Pretty much their entire roster were also working on the independents, including said names. Again, if my memory is serving me right, it wasn't until about 2009 that TNA started handing them out. They obviously weren't working for other big name promotions and I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in their contracts that reflected this, but there's unfortunately no way to simulate that sort of thing in TEW.
I've taken Jaysin's advice and gave them simmering tension with McMahon, and hopefully that'll solve the issue.
You could give them non-exclusive written contracts

they should all be under written deals anyway.

I love this mod. I wish there were some more mods out there with a specific focus for play. Feels like I'm playing TEW Campaign mode.

I assume so they can be booked by NXT. You can loan the titles on show days.

The ability to sign someone to a written contract that would make them exclusive to you in your home region. The trade could be less money to sign them (because it leaves them open to taking bookings in other countries) but with the obvious downside of them being able to have the same kind of contract offered by promotions in other regions.

his is also a good way of simulating interpromotional relationships between companies and is something we are starting to see in real life with NJPW and it's American friends in AEW and TNA.

I'm almost definitely doing this for NJPW/NJoA either way because it just works a lot better for the player, I don't think a lot of people really book NJoA and would rather just book the American brand alongside the main company, it's definitely the way I prefer it as well.
The big question is AEW/ROH - it would work better for the player booking AEW I think (as far as having the fluidity to use ROH guys as much as you want, the 4th show would be awful), but the obvious downside is you wouldn't be able to book just ROH anymore and they would no longer be recognised as their own company.
the problem for me with AEW/ROH is just how bloated it makes everything feel
