  1. I like the name Voodoo Wrestling. These are all various Voodoo logos for other companies. The black one is my favourite.
  2. I think even being able do the reverse, and defend the parent company's titles on the child show.
  3. I really like this idea. I usually fill my mods with 4-6 "owners" every year for the first 2-3 years just to seed the world for the same reason. Characters with no role but high business skills and cash.
  4. This idea is somewhat releated to a previous thread I posted. I am sure we've all seen the news items about a certain worker who hasn't worked in a while "raring to go". I don't know about you but I usually check out those workers profiles to see if I can hire them, even to bring in as a short-term enhancement talent. However I find that a lot of times these workers aren't available in my region (and I can't talk them into coming), or they are asking for too high a fee for how I'd use them (they are usually unemployed for a reason). I'd like to see a system where when a worker is on the news feed as "raring to go", they become open to working in any region for a certain period of time, and their price drops way below the 'market value' as a way to get work. Even if the trade-off is they'll only take a short-term deal (like freelancers) at this reduced price, I think that'd be a fair trade. If a worker is hungry (figuratively and literally) they will be more willing to take whatever work they can to prove themself. An American who really wants to work might be more willing to fly to India (travel paid) and work for cheap to prove what he can do. But once he's proven it, he'll expect to get paid fairly. Maybe the same American worker who would normally expect to be compensated for domestic travel would be willing to drive themself across American (pay their own travel cost) for a limited time just so they can get in the ring and prove themself? Another dynamic could be for some of these guys who aren't working in their region, to move to a new region when the "raring to go" news item comes up. If I was an indy worker who was in a crowded market I would be more likely to move to another area of the country with less guys, hoping to be more accessible to promotions there who want to hire me. A good way to help balance game talent? I've seen a few times where new promotions pop up in game areas that aren't wrestling hot beds (say North West USA or New Zealand) and there are very few local workers there for the promotion to use. If a worker really wants to get work, moving to that region (combined with lowering their price as outlined above) could be an excellent way to get booked. Hopefully this would lead to more of the lower-level indy promotions taking a chance on a wrestler who is a great value for a few months and see how he does for them.
  5. This was suggested briefly on the FantasyBookers Reddit and I thought I'd formally suggest it here. When workers are released from one of the big companies (WWE for example), often their asking price is more than medium to large indies can afford to pay for them, so these guys sit unemployed for a while until another big company eventually signs them to a Written/Exclusive Written monthly deal. We've seen in the past when wrestlers get released from WWE they ask for really high booking fees (Ryback comes to mind), but after not getting the bookings they wanted, they lower their fees to get work. I'd like to see something in the game where a worker who gets released charges what they feel is a fair market value for their popularity, but if they go unsigned maybe every month their price drops by a certain percentage (which could be affected by different attributes. Guys just in it for the money don't drop, but guys who want to work or have a real love for the business drop their price quicker/steeper for example) until they find what the market will bear. Perhaps an added dynamic could be that when a worker who was with a "Big" or larger company gets released, for a short time (maybe 3-6 months) they become available to work in all regions so they can cash in on their popularity and drive demand for promotions to sign them quickly? Or they will at least agree to work in any region if asked. A more advanced method would be to not be available in all markets but all the markets their previous employer had coverage in.

  7. This is one I'd really like. When I am running a company that is owned by a broadcaster (WCW, ROH, etc) and filter by "Willing to Negotiate", I feel like we shouldn't see companies we can't negotiate with. That should take the broadcaster owned networks into consideration.
  8. I have used the same method for MITB, and the 24/7 and Hardcore title changes.
  9. We need to balance that against the costs for smaller promotions. Maybe there could be a multiplier of x% that the travel costs go up by after a certain promotion size (Big seems like the right size in my mind)? I agree with what was said earlier that you can turn on some of the additional costs in the backstage rules if you want to offer more to your talent, and take a bigger dent out of your pocket book.
  10. I have wanted to do the same thing with creating new NXT promotions, and I think this would be a very addition.
  11. <p>I would tie this into the news articles about unsigned workers who are raring to go because they haven't been booked in months. If that news item comes up I'd like to see those workers reach out to local promotions to try and get a job.</p><p> </p><p> On the idea of talent recommending others, I think this would be excellent for talent on your roster who also run a Dojo, trying to get new grads some work.</p>
  12. I would imagine you could just extract these from one of the real world mods?
  13. Thanks for sharing! I will be adding this promotion to my game.
  14. I see in the game right now, a company can only take developmental workers from one company at a time. While I understand the logic, I think it could be interesting if one company could accept developmental workers for many promotions. I think it'd be fun to play as the "development territory to the stars". Having to hire good road agents and senior talent to work with the youngsters, and having all the challenges of many workers coming your way from different styles and promotions all over the world. And the constant roster influx would be a unique challenge. On the flip side...My company's dojo has been running for just over a year and produced its first grad class. The workers are OK, but not ready for TV yet (even my B show). I only have a handful of guys so having my own development promotion doesn't make sense, but if I could send them another promotion where I know they're getting work, that'd be ideal.

  16. I created a promotion that is owned by the ABC/Disney Media Group, who also own several broadcasters. You would think IRL if a big media group owned a promotion, they would want to do everything they could to get their company on TV, but in the game that doesn't seem to be the case. When playing this company, and filtering by "Will Negotiate" set to "Yes", I get a set of independent broadcasters who will negotiate, but when I try to actually negotiate with them, the negotiations are blocked by the parent company. It seems silly to show these companies as being able to negotiate if in fact they are not. For promotions owned by a media group, I suggest perhaps the toggle is changed from "Will Negotiate" to as Adam had suggested in the Tech Support forum "Can I Negotiate With Them". This promotion had a show on one of the ABC/Disney channels, but the deal broke down. Less than a year later, I tried to negotiate with my another Disney/ABC channel after building the promotion back up and they said I was blocked from negotiations for 5 years. I could see this in a normal scenario, but if the promotion is owned by a big media group would they not have a vested interest in getting their product back on the air? It seems in the case of 'owned' promotions, the media group would want to do everything they could to get the show back on air to protect their investment. Maybe in these cases the re-negotiation period should be reduced to 6 months or less? IRL it is very common to see something that didn't do as well on a big broadcaster like ABC taken off the air and moved to Hulu or a streaming platform shortly after where it has a smaller niche audience. It feels like for promotions owned by a media group, the group would want to get this show on their airwaves to make money. I feel like if a promotion is owned by a media group, they should always be able to negotiate with that group's broadcasters, bypassing many of the limits other promotions might have to go through (such as minimium popularity/region). It doesn't mean they'd have to get an automatic deal with every broadcaster in that company's portfolio, but especially for Internet broadcasters in the portfolio (or the lowest requirement broadcaster), they should get a sweetheart negotiation deal I feel.
  17. Based on this logic, a foreign company could then still sign someone to an Exclusive PPA deal. Maybe a better toggle would be "Promotion Can't Hire Foreigners to Exclusive Deals"? That would cover Exclusive Written and Exclusive PPA.
  18. That's a great idea. I never thought of it because I run 2 man teams in most cases. Since the game allows up to 3 man booths, perhaps the setting would be the default number of commentators, plus 2? So a 2 man booth could have a tag team for 4 total commentators in a match, or a 3 man booth could add a tag team for 5 total? (That does seem like a lot).
  19. I also agree with this. Maybe the ability to save default settings, as we can with contracts. Then those auto booker settings would be applied to that specific show.
  20. I second this. I would make life much easier in the case of bidding wars.
  21. It's a neat idea, and one I could see going even further, If your show is successful enough to start making the industry trend a different way (such as putting on amazing Hardcore shows in a family-friendly region or era and then the industry all starts moving towards Hardcore), that your company gets a huge boost for being a trend setter.
