  1. RPW - Promotion Program Vol. 8 Wednesday, Week 1, October 2021. Hello RPW Fans! Thank you for sticking with us thorough this tumultuous time. A lot of events happened this summer, and we’ll do our best to get you up to speed. If you missed our major announcements over the past three months, we’ve got you covered. In September, RPW had seen two departures of two of our longtime stalwarts. First, Austin Smooth was signed by the Canadian Wrestling Alliance. Since he had agreed to a written contract with them, he was forced to end our ongoing arrangement. While this was unfortunate, we are glad to see him move onto a bigger stage where he can showcase his immense talents. We wish him the best of luck with the rest of his career, and maybe we’ll see him again one day. In more somber news, RPW lost Lazy Joe at the beginning of September. He was found dead after a car accident after he had visited his family. We send our condolences to his surviving family. We have also reached out to his family and made a donation towards the funeral fees. The wrestling world mourns the loss. We want to thank everyone who has decided to view our shows on WrestleWorld. We wouldn’t be where we are without all of our fans around the country. Thank you for making each show better than the last. The Story So Far RPW kicked off their Single Elimination tournament to crown the first ever RPW Alliance Champions at the end of August at the premier edition of RPW Alliance. At that show, Family Values, represented by Dominic DeGraff and Dreadnought, had a strong showing against Lazy Joe and War Piece, much to the delight of the still injured Tennessee Williams The other first round matchup had Ace Youngblood and Adrian Sale defeat Ozzie Goldstein and Zippy Deverell, with Youngblood catching the over-eager Deverell a flurry and Flying Tomahawk Chop. At RPW Alliance 2 in September, the second half of the first round wrapped up. Charlie Corner gelled with new teammate, Garry Fields, to defeat Rafe Sashay and his ring coach, Nathan Coleman. Vortex also picked up the win over Young ‘n Wasted to advance to the Semi Finals. At RPW Alliance 3, the Semi-Finals will take place, with the following matchups. Family Values (Dominic DeGraff & Dreadnought w/Tennessee Williams) vs Ace Youngblood and Adrian Sale Vortex (Hammer Hadley & James Diaz) vs Garry Fields and Charlie Corner. Even when out injured with a left elbow injury, Tennessee Williams has had his presence on the roster felt. He had started coming out with his arm in a sling, and sporting a polished black cane. Several people have felt the wrath of his words and the lash of the cane. One such incident happened at the end of RPW Fight Night 2, at the beginning of September, when he revealed that he had fully recovered from his injury and helped the rest of the Family attack their semi-final opponents of Ace Youngblood and Adrian Sale. During the melee, a particularly fierce cane shot cracked the ribs of Adrian Sale. Sale’s availability for RPW Alliance 3 is in question, and Tennessee Williams has raised the claim that Family Values should get a pass to the finals, since their opponent is out of commission. A decision has not been made yet, but will this be the opportunity for Williams and his Family to walk into the finals without a fight? The duo of Jack Pryde and Pepper Pelton, now dubbed Prime Time, have not taken kindly to being left out of the tag team tournament to crown our first ever RPW Alliance Champions. They have taken to hijacking portions of the show and airing grievances, and going so far as to drag out other members of the roster to get assaulted one at a time, in order to prove that they belonged. They have vowed that no one is safe until this wrong is righted. Until they get their shot, they will do whatever it takes to take their own shot. It was an emotional few weeks for War Piece, who had teamed with Lazy Joe in the Alliance Championship Tournament. After their first round exit, he had honored his former teammate and coach by teaming with Richard Tunckes and defeated Cheech King and Edward Cooper using Lazy Joe’s Lay Out finisher. War Piece would then go on and give a speech about Lazy Joe, what he meant to him, and what he meant to the company. Going forward, War Piece will look to carry a piece of the first veteran to believe in his young career with him. This match, the War Piece and Lazy Joe vs Rafe Sashey and Nathan Coleman, and the Lazy Joe and War Piece vs Family Values match from the past few months will be made freely available on our website. We thank WrestleWorld for allowing us the usage of this footage from their service. The Future of the Newsletter As we expand as a company, we are always looking for ways to improve our newsletter content for our fans. At the end of 2021, we will be evaluating our current format and see if we want to change from the quarterly newsletter format, or if we want to invest in a site where more news, updates, and show results can be found. Thank you all for your patience as we go through these growing pains. RPW has grown larger than we had imagined, and we couldn’t have done it without you. [Game notes] Since I haven’t done this in some time, I wanted to give an update on where my roster is currently situated and where everything is sitting at. 2. <p><span style="font-size:14px;">Farewell to Lazy Joe</span></p><p> </p><p> We at Rapid Pro Wrestling are saddened by the recent news of Lazy Joe's passing. Lazy Joe has been a member of the RPW family since our revival in January of 2020. Our condolences go out to his family, friends, and loved ones.</p><p> </p><p> Lazy Joe was a stalwart of the United States Independent Scene throughout a good part of the late 00's, including a stint as the PSW National Champion back in 2008. The wrestling world mourns this loss. </p><p> </p><p> Lazy Joe main evented the first ever RPW Live, defeating Hammer Hadley in our promotions's first show back. He had matches with Austin Smooth and Tennessee Williams throughout 2020, before taking on a mentorship role in 2021, by teaming with rookie War Piece, and regularly facing Rafe Sashay, by his request. Lazy Joe was looking forward to giving back to the next generation of professional wrestlers and he will be missed. </p><p> </p><p> Thank you Lazy Joe, for everything you've given us. May you rest in peace.</p>
  3. For Immediate Release We come today with bittersweet news that RPW staple, Austin Smooth, has departed the company, as they have been signed to an Exclusive Written Contract with the Canadian Wrestling Alliance. While we are saddened that we will no longer be able to work with Austin, who has been nothing short of a consummate professional, we wish him the best of luck on the next stop on his career, and believe he will go on to do great things within our industry. This leaves a vacancy in our RPW Alliance Championship Tournament, as Charlie Corner was set to team with Austin Smooth at RPW Alliance 2, to face the team of Rafe Sashay and Nathan Coleman in first round action. After looking over our potential candidates, and after working with Charlie to see who he would like to team with, we have found a replacement. At this time, we would like to announce that Austin Smooth's replacement will be Garry Fields, also known as Garry the Entertainer. We know that this is a lot of information to take in. For anyone who had prepurchased tickets for RPW Alliance 2 in September, we can refund you if you are no longer interested in attending in light of this news. Thank you all for your time. We hope to see you at our next event, RPW Fight Night 2 on Saturday, September 14th.
  4. Time for the next installment in this Bite Sized journal. The Dynasty for the reader on the go. RPW - Promotion Program Vol. 7 July 1st, 2021 Welcome to the latest edition of the RPW Promotion Program! We have so much news that we’re existed to share with you. Fans may have noticed that our most recent show, RPW DUOS! 17 was livestreaming from WrestleWorld! For the foreseeable future, both our RPW Live and RPW DUOS! events will be livestreamed and archived on the WrestleWorld service! We have submitted our back catalog of show footage to WrestleWorld to see if it meets their quality standards, so we hope that our previous shows will be available for WrestleWorld subscribers. Fans who had purchase our old DVDs may have noticed an increase in quality for RPW DUOS! 17. That’s because we had wanted to make a good impression for our nationwide debut. To help with this, we have increased our production quality, staging, and hired announcer Barrie Poulin, who had spent the last two years calling various sports for his local community college, to liven up our home viewer’s experience. We have also hired Ohio based band Three Stock to help our workers design their own music that fits them. We hope that the increased quality makes RPW a more enjoyable show for you all to watch. The Stories so Far… Austin Smooth has aligned himself with Ace Youngblood and Adrian Sale to take on Tennessee Williams and his family of Dominic DeGraff and Dreadnaught. The trio has had success over the Family in tag matches, but they cannot quite serve Williams his comeuppance for his over-ambitious power grab. The Family has been laying waste to the roster every show, beating down those who would oppose them. Smooth put down the boastful Williams at RPW Live 18, and AAA secured a key victory over Family Values at RPW DUOS! 17, ending with Tennessee Williams suffering an arm injury after Youngblood tossed him violently into the barricade. With Smooth, Youngblood and Sale putting Family Values in their rearview, what does the future hold for these three? What will happen to Family Values in the wake of Tennessee Williams’ injury? The endgame of Jack Pryde’s incessant harassment of Pepper Pelton has appeared to achieve it’s goal. Weeks after holding back frustration, the dam finally burst after Pelton lost a match at RPW Live 16 back in April to Nathan Coleman. Bob Casey came down to try to console RPW’s Resident 5 Star Recruit, but Pelton lashed out, brutally assaulting Casey. Jack Pryde took this moment, not to taunt, but to applaud Pelton. Pryde had convinced Pelton to team up with him at RPW DUOS! 15 and RPW Live 17, and the two have found continued success. Pelton has regained his self-confidence, in no small part thanks to Jack Pryde’s excess of it. Pelton and Pryde are the latest to team up, amid all the factional warfare breaking out. We are a week away to the finish of the training contest between War Piece, mentored by Lazy Joe, and Rafe Sashay, coached by Nathan Coleman. The two have shown tremendous growth over the past few months. War Piece’s most notable victory came over special guest Conner Threepwood, following a dive off the top of the bleachers at the back. He then struggled to drag the downed Threepwood to the ring, delighting the fans with his comical acting. Rafe meanwhile was instructed to work in tag matches, to build up his rapport and learn from Coleman and the teammates Coleman handpicked for him, picking up wins over Young n Wasted, and Lazy Joe. Joe and Coleman will be in their pupils’ corners for this upcoming bout of up and comers. ANNOUNCEMENT We have two announcements to make today. The first is that after RPW Live 19 and RPW DUOS! 17, we will be retiring those names for the time being. This does not mean that the formats will change though. We wanted to reset the counters, and try to get the numbers on the same page, to prevent confusion in the future. So starting in August, please tune in to RPW Rivals, and our team focused RPW Alliance show. We had so many positive comments about our team based show, RPW DUOS!, that we wanted to keep the format, but we also acknowledge that teams of three or more don’t necessarily fit the mental image of a show called DUOS!. We hope you continue to provide us your support. To help promote these new shows, we have worked with Preston Holt, and have earned the blessing to introduce our first championship for RPW! Because of the focus on team based combat, our premier title will be the RPW Alliance Championship! This tag team championship will be awarded following a single elimination tournament, starting at the inaugural RPW Alliance. The bracket has been announced, and is presented below. RPW Alliance Championship 1 Family Values (Tennessee Williams* & Dominic DeGraff) 8 Lazy Joe and War Piece 4 Zippy Deverell & Dreadnought* 5 Ace Youngblood & Adrian Sale 3 Austin Smooth & Charlie Corner 6 Nathan Coleman & Rafe Sashay 7 Young ‘n Wasted 2 Vortex (Hammer Hadley & James Diaz) *If Tennessee Williams is still injured at RPW Alliance in August, Dreadnought will take his place, and Zippy Deverell will team with Ozzie Goldstein) We look forward to crowning our first champion over the course of this tournament. Thank you for all the support you all have given us, that has made this possible. RPW would be nothing without it’s fans. We’ll have an update on the tournament in the next RPW Promotional Program!

  6. RPW Promotional Program Vol 6 Happy 2021 to all of you out there in the RPW Fandom! We are so happy to be entering our second year of operation and we hope you all continue to support us through this new year. In exciting news, we held our first show outside of the Great Lakes region, with RPW DUOS! 13, on Friday, week 4 in February was held in Minneapolis MN. We were so excited to bring RPW on the road and we hope to do the same in the future. Our growth has been able to allow us to increase the quality of our DVD production. All of our shows, starting with RPW Live 13 back in January, will have a dedicated commentary track and subtitles. You can view our new stock of products over at our new website. If you sign up for our newsletter before June 1st, you can win a set of 4 RPW coasters. The Story To Far Austin Smooth and Ace Youngblood looked to cap off their feud, with Smooth feeling like he was too good for RPW. They tried to conclude this rivalry at RPW Live 13 in January, but a double headbutt KO’d both participants, leaving the result inconclusive. They had a rematch at RPW Live 14, in a 2 out of 3 Falls match, and Ace Youngblood took the win 2 falls to 1 After the match, Youngblood helped Smooth up, and gave the ring to him. Smooth appeared conflicted in the ring after the match. Smooth’s hesitance seemed to disappear as he came to help Ace Youngblood and fight off Family Values as they beat down Youngblood’s tag partner, Adrian Sale, at RPW Live 15. What does the future hold for a rejuvenated Smooth here in RPW? Family Values has had some mixed success recently. Ever since Dominic DeGraff returned from injury, his tag team with Dreadnaught has hit a few stumbling blocks, while Tennessee Williams keeps on winning. Williams had tried to pressure Adrian Sale to either join Family Values, under his tutelage, or to give up his status as Liaison to RPW President Preston Holt. Sale has rebuffed Williams at every turn, and each time he has found himself on the wrong end of a beat down. Now, with Austin Smooth apparently backing Sale and Youngblood, they look to fight back against the rotten Family. Pepper Pelton’s string of back luck continues. He appeared to hit rock bottom RPW Live 14, after losing a tag team match against Vortex, he almost lashed out at his partner of Bob Casey, before finally coming to his senses. Prime Time Jack Pryde has noticed this and kept needling the popular Pelton, pushing him further and further into despair. Jack Pryde feels that he’s winning the war, though he may have lost the string of battles in the best of 7. What is his endgame and why does he like to see Pelton suffer so much? After the last RPW DUOS! 14, our cameraman caught Lazy Joe and Nathan Coleman get into a bit of an argument. They were each declaring that they were better teachers and had more knowledge than the other. They agreed to train them each for the next 3 months, and then have them face each other at RPW Live 19, to see who was the better teacher. Lazy Joe selected the enigmatic War Piece as his rookie, while Nathan Coleman selected Rafe Sashay. MUSICIANS WANTED RPW is looking to hire local musicians to work with our talent to device their own custom theme music! Send in a demo video to the contact form on our website with the subject line RPW Musician, and we’ll review your demo and see if any of our wrestlers want to use your services for making a theme. We are accepting all genres! [As I forgot to mention this previously, I did a Mystery Box pull for reaching Tiny size, and received +5 Technical Skill on my avatar, and for the end of the year I had gotten a +5 Consistency]
  7. I've noticed it too, but I think it's working more as intended. Women do tend to retire earlier than men. While some in reality are working longer, like Asuka and LuFisto, they're still uncommon compared to those who call it quits sooner.
  8. <p>We wrap up 2020 with a review of the last quarter, and a look ahead to things to come.</p><p> </p><p> ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== =====</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:14px;">RPW Promotion Program Vol. 5</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></p><p> </p><p> Thank you all for supporting Rapid Pro Wrestling throughout it’s first year! We’ve come a long ways since our first show back in January, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you. Thank you for sticking through the tales we’ve told, from the rookie showcase between Adrian Sale and Zippy Deverell, to the imposing introduction of Vortex, and even the thrilling best of 7 series between Pepper Pelton and “Prime Time” Jack Pryde. We appreciate each and every one of you who have come out to our show, or signed up to our mailing list.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">The Story So Far…</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> Vortex (Hammer Hadley and James Diaz) suffered setback after setback as the RPW roster banded together to fight them back. Jonah Pilgrim’s attempts to assist ended up working towards their detriment. Now free of Pilgrim, the duo works towards rebuilding and coming back stronger than ever.</p><p> </p><p> Tennessee Williams and Family Values (The stale of Williams, Dominic DeGraff and Dreadnaught) are looking to spread their beliefs through RPW, whether by wealth, by charm or by force. Williams has made himself comfortable at the top of the food chain, but recently began to take interest in Young Adrian Sale. After defeating him, Ace Youngblood and Bob Casey at RPW Live 10, Williams offered Sale his hand, and offed to take him under his wing. Sale, untrusting of the dastardly William, declined. The offer was made again at the next show, RPW DUOS! 9, but this time with the added incentive of Ace Youngblood being held hostage by the enforcers of Family Values. Sale challenged Williams to a singles match out of anger and frustration, but was roundly defeated at RPW Live 11 by ref stoppage, after Williams ran Sale’s knee into the post repeatedly. The trouble didn’t stop there, as Family Values repeatedly and maliciously attacked the knee, putting Sale out in-ring performing for weeks. Now, Tennessee Williams has revealed a shocking secret, with the help of Zippy Deverell: RPW is owned by Adrian Sale, which is why he wanted in with him. Adrian Sale has promised to answer this statement on the next RPW Live.</p><p> </p><p> Austin Smooth has been growing more and more impatient with RPW of late. He’s faced and beaten every challenger handily that has been thrown his way. He’s threatened to walk out of RPW if he doesn’t get some better competition, and a hefty raise. A returning Pepper Pelton stepped up to the plate to face the cocky Smooth, but he too fell in action. Finally, industry veteran Ace Youngblood steps up to the plate, and he’ll face Austin Smooth at the next RPW Live, in hopes of quelling Smooth’s enormous ego.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">New Faces</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> RPW has brought in an industry veteran to bolster the roster and to help with the progression of the young faces in RPW.</p><p> </p><p> Nathan Coleman, the world traveled performer has joined the roster of RPW. This 4-time GCG World Heavyweight Tag Team Champion bolsters the roster with his 31 years of experience. Nathan doesn’t have much time for the shenanigans of youth, so he make sure that everyone knows who he is and that they respect their elders. [49, Grizzled Veteran – Great, Heel]</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">End of the Year Awards</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> We would like to take this time to highlight some of the most impresive moments in RPW this year.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Match of the Year</strong> – Ace Youngblood & Pepper Pelton vs Austin Smooth & Tennessee Williams ending in a Double Pin Draw.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Promo of the Year</strong> – Prime Time Jack Pryde opening the show at RPW DUOS! 10.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Show of the Year</strong> – RPW DUOS! 10</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Performer of the Year</strong> – Austin Smooth</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">RPW News</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> We are sad to report that Dominic DeGraff suffered an injury at RPW Live 11 during a match where he was teaming with Dreadnaught and Zippy Deverell versus the team of Lazy Joe, Bob Casey, and Richard Tunckes. He will be out of action for another month. We wish Dominic a speedy recovery.</p><p> </p><p> Thank you to everyone who took advantage of our discounted ticket period! We appreciate everyone who came out and made the crowds this quarter fun! While the promotion is ending, we look forward toseeing some of you again in the near future, especially as we look to expand into surrounding territories.</p><p> </p><p> In other news, we have increased t quality for our home releases. We have invested in some new camera equipment,s o our production values should be more noticeable. This, along with our merchandising partnerships, allow us to finally release RPW on DVD for the new year! We look forward to you all being able order our quarterly videos, highlighting the quarter that just passed. Without all of you this would not have been possible. Thank you all. We’ll see you in 2021.</p>
  9. <p>The action inside the ring heated up over the summer, including the explosive finish to the Pepper Pelton and Prime Time Jack Pryde rivalry that had been raging for months.</p><p> </p><p> ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== =====</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:14px;">RPW Promotion Program Vol. 4</span></p><p> </p><p> Thank you all again for those who signed up to our mailing list to receive these quarterly programs. We really appreciateall our fans, new and old, as we trek through our year. A quick update on an announcement that we made last time. We had indicated that our RPW DUOS! shows woulc be half priced, but the feedback from the crowd was so positive, that we have decided to extend the discounted prices for the rest of the year! Whether you decide to go attend an RPW DUOS! show or RPW Live, you’ll be able to join with other fans of RPW for a good time.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">The Story so Far…</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> Vortex (James Diaz and Hammer Hadley) have been running roughshod over RPW, leaving a trail of defeated names in their wake. They’ve taken down teams of Lazy Joe and Bob Casey, and the known team of Young ‘n Wasted handily, but they may have hit their toughest foe yet: Jonah Pilgrim. The tough talkin’, soft walkin’ Pilgrim tried to join up with Vortex, stating he could make their team stronger. After teaming with Diaz and Hadley on separate shows, and taking the fall in both matches. He then tried to help Vortex defeat Ace and Sale, but his interference cost them the match. Now on a skid, Vortex is looking to regain the form they had after the detour by the troublesome Pilgrim.</p><p> </p><p> RPW’s newest signee, Tennessee Williams has made quite the splash since his arrival at RPW DUOS! 6. He debuted in a losing effort, teaming with Austin Smooth to face the team of Lazy Joe, and the now departed Kip Keenan. After the match, The Gentleman from Elizabethton challenged Lazy Joe to a singles match, a duel, as a true Gentleman doesn’t need a partner. Williams would win the match after a helping hand from his new Bodyguard, not partner, Dominic DeGraff. Williams wasn’t done though, as he introduced another bodyguard in the form of the menacing Dreadnaught, and forming the first faction of RPW: Family Values. Williams looks poised to model RPW in his image, who will be able to stop them?</p><p> </p><p> Adrian Sale has found some footing, teaming with Ace Youngblood, following his rivalry with Zippy Deverell. They’ve racked up some impressive wins over the past few months, but have hit a road block in the form of Austin Smooth. Smooth, teaming with Prime Time Jack Pryde have slammed the brakes on their winning streak, and have won two in a row. Will Sale be able to grow under the veteran leadership of Youngblood, or is he not yet ready for veteran competition?</p><p> </p><p> Pepper Pelton and Prime Time Jack Pryde kicked off this quarter ending their explosive best of 7 feud with a Last Man Standing match, main eventing RPW Live 7 in July. The two young men gbattered each other around the ring and crowds, until Pepper Pelton was finally able to keep Pryde down with a picture perfect Fisherman’s Suplex off the apron onto a barricade that had been used earlier to batter Pelton around.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">New Faces</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> The biggest new name in RPW is Tennessee Williams. The Gentleman has been riding a hot streak in the business lately, including a new catchphrase “A Gentleman Always Delivers” that has caught on with audiences around the country. A star in the making, Williams is looking to take control of RPW and make it his own. [31, Southern Gentleman – Great, Heel].</p><p> </p><p> War Piece is an enigmatic youngster who made his debut for RPW, and the wrestling world as a whole at RPW Live 9. The quirky youngster has a large looking gap in his mask, iand is constantly looking for just the right thing that will make it whole. [18, The Missing Piece – Great, Face]</p><p> </p><p> Also making his RPW and wrestling debut is Richard Tunckles. Not much is known about the young man, but you can tell he has passion for two things: wrestling, and his vintage moped. He carries a picture of his ride with him to the ring, and shows it off to the fans whenever he gets a chance. [19, Over the top biker – Adequate, Face].</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">News and Updates</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> RPW is saddened to announced that Pepper Pelton is currently recovering from a Spinal Disalignment injury he had sustained at RPW DUOS! 7, at the end of August. The diagnosis looks promising though, as he should be returning to action within a month or two. We wish Pepper Pelton a speedy recovery.</p><p> </p><p> In other news, we have been looking into other manufacturing new merchandise for our fans to enjoy. Our recent success have allowed us to look at increasing the quality of our existing products, while also adding new products such as RPW acrylic keychains, coasters, and fan towels. The agreements are almost complete, so the new products should be available by the end of the month!</p><p> </p><p> Our biggest announcement is that we have almost enough money to bring RPW on the road! We are eternally grateful to the people of the Great Lakes, and we have no intention of leaving you any time soon, but we are looking to taking our RPW shows on the road to surrounding states in the near future! If you live in the Mid-West area, keep an eye on our website for further announcements, as we look to make RPW bigger and better, so more and more of our wonderful fans can come out and have a good time.</p>
  10. <p>We’ve hit the halfway point in RPW’s inaugural year. How have things been going for our intrepid startup?</p><p> </p><p> ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== =====</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:14px;">RPW Promotion Program Vol. 3</span></p><p> </p><p> We appreciate all of our fans, both those who are able to make it to our RPW Live and RPW DUOS! events, and those around the world. Thank you for making this first half-year such a rousing success.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;">The Stories So Far</span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p> Zippy Deverell and Adrian Sale have taken issue with the other, as both are trying to make their mark at each other’s expense. Following their series of contests, head to head matches, and tag matches, the situation came to a head at RPW Live 6. This is where Adrian Sale picked up the first statement win of his young career. Zippy has been frustrated since, and has expressed disbelief at Sale, but for now, it appears these two have settled their dispute and look to both move forward.</p><p> </p><p> The ferocious team of Hammer Hadley and James Diaz, now known as Vortex, has been establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the roster. They have been on quite the winning trend, with their only loss coming to Pepper Pelton and Kip Keenan at RPW DUOS! 5, when Hammer Hadley refused to let go of the Choke Sleeper on Pelton when he was in the ropes. A resistance has started to coalesce to weather this storm, centered around industry veteran and RPW Newcomer, Ace Youngblood.</p><p> </p><p> The Best of 7 series between Pepper Pelton and Prime Time Jack Pryde has reached it’s zenith. The series is tied at 3-3, heading into RPW Live 7. Pryde had a 2-1 lead after the first quarter update, but Pepper Pelton evened the series after sweeping their Punt, Pass, and Kick competition, 3 wins to 0. For the next leg, they would each pick a champion to represent themselves in the main event of RPW Live 5. Pryde took hotshot star, Austin Smooth to represent him, but Pelton delivered a curveball, and brought in Jimmy Cox to be his representative for the night. Cox, the 30 year veteran, brought the full force of of his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear, picking up the win and giving Pelton the 3-2 lead. The 6th match was set to be a 3v3 team battle at RPW Live 6. Pelton, with a chance to close out the contest, chose Bob Casey and Lazy Joe as his teammates, banking on their combined experience to carry the day. Pryde went a different direction though, and brought in the dominant force of Vortex to the match. Pryde and Vortex used punishing attack to wear down the bodies of Joe and Casey, ultimately picking up the win and tying the series. 11. Whoops, forgot User Talents Negotiating: 5 Motivating: 3 Creativity: 7 Leadership: 3 Diplomacy: 5 Silver Tongue: 7 Here is the first quarterly report. I'll try to get the rest posted today that I've done so far. ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== RPW Promotional Program Vol. 2 The first three months have been a flurry of action. For our fans outside of the Great Lakes, we have provided this digital program to help you catch up on what you’ve missed. We’ll start by introducing you to the roster. Major Stars Austin Smooth (25, hired Friday, W4, February), uses his Easy Money [Rating: Adequate, Heel] persona that has won over the fans in PSW, where he also works. Smooth looks good, and he knows that it. He makes it all look too easy, and that’s how you make money. Bob Casey (44, hired Thursday W3, February) may not look like much, but he’s got his finger on the pulse of all the best knockoffs in town. This reliable worker knows how to find you the best deals on the cheap side of town. His attire is sponsored by the likes of PineApple computing, Wellday Tires, and Sprawlshop. [bland Name Shill – Very Good. Face] Lazy Joe (46, hired Thursday W1, January) was brought on to be the stabilizing force for the company from the beginning. His Laid Back [Rating: Great, Face] style has won over some members of the locker room, while infuriating his opponents, as they don’t feel like they’re being taken serious. it’s not meant to be a slight though, he just takes this at his own pace. Stars James Diaz (18, signed Wednesday, W1, January) is the son of the world famous Raymond “The Monster” Diaz. The Son of the Monster [Rating: Great, Heel] is following in his father’s footprints, but the only thing holding him back right now, is his inexperience. Pepper Pelton (20, signed Wednesday W1, January), looks like your prototypical High School Jock [Rating: Great, Face] but there’s more to him than his athletic build and demeanor. While he’s out there winning games, and matches, he’s also sticking up for those wronged by others, and is always ready to fight. The Rest Hammer Hadley puts his MMA practice to good use to batter his opponents. [MMA Badass: Great, Heel, Well Known] Kip Keenan was recently rejected to represent his state in a countrywide amateur wrestling contest, but looks to use the rejection to fuel his improvement. [Rejected All American: Great, Face, Well Known] Adrian Sale is looking to leave his mark on the industry but is finding out that reality can be harsher than dreams. [Rookie Blues: Adequate, Face, Recognisable] Prime Time Jack Pryde is full of swagger and isn’t afraid to show that he feels he’s destined to outpace RPW soon. [Prime Time: Great, Heel, Recognisable] Zippy Deverell is a motormouthed upstart who’s quick wit gets him into more trouble than he’s able to handle. [Zip the Lip: Adequate, Heel, Recognisable] The Stories So Far Starting from the first show, Prime Time Jack Pryde and Pepper Pelton have been at odds, with each being poised to be the future of RPW. They agreed to a best of 7 series of challenges. The two started off with a match between the two at the first RPW Live, with Pelton taking a 1-0 lead. At RPW Live 2, Jack Pryde evened the score during their pushup contest by kicking out the legs of Pepper as time was expiring. At the most recent RPW Live, at the beginning of March, they had participated in a Beat the Clock Challenge, with Pepper facing Zippy Deverell and Pryde facing Adrian Sale. Pelton would put away the Zipper after 9:44, but Pryde secured the win and the point after 7:31. He leads 2-1 heading into the second quarter of the year. Zippy Deverell and Adrian Sale both made their wrestling debuts at the first RPW Live in a match against each other. Zippy won the match with a dirty rollup, and proclaimed a win is a win. Ever since, the two have faced off in tag matches, and even participated in their own version of the Beat the Clock challenge when they faced Pelton and Pryde, indicating whoever lasted longer was the winner. Zippy’s always been one step ahead of the frustrated Sale, but will this trend hold as the year continues? The scariest thing happening with the roster though is the slow alliance being built between Hammer Hadley and James Diaz. The two were paired together at an early RPW Duos show, and hae slowly gelled more and more, even coming down to ringside for the others’ singles matches. The biggest of these being James Diaz picking up a singles win over Bob Casey. With the first quarter done, RPW looks to be stable at the time, and a proud new fixture of the small-time independent scene of the Great Lakes region. They recently have indicated they are looking to bring in more talent for future shows. We’re excited to see what ground they cover in the future.
  12. I'm calling this a Pseudo RTG because I'm not following the rules exactly. The only difference, so far, is that my User Character, Adrian Sale, started with the following Attributes - Better as Babyface - Plays Weasely/Underdog Well - Plays Realistic Well - Can't Play Dominant - Can't Play Badass. I know this disqualifies me from any official RTG challenges, but whatever, I wanted to have fun. I also used the random generation rules with the Brawler option selected. I revived Rapid Pro Wrestling and moved it to the Great Lakes region, with the product labelled "Blooming Entertainment", a type of Classic Sports Entertainment. I followed traditional 0/0/0/1000 rules for creation. Another difference is that I started as the owner of the company, as I intend to make this a RTG + Insignificant to As Far As I Can Take It. The format for this diary is going to evolve as the company evolves. Since RPW is so small, they send out Quarterly Programs via email to their fans. That's the form the journal will take for some time. As I gain more shows, I may switch to a monthly format but I don't plan on doing lots of detailed match report type things. Mainly touching base with the product as it progresses. The first entry is below. ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== RPW - Promotional Program Vol. 1 Rapid Pro Wrestling (RPW) launched this year out of the Great Lakes region under the ownership of Adrian Sale. Sale, 18, was looking to break into wrestling industry himself, had started Rapid Pro Wrestling after saving up a thousand dollars. Shortly after it’s founding though, he had received a call from Preston Holt, the owner of the original Rapid Pro Wrestling, that participated in the infamous East Coast Wars. Initially, Holt was going to inform the upstart that the name had been taken, but hearing Sale speak with such passion, he helped by blessing him with usage of the name, imaging, and if the promotion grows, the usage of the company’s title lineage, in exchange for a major stake in the company, if it met financial targets. So far, the newborn RPW has had a strong start to their first quarter. They have run a total of 5 shows through the end of March 2020, each gaining them more and more fans. Their Sports Entertainment product is drawing in fans who like bold characters and a variety of performers, though their lack of a budget hinders them at this time. Their roster currently consists of a few veterans of the North American independent wrestling scene, as well a few bright up and comers in the industry. Longtime veteran Hardcore Killah keeps a hand on the rudder backstage, acting as the Road Agent for the startup. While Killah doesn’t perform in the ring, he is joined by longtime veterans Lazy Joe, who was on the first ever RPW Live event, and Bob Casey, who signed on in February after a single night appearance went well for him and the promotion. Joining them on the roster are Kip Keenan, who has cut his teeth down in the Caribbean with FREEDOM Caribbean Wrestling and is shaping up to be a good all-round talent. He made his debut on the last show of March, RPW Duos 2, the company’s tag match centered show. Along with the 33 year old Keenan, RPW employes Austin Smooth, 25, who has started to blossom into a fine performer on the indies, and may be destined for greener pastures in the future, and Hammer Hadley, 21, the freak athlete who just after 2 years on the scene is starting to make a name for himself. Then the roster sports five rookies in Adrian Sale, Pepper Pelton, “Prime Time” Jack Pryde (currently managed by the lovely February Malaise), Zippy Deverell, and James Diaz, the son of Raymond Diaz, who terrorized promotions around the world. We are excited to see what bright futures these young men have in store.
  13. I wonder if Menace and Sex Appeal get relegated to Attributes in a future game release as subsets of Charisma instead of their own stats. Get tiers like "Imposing" for a small bump to Menace angles to "Downright Monstrous" for bigger bonuses. In this hypothetical you would keep Menace and Sex Appeal angles but not as skills with direct numbers. They'd be modified charisma.
  14. Kind of a late post, but something about character creation for this game seems ripe for poaching like, Shadowrun's character building. The way they do it is you have a bunch of build points, and you spend them on your attributes, naturally, but you can also opt to spend points on the equivalent of Attributes for other, non-standard perks. If a table could be made, you could still keep Prodigy and other traits, in exchange for tanking your base skills. It'd be more work to assign a point value to each Attribute, but it may be a way for a starting character to have something special, if they're willing to sacrifice some of their stats for it.
  15. I like working down card myself. I like low stakes so I can mess around in less serious space. The main event should carry some gravitas, which I have trouble with
