The Demon’, he spots the arrival of Mechawolf. The referee is distracted, turning his back for a second. That’s enough time to miss Arez, who blinds Angelico with a fireball to the face! Bestia 666 takes the vulnerable opponent and delivers La Valagueza! Angelico has succumbed to the numbers of La Rebellion Amarilla… his situation looks grim. After the match Angelico is aided by the medics, struggling to see what’s going on around him. Rebellion does not attack him this time, as Bestia decides to talk to the man instead. “Angelico, your angelic ideals have rendered you deaf to the whispers that surround you, and blind to the shadows that creep in your path. Your so-called best friend went behind your back to get the Aztec Medallion… It's time, Angelico, to open those eyes of yours, to see beyond your delusions and confront the reality that surrounds you. You have gained nothing from your unwavering faith! The angels may have wings, but demons are the architects of destiny, the makers of kings and the breakers of chains. Will you continue to bask in the false light, or will you finally embrace the darkness and emerge stronger, wiser, and unchained?” La Rebellion leave the ringside area, leaving Angelico one on one with darkness and his own thoughts. Since he can’t see anything, he takes a seat near the barricade, waiting for his vision to come back. Meanwhile, Cesar Duran steps out of his hiding place to address the renegades. He carries something heavy, covered by red velvet… perhaps a title? “Silence! ‘El Jefe’ has no time for your booing… I have a lot of announcements to make. Since that shyster Court Bauer bought his seat out, I’m about to solidify my place in MLW and show you all who’s the real boss! I will not allow Bauer to steal my glory and take credit for the SuperFight event I have promoted for the past month. Therefore, now it will be a 2-day event! My matches will feature on Saturday and you better believe it - I’m going to deliver a better show than that hack. Don’t believe me? How about this… We’re going to have a Bullrope match between my pet monster, Black Taurus against the no-good goon Texano!!” Famous B eases his collar behind the desk, that match spells disaster for his untamed client. “Yes, Famous B, you brought it on Texano! His blood is on your hands too now. But this is not all… Bauer’s hostile takeover has forced my hand to change some matches. The trios match between Los Parks and the team of Laredo Kid, Aramis and Samuray del Sol will now be a… LADDER MATCH!! It is my responsibility to deliver a show that Bauer wouldn’t be able to match, and I believe this stipulation will make this battle a must see fight. But there’s another reason!” Cesar unveils the content of his bag - the magnificent Gift of the Gods title. It’s beautiful… “Believe me, I had to go above and beyond to get this sacred title back into my hands. As you may remember, the initial plan was to crown the new champion in a Ladder match, but then it dawned on me - we must have a decisive winner. A man that will hold the Holy Grail will have to prove himself in a Seven to Survive elimination match! Speaking of which, we will determine the last two entrants… right now!!” Cesar whispers some secret info in the ear of Melissa Santos. She doesn’t like what she hears and soon it becomes obvious why. “The following contest is a Parejas Increibles match… Introducing first, from La Hoja, California… the team of Marty The Moth and Melissa Martinez!” The dysfunctional family is here, and they bicker on their way to the ring. A lot of tension between the members of The Moth Tribe. “And their opponents… first, the ‘Ace of Triple A’, Totalmente Payaso, PSYCHO CLOOOOWN!” Psycho is beloved by this crowd, they are chanting his name, high fiving him, and the ace himself points out the best fan signs, showcasing them to the camera. He’s in a jolly mood, but Cesar Duran can change the mood with a swerve... “And his tag team partner… from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico… es El Rey Extremo… PAAGAAANOO!” The renegades have that look on their faces when they just know that something BIG is about to happen! Fans chant ‘Holy **IT!’ and ‘This is awesome!’ to welcome the arrival of the hardcore master. Psycho made some comments about Pagano making kids scared and giving clowns a bad reputation, so it’s going to be interesting how they work together in this ‘Strange Bedfellows’ match! Marty and Melissa feel the pressure already, screaming at each other. Let’s get this main event started! Parejas Increíbles Match Melissa Martinez and Marty The Moth vs. Pagano and Psycho Clown The action kicks off with Marty The Moth, known for his disturbing antics, attempting to confuse and distract the opposition. Psycho Clown answers with an electrifying burst of energy, launching Marty across the ring and peppering him with snug punches. Melissa blind tags herself and asks if Psycho will hit her too? He will not, and that’s a big mistake! She staggers Psycho with a Superkick, but the momentum of the match changes after Pagano steps in. He has no mental blocks, so he greets Melissa with a stiff lariat! As the battle rages on, the chaos escalates too. Marty The Moth returns and unleashes a flurry of unorthodox strikes that leave Pagano disoriented. He’s a different brand of crazy, you know? Marty and Melissa put their differences aside for a second and try to cover the brawler after a Double Suplex! While the chaos ensues in the ring, the camera cuts to Angelico, who’s still sitting across the barricade, looking severely depressed. “Maybe we should help the blind man leave the dangerous area? Sounds like a job for K-Dawg!” - jokes Famous B. Back in the ring, Psycho breaks up the pinfall attempt and together with Pagano they rally back. With the crowd on their feet, Psycho Clown and Pagano run over the competition. Pagano nails an Air Raid Crash on Melissa, a move she’s very familiar with. ‘The Ace’ signals for a Mexican Destroyer on Marty! BAM!! The arena erupts as Psycho Clown delivers the devastating maneuver, leaving ‘The Moth’ stunned. Pagano throws Melissa out of the ring, and we have two final owners of the Aztec Medallions! Psycho Clown and Pagano have managed to synchronize their efforts and secure a win in this wild tag team clash. The Moth Tribe leaves the building empty handed… With the final two decided, we have all seven competitors for the upcoming Gift of the Gods title match. ‘El Jefe’ calls out every medallion owner to the ring, so they can make this official. Juventud Guerrera, Carlito, Aerostar, Dr. Wagner Jr and Matt Cross join the winners of the main event for the ceremony. Upon seeing his friend get the medallion without a fight, the half blinded Angelico shakes his head in disbelief and walks away with his shoulders dropped. Fighters put their medallions into the Gift of the Gods championship, and Juventud Guerrera makes a big scene about being the guy that will ‘fill the center plate’... Ok. Famous B interrupts the procedure and addresses Cesar Duran about the inclusion of his client. “Senior Duran, I believe that you are about to book my client, Dr. Wagner Jr, without paying a fee to his manager. Yeah, that would be me! In case you deny my request, me and Stephen P. New will add this breach of contract into the long list of your managerial violations!” Duran is not bothered in the slightest, he has a ‘problem solver’ that will fix all conflicts using his time-proven negotiation methods. Cesar whistles, and out of the fog runs out Black Taurus!! The beast has his eyes set on the salmon jacket of Famous B, but his run in creates a commotion inside the actual ring. Like a bull in the china shop, Taurus knocks over the title and bumps into the people inside the ring. You know what comes next… ALL OUT BRAWL! Texano runs out to join the carnage and targets Taurus with a bull rope, and in the midst of chaos, Dr.Wagner Jr. shoves Psycho Clown into Pagano! ‘The King of Extreme’ wastes no time to return the favor, starting a fight with the fan favorite! Security guards have to intervene, and this is when we take our last commercial of the evening. Up next is the contract signing between King Muertes and IWA Caribbean champion, Low Ki! After some merch ads and SuperFight hype, we see a vignette involving Bandido, the man who fooled the world and got himself a world title match against Hammerstone. In the heart of the scorching Mexican desert, where the sun beat down relentlessly, stands the most notorious desperado the land had ever seen - Bandido. With a ruthless reputation and a price on his head higher than the highest peak of the Sierra Madre, he had become a legend that both terrified and fascinated the people of Mexico. Bandido is not just a gunfighter, he is a man with a purpose. For years, he had roamed the land, staying one step ahead of the law while amassing a small fortune in stolen gold. Now, his days as a fugitive were coming to an end. He had received an opportunity to amass a fortune of gold greater than any ever seen in Mexico. With just days to go before the fateful showdown, Bandido had gathered all the titles that he has claimed in the past few years. The Crash heavyweight championship, the Ring of Honor world title, and the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla belt. It is time to add some more gold on top of that collection, the MLW world heavyweight crown! As ‘The Most Wanted’ walks around his trophy room, a shadow of Demonic Flamita casts behind his back. The dark luchador overlooks Bandido’s regalia and points out that ‘all this’ wouldn’t be possible without him! Bandido doesn’t even turn his back, saying that Demonic Flamita will get the opportunity to carve his own destiny when he battles Myron Reed and AR Fox at SuperFight. ‘Look at my success as inspiration, not fuel for jealousy… Win the Middleweight championship, and maybe we will cross our paths again… Because my goal is to conquer ‘The Muscle Mountain!’ Flamita literally burns with rage and disappears without being acknowledged. And now, let’s get back to the ring to witness the contract signing!! The tension in the arena is palpable as the reigning champion, Low Ki, and the fierce challenger, King Muertes, make their way to the ring accompanied by Salina de la Renta and Catrina respectively. The stakes have never been higher – not only is the championship on the line, but King Muertes has agreed to wager his very identity, putting his sacred mask at risk. In the ring, the contract lies on the table like a ticking time bomb. The aura of danger surrounds every move. Muertes didn’t come here to talk, and neither did Catrina, so ‘The Man of 1000 Deaths’ puts his signature on the paper and pushes it down. Ms. de la Renta tells the brute not to hurry so much. As she sees it, Muertes is living dangerously and he should savor every moment on this Earth. ‘The Professional’, will retain the title, execute Muertes at SuperFight, and then take his mask. “Your date of death is on this contract, Ricky. This is not Lucha Underground, this time everything is for real… You’re going DOWN!” Salina attempts to break the fourth wall here, only getting a smirk out of Catrina. Low Ki fixes his tie and steps up to sign the deal. He seizes the pen from the table and… launches an assault on Muertes! The pen becomes a weapon in Low Ki's hand, as he’s driving it mercilessly into Muertes' shoulders and head! It is a tough watch and some people look away in disgust. Low Ki draws a cut from the challenger and signs the contract with blood! Not to be outdone, the managers at ringside, Salina de la Renta and Catrina, become embroiled in the turmoil! Words escalate into action as they exchange fiery slaps, adding a layer of volatile energy to the room. It’s a… CAAAAATFIGHT! As chaos reigns, King Muertes seizes the moment to unleash his own fury. With a primal roar, he lunges at Low Ki, spearing him with a thunderous force that sends them both crashing through a table that had been flipped in the fray. The mayhem has defined the contract signing, leaving no doubt that this clash between Low Ki and King Muertes will be one for the ages. With the table broken and the contract signed, the match is official – a collision of identities, power, and raw determination awaits us at SuperFight, as both champion and challenger prepare to push each other to the limits and emerge victorious… Final Rating
  15. If Roman can go months without defending the title, why Balor can't do the same? Unless it is a super bad one, of course.
