I do the 1930 mods--and an awesome hiatus/starting absence would be 'at war' or 'military related' or something like that. Also the time frame for absence is up to 240 weeks. Can that be moved up...maybe closer to 7-8 years? thanks. Nick

Our announcer and bastion of local wrestling promotions, let's us know that real Honolulu Wrestling comes from the Civic Center on tuesdays only. Anything that has come out recently in the rags---is just hearsay.
Match 1:
Rubberman Higami
vs.
Henry Calejo
Hawaiian star Rubberman Higami ran circles around local talent Henry Calejo. The fans felt the match was too short. 26
Higami stops at the commentating desk and has a few words for the fans.
"Thank you to the fans who came out to see Hawaii's best..but no thank you...No thank you to whoever decided I should be out first against this no-name.
'No thank you' to the person that robbed my fans of a real show.
'No thank you' to the person who thinks your main event should be McShane and Sneezey Achiu.
No thank you, No thank you, No thank you." 65
Match 2:
Don Hill
vs.
Luis de La Torre
Neither man brought a lot of reaction from the crowd, with the exception of the match ended. Both men collided outside the ring causing them to not make the ref's count. 20

Shin'ichi Shikuma

Marion Fretas
Not to be outdone, Shikuma forced a local lad to tap out---in a violent submission, debuting his new "Violent on the Inside" gimmick. 19

Billy Wiedner
vs.
Louis Mendonca
Billy Wiedner now portraying a "Breaker of Bones" gimmick does just that against a local talent. At this point, the fans have had enough of this shit. 16
Main Event
Walter Achiu
vs.
Danny McShane
Finally, the fans get some action, however adequate it is. In another short match, Achiu gets a flashpinfall over the mustacheod bully Danny McShane. 41
Rubberman Higami steps back out with a post shower robe. He walks towards the ring where Walter Achiu is celebrating.
Higami slow claps. Honest? Condescendingly?
Higami's shouts over the ring, where some fans believe him to be congratulating Walter Achiu. Some aren't too sure.
Overall:32 As the fans file out of the Civic Center, promoter Manuel Calhou reassures them that this is a transition period. His scoundrel of a matchmaker Ed Vast left him--and YOU...high and dry. Just wait and see.

Weekly Wrestling Sheet. Meet Trash Can
The assistant to Manuel Calhau scrammed right after delivering his boss the wrestling sheet. Normally, it would be about Calhau and his booker Ed Ratsch's upcoming show. But this time its different. Ratsch went on his own. His own Pan-Pacific federation. What?! Aloha Entertainment isn't enough?
Calhau throws the sheet into his office trash can. He resides to put it in the back of his head. He has a main event to put on.

Because of all the requests for RL Mods connecting this and the other oldest (70s), we are working on DLCs with new workers/narratives/eras/companies--that will extend the NEWTRUST mod beyond its time.

That would be great. I want to make a 37 variant off of my 34, since thats when the industry tanks.
45 would be good cause its right after the war and television starts to boom. Also its right before the NWA (Alliance) is formed.

Ok I have to ask. Template Matchmaker good and Template Matchmaker acsended? They show up as unemployed workers. Bio's bizzare on both. Actually there are several template workers in this database. By design?
Yes--they are a family...the Templates. They worked mostly in Western Canada.

Nah I think you have a point.
In the 80's Hogan and the like were a part of pop culture. Same with WWF and WCW in the late 90's.
Nobody in the early century considered wrestling as part of the same culture.
I know that this subject has been debated quite a bit, but I believe it was close to equivalent between 30s and 80s/late 90s. Though tv wasn't around and wrestling wasn't great on the radio-all the big stars were house hold names. Every local newspaper would detail the big matches across the countries and big matches were even shown before movies.
Londos himself drew more fans than Hogan consistently and over a longer period. How it can be compared to different times is where it's hard to compare facts. Londos has a larger average gate (with inflation) but PPV didn't exist so how do you compare?

So a quick browse shows you have 191 yet to debut workers which is great! Was wondering if you would consider working with other modders to make this the ultimate mod and make it able to run up until at least the 80s? I can think of Territory Daze would be the next best one to merge with.

The gif issue has been resolved---as I just simplified my skin to prevent issues.
I posted that link above. Just the default with a a few tweeks.
As for debuting--I've head that from a lot so people can play a long time. What we have now introduces people fully til 1937 --and then less after that. At that time there was a big fall in the industry. Then the early 40s was the war.
The closest time mod is Mammoth's 1970 Mod which is my favorite. But thats still a BIG GAP. I do have pipe dreams of making a birth of the NWA/rise of television in the late 40s mod. That would be a partial bridge...but a lot of work.

Unfortunately I cannot play the game. I started as Jim Crockett Promotions with Jim Crockett as owner. Made numerous negotiations to fill my roster. On third day of advancing game crashes every time at same point
The run time error is 3020 and says "update or cancel / update without add / new or edit"
It happens everytime while it is on the screen "Processing Decisions - Owners"

There was an Evil Dentist, tons of hillbillys and even a space alien. Did I mention that there was a stable of Roughneck Dwarves? Thats a big changing point in the wrestling scene. I feel like that would be the next mod and obviously all the important war events would be included. </p><p> </p><p> This is more of the prequel to that.</p>
