  1. In what way are they underrated? Their events do 20-30k, the TV gets 1mil+ in the ratings, they grow into the 70s within a year. If anything they're dead on because it's naive to say they're on WWE's level yet imo. There's also like 40 guys in well known/recognisable so I'm not sure how you can say there's no midcard.

AEW is absolutely dead on imo. Jim Ross is still good though, he needs to be better :-)

  2. Nah, any company that's Big or above is definitely handing out exclusive deals 100% of the time (I think that starts at Medium iirc) and companies can be quite aggressive when going for a booker as well, they won't care about their current contract situation. Did they sign anyone else from you or was it just Bryan?

Since it's an organic company I'm less worried about it, it's one thing if it were WWE doing it but it's really hard to balance around organic ones and personally I'd never have them turned on until things had settled for a few years anyway. Given the option of making booking as AEW's "allies" less realistic and fun or fixing it so organic companies work better I'm going with the former every time.

    Okay, thanks for the input.

It's just Bryan atm but I'm giving exclusives to everyone now just to be sure.

  3. Are MBW an organic company? Since he's become their booker as well that might have something to do with what's happened, I've not seen it with a normal company that's just hiring workers to work.

Yes, it's a new company, big size. But there's no such thing as a booker contract, is there? You can be a booker on a handshake deal, can't you? Or how does that work exactly?

  4. I've done literally dozens of sims and never seen this happen even once, I assumed any company that's big enough to offer exclusive deals would stay away from workers with non-exclusive written contracts as long as they have iron clad agreements. Certainly will have to change it if that's not the case but I'm confused at why I've never seen it before.

I've done exactly one game like this and it's happened immediately. So you're telling me it's a bug?

  5. (Exclusive) Written

Hi again. So I've been playing the latest version for a bit after being away from TEW for a while now. I've been playing with AEW and honestly I don't agree with giving most of the wrestlers a written instead of an exclusive written in AEW.

I get why. Yes, AEW wrestlers are allowed to works indies. However, they aren't allowed to go to WWE, NXT, or even ROH though. Just indies.

The way the game works however is that a worker under a written contract can actually be offered a written or exclusive written contract by another company and accept this without breach of contract. So now I'm in a situation where Bryan Danielson has been offered and accepted a 1,5 year exclusive deal with WWE. He signed. I did not get any notification/email of this whole transaction. I only saw it because Danielson isn't available on certain dates and the dates I can use him on he's often tired.

I don't see this as a realistic scenario. While I agree neither written nor exclusive written are exactly true to the real life contracts in AEW, it resembles the latter more in my opinion.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone had this happen in one of their games?

  6. In the update after the next one (so December) I'm looking at trying to work more on balancing for Road to Glory saves, so stuff like changes to broadcasters and the addition of some obscure local workers for people to use in their tiny companies, and India will likely be a part of that. I don't think CWE will make it in as a full fledged active company but I'll definitely be adding some of their wrestlers to expand that scene and make it playable.

Thanks to both of you for the info and for your work :)

  7. There are probably not enough workers who share the "Deathmatch Wrestler" attribute and owner/booker skills. Even with that, you might have to set them up to prefer the "Hardcore" product as owners. You'll have to go into the main editor and check this yourself.

Oh so there's an attribute for that? Thanks.

Update: I uhm... did change something in the database and the result... the new owner of Desastro Total Ultraviolento... Michelle McCool!

  8. I have a question about how looking for owners and bookers works in the game. If it's been asked already, I'm sorry I didn't find it. Please refer me to the link if so.

I'm playing a game using the latest mod from The Who. I've generated a few extra companies with quick fill because I like having some crazy new companies out there.

Now I've noticed that certain companies find owners sooner then others and certain companies don't find owners at all. I'm talking about Deathmatch product. Regular deathmatch or lucha deathmatch or whatever. There are 4 companies in my game now with that product that don't have an owner yet even though other companies have come later in the game and did find owners and bookers.

So now I'm wondering how owners work in the game. Can anyone be a potential owner, if they are available? Will a deathmatch company only hire hardcore wrestlers? Do they have other demands, like a minimum of a certain reputation? If they don't find the ideal candidate, will that company then settle for someone less qualified? How does the game determine if a certain worker will refuse to be the owner of a deathmatch company?

There are a lot of questions to basically ask one thing: what is the reason deathmatch companies don't find owners and is there a way to rectify it?

  9. Go to editor, click "Convert TEW2016 Database" in bottom right and it talks you through it.

For cheat codes, go to options screen (third icon from bottom on taskbar left hand side) click remote help (third icon from bottom on right hand side on options screen) type in 'empleh' into the popup that appears and it'll show you all the codes. Then note the ones you want to use, close that screen, and type the one you want in the same place.

Great! Thanks man, you truly are a Living Legend ;-)

Some of the design decisions in this game is just mind boggling and I can't look past it. Specifically, the products. </p><p> </p><p> But never fear, I'm going to keep my word with the giveaway. Haven't played yet but the products were always a mayor concern for me from the beginning. </p><p> </p><p> That said, this tournament thing was for many people here, or at least for me, something fun to do during the quarantine. Having a WWE 2K20 tournament can still be fun right? </p><p> At least that game works for you, which is a miracle if I ever saw one. I can't even start a match in WWE 2K20. The game has literally never worked, once a match should start the game simply crashes. Money down the drain.</p>
