He proclaims. Instantly, boos erupt and the near 200 fans sound closer to 2000, but the Sheriff laughs this off, "now, maybe if this was 15 years ago, you'd have seen me lock horns with that moose in there," he says, pointing to Findlay before dropping the finger, "but not even the Sheriff can arrest time. Even though he's been retired for several years now, RDJ is as much as a showman as ever and takes a little bit of extra time soaking it all in. Once he takes a few moments soaking in that TWL is truly back, he makes his way to the ring, in one hand a microphone and in another an object with a velvet cloth draped over it. He enters the ring and once he's in the center of it, he begins his diatribe. "I just want to thank each and everyone of you for coming out to support us tonight," he begins, looking for a segue into his true intentions. "It's funny, the last time I was in a TWL ring was 25 years ago. I was a young kid who you guys believed in and who helped me become what I am. So much has changed since then," he continues, beginning to smirk a little, "but not everything." The fans are intrigued at this point, wondering what he's getting at when he grabs at the velvet cloth and drops it onto the ground. Underneath the cloth was a shimmering belt that had been perched in Johnson's house for the better part of two decades and a title belt that had become nationally renowned in the 1980s and 1990s as something that men were willing to kill for. The fans have started cheering at this point and they go even wilder when RDJ holds the title belt up in the air, its glowing light for all to see. For several moments the arena is at a standstill, except for the music. Who would dare have the audacity to interrupt The Sheriff in a place like this? Many of the fans are no doubt wondering. They don't have to wait long for the mystery man to appear. Standing at the top of the stage is the behemoth known currently as Big Bruiser Findlay and formerly as Findlay O'Farraday. He too as a mic in his hand and immediately begins to use it once he is on the stage. "You've talked long enough, old man. Do these people - and yourself - a favor and shut your mouth and hand that Heavyweight championship over." The crowd is maniacally booing Findlay despite him being relatively unknown in the territory but any man - world-renowned or total unknown - is getting booed when they come into The Sheriff's Home and try to order him around. RDJ leans across the top rope, eyeing Findlay. "Y'know, son, I don't know you think you are, but you got some balls, kid. I'll give you that. Now, for your business of this here title," he says, looking down at the gold, "I think we both know that you're not just gonna waltz down and take it but here's what we can do. Since I respect the nerve on you, kid, you can be in the first TWL Heavyweight championship match at our next show against a mystery opponent. How does that grab you?" Findlay looks like he is about to protest but then smugly smirks, "it doesn't really matter - in the end, you can put anyone in front of me and I will smash and destroy my way into becoming the TWL Heavyweight champion." With that, Findlay turned around and promptly walked to the back, his message clear. RDJ wasn't far behind as he gave a few parting words to the fans before he too left the ring and walked to the back. 3. Filling Out The Roster - RDJ's Thoughts On The New Signees Animal Harker - "One of the most underrated brawlers in the world today, kinda reminds me of the old days." Findlay O'Farraday known as Big Bruiser Findlay - "can bring legitimacy to the new TWL and a future star." Bobby Thomas - "a little bit of an older worker but can still go and maybe teach these youngins a thing or two about ring psychology." Bradley Blaze - "might never be a true top star but I have soft spot for true Texas boys and he's one of 'em." Cobra - "that snake gimmick is over and this is a kid who just gets it." Ernest Youngman - "only in his mid-20s but already wrestles and acts like a seasoned vet; sky's the limit for him." Giant Brody - "very few of the wrestlers today have the presence and look of Giant Brody; always a threat to be world champion." Island Boy Apollo as Apollo - "one of the most impressive young men of his generation; world champion caliber talent." James Diaz - "a spitting image of his daddy, I hope can end up being even half the talent he was." Jason Patterson - "reminds me of me when I was first starting out, definitely gives the feeling of being back in the 80s." Joffy Laine - "talented enough to be a top guy but never given the shot; always good bringing a Texas boy back to his roots." Kip Keenan - "all-around great worker who provides experience as being a top babyface." Nate DeMarcus - "big imposing guy; I think he can be a big star outside of a tag team." Quentin Queen - "a solid hand that can provide some good depth in the midcard and maybe even transition into the upper echelon of the card." Tennessee Williams - "one of the best heels going, honestly surprised he hasn't been signed to a big promotion yet." Texas Hangman - "what isn't there to love about this kid. Watching the latest episode of TCW Presents Total Wrestling, it was safe to say that the itch was back for "The Sheriff" Ricky Dale Johnson. He sipped his beer, sat back in his La-Z-Boy chair and looked at the shimmering TWL Championship that hung from the wall next to taxidermized heads of bears. 6. Using the September 1995 mod, I'm quickly approaching Wrestlemania XII. The main event is the same as the main event in real life: Michaels vs Hart, however basically everything else has been changed. At the Royal Rumble, Bret barely defeated his brother to retain his title and the next RAW, Owen, wanting more competition after believing himself to be the next WWF Champion despite losing to his brother, challenged anyone to face him. He met his challenger in the form of The Undertaker! The match wasn't really a match though as Taker was inevitably beaten down by Camp Cornette (Owen, Bulldog, and Yoko). Taker will face Owen at the final In Your House before Wrestlemania and then go on to face The British Bulldog at Mania itself. The other really major storyline that I'm running is Diesel vs Ahmed. This storyline has been brewing since September when in a six-man tag match against Camp Cornette, Ahmed took the fall for his team which led to Bulldog of Camp Cornette being named the number one contender. If this didn't raise tensions enough between Diesel and Ahmed, Diesel would go on to lose his title to Bulldog. The next RAW, Diesel brutally beat Ahmed down, cementing a heel turn. Ahmed was taken out of action for a couple of months while Diesel was suspended indefinitely. Diesel returned the first RAW of the year or those whereabouts and Ahmed returned to interrupt Diesel's first promo back. Both competed in the Rumble, eliminating each other in the process. Soon after, in the build up to their first official contest in the February In Your House, a masked man debuted seemingly to stalk Ahmed as he always was in the background of his promos. Throughout the weeks, this masked man as abducted Kama and AC Conner (D'Lo Brown) and it will be revealed at In Your House that the masked man is actually Faarooq A.K.A Ron Simmons and he will try and help Ahmed beat Diesel, which will lead to Ahmed losing due to him not wanting any outside help. A rematch between Ahmed and Diesel will be set up for Wrestlemania, instead this time it will be a Street Fight. This time around, Ahmed will side with Faarooq and after defeating Diesel with the help of Faarooq, Kama, and D'Lo, Ahmed will turn heel and form the Nation Of Domination and then most likely go on to feud with the Intercontinental Champion, Razor Ramon! In other news, I have paired Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Goldust up as Golden Royalty and the two have become the premier tag team in the WWF and have quickly risen to Upper Midcarders that aren't too far off of the Main Event cusp. I think I'm gonna have them stay together for another year and the eventual break-up story will culminate in Helmsley winning at Mania 13 and then changing his name to Triple H.
  7. <p>Over three years in my Montreal Aftermath game and storming into Wrestlemania (well, under two months to go anyway!). I split into brands just after Wrestlemania 2000 as there were just too many guys on the roster and I greedily wanted to use all of them. </p><p> </p><p> So on RAW the main feud right now, I still have No Way Out to book for Raw though, is The Undertaker turning heel on Austin after Taker blamed Austin for not being able to take the title from Steve, costing Steve his own shot at the belt at The Royal Rumble; Jericho is having a short feud with the newly acquired DDP that will finish up at No Way Out but will end with DDP losing yet still having some momentum so I can return to the feud in the future as Jericho will probably take the belt off of Triple H, who has had it for exactly a year, winning it at Wrestlemania 2000. The only other majorly important story is Foley's retirement story where he'll face the Intercontinental Champion Morgan Steele (Val Venis, although in my save he just debuted as Morgan Steele) in a Career vs Title Match that will end with Steele ending Foley's career and then probably going on to work a major feud with Steve Austin as Taker will defeat Austin and then move into a feud with Jericho so I can stall for Lesnar's debut and eventual coronation to champion by Summerslam 2001.</p><p> </p><p> Smackdown is a little more complicated as I was able to get Bret Hart and with having Owen still around, I reformed the Broken Hart Foundation with Test, Lance Storm, Ken Shamrock, Owen Hart, and Bret Hart. Owen took the World title from The Rock at Survivor Series after debuting on Smackdown after losing to Austin at Fully Loaded in a Loser Leaves Raw match. Owen retained the belt after Bret debuted to help him defeat The Rock and the next night, Owen reluctantly handed the belt to Bret (possibly sowing the seeds for a future feud between the two brothers). Over the next few months, The Broken Hart Foundation has run roughshod over the entirety of Smackdown by taking out Big Show, Kane, Eddie Guerrero, and Rey Mysterio and by taking out Rey for a while, they have set up a six man tag team match between Big Show, Kane, Eddie, Test, Storm, and Shamrock. Owen would be involved but he began a feud with Chris Benoit over the European title a little after the Royal Rumble after Benoit won it from Hardcore Holly at Armageddon and successfully defended it against Albert at the Royal Rumble. I think I'm going to go with a story where all of the Broken Hart Foundation wins, at least Bret is definitely winning to break the cycle with the good guy standing high atop the mountain as well as putting over the fact that Bret is a major player by defeating my figurehead in The Rock, except for Owen who will lose to Benoit cleanly. Then, the next night, Bret will kick his own brother out for losing and will reveal Benoit as his replacement and that will possibly shelf Owen for a couple of months - only for Owen to return just in time for Summerslam where he could run through most of the Broken Hart Foundation and then defeat Bret at Summerslam itself. From there, I'll probably retire Bret as he is on time decline and isn't getting younger. And from there, I'll probably have Owen drop the title to either The Rock, Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, or some sort of potential star and then phase Owen out as well and just keep the Hart Brothers around as road agents, commentators, or possible competitors if the occasion calls for it.</p><p> </p><p> Even though I have been playing this save for so long, it is steal easily the most enjoyable save I have done in TEW to date!</p>

  10. <p>In the Montreal Aftermath mod with WWF and heading into Wrestlemania 15 with a ton of momentum.</p><p> </p><p> Headlining the event is The Rock vs Austin with Austin winning the rumble and The Rock beating 'BROKEN' Owen Hart in my first and only 100 rated match in this save and overall in TEW2016. Austin and The Rock have been feuding on and off since around September/October when Vince formed The Corporation with The Rock at the helm. </p><p> </p><p> A little backstory on Owen: he became 'BROKEN' after the firing of Bret and went after Shawn Michaels at IYH: DX back in December 1997 with Owen being suspended indefinitely which would lead to Owen facing off against Vince McMahon at WM14 and beating him. Since then, Owen has consistenyl feuded with either a McMahon or a Corporate faction member until he won the strap at IYH: Rock Bottom in December 1998, defeating Kane, The Undertaker, And Austin a Fatal-Four-Way. He then defended the belt against The Rock but ultimately lost due to run-in interference by the debuting Big Show, leading to a program between the two for Wrestlemania where I think I'm gonna have Owen go over to completely end the feud against McMahon and then turn heel to work with Austin.</p><p> </p><p> There's some other big things going on the 'Fed right now but I don't wanna display a mountain of text (that would be really obnoxious, wouldn't it?<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) but if you have any questions regarding certain guys or storylines, feel free to ask as this mod/save as without a doubt, been my favorite one in TEW2016!</p>
  11. Okay, I have a question (I know I'm Cult so the challenged won't be completed anyway) but Mikey James and my UC just put on a 99 (I had previously gotten an A but when I looked in my Top 100, my match was first, so I went to preferences to change from letter grades to numbers just to check to see how good it was) and it is technically an A* in the number system but in the letter grade system, it's only technically an A, so I was wondering say that happened and I was at National (or higher) and I got a 96 - 99, would that still only be an A or would the challenge be 'completed'?

Did they change their booker?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> No, from the looks of it (I kept a few of their contracted guys like Erik Strong and Sean McFly), they extended a lot of written deals while they were National and in between falling into Cult and the contracts were very bloated considering that for the majority of the save they had been Cult and they had a huge roster anyway, all of which were contracted to written deals, that and with their style I doubt that they get huge sponsorship deals, they began to bleed money.</p>
  13. I am loving the RTG in TEW 2016 so far! This year, unlike TEW2013 in my opinion, there is a lot more "strategy" going into the entire scheme of things such as decisions like making Figureheads for the extra merchandise and ticket sales. It's also so fun and satisfying when something finally goes your way, like when I had to make the decision on whether or not to buy NOTBPW out (they managed to get themselves nearly $3,000,000 in debt!) which would leave me in 5 figures but allowed me to finally get TV and PPV, through Net Stream. The move ended up being successful and now I finally have an out to get of Cult and also have much more popularity in Canada than I do in the US:p. The only problem with the Figurehead that I chose, who was Bulldozer, is that even though when I was Regional and he was absolutely killing it and was basically the only main eventer I had, when I hit Cult and was able to get Sean McFly from NOTBPW and also signed Spencer Spade and Primus Allen through SWF's stupidity, he was very overshadowed and I had to remove him as he had actually started being bad for business. Overall, I had so much fun doing this in TEW2013, but I am having so much more fun doing it this time around and it is just the best building to go from being Small and creeping towards debt to becoming one of the top companies with cutthroat business tactics and the money to back those tactics up, all within several years!

The penalties are decently stiff but considering how low your popularity will be at that point, if you put on a "good" show, the show rating will drop several points and even then, not nearly enough to really worry about, at least in my experience.</p>
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="shawn michaels 82" data-cite="shawn michaels 82" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>So, Im doing a 1997 game with the Montreal Prelude mod and I want todo the screwjob to Bret, to jump start WWE's super edgy product to a new level. I've resigned Bret to a 10 year deal (so even if he hates me he won't be able to go to WCW) and my plan is to do a double turn and make DX face and the Harts heel after SSs, whith Shawn playing the innocent that knew nothing about it, and turning against McMahon (hence turning face) and Bret seeking revenge at all costs, turning heel in the process and even aligning himelf with Vince because he blames Shawn for everything. This should keep me occupied until Wrestlemania season, where eventually Steve Austin might come into the title picture.<p> </p><p> Question here is, if I do the screwjob, instead of doing a work simulating one, Bret will probably hate me, if I don't, I don't think he will want to drop the title to Shawn, since they don't like each other. Does the hate relationship ever fades away? Cause Bret will certainly hate me after this if I do a real screwjob. How do you guys think I should go about doing this? Cause I have no idea if the hate relationship ever disappears. I'm open to ideas and Suggestions.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think you should have it be a work purely for the fact that even if Bret doesn't want to lose to Shawn and you make him, he might get a Simmering Tension relationship with you but it definitely won't be as bad as him hating you and if he hates you, then his morale is probably gonna be tanked a lot more than having to drop the belt to Shawn and if you try to have him in storylines and he wrestles, you'll probably get the note that says something along the lines: "Showing true unprofessionalism, Bret Hart phoned his performance in; it was clear that he wasn't even trying" which will most definitely tank the match grade. I hope I could help you decide on what to do, cheers and hope the story pans out!</p>
  16. Going into Summer Showdown 2016 in this TCW save and right now Bach and Golden are feuding over the title and depending on their performances, possibly figurehead status despite Golden being amazing for business. Other than that, I turned Jay Chord into a Randy Orton-esque "Legend Killer" character by retiring Ricky Dale Johnson at Total Mayhem, our biggest show. Currently, Tornado stepped up to help RDJ, as he too felt that Chord was a punk and had no business continually taunting RDJ even after he had already retired him. The tag team scene is pretty crazy as I brought in American Demolition (Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Findlay O'Farraday) and the two are just having excellent matches left and right and heading into Summer Showdown, they are facing The Behemoths to see who will become the number one contenders for Wolf Hawkins And Joshua Taylor's titles, who I had form a team because 1) I needed face tag teams and they can both become faces and 2) I had their story culminate with Rhodes getting tired of their arguing over who was better and their constant oneupsmanship that he just made them form a team and in doing so, Hawkins slowly became a good guy and it ended with them becoming a very valuable part of the tag division. The final title, the International title, is currently held by Mighty Mo who hasn't really done anything of note, except for a few minor feuds where he's beaten Vessey, Speed, Eddie Peak, and is currently feuding with American Buffalo who he beat at Excessive Force. After Buffalo, I think I'll have Andrews come back and want a shot at the title because he feels slighted for not being in the TCW title picture at this point and want some sort of consolation prize, which might lead to a pretty long feud between the two Finally, one of the very few that I "stole" from another promotion was Wade Orson from 21CW who I brought in as cocky heel that thought of TCW more as a joke than a wrestling company and who also says that the company went downhill the moment Tommy Cornell left. He's been a really fun character to book so far and right now he's in Midcard Feud Boulevard as he's beaten Dazzling Dave Diamond at Excessive Force and will beat Bart Biggins at Summer Showdown. After that though, I really don't know who he could face after he's done toiling in the midcard, even though he's been a tremendous character to book.
