I want to put Shane as owner of WWE, with Vince alive and still working there. What do you guys think would be needed for Vince to give ownership to his son? What would be a good backstory other than the usually bankruptcy angle? I'm usually good at these things, but a second opinion doesn't hurt.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Declining ratings, Vince feels the business has passed him by, so the only thing he can do is hand it off to the next generation. Vince's greatest attribute is in knowing the big picture (per Pritchard Podcasts) and he knows they need a change to take them into a new generation.</p><p> </p><p> Or, getting more political, the backlash of Linda being prominent in the current administration has shined a bad light on WWE. In an effort to distance themselves from the political drama that consumes America, Vince sees declining ratings as a referendum to "shake things up" and remove himself from the equation.</p><p> </p><p> Finally, Shane and Stephanie have a falling out. Steph hated him for leaving and things finally come to a boiling point. Steph issues an ultimatum to Vince that it's me or him, but one of us have to go. Vince knows his time is short and eventually falls on the side of his son. Shane not only has the money in his business ventures outside WWE but pulls a page out of Vince's playbook when he buys the territory from his dad, leaving Steph and Hunter on the outs.</p>
  2. <p>I usually try to take the fight to the Modern Japan Movement early due to poaching. They may still get Tanyu Toshusai, but I usually can keep Razan, Yosh Taku, and Goto by renegotiating their deals on day 1, and offering a touring contract if needed to make them loyal. My endgame with BCG is always to lock down as many as I can with loyalty so I can build around them, while bringing in outsiders to leech overness/skills to my loyal guys. Below is a shortlist of impact signings you can steal from the Modern Japan companies and make loyal to BCG.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Steal:</span></p><p> Azumamaro Kita - SAISHO (Can get on PPA - If set company relationship to "At war" can steal and get loyalty) - Future star if can get him</p><p> Azumamaro Shimizu - GCG (must offer touring contract to steal and get loyalty) - Great hand</p><p> Danjuro Kikuchi - GCG (must offer touring contract to steal and get loyalty) - Great hand</p><p> Isoruku Arakaki - SAISHO (Can get on PPA - If set company relationship to "At war" can steal and get loyalty) - High menace</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Other youngsters can make loyal:</span></p><p> Motoyuki Miyake - MUST sign. Future "great" if can make loyal.</p><p> Gidayu Katou - Great workhorse who the AI tends to ignore</p><p> Stealth Z - Decent starting pop and SQ. His flashiness and selling help shore up a hole on BCG roster</p><p> MUSCLE Serizawa - Power can come in handy</p><p> Kyuichi Matsumoto</p><p> Shuzo Utagawa (Debuts in Feb)</p><p> Eikichi Itou - High menace</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Staff to make loyal:</span></p><p> Naizen Uboshita - I feel he deserves his own section. Can get loyalty if offered day 1, great entertainment skills and can function as color guy as well.</p><p> </p><p> There are more loyalty options as well out there, but I have highlighted the highest impact ones above I feel.</p><p> </p><p> If you can execute the above, you end up with Razan, Funakoshi, Torii, and Blast leading the way and Y. Taku, Kita, Stealth Z and Miyake as your "Future greats" to build around. One of the next for (usually Taku) will replace Blast when ready and you can spin off as many factions as you need.</p><p> </p><p> A couple other "non-loyal" workers worth bringing in are Konrad Makinen and Logan Wolfsbaine. They both come cheap but can pop good ratings early while passing skills to rest of roster.</p><p> </p><p> Also, cheap plug, I did updated logos, titles, events for BCG, which can be found here: <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=539159" rel="external nofollow">http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=539159</a></p>

  6. I just wanted to drop in and say these are really great smw88. Great job!

Disgraceful is a bit harsh if serious.</p><p> </p><p> Fleisch links to 2 alternative pic packs in the first post if you aren't a fan of the ones in the mod.</p>
  8. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Fleisch" data-cite="Fleisch" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41205" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Due to an issue I have had with a few worker submissions I am no longer accepting other peoples work being imported into this data set just now. What you do with your own copy is up to you.<p> </p><p> When being provided with data I give people an element of trust and assume what they have provided me was their own. On two separate occasions now I've been submitted work that has clearly been ripped from another mod. This now means at the weekend, rather than working on the data, I am going through the mod to ensure its integrity is not called into question based on a few lazy submissions. Anything I find that I believe to have been ripped off will be deleted. That includes promotions, not just workers.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Sorry to hear about that, as I'm sure the last thing you want to do is comb through someone else's work and try and chase down where it came from. Similar to what alpha said, I don't think anyone questions the integrity of the mod. You are always transparent about what is being updated/changed with each release.</p>
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Fleisch" data-cite="Fleisch" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41205" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>So many people with so many conflicting opinions on NJPW. One release it'll be "they should tour month a", next its "oh no they should tour month b". I'll take a look later on regarding the changes but this will be the last time I update NJPWs tour months so everyone get on the same page. Thanks for the feedback.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> For NJPW, there is really 3 options for touring months.</p><p> </p><p> 1) July Only off (Current) - Only month without an event scheduled. Any other month off will require moving events around. AI doesn't care about G1 Road to shows, as it only books the finals. If user controlling, can add it as touring month in pre-game editor</p><p> </p><p> 2) July + December Off (Move Up World Tag League To November). Works as well. World Tag League happens a few weeks before real life, but everything else stays the same. Also fits within AI boundaries once game starts, so user can edit touring months.</p><p> </p><p> 3) Tour all months - AI will always run shows, but won't ever get a chance to "self-correct" if it moves up/down in size from a sim perspective.</p><p> </p><p> My preferred would be option 1, but option 2 works as well. For option 3 the AI gets weird if you never give it a month off of touring so I would caution against that. The AI only cares about tournament titles, so it will function fine with July off. If user controlled, should just tour all months as you set the schedule.</p><p> </p><p> My $0.02 at least ^</p>

  16. NJPW/AJPW Edits Similar to Wrestle-1, I went back through and logged match ratio for NJPW/AJPW over the past year to give them a more realistic ratio. I also simmed out with the AI some different title defense settings for a more realistic number of defenses throughout the year. Outputs below: NJPW Match Ratio: 1v1 = 36% 2v2 = 28% 3v3 = 36% Triangle = 0% 4-way = 0% Title Settings (changes in bold): (Belt - Level - Event, Tour, TV) IWGP Heavyweight - Main - Normal, Never, Never IWGP Intercontinental - Floating - Normal, Never, Never IWGP Junior Heavyweight - Midcard - Often, Never, Never IWGP Junior Heavweight Tag Team - Midcard - Often, Never, Never IWGP Tag Team - Midcard - Often, Never, Never NEVER Openweight - Midcard - Often, Never, Never NEVER 6-Man - Floating - Often, Rarely, Rarely Title Defenses: Belt (Actual defenses > default data > with changes) IWGP Heavyweight - 6 (6E) > 8 (8E) > 9 (9E) IWGP Intercontinental - 7 (7E) > 5 (5E) > 10 (10 E) IWGP Junior Heavyweight - 8 (8E) > 19 (13E, 7T) > 10 (10 E) IWGP Junior Heavweight Tag Team - 8 (8E) > 14 (5E, 10T) > 6 (6E) IWGP Tag Team - 7 (7E) > 9 (9E) > 8 (8E) NEVER Openweight - 9 (7E, 2T) > 58 (14E, 44T) > 8 (8E) NEVER 6-Man - 13 (8E, 5T) > 11 (1E, 10T) > 14 (6E, 8T) TV Deals: I mentioned the first 2 changes in a previous post, but there probably is a case to be made to add the 3rd (AXS TV) now that AXS is only roughly a month behind when showing content (and uses the TV Asahi content as what it puts english commentary to) Tour Highlights on TV Asahi, tour highlights = yes, Time slot = Late Night; Bring down NJPW World size in Japan (based on subscriber #'s) Tour Highlights on AXS, tour highlights = yes, Time slot = Late Night; AJPW Match Ratio: 1v1 = 38% 2v2 = 29% 3v3 = 21% Triangle = 2% 4-way = 0% Title Settings (changes in bold): (Belt - Level - Event, Tour, TV) All Asia Tag - Mid - Often, Rarely, Rarely GAORA TV - Mid - Often, Rarely, Rarely Triple Crown - Main - Often, Never, Never Junior - Mid - Often, Rarely, Rarely Tag - Floating - Often, Rarely, Rarely (suggest raising belt prestige to 50+%, so it is seen as higher than All Asia Tag by AI) Title Defenses: Belt (Actual defenses > default data > with changes) All Asia Tag - 6 > 11 > 10 GAORA TV - 8 > 25 > 11 Triple Crown - 8 > 17 > 5 Junior - 7 > 16 > 11 Tag - 8 > 11 > 12 TV Deals: In general, I am a bit torn on what to suggest for TV for Japanese companies, as a true PPV model doesn't really exist there. A company like AJPW will show taped versions of shows about a month before on networks like Samurai TV or GAORA, and have the occasional live broadcast of big events on them as well. It's not consistent enough to be a true "TV show", but they do show the occasional event. In testing, it seems like the ideal mix is below, but I am going to keep playing around with it. Change AJPW on GAORA to Touring Highlights show
  17. Tour Names to Add + Few Other Tweaks Also, did a quick canvas on tour names to add in the data + a few other tweaks. 18. Wrestle-1 Changes The list of updates is really impressive Fleisch. I am very excited for the July data set with those changes + Derek B's stat tweaks! Thank you! I went back through the last year of Wrestle-1 shows and logged how many singles, tags, etc... they held to work out a match ratio for them (did same for NJPW, coming soon) that was a bit more true to form. For example, they had no 3v3 matches set in match ratio meaning their UWA Trios title was never defended if the AI was running the company. I then played around with title settings so that they had an appropriate number of title defenses throughout the year and came up with a mix that much better simulates there booking in my eyes. Below you will find the results (I ran 3 year-long tests with settings to work out an average) and suggested changes Fleisch. As mentioned, I am doing the same with NJPW and will post up in the near future. Default data Default Match Ratio (1v1 = 80%, 2v2 = 20%, 3v3 = 0%, Triangle = 0%, 4-way = 0%) Title Defenses UWA Trios - Title never defended W-1 Cruiserweight - 39 (all touring shows) W-1 Heavyweight - 38 (all touring) W-1 Result - 37 (1 event, rest touring) W-1 Tag Team - 23 (2 events, rest touring) Wrestle 1 actual booking Match Ratio (1v1 = 43%, 2v2 = 37%, 3v3 = 19%, Triangle = 1%, 4-way = 0%) Title Defenses UWA Trios - 10 W-1 Cruiserweight - 12 W-1 Heavyweight - 9 W-1 Result - 12 W-1 Tag Team - 9 Suggested changes Match Ratio (1v1 = 43%, 2v2 = 37%, 3v3 = 19%, Triangle = 1%, 4-way = 0%) - do for both Events and TV Title Settings (Event, Tour, TV) UWA Trios - Often, Rarely, Rarely W-1 Cruiserweight - Often, Rarely, Rarely W-1 Heavyweight - Often, Rarely, Rarely W-1 Result - Often, Rarely, Rarely W-1 Tag Team - Often, Rarely, Rarely The output of the above match ratio tweak and title settings gives you the following defenses throughout the year UWA Trios - 9 W-1 Cruiserweight - 16 W-1 Heavyweight - 15 W-1 Result - 11 W-1 Tag Team - 10 As you can see, it drastically reduces the # of title defenses in a year from the default data and much more closely aligns with their actual booking over the past year. I would also set the min weight for the Wrestle-1 Heavyweight title to minimum weight = Middleweight, as only 1 wrestler is classified as a lightweight who won the title in their history (the 10 others being middleweight or above). Finally, I would change the Wrestle-1 Result Championship to just "Wrestle-1 Result" as "championship" is implied and auto-added in news stories. Any questions, please let me know. I'd be happy to share a google sheet to show you how I worked out the output/logs as well, just PM me for it. Thanks again!

I noticed a couple things on the NJPW events after the refresh in the new data that were missed on updates.
