  1. Please don’t do this. People set to ‘Left The Business’ can’t return at any point.
  2. It would be good if the non-wrestling time was split between participants when calculations are made (if not already). What would also be great would be if you could give a rough time stamp for eliminations (and the order). 5vs5 Elimination Tag (34 minutes) Fall 1: Unimportant Face (4 minutes) Fall 2: Recognisable Face (6 minutes) Fall 3: Recognisable Heel (7 minutes) Fall 4: Recognisable Heel (9 minutes) Fall 5: Well Known Face (16 minutes) Fall 6: Star Face (19 minutes) Fall 7: Well Known Heel (20 minutes) Fall 8: Major Star Heel (28 minutes) Fall 9: Major Star Face (34 minutes) Survivor: Major Heel No one is over-used in that match and most of the work is being done by Major Stars, so it would score pretty well but not as well as if you’d just put Major Star vs Major Heel one-on-one. There’s quite a big difference between a four-way elimination singles with all Major Stars that goes 30 minutes and all three falls happen in the final five minutes, and a four-way elimination tag with two big teams and two fodder teams where each big team eliminates a fodder team inside the opening two minutes then finishes the match against each other for the remaining 20 minutes. I wonder if the Limited Involvement note could achieve this effect or if it would just make things worse?
  3. You can edit chemistry in ongoing games now. If you go to the page that has the in-game editor, it’s a button or two below that, where the edit relationships button is. Saves you starting over if you’ve got everything else set up the way you want it.
  4. <p>Is there any way to change a worker's personality from Selfish (or anything, I suppose) to something more positive? I mean by using game mechanics not by editing them.</p><p> </p><p> I have a couple of workers I would push harder if they weren't selfish so if I can make them better people that'd be great, otherwise they'll be punished for their selfishness by wasting their career in the midcard <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  5. This was one of the reasons why I enjoyed the first few months when I was playing USPW in the demo period but I completely agree. The roster was a real challenge to restructure. I've just started playing this save again so moving on from here: I currently have five Major Stars: Nicky Champion, Rich Money, Steve Frehley, Valiant and Jack Bruce (retired, colour commentator/personality). Champion spent a while in a tag feud alongside Running Wolf against Joss Thompson & Trent Shaffer but is now going solo again. He's treading water for a month while I wrap up Money/Frehley so he can feud with Rich Money. Rich Money has just (end of April) regained the title from Steve Frehley, who was a stop-gap champion and just didn't deliver. Plus I have Champion and Valiant already in position as faces to challenge a heel champion, and Enygma, Rick Law, Brandon Smith, Julius Moor who could hold up their end of a title match. It probably means one of Champion/Valiant will topple Money at Independence Day Slam! and drop it back to him so he can run through the guys who aren't quite there yet before the other (likely Valiant) takes it for a longer run. I'm a big Rich Money fan so I'm happy to pad his number of title reigns. Bulldozer Brandon Smith has been very strong since joining Skull DeBones stable Vengeance Unleashed to the extent that I've made him the 'leader' as Skulldozer Brandon Smith. He's already 37 but then I'm happy with Valiant at 39 and Money at 45 so I think I'll give 'Skulldozer' at least one run with the big belt. He's currently National Champion and doing a superb job, and now feuding with Joss Thompson, who will likely take the belt off him to allow him to take the next step up. I have been very lucky with tag chemistry (although I think some are preset): Trask & Whitlock Grandmaster Phunk & Greg Black Jaime Quine & Jillian Jarvis Jefferson Stardust & Trent Shaffer Regular Joe & Kirk Jameson Marcus English & Maliek Chamberlain Morgan Malone & Roger Cage Stardust & Shaffer changed my plans. They are in The Business with Money, Thompson & Cartier. Thompson had been in the team with Shaffer but I discovered the Stardust chemistry in a throwaway tag match and now that is those two locked in forever. At some point I'd like Stardust to breakout but they will be a team for a while because they're very well-suited character/image-wise as well as having the chemistry. The full male tag scene is: Faces: Aussie Rules (Nicky [renamed Kyle] Gilbert & Loxley Robbins, now managed by RDJ) Law & Enygma (Rick Law & Enygma) Natural Storm (Eddie Howard & DC Rayne) Trask & Whitlock (forced to turn due to damage of the momentum bug) (occasionally) Hawkeye & Wolf (Nicky Champion & Running Wolf) Heels: American Gold (English & Chamberlain) Adams & Jameson (Regular Joe [Adams] & Kirk Jameson) Gargantuan & Prometheus Samoan Destruction Inc. (Rhino Umaga & Samoan Machine - Champions) Show Business (Stardust & Shaffer) The Pristine Dream Team (Phunk & Black) The Samoan Pit Bulls (Akima Brave & Toma) Zero Chill (Malone & Cage) I need to switch the belts to a face team because I have more heel teams to do the chasing. Probably Natural Storm because Law/Enygma and Champion/Wolf aren't real teams, Trask & Whitlock are not a team I want to focus on, and Aussie Rules probably aren't quite there yet popularity-wise but I want to build around them eventually. The Samoans haven't lost clean yet either so it could be the moment that 'makes' Aussie Rules. Pariah is still my Women's Champion but is now feuding with Alicia Strong, who will probably take the belt so she can feud with Melody, Sara Marie and Alina America (when I've belt her up). I had to flip a few of my faces because of the momentum bug so I'll need a face champion again in 6-9 months when those feuds are done. I've hit a point where bigger names are becoming available (obviously stole Valiant already) so I have locked down Shooter Sean Deeley, Randy Bumfhole, Gargantuan, Matty Faith, and Lauren Easter. I'll need to find ways to get them into the picture.
  6. It would be really useful to be able to filter the 'not currently being used' section of the Booking Analysis screen. Specifically, I would like to be able to filter between in-ring/out-of-ring workers. I think on TEW16 you could sort by card position but the new perception system doesn't separate in-ring workers from the out-of-ring workers. Being able to filter by other categories (gender, perception, alignment, etc.) would also be useful so you could filter one category but sort those workers by another one. For example, filter to Recognisable workers but then sort them by their momentum. Neither is super needed but they would be nice quality of life additions.
  7. <p>I think it might be worth having a look at the Psychology for (semi-)retired veterans. I know these things are subjective but Shawn Michaels having 80 Psychology seems a bit low, and Undertaker having 70 blew my mind a little bit. Psychology doesn't deteriorate in-game (I believe) so that would be saying those two never got beyond that (similarly Basics for HBK, which is like 55 I think).</p><p> </p><p> On the whole though, a great mod. Good work keeping it updated so frequently too.</p>
  8. You can assign them to development on the complete contract screen (but that means not using the ‘Complete all signings’ button and actually going into the contract offer screen).
  9. USPW were my first game so I was fighting the momentum bug, which has actually made it an interesting challenge. I paused at the start of Feb week 4 until the extra month was added and have now used the beta8 code to align long and short term momentum. I’ve had to sacrifice some fodder in the name of building momentum though. Atlas, Jumbo Jackson, Petr Novak, Krusher Karloff, Dusty Ducont, Mick Muscles, Jim Force all found themselves Cold - Ice Cold and not worth saving so got cut at the end of March. I’ve been hard pushing a few signings. Captain Wrestling II has churned through my undercard heels in the hopes of getting him over in the US. His Awful gimmick has made that a slow process but he’s now at 40 throughout the US. ABD is managing Akima Brave, Toma, Rhino Umaga and Samoan Machine, who have only been beaten by Rage DQ so far and are otherwise tearing through the undercard faces (except Akima who got injured in his debut so has only been in angles). Rich Money has restructured The Business after I signed Jefferson Stardust, who is his new protege (bye, Sterling!). New tag members are Joss Thompson and Trent Shaffer who are feuding with Champion & Wolf, and Tyson Baine is the new muscle. Much more robust top heel stable. Steve Frehley is the new champion, still feuding with Money, who will likely get the belt back soon despite getting a penalty for declining physical ability. I signed Skull DeBones who has his own face stable and has great chemistry managing Bulldozer Brandon Smith (now 78 pop in US), the new National Champion. Rest of the stable is Natural Storm and Pariah (new Women’s Champion). Jack Bruce is my new colour commentator and regularly hosts an interview segment to try and milk his popularity. Latest show was the debuting Valiant, who was interrupted by Bryan Vessey, who has been back for a while, turning up to scout opponents or easily put down young upstarts. First USPW feud for both. I think my reshaping of the roster is pretty much done in those first three months, set up to push on with the full release, especially as product change to Classic Sports Entertainment finished on April 1st.
  10. I meant to say yesterday so maybe this has already been updated in the latest version, but Erick Rowan has 60 overness throughout the US, I assume because he’s been imported. He only started in wrestling in ‘03 according to Wikipedia so should probably be 0 everywhere except his home region (depending on where he was working at the time).
  11. <p>For those asking for Popularity update too:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Y6ftQFU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y6ftQFU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="RnkXJsB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RnkXJsB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It would still need the scroll bar but you can see a lot more of their popularity. If you took them in order you would likely have USA, Canada, Mexico, British Isles in the left column and Japan, Europe, Oceania, India in the right column.</p><p> </p><p> I don't know how the graphics work exactly so splitting into two boxes when switching view might not be possible but trying to make the most of the space, and not sure how often the Recent Headlines box is being used but I wouldn't mind it being on the second screen with Contract Details.</p><p> </p><p> Also, I think the titles for each section (Status, Skills, Popularity, Recent Headlines, etc.) should all be centralised in their boxes for uniformity.</p>
  12. I think either option would be an improvement for ease of use. The 'Recent Headlines' bit does seem like it could house something else like in Dross's mock-up. Or extend the Popularity all the way down (and put it into two columns as I've done with stats) and show 'Recent Headlines' on the alternate option when clicking the arrows.
  13. Thanks for the comments, folks. Someone has already added it to a thread in the Suggestions forum if other people want to support it (there's another option there too): http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546566
  14. This might already be something that is part of the final tweaking so apologies if it is something that has already been taken on board but looking at the new worker profile screen, the space given to skills is still a little inefficient and not as user-friendly as it could be, in my opinion. In a similar way to the restructure of the office screen, is something like this possible: It makes better use of the space, you don't have to scroll any more, you can see all the stats at a glance, they are separated by type of stat. Personally I would really like that sort of change but don't know how feasible it is in terms of coding (if the programme only allows the list to be exported as one for that screen, obviously this wouldn't be possible).

Obviously the plan is to unite them with Zeus on the main roster eventually. Currently looking at who I have or can sign to fill out other roles (Artemis, Athena, Hera, Dionysus, Hermes, Demeter, Hestia).</p><p> </p><p> The plan isn't to have a massive NWO-style stable running for very long. I'll debut them probably in waves (Poseidon / Hades / Aphrodite / Hera / Demeter / Hestia likely to be the first & second wave in some combination) then eventually the second-gen (Apollo / Artemis / Ares / Hephaestus / Athena / Dionysus / Hermes as I see opportunities for particular stories) and see who sinks and who swims, with the ones that catch-on hanging around and the others getting sent away and repackaged.</p>
  16. <p>I don't think Heyman needs one of the set personality options (you don't need one of the 'specific personality' options). I think he can be represented by the additional traits alone.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Something like:</strong></p><p> Creative Dynamo</p><p> Passes on Knowledge</p><p> Highly Strung</p><p> Motormouth</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Possibly:</strong></p><p> Money Motivated - I don't think that was necessarily true at the time but would probably do a good job of representing his fairly savvy negotiation skills</p><p> </p><p> As for Morrison/Nitro - Needy. Generally he's fine but if things start going wrong, he blows them out of proportion to his own detriment (see: the Trish incident / anything where he felt the need to defend Melina). I wouldn't give him Free Spirit as I don't think there are stories of him being unreliable. Maybe also make him Thin-Skinned but that might be stretching it a bit too far.</p>
  17. Not to try to add more penalties to the situation but an idea that might help the OCD ‘well, if I book like this I’ll avoid all penalties’, which I get as well especially if I’m trying to book quickly to move onto a bigger show. What if there was a ‘penalty’ for having too many angles of the same length? Then you’d be forced to weigh up which ones you gave more or less time to because suddenly you’re trying to find a balance between penalties. It would stop the need to book all 6 minute angles and add more strategy. Ideally it would go alongside other ideas like being able to get round penalties through talent of your workers (similar to the repetitive booking penalty... this segment had better be ‘this’ good or it’ll get penalised). And workers who specialise in shorter or longer angles like we have attributes for people who do better in shorter/longer matches. Anything to add variety and strategy is good in my book.
  18. The new office screen is so so much better, great work on that. And fair play for taking the criticisms on the chin. The overall tone of it looks much more user friendly.
  19. <p>Really enjoying this. I started a game with maximum variance and that seems to do a great job of roughing up the stats a little (I totally understand rounding stats but for some reason it jars in my brain seeing them as I flick through workers).</p><p> </p><p> Still some that strike me as odd though, such as Shawn Michaels having 80 Psychology (and 55 Basics, but that's less important unless you want him to work 'one more match'), and I don't understand why non-wrestlers have in-ring stats all set to 30?</p><p> </p><p> Also, contracts that are set to be exclusively one role are really limiting for non-wrestlers. I like HBK might be one of them, set exclusively to Road Agent so can't be Onscreen Personality, and I think MVP is similar. A minor gripe, I've just offered anyone like that new deals, but something to consider.</p>
  20. <p>Already a fan of the changed colours for stats but if it is still WIP, perhaps that means we can make suggestions. There are still a couple of sudden changes, or colours that are hard to distinguish (the lighter green and the lightest blue, for example).</p><p> </p><p> Something like:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="UKwHlt8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/UKwHlt8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> 0-10</p><p> 11-20</p><p> 21-30</p><p> 31-40</p><p> 41-50</p><p> 51-60</p><p> 61-70</p><p> 71-80</p><p> 81-90</p><p> 91-100</p>

You’re aware that this is a reaction thread for people to post their reactions? Can you genuinely not see the value for Adam and his team to know how potential customers are feeling in regards to the game? People posting their reasons for not (or potentially not) buying the game give Adam information he can use to either make changes or not. If he reads something that gives a reason for not buying he can decide as the developer if making the suggested change is worth it to him or not. Some things will be, such as redesigning the interface. Somethings won’t be, like rewriting the product system. That’s fine either way but at least he has the information to make those choices. If no one posted the reasons for not buying the game and instead just didn’t buy the game, nothing would change and they still wouldn’t buy the game.</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, I’m glad you’re sleeping better. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  22. Are these stored anywhere or do you have to make a note at the time/remember them? I've just been looking for who offered to put over Lenny Brown and cannot find it...
  23. The status update and patch improvements so far have brought back a lot of my excitement. Particularly since the momentum bug was caught, it has made getting decent (and upwards) grades much easier. Very pleased with the 90 rated cinematic Main Event between Rocky Golden and Scythe I just ran. I hope the more major changes (to UI, etc.) that are being made are going to put me back on the release day buy bandwagon. And I hope mod makers are on that too so we get some of the excellent TEW16 mods ported over (particularly thinking of Genadi's Montreal Aftermath and Death of WCW but there were so many excellent options by the end of TEW16's life cycle). One change I am still hoping for is an easier booking screen in terms of reordering segments. I tend to book everything I know I want on a show and then add in the final few gap fillers or show-coolers, which have to be clicked into place and that can be quite tedious with a 15/20+ segment PPV. Drag and drop would be perfect but I'd settle for quicker response time from it.
  24. My new SWF game with the latest patch. I brought Vengeance back as Scythe's manager. Spectacle, Called in the Ring, Tainted Finish, Botched Interference. Should also say that I boosted all my production values, etc. to the highest level, but I did forget to set the Road Agent so it was Runaway Train rather than my best (Enforcer Roberts).
  25. I think there is an element of truth to that. I think it also makes sense to split up the rare big guys more though to get a greater sense of just how rare/special they are. If Light Heavyweight - Big Heavyweight were combined and Super Heavyweight and Giant were combined, I think you’d lose something valuable in terms of how workers are perceived (especially in the fictional universe of the C-Verse) but if you separated Lightweight and Middleweight into five categories, I don’t think you’d gain anything particularly meaningful. I could understand having one more category in that area, something like a Welterweight between Lightweight and Middleweight. Maybe: Small: 140-170 Lightweight: 170-210 Welterweight: 210-240 Middleweight: 240-260 But that’s because I’ve always thought the guys who are 260 look so much bigger than the guys who are 230 so it’s strange to see them in the same category (similarly someone who is 180 and someone who is 230). For game mechanics it actually becomes trickier because belt weights would then fall into the middle of a class. There’s also the issue of gimmick weights being reduced in the modern day so wrestlers are billed as weighing closer to their actual weight than they were 20+ years ago.
