Two new companies so far for the next release!

No, next release is June. I don't really think he has any star quality to be honest? Nothing about him says more than average guy to me, he's over due to insane skill, charisma and likeability rather than some kind of intangible aura

NEW RELEASE! RWC April 2024 JPG Edition RWC April 2024 GIF Edition I didn't have an awful lot of time to work on this last month so there's not as much new stuff as usual, but it should be in pretty good shape anyway. Next release will have at least 1 new company if not 2 or 3 and I'm planning on finally getting around to updating all the event schedules as well. Enjoy and as always report any issues, if there's enough or they're particularly annoying I'll release a hotfix in the next 2 days, but I'm hoping there won't be as many for this release.

I can only speak for myself but I've thought about this a fair bit and really for me it comes down to wanting everything in the mod done "right" (a lot of it is subjective, but there's also some stuff that kind of isn't) and also wanting it all to be consistent and balanced as an overarching game world. I've worked with a few people who I agree with on almost everything and even then I've had stupid disagreements that lead to arguments because once you're that deep into doing a mod and it's like your baby, there is this need to have total control over it and that's just not conductive to equal workloads unless you totally trust those people to do everything at least very close to the way you would. Ideally a mod like RWC would have a full team of people working on each area of the game world because it's nearly impossible to keep up with it all and ensure everything is up to date and accurate, but I haven't even considered it because it would be way too many cooks in the kitchen and too many people to have aligned in their thinking (not to mention logistically difficult anyway given that you have to give the data back and forth)

The issue here is exactly what I said. You don't like him so therefore he's an "outlaw mudshow wrestler" and the only reason you have to point to such a label is... you don't like him and you think he sucks. Two different things there tbh. As for whether he's in shape or not, I think history has shown that doesn't actually matter and it especially wouldn't fit his character at ALL for him to look anything like an athlete, the whole point of Kingston is he's relatable. Danielson should be doing more imo (definitely should have a title run) but it's likely him suggesting all these calls on who he puts over given that he's on his way out and it's really not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be, everything he's doing is awesome

"Wrestling match I don't like with wrestler I don't like" seems to be what it means nowadays, just one of those phrases to completely ignore

RWC March 2024 GIF Edition RWC March 2024 JPG Edition This was probably the most productive release in a while for me, loads of new workers and a new company in Zona 23 as I felt Mexico needed some love (still needs more, but I'll get to it). Next release will be next month but don't expect much new stuff in that one, it's just that everybody wants to book Wrestlemania obviously. The event schedules are still very out of date so maybe I'll get around to the torturous process of fixing that for the next release as it is bugging me now. Enjoy and as always post the issues, I've gotten used to dumb mistakes being left in and having to release a hotfix for them now

He did lose the Rumble though tbf so in this scenario it's not realistic. Not only that, he got dumped cleanly

Yeah doing this at any kind of reasonable rate of progress at the same time as RWC is kind of impossible. I will come back to this at some point, but that will probably be when I stop doing RWC.

I haven't kept track of name changes, but there's a list of additions and removals in a txt file for each release, it'll take ages to go through though.

I haven't tested this so it might not work at all, but you could always add in a fake broadcaster tied to Time Warner with unusably high requirements that is set to close in April. They'd then be left with no broadcasters, forcing them to close, which would take WCW down with it at the correct time. I don't know if setting it up that way will make it so they're able to be bought out though, they need to be in debt for a really long time for that to happen afaik. Effectively you could then sign up everybody that gets cut adrift upon their closure but you'd risk getting in a bidding war with NJPW or whoever

My personal view on it is the same as yours, but I also think our personal views on whether someone else should claim ownership of their work doesn't really matter. Like you said, it takes an ungodly amount of work to put all this stuff together and yes, it's all readily available information, but that doesn't exactly cut down the time it takes to do it. If someone who's done the work doesn't want others using their data I think they should be afforded that respect, otherwise we might as well just say it's fair game on everything because there's no functional difference at all.
