  1. It's literally the best. Once I finally dove into the Cornellverse and discovered this mod, it was the only one I could play. It's so much more fun getting to use all the people you know from the start of their career to the end. Although none of my games ever lasted that long, when I had a 6 or 7 year RTG save, it's still fun the see the world develop. I love this database so much! Edit, so as to not double post. When you say you've gone through the companies, have you added attributes to the workers in the companies? I feel like this might be the most tedious/time consuming aspect of updating the mod.
  2. The last weekend of May (Saturday, Sunday), Rip Chord, Elemental and Oceano all die. F
  3. Switch from Touring to Weekly events in my Road to Glory in May. Finally make my first profit of around 8k. The last few days of the month look like this. Thursday, best show ever (71) on my 60th show. Friday, nothing Saturday, Rip Chord dies Sunday, Elemental dies, Oceano dies I get the joy from my best show and finally turning a profit, to seeing legends in 3 different parts of the game world die over the weekend. Not that I was ever gonna get to use them, but legends never die, ya know?
  4. The days of touring for me are done. It's not resulting in growth as often as I'd like. I'd rather get the money from event tickets and have a week between bookings. 4 shows a month sounds a lot nicer than 14 shows a month. I did take 3k off of my projected losses for April, so there's hope May or June will be my first profitable month. Still planning on holding off on WrestleWorld until I can sign guys to some Written's.

I'm running ribs every week on Peverell since I botched a move and pissed him off. Got Prime Time upset, but he's jobber fodder at the moment. Got a lot of darlings when I hit tiny to pump up match ratings.</p>

I've been able to get them to give me 60%. Did you try TV? Does it result in more revenue if you do TV over events? I'd assume no, but on Events, you also have to use more talent so they don't get pissy for being left off shows.</p>

I'm at 50 popularity, hosting weekly events on WrestleWorld with normal ticket prices at $240k in the bank with a 33 man roster. 32% prestige and 58% momentum. I'm only in the second week of March 2022.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> When did you start running the weekly TVs? Production costs, and potentially losing workers scare me. I know I wanna try to get Youngman and Callum on writtens. Those 2 have by far my best match ever, I believe it was 74 as the main event of my first "PPV" card.</p>

Giving Performer should help at some point as well!</p><p> </p><p> Hit Tiny right before my first "PPV" type show at the end of February. Wound up having it as my first paid event with very cheap tickets. Been going with free touring shows. Ran 26 shows between January and February. Sitting at 19 pop a couple shows into March. Got a solid roster. Not sure when I'll get on WrestleWorld. Debating if it's worth it.</p><p> </p><p> Financially I lost 5k in January, and 5.4k in February. February also saw 4 additional shows (1 of which was a normal event) which led to increases in talent and production costs. Sponsorship jumped from 2160 to 5675 and we made 1k off ticket sales for the 1 non-touring event. I'm estimated to get 7.7k off sponsorships now that I'm at small. So I may shift from touring to weekly events rather soon. My only fear is the need to book everyone, with the additional costs for the talent. I'm not sure if sponsorship and ticket sales will cover the costs. As of now, I'm booking mostly singles with the occasional tag or multiman match. 3 matches per show, and since it's a touring show, nobody has complained about being left off. </p><p> </p><p> At what popularity did everyone begin going towards weekly, or even monthly shows? I'd ideally like to complete the challenge with my company, but I also haven't been tempted by another company just yet.</p>

Kept wanting to redo an attempt in 2016 after hitting that HoF status in it and never did, so I'm excited to make things happen in this one! The idea behind the company is kinda similar to NWA in the sense of it being a throwback to older wrestling and mostly in-ring action that still features characters and whatnot. </p><p> </p><p> CR Daredevil is an 18 year old middleweight technician who wears a mask everywhere he seems to go, as if trying to hide his identity from the world... for some reason.... </p><p> (Side note, I did do the Quick Skill Creation tool and got really lucky with my stats adding up to 879 not counting Respect and Resilience. If this is an issue to start it this high, I can edit the stats down before I get too far into it. Feel like the Skill Creation causes higher than 750 a lot though, so maybe the first option should be higher? Just a thought.)</p><p> </p><p> The added benefit of this attempt is that the shows and whatnot will be recorded for my YouTube channel (CRDaredevil05 if it's not obvious lol), so you can watch my triumphs and failures along the way if you'd like. </p><p> </p><p> Look forward to seeing everyone else continue to progress in this!</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You're the 2nd one I've seen with excellent potential for all the stats... can we do that? If so, I'm major behind!</p>
  13. In past iterations of the challenge the goal was to get as popular as possible as fast as possible in order to make enough off of ticket sales to outweigh your talent/broadcasting costs. Once you did that it was smooth sailing. Does anyone know if the 6 month buffer after the first year is still in effect or do you get 12 months of debt and at the start of January you're done if you're not in the green?

(Only asking this as I was losing a fortune until Astil pointed out to me that with 10,000+ attendances having it set to free probably wasn't the smartest business strategy ever. Oops.)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> What popularity were you at before drawing 10k?</p>
  15. If the problems are being worked on, which I have no reason to believe they are not, then I'm not too concerned with not being updated every step of the way. As a consumer of the game who's playing it daily, I'd rather the time and effort be put forth on fixing the bugs/game play mechanics that aren't working properly rather than updates on what specifically is being addressed first. Reason being is that I've no reason to this point to doubt that Adam is working on the game. From being here for the release of 16 and now 20, Adam seems to be spending a ton of time of ensuring the game meets the standards of the fan base. Until he shows a reason to doubt him or his work/effort towards the game, I'll continue to put faith into Adam.
  16. What's your company size? I was thinking it would be worth it if you were a smaller company on say WrestleWorld where you're not quite getting a ton off ticket sales but running 4 shows a month would lead to more losses.
  17. Oh I've been running small shows... should I switch to touring? Aside from the lower asking prices and higher ratings needed for pop growth, does it change anything?
  18. Oh the urge to sign Dreadnought and James Diaz to 10 year deals is gonna be real tempting. I'm a sucker for legacy talent. I'm really curious what my financials look like at that point and if I'll be able to realistically sign talent without going bankrupt.
  19. What causes guys to hand in their notice? Poor booking/momentum?
  20. I agree with the 2nd half. Not every match has to have a main event rating. Speaking for myself, I'll watch most matches, but the ones that get me excited are when it's 2 top guys facing off. An essentially throw away 3v3 match shouldn't draw a large rating because it's a star with 2 underneath guys. We're not talking Shield v Wyatts when both were hot. That being said, if the match result doesn't lead to a loss of popularity, I don't think it should stop your from booking it. The match lengths are there to cap the rating of non main events, in my mind. You're not gonna have 2 job guys going 20 minutes. The chances of the 2 job guys giving you a 100 rating is near impossible, but if you had them go 15 minutes for some reason and they did get a 100 rating, the cap would push it to whatever the cap is, I understand it. So say it's 90, it would lower the rating 10 points. But if the match scored a 50, it wouldn't lower it to 40, it would remain a 50.
  21. I'm indifferent on NEW. I couldn't see SWF having any company as a development territory. Eisen is not a guy that was pro territory. If you're attempting to create the WWF/ECW relationship, you could have them be on friendly terms. But I'm not so sure that would be a good idea either. I say leave SWF as a lone wolf and leave the east coast wars as is. As for CGC, that could be interesting. SWF is worried about the states with HGC so expanding across the border to the north would not benefit them. George brought SWF to Canada for his company so that could be an interesting dynamic. My only question is what would SWF gain from the relationship? It doesn't seem like they get anything positive from it. Developing new talent, I would think, would be a far distant priority to the current threat of HGC.
  22. <p>Are tournaments limited to 10 man? I wanted to run a round Robin tournament with 2 brackets of 8 but the in game tournament editor only holds 10 people. </p><p> </p><p> I suppose a work around would be setting up 2 individual tournaments.</p>
  23. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="MaddoxEra" data-cite="MaddoxEra" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47503" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I was especially shocked by the 92, I had gotten the repetitive booking warning beforehand as I forgot they had a TV match in January. Although it's not all good, Remo vs Valiant got a shocking 73 in the match beforehand.<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> That sounds like a great feud & a brilliant way to turn Rocky heel. I had intended on making Crippler the World Champion and with the ratings he's been getting he isn't giving me a choice. He's had 14 matches by the end of Master of Puppets and the lowest rating he's gotten is 76 and only 3 below 80.</p><p> </p><p> I have two ideas that I'm working on for it; 1) Jumbo Jackson is getting released by USPW. I bring him in as Jumbo Shrimp who is trying to convince Crippler to revive the Lobster Warrior. An attack by World Champion Des Davids on Shrimp finally turns Crippler as he defends his friend. He gets a title shot, enters the match in full Lobster Warrior gear and walks out as Champion.</p><p> 2) His impressive in ring performances lead to more and more fans naturally cheering him, he starts to lean away from The Crippler persona and going by his real name. He finally wins the title, then gets involved in a feud with Scythe which leads to a Buried Alive match. He loses and comes back a couple months later as Lobster Warrior.</p><p> </p><p> I feel like #1 would get a huge crowd reaction on the night but #2 does a better job of keeping true to the prestige of the title. Plus it puts the belt on Scythe in a way I think is guaranteed to make him top heel.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I would definitely go #2. Although as rufas said, the 2 could be combined. He wins the belt, jumbo returns with a match, as I dont think he's big enough for fans to really care, and gets destroyed post match by Scythe. Crippler, straddling the line between good and bad, runs down to save his old stable mate. </p><p> </p><p> I would personally stay away from the gimmicky personas. Announcers could discuss on commentary how Jackson and Crippler were friends in a time past and Crippler is coming to save his long time friend. Poor verbiage, but I think my point is explained properly. You then have a tag partner for Crippler and someone to eat falls in order to build up Scythe or whomever else you want to feud with Crippler while also keeping him (Crippler) strong.</p>
