  1. A YEAR WITHOUT VINCE <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RFGkaZLNtmw" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> So Vince McMahon is gone from the WWE for good (at least that's what we think) and I've taken to TEW 2020 to simulate a full year to see how the landscape changes.
  2. BRET HART WCW REVISITED <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7P4qFv-3CRk" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> We all know how Bret Hart's WCW career ended up, so we're using TEW 2020 to simulate what could have been for the Hitman after the Montreal Screwjob. We pick things up in January 1998 using the awesome Chronicles '98 mod and simulate forward for 4 years to see if we can change the fate of the Hitman.
  3. Hi everyone, Anderz here and I’d love for you to join me as I begin to create YouTube videos for TEW 2020. I’ve been out of the “scene” for a couple of years but hopefully there are still a few folks around these parts who remember some of my written diaries over the years. I’d drop links but my two “biggest” diaries seem to have vanished from the boards; but hopefully you’ll have fond memories of my “Race to the Top” JCP diary as part of TheFinalCountdown’s The Golden Age and Beyond save; or my post-Montreal WWF save - Attitude is Everything. In the time between my last diary here and today I have been doing video content for Football Manager for just over a year. Now I’m branching out (or back in) to TEW content. I’ll be doing a mixture of stand alone (simulations/experiments/what ifs/etc) and let’s play series as I’ve done with Football Manager. I’ll be using this thread to link to my content and am we coming feedback and discussion as well. My channel is linked here: Anderzbaz Gaming - I’d love it if you would subscribe and watch along with me. Once I’ve posted a few more videos, I’ll use this thread as a bit of an index as well. Thanks!

  5. I posted my work in progress schedule for PGHW over in that thread that I’m trying to base on reality. I’m not 100% happy with it and I’ll probably add a few more shows in as I go along but at the moment I’ve got a roughly 60/40 split between touring and normal intent shows.
  6. I decided (like I have done in most iterations of the game) to change up PGHW's schedule. It's definitely a hybrid between "touring" and "constant" and uses a few events that were present back in 2005 but have been lost over the years. Feel free to completely ignore or help improve or whatever you see fit. I'll go month-by-month; but some tours overlap. Tour shows have a "touring" intent, whilst tournament shows and 'big' shows have a "normal" intent. January Road to Respect (7 show tour) RESPECT (Tour ending big show) February Destiny Calls (3 show mini-tour) DESTINY (Tour ending big show) Elite Series (First 4 events of the Elite Series) March Elite Series (Final 7 events of the Elite Series) Night of PRIDE (Elite Series Final and Season Finale) BARRAGE (New season kickoff show) April International Tour (3 show mini-tour internationally) Resilience Series (7 show tour) May FORTITUDE (Tour ending big show) Road to Glory (7 show tour) Night of GLORY (Tour ending big show) June Summer Super Series (3 shows of the tour) STRENGTH (Mid-tour big show) Summer Super Series (4 shows of the tour) July MAGNUM (Mid-tour big show) Summer Super Series (Final 4 shows of the tour) WARRIORS (Tour ending big show) Road to Honour (First 2 shows of tour) August Road to Honour (Final 5 shows of tour) COLLISION (Part one of tour ending double header - Final of the Young Lions Cup) Night of HONOUR (Part two of tour ending double header - Host of the single night Honour Cup tournament) September Royal Road (First 4 shows of tour) LEGACY (Mid-tour big show) Royal Road (4 more shows of tour) October Royal Road (Final 3 shows of tour) KINGS (Tour ending big show) Elite Tag Series (First 4 shows of tournament) November Elite Tag Series (Final 7 shows of tournament) COURAGE (Elite Tag Series Final and tour ending big show) International Tour (1 show of International mini-tour) December International Tour (2 more shows of International mini-tour) *** (7 show tour) Night of WRESTLING (Tour ending big show) So there you have it; 15 big shows; 22 tournament shows; 60 touring shows and space for 6 international shows. Other things to note are the Honour Cup and Young Lions Cup; two tournaments over the Summer. Honour Cup is going to be a single-night single elimination tournament that grants the winner a title shot; whilst the Young Lions Cup is a single-block round robin that will run on the undercard of Road to Honour and feature a crop of young lions. I'm really interested in hearing thoughts. Edit: I don't have a name for the tour in December yet, so any suggestions?
  7. Maybe it's possible to have it as an option in your preferences to set your own colours? Like in Fast Break Basketball.
  8. I'll preface this with the fact I haven't looked at Mexico in the CVerse yet; but I have to disagree that you need to be able to speak Spanish to understand Lucha Libre in TEW. I don't need to know that "Campeonato de Parejas" directly translates to "Couples Championship" because I know its the Tag Team title. I don't need to know that "técnico" and "rudo" translate to "technician" and "rude" because I know that they are face and heel. I guess what I'm saying is that not being able to understand Spanish does not mean I won't be able to understand Lucha Libre. Everything in-game Mexico being English isn't an issue per say but it does break immersion. I might understand everything perfectly but it won't feel like I'm playing in Mexico. In that case I agree with OP; unless of course changes have been made to appeal to an in-game English speaking audience.

Along the way <strong>Woolridge</strong> took a Player of the Week award proving his All-Star status <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="lcRM0Qo.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lcRM0Qo.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="T0WlCyh.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/T0WlCyh.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> March however, was back to our very best and put beyond a doubt that this season was an unmitigated success. <strong>Jordan</strong> came back and put up some good numbers - taking back-to-back Player of the Week awards from the league. The 17 missed games was too much and kept him out of MVP contention and he missed both the All-Rookie and All-NBA teams.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Juhn8db.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Juhn8db.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Bagley</strong> was our only constant on our starting line as he didn't miss a game (even played an extra game due to the timing of his trade). Scoring was all about <strong>Woolridge</strong> and <strong>Jordan</strong> - and it's scary to think how this season could have gone without injury.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="hvTVXj9.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hvTVXj9.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="jPlp5Ds.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jPlp5Ds.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We cruised to the Eastern conference title and will take the #1 seed into the Playoffs at our first attempt. Over the in West, take a look at the 2-win Clippers season - the worst in history. To make matters worse for them, we have their first round draft pick as they got desperate and traded it away for a couple of our bench warmers.</p><p> </p><p> And here is the lineup for the 1985 NBA Playoffs:</p><p> <img alt="qccEfgi.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qccEfgi.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I'm not expecting anything from this post season; if we make it to the East Finals I'll be ecstatic. We should get past the Pacers but I'm a little nervous about the Hawks and Wilkins. The Finals will probably be taken by whoever comes out of the West on top - either the Trail Blazers or the Lakers; but I'll take a punt on Portland to take home the chip.</p>

We then traded out of neccessity due to injuries - sending Caldwell Jones and our 2nd pick for 1986 to the Knicks in return for <strong>Rory Sparrow</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="e7h6yuf.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/e7h6yuf.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The majority of Sparrow's stats here are from the Knicks obviously.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="habIOSD.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/habIOSD.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Still comfortably at the top of the division and the conference despite missing Jordan.</p><p> </p><p> In other news, <strong>Orlando Woolridge</strong> became my first All-Star - playing a whole 1 minute for the East.</p><p> </p><p> Bring on the final run to the Playoffs.</p>
  11. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;">1984: PRE-SEASON</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> I didn't want to make any changes to the side early on, figuring that it's best to find out what really needs changing and where we really need to improve before making any moves.</p><p> </p><p> This is our starting roster; ranked by current ability:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="L2imKLH.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/L2imKLH.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> As you can see, we have a really good side to start the season - no duds and I wouldn't be surprised if we made the playoffs without making any wholesale changes.</p><p> </p><p> It's clear that the star will be <strong>Jordan</strong> but I fully expect both <strong>Woolridge</strong> and <strong>Dailey</strong> to be very good for us. We're well stocked for Power Forwards on the bench but without many options at Small Forward.</p><p> </p><p> We went into the preseason with decent expectactions and found pretty good results with our starting five being:</p><p> </p><p> C: #43 Johnson</p><p> PF: #35 Woolridge</p><p> SF: #17 Jordan</p><p> SG: #20 Dailey</p><p> PG: #1 Matthews</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="oL2o2tT.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oL2o2tT.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Woolridge scored an average of 26.8 pts; with Jordan on 23.8 and Dailey at 20.5. We were quietly confident of a playoff berth and maybe even a challenge for the Central Division title.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The NBA made their predictions for each division:</p><p> </p><p> Atlantic: Boston Celtics</p><p> Central: Atlanta Hawks (Bulls at #2)</p><p> Midwest: Dallas Mavericks</p><p> Pacific: Los Angeles Lakers</p><p> </p><p> Jordan was predicted to make both the All-Rookie and All-League teams.</p>
  12. BULLS ON PARADE A Chicago Bulls Dynasty I've recently purchased the game and thought I'd give a dynasty thread a whirl. I can see that the community here is pretty much gone, but hopefully the few of you out there enjoy the story of my game. This is my first real game so I'm sure there will be plenty of mistakes and errors along the way. I start in 1984 with the Chicago Bulls - fresh off picking up the hotly rated Michael Jordan, who will wear the #17. My goals for this game are as follows: Win an NBA Championship during the 1980's Win more than 6 Championships before the year 2000 A few notes; at this early stage my trading style is probably best described as "reactive" as I'm not actively chasing trades - I want to slowly build the team up properly and not ruin the harmony and cohesion by changing too much too soon. That's not to say I won't do any trades, but it will likely be trying to trade up in the early drafts as we build and moving around parts of Jordan's support. It's also worth noting that the colour ratings in my game go 'red-amber-green-blue-silver-gold' so don't be alarmed that the colours don't match the default settings. Enjoy the ride.
  13. There’s a probably a million things to discuss or watch ahead of this weekend; but if you only watch one thing - watch the hype video for Gargano vs Ciampa. This is surely the main event on Saturday, no way anything can follow it.
  14. Any way I can edit my Approval Rating? I’ve just signed my rival promotions top star and in the process completely turned the National battle around in one move. But because he is 43 and I have an owner goal of no one older than 42 - my approval rating has dropped to Abysmal. I’m only a few months in so I’ve got plenty of time to turn it around but surely signing (arguably) the biggest star in the country outweighs him being 1 year too old!
