  6. I've just spent the last few days reading through the three DIW diaries and I love it. It's introduced me to a bunch of new characters and has created a deep lore within your world. I'm always impressed by your callbacks and ability to stay focused on long-term storytelling. You're very consistent and I look forward to more! I'm still trying to decide the one who will take down Mattell will be, as you've set up multiple options really.

  7. I know this is coming to an end soon but just wanted to pop in and say it's great. I love the league style format, personally.

I'm routing for Angus McCloud to win this season. I think maybe Chris Alpha loses, his performances haven't been up to the quality of the rest, unless Maynard signed elsewhere. I hope de Sota wins, his performances are on the up and Wright is nothing special, really.

Great work, looking forward to seeing this through to the end.

  8. I've spent the last few days reading this and the 1992 season and it's amazing!

The graphics are amazing and it's a very unique way of telling a story. I love the behind the scenes stories, especially Bischoff going increasingly egotistical day-by-day. I would love to see someone different people pop up, or pop back up in Heyman's case, more in those parts but love how you do it either way.

Honestly, looking forward to seeing how this season ends and what happens going in to a new season, and how things shape up.

Also, condolences regarding what happened in your personal life.

  9. First timing commenting in a while but I've been keeping up with it the whole time.

I love this style of writing and it fits PGHW's style perfectly, imo. I'm a big Gilmore fan but it'll be interesting to see if he copes well in the Elite Series, or if his body will let him down. Maybe after the ring rust has disappeared a bit, he will be ok.

Looking forward to seeing you mould the next generation of PGHW Japanese talent! Kawashima can't be the Ace forever!

  10. Wouldn't have expected Masuno's best match yet to be against Sanda, but I'm glad he had a better match!

Bringing in one-offs for 'dream matches' like Pablo Rodriguez is a great thing to do on occasion.

Interesting, I'm glad Mutant gets some more time to show out, especially now he is in a stable too.

    I really enjoy these write-ups!!

  11. Ahh no, that's a shame about Muruyama! I always used to like using him as he was a bit different than the rest of the roster!

Interesting to see KitoGuchi win, but the two losses should lead to a couple of interesting title defences soon at least.

Hopefully we go long enough into this to see what kind of future Mutant has with PGHW!

  12. I love this!

I think, if done right like this, monthly recaps are such a good and easy read and PGHW is the perfect company to do it with!

Putting the belt on Mason is surprising but I like how you're telling a story with it both in wrestling and out. Maybe he has a bit of an EVIL style title reign, only to be sent back down the card again soon. Or, he pulls magic out of the bag somehow!

I'm hoping you can find some more guys to fill your roster out again, losing so many to BHOTWG. Eddie Howard is a nice gaijin pickup!

Current Champion: Diego Arteta #2 23-1 (7 Defences V Jack Humphreys, Evan Gardner x2, Nathan Chambers, Garth Neill, Truck Gleeson & Fukusaburu Hirano)

Arteta is probably my most dominant champion right now, besides maybe Banner, and has finished everyone in all eight of his title matches in this reign!

    Previous Featherweight Champions:

    • Jason Dalglish (0 Defences)
    • Rafael Tavares (1 Defence V Marco Bernacci)

  18. <p>I've just finished booking my first show. I don't want to overcrowd the events so I kept it to 6 matches on the main show (I have 3 more matches on the pre-show because it's my first show and I wanted to gauge where everyone is, performance wise, before I go to having less workers on future shows).</p><p> </p><p> The main thing I have found so far is I like to have my Main Title be defended in longer matches but, as Steve Flash, I am constantly prompting myself that Brutus can't handle longer matches. I like Brutus and planned to keep him as champion but if that causes an issue, I may have to take the belt off of him sooner rather than later. I don't want it to transition to William again, just yet, so I need to find another heel who can step up instead.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="GreenDemon" data-cite="GreenDemon" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48567" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I like the roster size, characters, and company style. The one guy I’m struggling with creatively is Super Massive Destroyer.</div></blockquote><p> I am quite intrigued by Destroyer. I think he is going to be a project of mine as he is so different. I'll be patient with him though.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jaded" data-cite="Jaded" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48567" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Fairly sure there wasn't one; thanks for starting this! I really like NYCW generally and definitely want to give them a go at some point soon.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think I like them because I feel less pressure with them. It's old school, simple booking and, due to the product, I don't feel a lot of pressure to grow them too fast. It's fun to try and find guys that I think best suit their style.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Clarity" data-cite="Clarity" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48567" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I've always had a spot for NYCW. <p> </p><p> I ran it briefly in TEW13 (my last proper go through TEW) and have a save now with them.</p><p> </p><p> I take my time, look and see if there are any chemistry between workers. Spoilers for a future entry in my diary but there is a Tag Team with poor chemistry right now that need to be concerned about their jobs</p><p> </p><p> I've yet to break out a spreadsheet but I know what I want. I'm going to create a list of NYCW wrestlers going down and across, and when they've faced off, record their rating</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I haven't actually added that in my spreadsheet, not directly anyway. I'll be keeping track of all chemistry in a table, tag team and opponents, and I'll be recording match ratings on another sheet, so I suppose I can just check there.</p>
  19. <p>I could not find a thread already for NYCW so hopefully there isn't one, but feel free to close this if there is.</p><p> </p><p>

This is just a thread to discuss NYCW as a company and what you guys think of them, what you've done with them etc.</p><p> </p><p>

After spending a week or so looking around the CV, and getting a bit overwhelmed with the idea of where to start, I have finally settled on NYCW as my first game.</p><p> </p><p>

I figured they are quite low maintenance and easier to get in to, in my brain, due to simple booking. I've decided not to hire anyone new, as the roster is already oversized, and am looking at who I can cut after my first couple of shows (Looking at you, Devastating Don).</p><p> </p><p>

I've spent some time setting up a spreadsheet, the first time I've ever done that, so hopefully that will come of use as I go in to my first event soon.</p>
