It won't "end" in the strictest sense. But if you don't have Regeneration and Generated Fighters enabled (as well as Picture Requirement set to Off) in the Game Options menu then eventually you'll run out of fighters no matter what database you're using. (unless you also use the Populate Fighters option)

Well funnily enough this is what brought me on the forums today. I have ended the game. My game can no longer generate fighters. All names have been used. I started a custom database in the year 2000. The game is at 2079 and I can't generate any fighter of either sex in any weight class from any region and the current crop are aging, rapidly.

So my question for you guys is, is there a way to get my database to reuse names? I've downloaded all the name mods I could find in fact I even downloaded a WMMA3 one I found and transferred it through 3 to 4 to 5 to add a couple hundred but alas, I am out.

  2. Hi guys some questions from a perspective buyer (I've played the free trial but curious on a few things...) I've played a LOT of WMMA. I've got an 80 year playthrough on going currently.

    My questions are the following:-

    1) The in-game universe, how often are new workers generated? In WMMA the game detects when a particular weight class in a particular region needs more fighters and generates them at the start of the month, I'm curious how it works in TEW I feel like the free trial doesn't cover this well.

    2) Is it possible to do a 'blind' run, where you can set a totally random results in road agent instructions (or essentially, simulate an actual fight with unpredictable results.) I know this would make it hard to build someone up, but It would be fun in a custom diary I have an idea for.

I think that covers it for now, thanks.

  3. My most dominant champ ever.. almost 4 decades into my Gamma playthrough and have my first triple champ. This wasn't just given either, my guy went through Clash of the titans, crawled to the top of MW had a few WW fights and got a shot down there and down there and won while still defending at 185, went up to 205 for a bout won in a fantastic fight so threw him a title shot.

He's 37 and starting to slow down but pretty exciting.

  4. Is there any chance that Grey Dog will release a pro football game? I know one was being worked on years ago.

BBCF is still a solid game even though it's rather old. It looks nice, the stats are believable, and the fonts used to display information in-game are readable. Since the last patch, it doesn't crash anymore, at least not for me. It would be a real treat to have a pro football game that would import draft classes from BBCF. If the NFL license is a problem, just make the game moddable so the player can rename the teams.

It would be a shame to waste whatever work was done on a football game years ago.

That would be amazing. The draft class imports. I would buy the game just to sim the my classes in and see how they develop.

  5. That is interesting, I don't think I have ever run across that scandal before. Or if it did come up I just did not read it. The racist one I have gotten countless times.

I am a little annoyed with my GAMMA save. I started a GAMMA save a few weeks ago because I have not played the game in over a year and some of the posts on here have gotten me hyped to play again. Anyway, every single one of the default champions lost their belts on their first defense. It bothers me because I tend to like long title runs but now I have six new champions and the Super Heavyweight has already changed again. This means that the division has had three champions in one year. I guess that is exciting but I find it annoying.

Oh. I know what you mean I like the champions having long runs as well or else it waters down the belt prestige. Usually if a belt is changing hands a lot I hold a tournament. That way the ending winner is on a minimum 3 fight streak with a lot of hot and 9 times out of 10 the best guy wins so it sets them up for a decent run. In my experience when it's happening a lot the game will generate a high level fighter to 'stabalise' the division.

  6. What's going on in my game, is that the fight engine handed a win to Joshua Hope that he hadn't effing earned. The game said Hope hit a jab and missed his second punch, then followed it up by saying Watson hit him with a good right hook. Then the game has Watson being laid out and ground and pounded into submission. Off a friggin JAB? I thought this wasn't supposed to be able to happen?

I've seen it happen before. Jabs can be power strikes (In game and IRL.)

    Schedule the rematch.. :p

In my game we've just had a massive passing of the guard in my Gamma 145 Female Division 18 defence GOAT Louise "the thing" David just dropped the title to former world-class kickboxer 8 fight vet Pansy "the viking" Caron by first round TKO. One of the biggest upsets i've seen in a massive title fight.. David was -1140 favourite but Caron was the clear contender murking her way through the top 5 after becoming WEFF champ in 2 fights. September 2023 and Womens MMA has evolved.

  7. It’s crazy how different the fighters potentials are on every save. Pizzarro is barely a top 15 welterweight on mine. Solid fighter of course but nowhere near the title.

Between WMMA5 and WMMA4 I've played probably around 10 saves for at least 10 years each and Pizarro has never been as dominant as he was this go around. 13 Title Defences across 10 years and fighting into his 40s he had some stacked competition in welterweight as well - he basically destroyed two generation of the worlds best WW's

Bobby Brubaker, Gus Fitzpatrick X2, Evan Gardner X2, Fukusaburu Hirano, Manuel Silva, Jakuchu Abe all got finishd by Pizarro.

as well as a bunch of regens in my game who climbed to #2 and looked the goods to beat him.

  8.
This right here is what it's all about for me.

Two undefeated champs #1 and #2 p4p in the world meet up at GAMMA 200.

Pizarro has been the 170 king for 6 years and Brian Halvorsen (Son of HOFer Dan Halvorsen) has been the champ for 4 years but has made 10 defences in that time.

They're technically fighting at a catchweight but have met in our Super-Lightweight Division which has another champ but I don't have plans on either of them moving permanently to challenge for that strap. I think Pizarro is close to retiring anyway.

This is the best main event I have ever put on and even the Blurdog staff were torn on a winner. Pretty wild stuff.

  9. Hi,

For the past 3 or so months I've been looking for a game to scratch an itch I've had, surprisingly nothing like it exists and I feel like GDS would be an ideal developer to take the project and make it something as I imagine it would run in a similar style there other games.

The idea for the game is based around the Music Industry. You would manage individual artists/groups/producers/dj's/lyricists etc and compete against other record labels to become the #1 in the world.

I have a lot of other ideas and I'm honestly surprised there's nothing close to playable out there that is like this as I feel like it's a game with mass appeal.

Anyways, I'm happy to leave more ideas If anyone from GDS is interested or if anyone knows of a game like that please let me know.

    Thanks .

  10. Very weird. Never saw that name pop up in my games, but it's definitely geared towards women. In fact, it doesn't allow men. If you didn't tamper with the database this is actually a bug, unless somehow the code overwrites the database based on the current world context, which I doubt.

Can you check "team names" in the database?

Are you sure the men training there aren't just the creators? They can obviously train there as it's their camp. :p

Wow! I just checked in the database and it definately says allows men: no.

But in the game this is 100% a camp that allows men. in Fact, there's no women in there at all.

  11. Breaking News

KDM FC Owner/CEO Raymundo Reyes announces his debut card as an owner.

Today from KDM FC HQ in Tokyo, Japan Mr. Reyes announced KDM FC 21: Forever. Mr. Reyes announced the bout order with a short description of the main card bouts.

    KDM FC 21: Forever

    Eastern Asia

    Saturday Week 2 February, 2002

    Main Card:

Veronika Sablikova [C] VS Chiyo Yanagimoto [#3] 145lbs

Our main event promises fireworks. The Beast from the east, Sablikova exemplifies warrior spirit in everything she does. She lives and breathes fighting and has dedicated her life to the martial arts. She is a wrestling phenom and her ground and pound berserker style has proven impoosible to stop so far. In steps in Chiyo Yanagimoto the first opponent Sablikova has ever gone to war with who she is shorter then, a japanese world champion kickboxer who is known for her devestating headkick. Sources say she is in great shape and will be looking to make a statement as the underdog in this bout.

Teeratep Nutnum [C] VS Chan Kim Huat [#7] 155lbs

    s

Our Co-Main event features two fan favourites. The Crazy Monkey from Thailand Nutnum will be looking to use his savage muay thai skills against the young Malaysian Submission machine Chan Kim Huat. The betting odds have the champion as the underdog but anyone who has seen his insane fighting style knows this warrior leaves nothing in the cage and will die before he quits. These two warriors will be putting on a show.

Kanji Togo [C] VS Ang Dong [#12] 135lbs

Jiu-Jitsu Vs Judo; Japan VS Thailand; Champion Vs Challenger. Champion Togo will attempt to defend his belt against the young and hungry AND undefeated challenger Ang Ding Dong who has gone through his 6 fight career without so much as a challenge, what Dong has in confidence however the champion Togo makes up for in experience with 23 fights under his belt which warrior will become a Hero, the veteran champion or the future legend challenger

    Li-Kong Ho [#2] Vs Greg Chiang [#8] 145lbs

Indonesian Submission fighter and one of KDM FC's biggest superstars Ho takes on gritty Hong Kong wrestler Greg Chiang in a potential title contender bout. Nobody on the roster except Chiang was willing to take on the Indonesian Warrior Ho who has been rated as one of the top featherweights in the world by even north american analysts. Will Chiangs confidence come back to haunt him or will his warrior spirit be to much for the highly rated Ho?

Taufik Wijaya [#3] Vs Ahmed Mohamed Farag [#6] 155lbs

Veteran Striker Wijaya takes on highly rated egyptian grappler Farag in a bout with serious title implications. These two have both been given instructions by CEO Raymundo Reyes to open the show with a bang to re-introduce KDM FC to the world. Betting odds have Farag as a strong favourite but everyone knows Wijaya brings a lot of experience to the table.

KDM FC has just signed a groundbreaking deal with Internet media service Sportstube, KDM FC will become the first MMA promotion to be aired on sportstube with a potential 6 billion viewers across the world!

We have recently decided to move our bouts to a cage to help fighter safety and also conform to world MMA standards. Our judges will continue to judge the bouts as a whole and stomps, soccer kicks and all varieties of elbows will be legal as we believe it will best showcase martial arts skills.

KDM FC is all about honour and warrior spirit, We want to show the world true martial arts and believe we can do that.

I couldn't be bothered typing out the entire roster as i'm playing it default in future AGM's I will type them out but for now we all know exactly who there is !

  13. [13/1/2002] Cebu City, Philippines.

Raymundo, Jiro and Lee Yang, a thai national who was multilingual and could speak several languages and served as KDM FC's lead announcer sat in a board room at Ice HQ which had been serving as KDM FC's HQ since the takeover.

It was 6am and Raymundo clearly hadn't slept, but he'd called a meeting with the two men he considered most important to the company.

"Good morning guys thanks for coming in so early, i've made some important decisions about the company and how I want it to run." Raymundo said.

The two workers nodded there head nervously not sure what was coming next.

"First of all, I want to offer you both lifetime contracts. I want you to be apart of this. If there's anything I learned during my time at Ice, you have to surround yourself with the right people."

"Secondly, i've been on the phone to some contacts and as of this morning we officially have a HQ. 1 Million dollars which is a massive blow to our bank balance but it will help increase stability and give us a base to work from."

"Lastly, I want to make it clear from our first show throughout that we are a company built on martial arts values. No drama or nonsense. We won't stand for that. I want us to let our product do the talking."

The three went back and forth with ideas for the rest of the day but most of the chat was about the current state of the company regarding fighters, rules and how they want this to pan out.

They agreed they wanted the fan experience at KDM FC to be top notch, so they would be focusing on making every show a great experience for the fans and not just a way to make money, they decided at least for the first year they would focus on hosting "Super Shows" and not just saturate the market as they believed it would be the best way to introduce the new KDM FC to the world.

They also wanted the fighters to be comfortable and announced in a group email to all fighters that the fight bonus' money was going from $250 to $5000 with an extra performance bonus being on the table for any fighter who showed exceptional KDM FC warrior spirit during there bout.

The rest of the changes would be announced at the AGM at the newly built KDM FC HQ in Japan.

    [8/1/2002] Tokyo, Japan.

A news reporter is standing in front of a camera in a busy room surrounded by people. The room is buzzing with energy and a stage has been setup.

"Breaking News!! Filipino Business Magnate Raymundo Reyes owner of Ice Energy Drink has today purchased Kadena De Mano Fighting Circuit for a reported Two Million US Dollars! We are reporting live from the press conference now. Mr. Reyes, the former owner Fukusabaru Ajibana as well as the company CEO Jiro Komatsu have just entered the panel for questions."

As the trio get on stage, before they are even able to take there seats they are flooded with questions. Reporters not just local to Japan but from across Asia and even North America have come to the press conference. Raymundo and Mr. Ajibana's business reputation is most definately fueling the coverage they're receving.

"Mr Reyes. No offence intended but why would you purchase an MMA company when your position in the luxury beverage market is so steady and in control, two million dollars seems like a lot of money to throw at a company that is barely known."

"That's not offensive and is a fair question. First of all, MMA is my passion. I truly believe KDM FC is a special company and amongst a sea of competitors I believe this company can truly stand out with the right minds and right strategy. As for the cost of acquiring it.. Mr. Ajibana is a stern negotiatior and he knew how badly I wanted this company and it's assets."

"Next question" Jiro Komatsu said into a microphone.

"Mr. Reyes, will you be keeping Jiro Komatsu and the rest of the staff on?"

"Another great question. Jiro will be staying within KDM FC but will be moving into commentary full time as well as serving as head of talent relations, I'll be stepping away from my position as CEO of Ice and will be putting my full attention into being CEO of KDM FC."

"We have time for one more question." Jiro said as the room erupted.

"When will you be stepping away from Ice and taking up the full time position? Will you be moving KDM FC to the Phillipines? Will you be investing your own money into the company? and lastly any major announcements you want to make?"

"Good questions to finish up on, I'm stepping away from Ice at the conclusion of this press conference, I'll remain owner but I will be completely hands off trusting my staff to continue to run the company. I won't be moving the company out of Eastern Asia and i'll be moving myself to accomodate the company however I want everyone to be fully aware KDM FC will now represent ALL of Asia. I won't be investing my money in any capacity outside of the purchase however Ice and KDM FC have renegotiated a deal with Ice paying all outstanding debt and signing a lifetime major sponsor deal worth One million and two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The only major announcement I wish to make at this time is that KDM FC will be moving from a ring to a cage. Thank you all for your time."
