No tid-bit.  But I've dabbled in the C-Verse and wanted to start a diary of a save, but I worry I'll be so clueless on the history of it that I'd be laughed at by the die hard c-verse fans!

My favorite diaries are C-Verse because it's always interesting to see how people perceive the different characters. It's fun to watch them take my favorite characters and bury them or have a fresh take on them that I never would've thought of.

  2. Agree, this is WWE.

There also should be an attribute (if not added yet) that makes wrestlers not wanting to be scripted.

A little off topic but I also feel like scripted angles should have a ceiling but a lower chance of bombing completely.

I know there are workers who "prefer to work without a script" but I'm not sure what exactly causes that. Probably a combo of their entertainment skills and personality.

  3. Only if we are allowed to use the worker once before the suspension begins. This would be to have him drop any titles he may hold, and/or to book injury angles, etc.

Sure, probably have to lose some company momentum if it happens to someone who's in a hot feud or holds a big title? If you're doing in house testing, then an option to hold off announcing the results to get titles off or angles to write them off TV could be an option, with the risk of the positive leaking out early and hitting your company prestige/momentum.

This is exactly my first thought. There should be that much leeway (even if it's optional). We do have stories about times (specifically in WWE) where a guy got popped while holding a title and they used him one or even a few times to rush him out of a feud before suspending him.

I would even put into the system situations where a guy got arrested for DUI or with drugs in the car, which I haven't seen in-game, but they tend to lead to punishments, too. I think that would be an interesting add-in to future iterations.

    St.T

I know that there are people who are "known to have trouble with the law" which leads to incidents which would probably be treated differently. Like how the Usos keep grabbing titles at the same rate as DUIs. I think those wouldn't be like a drug policy failure and would probably have to be covered somewhere else.

  4. Similar to the matches should be scripted/called in the ring setting, it would be nice to have a setting where you can choose whether or not all your angles are scripted or unscripted by default. You would still be able to change this in individual angles for workers but having to go through and everyone individually is a pain when you're a company like WWE that is going to script 95% of the time.
  5. Thinking about how drug testing is used in the game, it would be a cool option to have a company wide enforcement policy.

Basically, you would set the consequence for a positive test and that would happen automatically. You could have the option to set it for each drug type (Steroids/Soft Drugs/Hard Drugs/Pain Killers) and what happens for each successive failed test. For example, if you had a three strike policy for hard drugs you could set it up like this:

    1st fail: Fine

    2nd fail: Suspend

    3rd fail: Fire

Probably should allow for up to 5 steps so you could add a warning and a send to rehab if you want.

Pros: Morale hits would be lower for failed drug tests because the company policy is what it is. Also would remove "wrongful termination" after failing drug tests because it would be considered to be written into the contract.

Cons: Uncontrollable. If a guy gets popped for drugs, the punishment is automatic so the user could be put into awkward situations where a key player is suspended or sent to rehab at an inopportune time.

  6. <p>Similar to the checkbox in the product screen that sets whether all matches should be scripted automatically, it would nice if there was an option to choose that for angles. Most companies script everyone or script no one besides some special cases so making it easier to set this for the whole company would make booking a lot easier.</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks for all the hard work!</p>

  7. Who is the most untraditional person you put the world title on?

I love giving Joe Sexy and Robbie Retro runs with the belt. I stole Dusty Ducont and made him a Runaway Train type in one save as well.

Curious who everybody else likes to push for fun!

It took until 2020 but I put the World Title on Zimmy Bumfhole for a six month run.

For entertainment promotions, I can't imagine doing the main event first but for my pure promotions I book and move stuff all over the place.</p>

  10. I agree with the general consensus that these broadcasting changes sound great. Interested to hear people's opinion on this part though?

To use a real life example, I believe NXT sometimes tapes an episode of it's weekly show BEFORE a PPV but airs it AFTER. Now I don't think this has ever happened but imagine they want to book Ciampa losing the title at the takeover but getting it back in a rematch the very next week. This seems plausible and certainly something I could imagine someone wanting to book. But under the system planned at the moment this would go down on record as Ciampa retaining his title on the weekly show but then losing it on the takeover that actually airs before.

Now perhaps this is just an unavoidable issue or still preferable to the alternative of having title changes officially happen once the program is aired, I just can't off the top of my head think of a scenario where you would hold a show (with the intent of recording and broadcasting it a later date) and have an issue with the title changes not becoming official that night?

I went to Takeover Phoenix and they taped the matches for next week's NXT TV before the match so they definitely do this. WWE does this all the time where they tape a couple matches for "Superstars" before their main shows and then cut and paste them into episodes.

I share the concern about title changes. I remember the taping spoiler about Gargano losing the NA Title but he was still carrying it on the live Raw/Smackdown appearances until the taping aired. Would be great to be able to replicate this, especially if you've block taping a child company.

I think this should be tied into eras. Ratings for taped shows or block tapings pre-internet should have higher ratings than shows taped post-internet, as information about those shows weren't easily accessible before the internet became public.

It seems like a lot of the features need to take eras into account. A lot of the new features will be great for current day but doing historical mods seems like it would have a few inconsistency problems. Adam did a great job recognizing the "social media" and "internet" references were off in historical mods so I'm sure having some of these features work differently in different eras would be reasonable to do.

So, in a historic mod, no Internet Broacasters would exist yet.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Do companies open their own broadcasters randomly though when they grow? I actually don't know so making sure that the "AWA Network" isn't an Internet Subscription network would be necessary. Thinking about it though, I don't know if I've ever seen a CPU controlled company ever create their own broadcaster.</p>

Does Primo Colon talking about his memories of watching Randy Savage as a kid help him get over? If it's mentioned in the angle title that should be enough.</p>

I just hope something was planned for that aspect of booking. I'd rather sort matches by enhancement and openers as opposed to "unknowns". It would just be a turn off to me. And yes if that is the case, setting divisions would be a work around, but that would add a bunch of unnecessary work and filtering. Like I said, I'm sure eventually my questions will be answered with a journal entry. It could be a month from now or 6 months from now. Who knows. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think one of the nice things about it is that the penalty for "booking two jobbers" will go away if they're two "national stars" that would be normally pushed as "openers" in a really big company.</p>
  14. Will it be more difficult to build heat when tickets are free/discounted or is it only that they're more tolerant of bad things? It seems like it would be a little give and take where the crowd buzz would be difficult to build if everyone's there for free. Obviously a crowd could get into an amazing match fine but there should be a small penalty to match quality and crowd management in those situations.

In my game, my top guy with 100 pop across the nation is making 71k a month, that's less than one million a year. Granted, I don't use too many event bonuses but it's pretty easy to run a company and never pay a guy seven figures while WWE is paying quite a few guys much more than that.</p>
