  1. Y2J debuting on Monday Night RAW in 1999. Still gives me goosebumps up to this day.
  2. <p>Hi, I have a short question about tv shows and events:</p><p> </p><p> Is there any difference between running a tv show on a commercial broadcaster and running a weekly event on a commercial broadcaster?</p><p> </p><p> If I understand correctly, events have larger audiences than tv shows, so wouldn't it be the better option?</p>
  3. JCP May 1988 NWA World Heavyweight - Ric Flair NWA United States Heavyweight - Barry Windham NWA World Junior Heavyweight - Mike Graham NWA World Television - Dusty Rhodes NWA United States Tag Team - Sting & Curt Hennig NWA World Tag Team - Rock 'N Roll Express
  4. <p>4 weeks before Starrcade 87, I'm really hyped since it's the very first time I get a long-time save running and I'm still enjoying the game.</p><p> </p><p> My card for Starrcade 87:</p><p> </p><p> Arn Anderson © vs. Barry Windham for the US Heavyweight title</p><p> Luger & Blanchard vs. Sting & Curt Hennig</p><p> Rick Rude vs. Bull Fernandez in a Last Man Standing match</p><p> The Fantastics vs. The Powers of Pain</p><p> The Garvin Brothers vs. The New Breed</p><p> The Midnight Express vs. The Fabulous Freebirds for the US Tag titles</p><p> Rock 'N Roll Express vs. North-South Connection for the World Tag titles</p><p> Dusty Rhodes vs. Ric Flair in a Steel Cage match for the World title.</p><p> </p><p> The stipulations for the main event are that no member of The Horsemen may get involved and if Dusty loses, he may not challenge Flair for the title again.</p>
  5. Caleb Konleys birth year is actually 1983
  6. <p>I just read an interview with Braun Strowman where he talked about what a great performer Roman Reigns is, and that he is one of the best in the world and stuff.</p><p> </p><p> Imagine Randy Savage, King Kong Bundy, Sgt. Slaughter or Bobby Heenan talking about Hulk Hogan that way in the 80s. </p><p> </p><p> He also said heels and faces don't matter anymore, it's just about "megastars" like him and Roman going out there doing something and the fans cheer for it.</p><p> </p><p> Damn, wrestling today sucks. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  7. Will workers with a gimmicky gimmick get penalised for being "over-exposed in lengthy matches" if only used as a manager?
  8. <p>Here's another one:</p><p> </p><p> <a href="https://www.sendspace.com/file/p5l5yo" rel="external nofollow">https://www.sendspace.com/file/p5l5yo</a></p>
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Captain Kayfabe" data-cite="Captain Kayfabe" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Has anyone effectively booked a large company (preferably a C-Verse game) similar to 1980's WWF? What I mean by that, is just squash matches against openers/enhancement and promos during TV, while keeping the "superstars" apart until PPV's? I assume that it's possible, as I have scored pretty good match grades using main eventers or upper mids vs those lower card guys once they have decent popularity and momentum built up.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I had a save game with WWF in the Golden Age mod where I booked it similar to how it was booked back then, only squash matches on TV or sometimes a Main Eventer vs. Midcarder match. It went pretty good and was quite easy to book.</p><p> As WWF has only two B shows in this mod there were also no pop losses.</p>
  10. Yap, I understood when you first mentioned it, I just answered to moon_lit_tears.

Talking, writing, reading, exercising, and yes even venting online can be just as good as preofssional people listening to you.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Seeing a professional isn't meant as a therapy but as a first step to get out of the downward spiral.</p>

Very little sign of any hope. I am trying to focus on things I enjoy but it does little to help me.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You should see a psychologist. Watching videos on youtube and writing in forums won't help you.</p>

I don't know enough of territories in order to keep it somewhat realistic and notjust splurge and build a super roster. </p><p> </p><p> I could either go as WWWF where pretty much anything goes, good wrestling but a focus on entertainment and characters. Easier to bring in anyone I want without it taking away immersion . They are however amongst the top promotion and not much to build on. </p><p> </p><p> Or I've thought about going with a NWA territory and trying to build the territory up, however to keep it somewhat real I'd need to know which guys where the main guys, which guys I could sign that would fit the promotion. I like the Look of St Louis Wrestling Club. They seem to prefer solid technical wrestling but I don't know what else? and in what direction I should take them?</p><p> </p><p> I started a new company in the UK, with the hope of starting with the UK guys and slowly introducing more Americans, perhaps joining NWA. When I reach National change the name to somthing more international and bring in more foriegners to counter the lack of new UK stars going into the 80's. But somthing is always a drawback from continuing.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I spent a lot of time with this mod, it's fun to play because there's no big national company (though WWWF is already at cult size) and it's difficult to build pop in other territories because you get no big tv or ppv deals.</p><p> </p><p> I did a lot of research, a good source is kayfabememories.com where you can read the history of each territory.</p><p> </p><p> If you play an NWA affiliate you can hire every wrestler who is part of the NWA as there was a lot of rotation back then. So there are not many restrictions other than the product of the company. </p><p> </p><p> St. Louis has signed Dory Funk Jr. already, so the NWA World Heavyweight champion would be part of your roster. Let your other top stars fight him, bring in the top stars of other territories to challenge Funk, that's it.</p><p> </p><p> Territory Daze has also great worker biographies, sometimes I spent hours reading them instead of actually playing the game, so you can get a lot of information from there, too.</p>
  14. Yes, use them together in angles. The workers' Charisma, Mic and Acting skills will improve, even if he's not rated on entertainment skills in the angle.
