  1. January Week 3 Rupp Arena Lexington, KY Seth Freakin Rollins opens the show. He says he needs to come out here and set the record straight about what happened two weeks ago. He did not mean to superkick John Cena. If he wanted Cena to be hurt, he would have allowed those jackals to do their dirty work. He needs to be the World Heavyweight Champion again but he wouldn’t do it that way. He doesn’t take the cheap way out like the Judg… Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio come out and act offended at what Rollins is saying. There is some back and forth until Dom grabs the mic to MASSIVE booing from the crowd. Finally hes able to talk over them and says Seth Rollins doesn’t have to worry about Royal Rumble because he’ll end that fantasy here tonight. Seth accepts and we have our main event, but don’t go anywhere. After the break we have the Survivor Series rematch for the Intercontinental Championship. The Ring General seeks to reclaim his title against Big E! COMMERCIAL BREAK Gunther is at Gorilla. He says he will reclaim his Intercontinental Championship and will make it clear to everyone that what happened at Survivor Series was a fluke, an aberration. He is the Ring General…and this…is war! GUNTHER VS BIG E © Champion and challenger go at one another in a fierce physical battle which is the epitome of big meaty men slapping meat. Suplex for suplex, punch for punch, they’re not giving one another an inch to breathe. Gunther’s conditioning begins paying off for him and Big E shows he still has some rust on him. Gunther punishes him, but Big E keeps kicking out, Gunther presses and opens himself up for a mistake. Big E ducks a clothesline and hits a belly to belly, which Gunther kicks out at two. Big E keeps it rolling, getting the Ring General on wobbly legs before scooping him up for the Big Ending, but Gunther slips out and rolls out of the ring. Big E has the crowd chanting and clapping along, feeling the energy. A frustrated Gunther collects a chair and returns to the ring. Big E is still clapping, his back to his challenger, and Gunther smashes him with the chair. RESULT: BIG E WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION Gunther is a man possessed. He stomps Big E in the head twice before the New Day run down to the ring but he overwhelms them, dropping Kofi with a heavy chop, then hitting Woods with a lariat. With all three down he collects the chair, smashing them all over the back in order. He then turns to Big E, putting the chair around his head. Gunther berates him, saying he’s going back to that wheelchair! The Ring General moves to the second rope…. Cody sprints down to the ring, ducking one of Gunther’s chops, and firing back three big rights, then a clothesline sending Gunther to the floor. The crowd is electric as Cody ensures that Gunther won’t return to the ring as the New Day regroup. Randy Orton is talking with old friend Shelton Benjamin. Shelton says they’ve been around a long time but he feels like he’s in the best shape of his life and this year will be the year he wins the Royal Rumble and main events WrestleMania. Orton says stranger things have happened and offers his hand. Shelton shakes it…..then Orton yanks him in for an RKO onto the floor. Orton pops up smiling down at Shelton. “There’s always next year.” COMMERCIAL BREAK RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ AND LIV MORGAN VS EMMA AND CHELSEA GREEN Raquel and Liv are in control from the opening bell, working over Chelsea whose selling and mannerisms have the crowd enjoying her punishment. She finally makes a tag and Emma equals things out for a moment. That’s when we’re joined at ringside. Zoey Stark comes down the aisle and Liv jumps off the apron to confront her. They’re trash talking each other and meanwhile Emma and Chelsea double team Raquel in the ring who has nobody to tag. Liv doesn’t turn around until the bell rings and when she sees they’ve lost she’s heartbroken. Zoey is already gone but she did her job. RESULT: EMMA AND CHELSEA GREEN WIN BY PINFALL Backstage, four teams are arguing about who’s the best and who should get the next shot at the World Tag Team Championship. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn walk up on it and interject. Owens asks Zayn if they’re busy in two weeks, and Sami says they have nothing going on. Owens says the four teams ought to fight next week and then the following week he and Sami will punch them in the mouth. Everyone wins. All of them agree to the plan with unsettled tension amongst them. We cut to the back where Stephanie McMahon is assuredly walking down the corridors until she finds Ronda Rousey warming up. Stephanie tells her that Ronda’s recent actions have left her no choice. She is suspended for two weeks and that means she will not be in the Royal Rumble. Ronda shoots up off the floor and gets in Stephanie’s face but the Managing Director doesn’t flinch. She tells Ronda she needs to leave the building immediately. Ronda fights every urge to do what she’s thinking and takes a step back, grabbing her bag, and walks away. When she’s gone, Stephanie lets out a breath she didn’t even know she was holding. COMMERCIAL BREAK A replay of Stephanie McMahon suspending Ronda Rousey moments ago is shown. We then cut to a live scene of Ronda storming out of the building, extremely pissed off. RICOCHET AND WES LEE VS LUDWIG KAISER AND GIOVANNI VINCI Kaiser and Vinci are no match for the impressive debut of this new team who bring nothing but non stop action and high flying energy. Ricochet and Lee overwhelm their opponents and score the win following Ricochet’s 630 Senton. RESULT: RICOCHET AND WES LEE WIN BY PINFALL Lita, her arm in a sling, is talking to Trish Stratus. When Trish asks about Lita’s arm, Lita says she was medically cleared for the Rumble and Trish gives her a hug, telling her that the other twenty-eight women are in for some…extreme Stratusfaction. COMMERCIAL BREAK PIPER NIVEN VS CANDICE LARAE Piper wins a quick and decisive victory when he avalanches Candice in the corner just as the bell rings. Candice crumples to the mat, where Piper hits a running splash for the win. RESULT: PIPER NIVENS WINS BY PINFALL We go to a vignette promising the debut of Lyra Valkyria in two weeks on RAW. In it, Valkyria says she grew idolizing all of the great women in the WWE but she’s here now and all the little girls around the world will be idolizing her instead. We go to a series of live promos backstage from Shinsuke Nakamura, Sonya DeVille, Damian Priest, and Nikki Cross saying why each of them are going to win the Royal Rumble. COMMERCIAL BREAK DOMINIK MYSTERIO VS SETH ROLLINS Dominik is very talented especially for his age but Rollins is on fire to begin the match. He wears Dom out from one corner to the other but Dom takes over when Rollins gets a little too confidant and risks a knee drop off the second rope. Dom presses his advantage, focusing on the leg to the point Rollins is having a hard time putting pressure on it. One legged, Rollins fights back, hitting a lackluster Pedigree for a two count. Rollins goes for a vertical suplex but his leg falters and Dom slips out and hits a standing neckbreaker. He covers but Seth kicks out. Dom goes to the top, shimmying like Uncle Eddie but when he flies off, Rollins puts the knees up and rolls Dom into a small package for the win. RESULT: SETH ROLLINS WINS BY PINFALL Balor and Priest hit the ring and the Judgment Day is all over Rollins who hurt himself by bringing up his knees.. Priest picks him up as Balor and Mysterio get in some free cheap shots before Priest delivers a Razor’s Edge. All hope looks lost when the crowd begins to pop. World Heavyweight Champion John Cena runs down the aisle but he stops at ringside. Judgment Day are waiting for him but Cena looks from them to Rollins and back, before shaking his head and walking back the way he came. Judgment Day can’t believe their luck and turn back to Rollins to attack him more. As the show ends the announcers question if John Cena is still the hero he says he is and if there will be anything left of Seth Rollins in two weeks at the Royal Rumble. Good night from Lexington!
  2. GUNTHER's Rematch is Finally Here For a year and a half, GUNTHER dominated WWE as Intercontinental Champion. One by one, day by day and week by week, men stepped up to try to dethrone The Ring General. One by one, each men were brutalized, chopped and defeated en route to the greatest Intercontinental Championship reign of all time...until Big E returned. The scene was Chicago Illinois, the month was November 2023 and the event was Survivor Series. On this night, GUNTHER would hold an open challenge in full anticipation of his historic run continuing. What transpired instead was a moment that few who watched would ever forget. Big E returned to WWE and answered the call of The Champ. And the greatest Intercontinental Championship reign came to it's end. Now, it is time for the rematch: Intercontinental Champion Big E will step into the ring with the former challenger in an epic match for the Intercontinental Championship. Will The Ring General reign supreme once again? Or will the comeback story of Big E lead to an unforgettable reign of it's own. The Intercontinental Championship rematch is this Monday on Raw. Be there to witness history. Don't miss Raw LIVE this Monday on USA!
  3. A video recap of last week is shown, focusing on the interactions of Stephanie McMahon and Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley, and finally Seth Freakin Rollins superkicking John Cena. January Week 2 Paycom Center Oklahoma City, OK The Women’s World Champion comes down to the ring. She says that Rhea Ripley keeps saying this is what she wanted. She wanted Becky to be the champion walking into the Royal Rumble. Well, they say be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. Rhea is one of the best in the business, she takes nothing from her. But Becky is THE best and she knows it because of this title she has on her shoulder. Rhea seems to forget what happened the last time they went one on one at Payback. That’s where Becky showed she was better and history will repeat itself at the Royal Rumble in a few weeks and then what will Rhea’s excuse be? Is she going to cry to Stephanie McMahon for another shot? Or will she finally come to the realization that she may be Mami, but I am the Man and when I come around to St. Petersburg, this title ain’t going anywhere! COMMERCIAL BREAK KATANA CHANCE AND KAYDEN CARTER VS RONDA ROUSEY AND SHAYNA BASZLER Chance and Carter are one of the smoothest tag teams in the women’s division but they can’t match the ferocity of Rousey and Baszler. Ronda and Shayna pick them apart, but Rousey goes above and beyond, nearly being disqualified several times. She finally locks in her arm bar on Carter and gets the win. RESULT: RONDA ROUSEY AND SHAYNA BASZLER WIN BY SUBMISSION The bell is ringing, but Ronda won’t release the hold. Carter is screaming and Chance is trying to pry Ronda off. Shayna is watching, seemingly even surprised at Ronda. Shayna joins in and eventually they get Carter free. Ronda pops up and gives Shayna a confused look as to why she helped them before leaving the ring, and Shayna trails her to the back. Byron Saxton is standing by with the Miz and Bronson Reed. The Miz takes over the interview saying that Cody Rhodes is either a glutton for suffering or the dumbest man alive. He asked for Bronson Reed to end his career tonight. But don’t worry, Cody’s story will still be finished. You can read it in tomorrow’s obituaries! COMMERCIAL BREAK RICOCHET VS LUDWIG KAISER W/GIOVANNI VINCI Ricochet takes a beating early, but he rebounds, literally and figuratively, and begins finding his groove as he ramps up the speed and energy. Vinci gets on the apron and gets knocked off into the announcer’s table. Kaiser tries to take advantage but Ricochet matrixes a roundhouse punch and hits a codebreaker. He goes to the top and hits an astounding 630 Senton for the win. RESULT: RICOCHET WINS BY PINFALL Kaiser and Vinci jump Ricochet after the match and are putting the boots to him when… Wes Lee comes sprinting down the aisle. He slides in and immediately makes an impact, drop kicking Vinci over the top, then ducking a clothesline from Kaiser, before hitting a jumping spinning forearm which sends him to the outside. Lee helps Ricochet up as the former Imperium members lick their wounds up the aisle. COMMERCIAL BREAK ALPHA ACADEMY VS THE VIKING RAIDERS Otis and Ivar have a very interesting power struggle to begin the match and Gable provides an incredible german suplex, however the power and ruthlessness of the Viking Raiders ends up taking over and they deliver a double powerslam to Gable for the win. RESULT: THE VIKING RAIDERS WIN BY PINFALL Drew Gulak is backstage, about to sign the paperwork to enter the Royal Rumble. Orton walks past and asks what it is, and when Gulak tells him, Orton attacks. He slams Gulak’s head off the table and then beats him down, before ripping up the papers. He walks away, quipping that Drew’s been eliminated. COMMERCIAL BREAK The New Day celebrate down to the ring. Big E says there is a feeling that is flowing through the New Day, through the crowd, through the home audience, and through the WWE Universe because the darkness which shrouded the Intercontinental Championship has dispersed. Now is the era of positivity! Woods and Kofi discuss how they are still in shock of the miracle before them and they’ve said it before but they want to say it in front of this sold out crowd, how thankful and proud they are of Big E. There is a moment of genuine love between these friends as they group hug until we hear a stern voice coming from the back. Gunther walks out with a mic but he stays at ringside. He says what he’s witnessing makes him sick to his stomach. A once proud title being held by a man who doesn’t belong in the ring and certainly doesn’t deserve to be called the Intercontinental Champion. He got lucky. So lucky that he ought to go spend all his money like the rest of these worthless people in Oklahoma on a powerball ticket. But make no mistake, that title belongs to the Ring General and it is time for him to get his rematch. Big E says any place, any time, which suits Gunther, who challenges him for next week here on Raw. Big E accepts quickly and the segment ends with a staredown. We go to Liv Morgan in her dressing room. She says for weeks she’s felt like a loser. Especially when it comes to Zoey Stark. But you’re only a loser if you give up. She doesn’t know when or where but she’ll get her pride back against Zoey. But until then, there’s a little thing called the Royal Rumble coming up and Liv will not only be in it, she’ll win it. “Watch me.” COMMERCIAL BREAK RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ VS EMMA Emma does her best to put the larger and more powerful woman down quickly but the longer the match goes, the more Raquel’s strength comes into play and she ends it with a big Tejana Bomb. RESULT: RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ WINS BY PINFALL Corey Graves welcomes Maria for an interview at the opening of the aisle. He asks her if she’s settled on a new client. She says she has with a big smile. She says after long last she has found her man, but before Graves can ask who she says he will find out like everyone else….at the Royal Rumble. She plants a kiss on his cheek and goes to the back. COMMERCIAL BREAK BRONSON REED W/THE MIZ VS CODY RHODES Reed attempts to attack Rhodes before the bell but Cody was ready for it and the American Nightmare starts off hot, peppering the big man with everything he can throw at him but Reed absorbs it and then grabs Cody, launching him across the ring. Reed goes on the attack, pounding Rhodes from corner to corner but every time he goes for a pin Cody kicks out. The Miz takes some cheap shots when the referee isn’t looking and Reed hits a running elbow which gets a two and a half count. Miz shouts encouragement, telling his protege it’s time for the tsunami. Reed climbs to the top but Rhodes gets up and stops him cold. Cody climbs up to meet him and delivers a ring shaking superplex. He covers Reed but it’s only for a two count. Cody gets up, feeding off the crowd and as Reed begins to stand, Cody hooks him and delivers CrossRhodes. He hooks the leg and gets the win. RESULT: CODY RHODES WINS BY PINFALL Cody climbs the ropes, celebrating his win but after a moment we cut to the back where a camera man is running through the hallways and he stops when he comes across the reason. Seth Freakin Rollins and John Cena are nose to nose with a host of officials trying to separate them. Cena asks if Rollins wants to take another cheap shot while Seth says it was all an accident. Cena says we’ll see about that at the Rumble! They’re separated with both men continuing to lob verbal jabs as the show ends. Good Night from Oklahoma City!

Following a back and forth match where both champion and challenger nearly won the contest, in the end it was Becky Lynch forcing Lita to tap out to the Dis-Arm-Her. As a result, the Women's World Championship match for the Royal Rumble would be set: "Mami" Rhea Ripley will challenge The Man Becky Lynch in a Wrestlemania headlining worthy Women's World Championship Match. 5. January Week 1 Delta Center Salt Lake City, UT Raw Managing Director Stephanie McMahon comes out to the ring. She welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw and to Day 1 and says Happy New Year! She sells the crowd on all the big matches they’ll see tonight. Before she can end her promo….. Ronda Rousey comes out and asks Stephanie if her new contract is ready. She’s called all week, she’s texted, she even went on X among the trolls and sent a DM but she hasn’t heard back so here she is, ready to sign. Stephanie is not amused and leans in, privately telling Ronda that this is not the time, but the mic picks it up. Stephanie begins to turn and Ronda grabs her by the arm, saying that she’s waited long enough. Stephanie yanks her arm away and asks Ronda who the hell she thinks she is. Ronda smirks and says ‘your biggest star’ before leaving the ring, shoulder blocking Steph out of the way on the way to the ropes. As we go to commercial, Stephanie is steaming. COMMERCIAL BREAK A replay of the opening of the show is shown following the commercial break. THE NEW DAY VS KEVIN OWENS AND SAMI ZAYN © The match begins with back and forth action with both teams getting to control equal amounts of time. The Champs slowly begin taking control, using legal double teams and Woods is getting worn out. Kofi gets the crowd to feed in with their energy and Woods makes the hot tag. Kofi flies around and turns the match around, getting a series of two counts on Owens. Woods gets back in and the New Day begins building momentum. Now it’s Zayn appealing to the fans and they answer his call as well. Owens fights off both members of the New Day, crotching Woods on the top rope facing away and Woods falls back hanging upside down. Owens hits a running cannonball and tags in Zayn. Sami softens up Woods a little more before hitting the Heluva Kick for the victory. RESULT: KEVIN OWENS AND SAMI ZAYN RETAIN THE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL Drew McIntyre and Rex Steiner are backstage talking about winning the Royal Rumble. Their friendly banter takes a serious turn when the subject comes up about what happens when it comes down to the both of them. The tension is palpable. COMMERCIAL BREAK NO DISQUALIFICATION DAMIAN PRIEST VS SHINSUKE NAKAMURA Nakamura goes on a strong style tear off the bat, kicking the hell out of Priest and striking him repeatedly. Priest goes to the outside to recoup and Nakamura slingshots himself over the ropes but Priest catches him and rams him spine-first into the post. Now it’s Priest’s turn to dish out punishment and he takes advantage of the no DQ rule, hitting Nakamura with the steel stairs. He rolls Shinsuke back in the ring and continues the attack. This goes according to plan until Nakamura digs deep and challenges Priest to ‘come on!’ Priest angrily charges him but Nakamura lays a kick to the midsection stopping him in his tracks followed by a standing enziguri. Priest drops to a knee and Nakamura sizes him up for a Kinshasa. Dominik Mysterio runs down and gets on the apron, distracting Nakamura and giving Priest time to recover. When Shinsuke turns and goes for his finisher, Priest pops up, grabs him by the throat and chokeslams him. Wasting little time, Priest lifts Nakamura up and hits the Razor’s Edge for the win. RESULT: DAMIAN PRIEST WINS BY PINFALL Priest and Dominik head back up the aisle very pleased with themselves. The Judgment Day have started 1-0. Graves questions if Balor will make it a clean sweep. Carlito is warming up at Gorilla when Maria Kanellis walks past. He stops her and says that he’s about to have the most important match of his career, but he wants to make something right. She looks suspicious but he offers his hand. He says a long time ago he wasn’t very…cool…to her and he’s sorry about that. She seems taken aback but shakes his hand. Maria says that really means a lot to her and she wishes him good luck. He seems relieved to have gotten this off his chest and heads through the curtain. It’s Carlito and Big E for the Intercontinental Championship…next! COMMERCIAL BREAK CARLITO VS BIG E © The challenger begins the match hot, backing Big E into the corner with chops and punches. He climbs up to deliver the old fashioned 10 punches but Big E cuts it off at three and runs him across the ring, crushing him in the corner. Big E shows off his power by putting his veteran challenger through several suplexes and backbreakers but Carlito kicks out of several pin attempts. Big E runs into a boot in the corner and when he staggers away, Carlito hits the Backstabber. 1 2 Kickout! Big E builds a comeback as Carlito frantically tries to hit another finisher, but the champion keeps his back away from Carlito. When the moment arrives, Big E scoops up his challenger and hits the Big Ending for a hard fought title defense. RESULT: BIG E RETAINS THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL Cody Rhodes is backstage, and turns to address the camera. He says that the Miz and Bronson Reed did their absolute best to end his story, hell, they almost ended his career. But he’s here, he’s breathing, and he damn sure isn’t done with either of them. But never let it be said that Cody isn’t generous. He’s so generous, he’s going to give Bronson Reed another bite at the apple. Next week, here on Raw, it’ll be the two of them in the ring. See you then, big man. COMMERCIAL BREAK. As we return from commercial, Rhea Ripley has joined the announcers at ringside, and will be part of the commentary for the Women’s World Championship match. The Announcers remind us that Rhea Ripley will meet the Women’s World Champion at the Royal Rumble. LITA VS BECKY LYNCH © The match begins with a handshake, which Rhea trashes on commentary. The early going is an even match as both feel each other out. Becky does not seem as aggressive as she normally is, a point Mami brings up several times. That begins to change when Becky turns to argue with Rhea and Lita nearly scores a win with a school boy. Becky buckles down and begins to take over, hitting a fall away slam and Lita rolls out of the ring near the announcers.Becky follows Lita to the outside and they brawl a little as Rhea continues to taunt Becky about not being able to get the job done. It clearly gets to Becky and the more Rhea talks, the more brutal Becky gets. She rams Lita shoulder-first into the stairs. She then takes Lita’s arm and wraps it around the post in a hammerlock. Becky isn’t showing any friendly nature now. She rolls Lita back into the ring and the Hall of Famer is begging off, holding her arm but Becky is in the zone and continues her attacks. She lays Lita out with a Manhandle Slam and is looking at Rhea when she suddenly breaks off the pin at the count of two and quickly locks in the DisarmHer which causes Lita to quickly tap. RESULT: BECKY LYNCH RETAINS THE WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BY SUBMISSION Becky holds up her title as Rhea walks up the stairs and enters the ring. The two of them go face to face with Becky giving her Royal Rumble challenger a focused stare and Mami just smirking, but her eyes are burning a hole through the champ. Maria smiles at the flirting and says some things never change... Cena looks confused and Maria says "the champ is still here and still lookin good". She then kisses him on the cheek and says good luck before walking away. Has Maria set her sights on John Cena? COMMERCIAL BREAK FINN BALOR VS JOHN CENA © There is a modicum of respect between these two as they circle each other before locking up. Cena’s strength is the story early on, but Balor has the speed advantage and it isn’t long before he uses that to put Cena on the defense. Balor presses his advantage focusing on Cena’s back and also hitting some cheap shots to the throat. But every time there is a pinfall, Cena kicks out. Balor is getting frustrated and goes to the top for a cross body but Cena catches him and rolls backwards, popping up and hoisting Balor onto his shoulder delivering an Attitude Adjustment. He goes for the cover. 1 2 Balor’s leg is on the rope! Cena is disappointed and when he goes to pick Balor up, he’s suckered into a small package for a very close two count. They continue to battle and it’s even until Balor blatantly pokes Cena in the eye and drops him with a slingblade. Balor goes to the top but Cena gets up and Balor jumps over him. When Balor turns on a dime and charges Cena, he’s scooped up and planted in the middle of the ring with another AA. There’s no rope to save him this time. RESULT: JOHN CENA RETAINS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL The Judgment Day are beating the hell out of Cena without hesitation. This goes on several minutes until….. Seth Rollins cost him that title and he’s never gotten a rematch. Cena asks are you challenging me or are you just here to bitch and moan? Balor says he wants his rematch…next week at Day 1. Cena says he’ll see him in the ring. The scene ends with a silent staredown. JD MCDONAGH VS BRONSON REED McDonagh has been undefeated since his debut on Raw, but that comes to a crushing end. COMMERCIAL BREAK ZOEY STARK VS LIV MORGAN Liv shows resilience in this, as she did in their last match. The crowd is definitely behind her but when Zoey catches her with a knee under the chin the match flips and her own mean streak takes over. She hits Z-360 but Liv gets her foot on the rope. Liv is trying to get up, which only infuriates Stark more and she hits her finisher again, dragging Liv to the middle and getting the win. Stephanie tells Ronda she’ll have to think about it and walks away while Ronda stares daggers at her back. COMMERCIAL BREAK OTIS VS DAMIAN PRIEST Otis shows off his power early, both angering and frustrating Priest. Otis overplays his hand though, going to the second rope but missing a huge elbow drop. Priest escapes it in time, and with Otis now prone, he picks the big man apart. Priest goes for a pin but Otis powers out. Priest seems to realize he’s not getting him up for a Razor’s Edge, so instead he climbs to the top and perches until Otis gets himself up. Priest jumps off and hits a big clothesline similar to Kane, which Graves refers to as the Bullseye. That’s enough to put Otis down for three. RESULT: DAMIAN PRIEST WINS BY PINFALL Priest can’t even get his arm raised before Shinsuke Nakamura appears on the tron. Nakamura cuts a winding promo with Japanese subtitles as Priest watches on but behind him he doesn’t see the real Nakamura enter the ring. Priest feels eyes on his back and when he turns, Shinsuke kicks him in the temple, dropping him to a knee. A moment later Priest is flat on his back thanks to a Kinshasa. Nakamura smiles down at Priest as the commercial break begins. COMMERCIAL BREAK When the show returns, Damian Priest is rampaging through the back hallways until he finds Stephanie McMahon. He demands a match with Nakamura next week at Day 1 and he wants it to be no disqualification. She agrees to grant the match but she says it needs to be one on one, so no Judgment Day. He agrees and storms off. Kevin Owens and Zami Zayn are hanging out backstage with the New Day. Kofi finally breaks up the good time, asking when he and Woods are going to get a shot at those titles. Owens looks annoyed but Zayn calms him and tells their friends if they want a shot, how about we start off 2024 with a bang? They all agree, even Owens, and the match is made. DREW MCINTYRE AND REX STEINER VS THE VIKINGS RAIDERS W/VALHALLA A brutal tag match which is very physical. The action in the ring is just as bad as the fighting on the outside. McIntyre gets double teamed for several minutes until Steiner makes the tag and takes over. With the momentum flipped, Steiner and McIntyre operate smoothly and the Vikings are on the short end of the stick. McIntyre blindly tags himself in, with a look of surprise from Steiner, and ends the match hitting the Claymore on Erik. Lita, Piper Niven, Shayna Baszler, and Trish Stratus fight it out to determine who faces Becky Lynch next week. One of these four women has a date with destiny, who will it be? We’re all about to find out, the final main event of 2023 is…next. COMMERCIAL BREAK LITA VS PIPER NIVEN VS SHAYNA BASZLER VS TRISH STRATUS It’s a free for all to begin with as all four women pair up but there is still a bond with Lita and Trish and they work as a team, until Trish tries to get a schoolgirl rollup on Lita with a two count. Lita looks surprised but Trish tells her she’d have done it too. That marks the end of the teamwork. Shaya and Piper have no loyalty either and soon friend and foe are all battling in and out of the ring. Piper begins taking over with her size and strength and hits an avalanche in the corner on Trish. With Lita and Shayan fighting outside, Piper goes for the pin, but Trish kicks out at the very last millisecond. Now Piper’s mad and she goes to the top. Trish disrupts the plan and then hits an amazing and ring shaking superplex. But before she can go for the pin, Lita is back in the room after running Shayna into the post and grabs Trish, throwing her out of the ring and making the cover on Niven for the three count. RESULT: LITA WINS BY PINFALL AND WILL FACE BECKY LYNCH NEXT WEEK AT DAY 1 FOR THE WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP We go backstage, where Becky Lynch is watching Lita’s celebration on a monitor. Rhea Ripley walks up behind her and questions if Becky has it in her to do what’s needed to be done next week and put her friend and mentor down, so they can have their match at Royal Rumble. Rhea smiles and leaves Becky, who looks angry….and conflicted. Next week on Raw, will we kick off the new year with a new Women’s World Champion? It’s Lita versus The Man Becky Lynch at Day 1. What a way to kick off the new year!!! Good Night from Portland!
  9. Women Rule the Final Raw of 2023!!! 2023 is coming to an end and a new year is set to begin. Next week on Raw, we kick off 2024 with a bang on a special Day One edition of Monday Night Raw and on that night the Women's World Title will be on the line! Who will The Man Becky Lynch defend her championship at Day One against? That is what we still need to find out as the women's division takes Monday Night Raw's final 2023 bow in the main event. Will Piper Niven shock the world and prove that shes a real threat on Raw? Will Shayna Baszler return to her NXT form and be on her way to becoming champion once more? Will Lita live for the moment for perhaps the final time in a truly storied career? Or will the "greatest Diva of them all", the mother of the women's resurrengce of the last two decades, Trish Stratus have one more shot to own the World? One of these four women will face their destiny next week against Becky Lynch. But they all will own the spotlight this week on Raw as we say goodbye to 2023! Be there as 2023 closes and a #1 contender is crowned! Don't miss Raw LIVE this Monday on USA!
  10. Smackdown Managing Director Adam Pearce and the Usos are here! They exit their car and head towards the arena doors but come to a sudden stop. Stephanie McMahon and a host of police stand in their way. She tells Pearce that he seems to be lost. He demands that the Usos get the Unified Tag Team Championship match they earned but she just shrugs with a smirk and says she can’t help him, the champs are exclusive to Raw. Before Steph goes inside, she tells the officers if they try to get in, to arrest them. When she leaves, Pearce and the Usos think about it, but end up getting in their car and leaving, furious at not being able to enter. DECEMBER WEEK 3 PECHANGE ARENA SAN DIEGO, CA The Judgment Day come to the ring and they all have the same gripe. People around here seem to forget who runs Monday Night Raw. People seem to forget who is the most dominant faction in the WWE. People forget at their own peril. Tonight they will make a statement and remind everyone how dangerous Judgment Day is. Priest steps up and says if he has the guts, there is one guy in the back who he wants to fight tonight. And that guy is Seth Freakin Rollins. Priest is sick of the costumes, of the attitude, and most of all that God awful song. Tonight he shuts Rollins up for good! COMMERCIAL BREAK CANDICE LARAE VS RONDA ROUSEY Ronda looks to be in a very poor mood and she takes it out on Candace, peppering her with punches, before she quickly slings her with a judo throw, and hooks in her arm bar which gets a quick submission. RESULT: RONDA ROUSEY WINS BY SUBMISSION Ronda refuses to release the hold as the bell rings. The referee can’t get her to let Candace go. Finally, Raw Managing Director Stephanie McMahon runs down to the ring and forcibly forces her to break the hold. Ronda just grins at McMahon and leaves the ring. Stephanie checks on Candace while keeping her eyes on Rousey. A video replay of Bronson Reed’s brutal attack on Cody Rhodes is shown. Vic Joseph says that Cody was taken to a local hospital after the show and they found he suffered bruised ribs, but thankfully not broken. We immediately go to the Miz in his locker room. He’s all smiles. He says that he did Cody a favor last week because he helped him finish the story. Sure, it wasn’t the ending Cody wanted but it’s an ending nonetheless. Bronson Reed almost put him through the mat. He tells Cody to be smart and to stay home for good. His wife and daughter need him. COMMERCIAL BREAK CHAD GABLE VS RANDY ORTON Gable is a fantastic athlete and his technical skills are some of the best in WWE but that doesn’t help when you’re up against the brutality and sadistic tendencies of the Viper. Orton controls throughout the match, toying with Gable before he ends it with an RKO. RESULT: RANDY ORTON WINS BY PINFALL We catch sight of Maria Kanellis and Rex Steiner talking backstage. We can’t hear what is being said, but Maria is clearly flirting and Steiner isn’t exactly rejecting it. Maria is continuing her search for the man to satisfy all her needs, is the nephew of Big Poppa Pump that man?!? Priest is warming up for his match tonight as Balor, Mysterio, and Mami psyche him up. COMMERCIAL BREAK LITA AND TRISH STRATUS VS PIPER NIVEN AND SHAYNA BASZLER Heels control the match until Lita gets the hot tag. She makes a comeback for her side until Piper crushes her in the corner and the heels take over again. When Lita has a chance to tag out, Shayna runs across the ring and takes Trish out. Piper keeps up the attacks until she misses her avalanche in the corner. Lita finally tags out, and Trish is a blur around Piper, finally knocking her down with a dropkick off the second rope. Shayna breaks up the pin and now it’s a four woman brawl. Shayna goes for a kick to Trish but hits Piper, knocking her down. Lita tags herself up and hits her moonsault for the win. RESULT: LITA AND TRISH STRATUS WIN BY PINFALL Lita and Trish Stratus celebrate their win but both are well aware that next week they’ll be opponents. There is a slight tension between them. The fatal fourway is next week, who will get a shot at the Women’s World Title at Day One? Byron Saxton is standing by the Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Saxton asks him why he fired Imperium after all they did for him but Gunther cuts him off and says that first, HE is Imperium. Second, in answer to his question, they are no longer needed. They were fortunate to be allowed to be with Gunther for as long as they were, but they never elevated themselves. They never improved. Gunther is not into charity chases, so he cut his losses. The fact is, he should have known better because no one is capable of living up to Gunther’s standards…except himself. And Gunther has an announcement to make…. the Ring General is officially declaring for the Royal Rumble! COMMERCIAL BREAK INDUS SHEER W/JINDER MAHAL VS DIY Indus Sheer’s power helps them control the match but it fades as DIY make their comeback. Mahal gets on the apron and eats a double superkick, and a few moments later, Veer falls victim to Meeting in the Middle. RESULT: DIY WINS BY PINFALL Seth Freakin Rolins is walking backstage. He takes on the Judgment Day’s Archer of Infamy….next! COMMERCIAL BREAK DAMIAN PRIEST VS SETH FREAKIN ROLLINS Priest comes out without Judgment Day and shows he doesn’t need them as he controls the match early on, targeting Rollins’ back with powerful attacks. Seth makes a comeback, going to the top and hitting a cross body on Priest that gets a two count. At this point Priest gets some moral support. Rollins is distracted several times and as one member on the outside engages the referee, someone else is able to take a cheap shot. But Seth digs keep, attacking all three men going from one to the other. He puts Priest down with a big Falcon Arrow but there is a kickout at 2. Seth is feeling it and waits for Priest to get in position for a curbstomp when Rhea climbs in the ring, and hits a blatant low blow from behind causing the end of the match. RESULT: SETH FREAKIN ROLLINS WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION All four members of Judgment Day are in the ring and beating the hell out of Seth, even Rhea is taking shots at him. The crowd is booing heavily, but then pops big time. The Champ is here! Cena runs down and slides in, taking on Balor, then Priest, then Dom, but when he comes to Rhea he pulls his punch. She dares him to hit her and this distraction is enough to allow him to get swamped. Judgment Day is back on top as they raise their arms over the fallen Rollins and Cena as the show goes off the air. The Judgment Day kicked off Monday Night Raw asserting their dominance. And they end the night having proven their point. What will happen next week now that The Judgment Day has proven that they still own Raw? Good Night from San Diego!
  11. Raw's Judgment Day Has Arrived? Ever since their inception, The Judgment Day has ran roughsod over Monday Night Raw, but lately things have been on a downturn. After capturing the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, Finn Balor lost it to John Cena just a few months later. And while Mami had spent over a year as the Women's World Champion, she lost it to Becky Lynch and has been trying to get back to form ever since. The Judgment Day does not like that the group that claimed, not that long ago in fact, to run Monday Night Raw has been seen recently as having been devalued. And they're promising to remind everyone on Raw just how powerful and deadly this family can be. WWE.com has learned that The Judgment Day will kick off Raw from Dom Dom's hometown of San Diego. What does The Judgment Day have in store for Raw? Find out, Monday. Don't miss Raw LIVE this Monday on USA!
  12. A video is shown recapping last week, especially the interactions between John Cena, Seth Rollins, and the Judgment Day. DECEMBER WEEK 2 WELLS FARGO ARENA DES MOINES, IA THE NEW DAY VS IMPERIUM The show begins with the match already in progress. The New Day is having a rough time, with Xavier trapped in the Imperium corner. Gunther watches his men revolve in the ring, punishing their opponent. Woods fight back and makes the tag to Big E who flips the match on it’s head, using his power to demolish Kaiser and Vinci. Kaiser gets a moment’s respite and goes to Gunther but at the last minute Gunther drops off the apron and storms to the back. Kaiser and Vinci don’t understand what’s happening but that doesn’t stop the New Day from taking advantage of this new handicap match and after a few minutes, it ends with Trouble in Paradise from Kofi to Vinci. RESULT: THE NEW DAY WIN BY PINFALL COMMERCIAL BREAK After the break, Gunther is backstage when Kaiser and Vinci rush up to him, demanding to know why he left them. Gunther smugly tells them that he had to leave because if he stayed he would have thrown up! He has done all he can to elevate both of them but sometimes you must admit when even the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time cannot polish garbage. He tells them they are not useful, and have not been useful in some time. The Ring General no longer has the time or the inclination to carry two charity cases on his back. Therefore they are fired. Kaiser looks like he wants to fight but Vinci pulls him away allowing Gunther to smirk. Seth Rollins is in his locker room and makes sure to say hello to the folks of Des Moines. He talks about how he wants the World Heavyweight Championship back and although he offered a challenge last week, he didn’t get an answer thanks to the jerks in the Judgment Day so he’s putting it out there. John Cena, do you accept the challenge? Rollins says he can’t wait for the answer. JD MCDONAGH VS RICOCHET Ricochet shines as he always does with incredible athleticism and McDonagh keeps up, eventually grounding his opponent and grinding him down. Ricochet makes a small comeback which is stopped with a spinning back elbow. Ricochet is stunned, allowing JD to hit the Devil Inside for the win. RESULT: JD MCDONAGH WINS BY PINFALL Byron Saxton is standing by with World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. He asks him about Seth Rollins’ renewed challenge and Cena says it will be his honor to defend the title against Seth at the Royal Rumble, but that said, it’s not going to be the ending Rollins wants because this ride isn’t coming to an end anytime soon! COMMERCIAL BREAK Becky Lynch is backstage when Rhea Ripley walks up. She says that she wants to wish Becky good luck at Day 1. Because if there is anyone she wants to beat for that title at the Royal Rumble, it’s her. Rhea smirks and walks off, while Becky is steaming. SHAYNA BASZLER VS NATALYA Two submission machines tangle in this one and they both aim to attack each other’s weak points to set up their own finishers. While Natalya is more technical, Baszler is brutal and without remorse. Baszler’s attacks are more effective in the long run and she plays the long game, waiting for Natalya to be in position for the Kirifuda Clutch which gets the win. RESULT: SHAYNA BASZLER WINS BY SUBMISSION Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is on her way to the ring. Ronda Rousey stops her and asks if the big announcement is adding her to the Day 1 Women’s World Championship match because it’s a joke that she wasn’t in the qualifiers. Stephanie tells Ronda that she can find out what the announcement is with everyone else. She walks past Rousey who eyes her coldly. COMMERCIAL BREAK The Managing Director comes to the ring and says she has an announcement which will change the WWE as we know it. But she needs some help so she would like to invite the Unified Tag Team Champions to come to the ring. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn come down to the ring. Stephanie says they have spent many months showing what true champions they are in defending those titles and it has not gone unnoticed. That’s why she wants to offer them both long term exclusive Raw contracts with a significant raise. Both of them clearly weren’t expecting that but don’t mind making more money and quickly sign. Stephanie shakes their hands and holds up the contract, declaring that both of them are exclusive to Raw! Owens and Zayn look to each other, just now realizing that they will only be able to defend their titles on Raw, which by the look on her face, was exactly Stephanie’s intent. Becky Lynch is angrily pacing, still upset from her earlier encounter with Rhea Ripley. Lita is trying her best to calm her down when Trish Stratus comes along. She says she knows this isn’t the best time but she owes both of them an apology for War Games. It’s her fault they lost.Trish is really beating herself up which causes Lita and Becky both tell her not to take it so hard and that accidents happen. They both wish Trish good luck in her qualifier tonight. COMMERCIAL BREAK Backstage, Rex Steiner and Drew McIntyre are having a friendly arm wrestling challenge while they’re surrounded by others cheering them on. In the distance…. Maria watches the group and she looks like she likes what she sees. But who is it that has her attention? TRISH STRATUS VS NIKKI CROSS Nikki’s unorthodox attacks keep Trish on the defense in the early going, but that changes when Nikki tries a running elbow drop off the apron and Trish moves, causing Nikki to crash onto the floor. Trish gets her back in the ring and takes over, going through her normal offense before she ends it with a Chick Kick for the pinfall. RESULT: TRISH STRATUS WINS BY PINFALL Baszler and Niven hit the ring and jump Trish from behind. They’re looking to injure her before the fatal four way in two weeks but….. Lita comes running down to save her friend and helps Trish turn the tide. The two Hall of Famers clear the ring and stand side by side. COMMERCIAL BREAK CODY RHODES VS THE MIZ Miz tries some mind games and stalling to get Cody off his game, who eventually gives chase around the ring and falls victim to an ambush. Miz takes control and tries to get a quick win but Cody keeps kicking out. Miz complains to the ref, allowing Cody a moment to regroup and make a comeback. Stunned by a few punches, Miz get a bionic elbow for his trouble, followed by a hooked clothesline. Cody is feeling it, and hits his usual offense. The Miz is whipped hard into the corner and when he comes out, Cody gives him a high backdrop. Cody signals that it’s time and he hits CrossRhodes for the win. RESULT: CODY RHODES WINS BY PINFALL Cody celebrates on the ropes but when he turns around, he’s smashed in the corner by a charging Bronson Reed. Reed hits several massive elbow drops. The Miz joins in stomping Cody as Reed goes to the top and he jumps off with his Tsunami! Cody is hurt, holding his ribs, and the Miz tells Reed to do it again. Officials hit the ring, ordering Reed to get down and he does….jumping through them to hit another Tsunami on Cody. Reed stares down at what he’s done as Cody is apparently hurt badly. Good Night from Des Moines!

  14. A video recap of Survivor Series is shown with still photos of Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, Team Mami versus Team Man in War Games, John Cena retaining the World Heavyweight Championship against Dom Mysterio. There is a pause in the video, before we're shown a video of the return of Big E, with focus on the crowd reaction (including real tears in the audience)" and then him ending the record-setting Intercontinental Championship reign of Gunther. The video ends with Big E raising the Intercontinental Title high in the air. Welcome to Monday Night Raw DECEMBER WEEK 1 MVP ARENA ALBANY, NY AWWWWWWWW Albany!!!! Don’t you dare be sour! Clap…for your new Intercontinental Champion….and feeeeeeel the POWWAAAAA! The crowd is on its feet as the reunited New Day dance their way down to the ring. Once they’re in it however, the emotion of the moment hits them all, especially Big E. As the crowd chants welcome back, he wipes tears away and all three share a hug. Big E says that he’d like to say this was always the plan, but the truth is he never thought he’d be standing in this ring again but to steal a phrase, he kept hope alive. He worked hard and with the support of his brothers standing with him, he was finally medically cleared. He says he’d be remiss if he did not give a shoutout to Gunther. He was a great, great champion and it will be the ultimate challenge to maintain the prestige and honor he brought back to this title. Before he can continue, we hear another voice and we see who it belongs to. Dolph Ziggler walks out, faux clapping as he gets in the ring. Ziggler says he has good news and bad news. The good news is he’s out here to congratulate his old friend on the biggest comeback in Sports Entertainment history but now the bad news. That championship won’t be on his shoulder for very long. The crowd boos but Big E holds up a hand and comes face to face with Ziggler. Big E says he’s ready to defend this title anytime anyplace and he thinks Albany is a great place and later tonight is a great time. Ziggler smiles and tells Big E to remember one thing. He stood in the ring when Ziggler won his world title and tonight he’ll be in the ring when Dolph ends this farce. Ziggler leaves the ring, leaving the New Day simmering. ~~~~COMMERCIAL BREAK~~~~ We come back from break with a highlight of what happened to open the show, and then a replay from last week that saw Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn get a little testy with DIY leading to a Unified Tag Team Championship match which is next! DIY VS KEVIN OWENS AND SAMI ZAYN © The match is a showcase between two great teams in which both share in the offense and control of the match. Zayn matches up with Gargano in a technical match but it gets very physical when Owens and Ciampa make tags at the same time. They fight to the outside, both risking a countout to get one more shot in on the other guy. They finally get back inside, standing toe to toe in the middle of the ring exchanging slow right hands. When Ciampa is whipped to the corner, Gargano makes the tag and uses his quickness against a worn down Owens, who makes a hot tag to Zayn. The match continues as such until Gargano has his superkick caught by Zayn, who spins him around in a blue tiger bomb. Owens cuts off Ciampa and the ref counts to three. RESULT: KEVIN OWENS AND SAMI ZAYN RETAIN THE UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL Following the match, both teams come face to face and shake hands. DIY raises the arms of the champions showing their respect. ~~~~COMMERCIAL BREAK~~~~ Stephanie McMahon is in her office when Rhea Ripley barges in. She says that after Team Mami’s impressive victory at War Games she wants her due respect and that means hertitle rematch against Becky Lynch. Before McMahon can answer, Becky Lynch comes in commenting that her ears were burning. She and Ripley go nose to nose, and Becky wants the fight as much as Rhea. Stephanie stands and shouts them down. She says this is also as good a time as any to announce that on the first Raw of January they’ll again be holding Day 1 so on that day it will be Becky Lynch defending the Women’s World Championship against well that’s unknown. Because…. There will be a Fatal Fourway on the final Raw of 2023 and the winner of that Fatal Fourway will face Becky Lynch for the Women’s World Championship at Day 1. And the winner of that match will go to the Royal Rumble to face……Rhea Ripley. And the tournament to find our four women in the Fatal Fourway begins…tonight. Lynch and Rhea eye each other warily as the segment ends. ~~~~COMMERCIAL BREAK~~~~ Byron Saxton is with Drew McIntyre and Rex Steiner. He questions them about what we saw after their loss and both men say it was the heat of the moment. They’re both competitive but that doesn’t change the respect between them. They shake hands but if you look closely, it seems to be a contest of who can squeeze the hardest as the segment ends. LITA VS EMMA In our first qualifier, Emma has Lita on the ropes, pushing the Hall of Famer to the limit. Lita doesn’t give up however and bides her time, and when Emma gives her an opening, she hits a Twist of Fate. Emma is laid out and in perfect position for a moonsault that gets the win. RESULT: LITA WINS BY PINFALL Randy Orton is backstage sitting on a cargo trunk. He says that Survivor Series didn’t go his way but that’s in the past. Now it’s time to look to the future and become a fifteen-time world champion. That begins with the Royal Rumble where he will introduce twenty-nine other men to the three most dangerous words in sports entertainment….R…K…O. ~~~~COMMERCIAL BREAK~~~~ John Cena comes out to a big reaction. He talks about his match with Dominik Mysterio and says that he may not be standing here if it wasn’t for one person. So Seth Rollins, get on out here. Rollins makes his way to the ring with the crowd singing his song. He gets in and Cena offers a hand. They shake and Cena says he wants to say man to man, thank you for your help after my match. Rollins says that any time he gets to ruin a moment for the Judgment Day he’s more than happy but it’s interesting how Cena phrased things a moment ago. That Cena may not be standing here because if we’re being honest, John Cena may not be the seventeen-time world champion without Seth Freakin Rollins and that means, Rollins thinks Cena owes him one. Cena says it seems he owes him two so name it. Rollins says he wants a title match at the Royal Rumble and the crowd pops. Cena asks if they want to see him and Rollins for the title and there’s more cheers. Balor and Mysterio come out and say what these morons want doesn’t matter because the Judgment Day have some scores to settle. Dom tries to talk but he gets boo’d out of the building. Before he can try again RAW Managing Director Stephanie McMahon comes out and says this crowd in Albany didn’t buy a ticket to hear talking, they paid to see some fighting. Get a referee out here, we have a tag team match…next! ~~~~COMMERCIAL BREAK~~~~ FINN BALOR AND DOMINIK MYSTERIO VS JOHN CENA AND SETH ROLLINS Rollins and Balor begin the match and go right at each other. A cheap shot by Dom allows Judgment Day to control the match. Cena is dying to get the tag and right before he does, Balor runs around the ring and pulls him down, ramming him into the post. Left without a partner, Rollins falls victim to Dominik’s stomp the small of his back. This continues for several more minutes before Rollins can make a tag again but this time Dominik distracts the referee and he doesn’t see it. When Cena comes in, he’s forced back to the outside while Balor and Mysterio rough up Rollins. Rollins keeps kicking out of pin attempts and finally has a third opening when Dom goes to the top for a frog splash but Rollins dives at the ropes and crotches him. Rollins crawls to the corner and Cena is leaning in as far as he can.until the tag is made! Cena flies into the ring, unloading on both members of Judgment Day before clotheslining Balor over the top and then focusing on Dom. He hits his usual offensive set, including the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He’s setting up for the Attitude Adjustment when Balor gets back in, but this time Rollins meets him with a flurry of punches before both tumble through the ropes. Cena turns his attention back to Dom, who manages to escape the AA. Dom runs to the ropes and goes for a springboard crossbody block, but Cena catches him, hoists him up again and hits the AA and makes the cover. 123. RESULT: JOHN CENA AND SETH ROLLINS WIN BY PINFALL Cena and Rollins exchange a handshake and thanks for getting the victory but the glance they exchange shows the tension between them. ~~~~COMMERCIAL BREAK~~~~ PIPER NIVEN VS LIV MORGAN Morgan flies around trying to use her quickness to her advantage and earn a spot in the fatal fourway at Day 1. It works for a bit, but when Niven swats her out of the air with an open hand chop. Morgan is in trouble from that point on as Niven shows off her power and athleticism. She finally whips Liv into the corner and hits a running avalanche. Liv collapses and Piper makes the pin with her foot on her chest. RESULT: PIPER NIVEN WINS BY PINFALL The announcers announce that Stephanie McMahon just announced that next week our main event will be the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes take on the A-lister, the Miz! ~~~~COMMERCIAL BREAK~~~~ DOLPH ZIGGLER VS BIG E © W/KOFI KINGSTON AND XAVIER WOODS Ziggler knows Big E very well and uses that to his advantage. He frustrates the champion who is showing signs of pressure being his second match and first title defense. Kofi and Xavier at ringside try to encourage Big E but he makes several unforced mistakes almost leading to a pinfall. Big E backs off to get his head straight and that’s when Ziggler makes his mistake, walking up and slapping Big E across the face. You can virtually see a switch flip in the champion’s head as he launches out of the corner, flattening Ziggler with a heavy clothesline. Big E begins to manhandle Ziggler, showing off his power. Ziggler tries to escape the ring but Big E pulls him back in by the trunks before hitting a huge belly to belly, and then picks him up, walking around with Ziggler on his shoulder and delivers the Big Ending for the win. RESULT: BIG E RETAINS THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL The New Day is celebrating but that’s cut short when Gunther and Imperium walk out from the back. Gunther tells them to enjoy it tonight, because next week, Imperium will end the party. A staredown commences as the show comes to an end. Good Night from Albany!
