  1. <p>Just wondering how you're doing the Future Workers that you're importing? Do you plan to go back and nerf some of the stats and overness? A lot of database creators/modders seem to give Future workers the stats they would have later rather than the stats they should have when debuting which ends up with guys who become amazing workers to be that way from the start. </p><p> </p><p> Just wondering what kind of realism you plan to go with on that and where your thinking is.</p>
  2. <p>I feel like Nickman has a worse coffee addiction than I do. All of his posts mention his coffee. </p><p> </p><p> A few extra days to wait is nothing. I'm excited for the final product.</p>
  3. I'll take a look through and see what I can turn up and provide a list of the ones that are missing that I think would be cool to add.
  4. Yeah I understand them not being on the rosters, but having them in the database at least would be a help. Then the player could put them on the roster if they wanted/needed to use them. I think Hive's 95 scenario had a decent amount of enhancement talent as well. I feel like the 80's mods, where they would be most useful, lacked them though. Another thing that would be good to flesh out is more "Yet to debut" people. I assume this is a time thing for mod makers as most want to get on to the next mod but adding in people who didn't neccessarily become stars but still debuted later on would be great. Most mod makers do well adding the "stars" but kind of fall back on not adding guys who didn't become much of anything.
  5. Some of the things I always find missing from retro mods are the jobbers. You always see the biggest names like Horowitz and I've seen some Dale Wolfe, but there is still a real lack of jobbers that you'd see on WWF television or even WCW television often times. I assume it's done for balance but it's just strange to see some and not others. I'm trying to think of some but I don't have the game in front of me to double check to make sure they aren't actually in there.
  6. Didn't realize you'd posted this hype one as well so I got excited that 2006 was coming first. Either way your work is excellent so whichever comes first, I will be sure to play.
  7. I assume this is the first one you're working on? That would be specatular....and I'll owe you a second steak (since I haven't bought you the first one <_<)
  8. I just realized that Mike Awesome is not in the data. I know that he technically retires in February of 2006 but it's more because of money then it is because he couldn't go.
  9. <p>With Idol's blessing, I'm going to take over this mod and continue to work on the conversion to TEW 2016, and then if he doesn't plan to do it himself, I'll most likely convert it to TEW 2020 when the time comes.</p><p> </p><p> With that being said, if you notice anything with the demo that you feel needs to be fixed or changed. Let me know. If you have people who you want to see added, let me know as well. My plan is to make this as extensive as possible including the "Yet To Debut" section so that the game world will continue to expand as time goes on. Size matters in this case.</p><p> </p><p> Now I will say that this will not be a quick process as it's not something I'm going to be sinking my whole life into. I'll never claim to be a prolific mod-maker but I do plan to take my time and put the love/effort into this that it deserves after all of Idol's hard work. I'll try to release an update every couple of months until I'm at a point where I feel like it's as complete as it's going to get.</p>
  10. I've asked some people to see if we can find out some announcers for you. One thing I notice as I look around the database is that you've really only got about 40 wrestlers set to debut. What is your plan with that? Are you looking to expand those? While looking at a possible TNA game, I noticed that guys like Tommy Mercer/Crimson, Samuel Shaw, Jax Dane and various others aren't in the database. Now I know that 2 of them didn't debut until 2007 and Dane didn't actually come around until 2009. I'm just wondering if you plan to add future workers like them as you continue on with the database?

The only thing missing is announcers for these respective companies as I couldn't find any information on this, even for those with TV shows at this time. If anybody could help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. I've also added one or two dojo's from the aforementioned companies and I'll also be adding about 50 Japanese women to the modification to help give these companies a nice well to choose from. I've also decided I'll be adding NWA Cyberspace, NWA UK Hammerlock, Impact Pro Wrestling (New Zealand) and International Wrestling Australia to the modification to fill out some crucial areas. Apart from that, I'm just continuing to add from my "To Do" list. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Hey Mammoth, I'm going to see what I can find for you on some of these but just want to check on something. Are you just adding promotions for their history? The reason I ask if that All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling actually closed in April 2005. Just want to make sure I'm not looking for something in the wrong area. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Mammoth" data-cite="Mammoth" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45924" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In it's current form, I'm against adding NXT UK as you can't add Company Relationships so that they come into affect once a promotion debuts. I'd hate to see NXT UK debut and have no affiliation to the 'E, as this just wouldn't be possible in real life unlike FCW/NXT which may have possibly been a thing regardless of whether they became the 'E's developmental company or not. Adam has already announced extensive work into Company Relationships and such like for TEW20 so if there's the possibility of giving a relationship to a debuting promotion in the future, it's certainly something I will revisit.<p> </p><p> In other news, I have now finished with All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling, GAEA Japan, OZ Academy and World Wonder Ring STARDOM so I'm just putting the finishing touches on NEO Women's Pro-Wrestling before completing JD Star and Ice Ribbon. I'll be then moving onto one/two (still undecided) NWA affiliates before working on the rest of my to-do list, which is growing hour by hour. <strong>I don't know what y'all think, but I've actually been thinking about holding off on another update for TEW16 as otherwise - apart from the stuff that's going to have to be updated for TEW20 - there won't be much difference between the two versions. I'd much rather people go into Shifting Sands on TEW20 thinking it's entirely different and new but maybe that's just me?</strong> xD</p><p> </p><p> P.S. - The skin has been put on hold due to TEW20 working under different dimensions. In previous years I would have probably continued and just edited it to the new layout of buttons but as TEW20 is going to be something completely different, I think it's probably better I just wait and then revisit it.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I feel like if you're going to do this then we're never going to get an actual finished version. As good as this mod already is, there are places it still feels extremely lacking. I know that I, and I'm sure most everyone, appreciate the work you've put into it but we've still got at least a year, if not more before TEW 20 comes out. I feel like people won't mind their not being much of a difference between the two because the game upgrade will be enough to change the game world.</p>
  13. Oh Mammoth, you glorious bastard! How I love thee!
  14. I'm pretty sure Matt was in the affected area where the Hurricane hit so he's probably not thinking about this at this time.
  15. Is there a time frame when booking a Story Telling match? Like does it need to be 15 minutes or more or is that just "Slow Build" matches?
  16. It's all about quality. The man just had a kid (well he didn't because that would be awkward) and I'm sure his free time is quite limited. I'd rather he take his time and create an excellent mod rather than rush it and it not play right...no matter how much I really want it to come out. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  17. I hate to really ask in here, but there's no hype thread made for it so....how's the 2006 mod coming along?
  18. So how many people are hoping for a Christmas present of a bunch of the talked about Mods being dropped? Jan 2001 and the one that Justtxyank is working on (not sure if it's 90, 92 or 93) would be great christmas presents <_<
  19. <p>Well the meme's are "Everyone is talking about "Insert whatever here" and I'm just over here doing "insert whatever"</p><p> </p><p> Such as mine which is "Everyone is talking about having kids and I'm just over here wondering why Batman keeps letting The Joker **** up Arkham City"</p><p> </p><p> Glad to hear that Shifting Sands is still on. The Beta for it looks amazing and I'm currently doing a 2005 watch through so I can start on Shifting Sands when it comes out. </p><p> </p><p> Not my intention to take away from this one though because this mod is amazing. I just don't know enough about the time frame to really enjoy it but I can definitely appreciate the amount of work that went into it.</p>
  20. As the facebook meme says, everyone is talking about Territory Daze and I'm just over here hoping that he's still working on the 2006 mod. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  21. I haven't seen Matt on the boards lately but I swear if he randomly shows up and drops the 1993 mod, I may pee my pants. Just a little. Like not a full on stream but definitely a little squirt. That's how long I've been waiting on that. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Realized it might be better situated in this thread:<p> </p><p> Is there a resource or website you use to determine the roster/titles/champions/information of a company at a specific date (for example by year)?</p><p> </p><p> Thanks in advance.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Wikipedia or Cagematch are the ones people use most often I think.</p>
  23. Hey now! 2004 - 2005 was JBL's awesome run <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  24. I honestly wouldn't bump Magnum up in Psychology. I agree with your assessment that he's still young with time to grow and seeing as it's only 1985, he was just starting to heat up in popularity and come into his own in the grand scheme of things. I think 73 with the ability to grow is perfect for him at this time. Too many people want to over power stats based on what people become rather than looking at them during the time period you're creating.
  25. <p>I'm doing a WCW 1992 watch through right now to get hyped for the 93 mod. I know that WCW 93 is often looked at as one of the worst times in WCW history but honestly I don't think anything touches WCW 1990.</p><p> </p><p> I'm excited to book 1993 as there was a lot of talent in WCW and even more on the indy scene that WCW could have picked up.</p>
