  1. I'd say that any fan of a team from out of their local area is going to be on the fairweather side. Like was said earlier, true fairweather teams are the ones that lose a massive part of their fanbase when they're not winning, like the Chargers and Cardinals.

There are plenty of guys who can carry an entertainment segment for Morgan. I've always found that growing Entertainment skills is easier than growing top row so I would prefer guys like Morgan who can grow into better entertainment skills by working with the guys at the top of the SWF card.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Morgan is in a permanent annoyed state in my game, dropping down to the step below every once I. A while. Not only that, but he's got negative relationships with half of my locker room since I spent so long creating positive relationships with my young guys.</p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately, he's evolved into one of the greatest workers in the world. His performance stats are almost all in the 90s and he's turned into the best talker in the company. I don't want to keep, but I HAVE to, what with SOTBPW creeping up on me in national battles. </p><p> </p><p> Luckily I've almost got enough money to create a worldwide network when my current deals are up and I'll be able to create some distance with international stars.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: Minnesota's entertainment skills are 99, 97, and 91...</p><p> </p><p> I'm just thankful that he's not even in my top 5 for SQ, the cancer he is.</p>

Maybe outside of the state of Texas where I know they're popular, but in Texas if you like football you either love the Cowboys, Texans, or Titans (due to the Oilers thing) and you don't stop.</p><p> </p><p> Everyone I know that's a fan, from Dallas down to Corpus, is a fan no matter what, and would still be a fan even if (god forbid) Mark Sanchez was under center for a full season. I mean, that's basically what we had last year when we started every free agent career backup available.</p><p> </p><p> Point is, we're not fairweather fans! If that were the case, the franchise wouldn't stay the most popular through years like last year. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  4. Day 2 was indeed excellent. No idea if it's true, but I've heard that all 16 men have been signed to one year deals that allow them to still work indy shows. There's definitely some jobbers in there, but many of them are great pickups.
  5. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="KidFantastic" data-cite="KidFantastic" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="28397" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Anyone here playing Stardew Valley? I seriously keep pushing on just thinking I'll play only one more day.</p>
  6. <p>For monster teams, Death Knell is one of my favorites. Currently I've got Hellion and Scythe working with it.</p><p> </p><p> For a heel stable, I've been using DD# in my current game, standing for Damn Dirty ____. However many guys you have you can just replace the number at the end. I started with DD4, consisting of Wolf Hawkins, Eric Eisen, Casey Valentine, and Xavi Ferrara, moved to DD5 when I brought in Antonio Marquez, and I'm back to DD4 now that they've given Wolf the boot.</p>
  7. Smackdown was good, but I feel like they made a major character misstep in the women's angle. Bayley participating in the mugging of Nikki made no sense for her. She's the Uber face. She'll fight back if attacked, but she shouldn't jump someone like that.
  8. <p>Just pulled the trigger on my main event angle for Supreme Challenge 38.</p><p> </p><p> My main heel stable, DD4 (Damn Dirty Four, consisting of Wolf Hawkins, Eric Eisen, Casey Valentine, and Xavi Ferrara) ran roughshod over the company. I managed to steel Champagne Lover, fresh off of a movie and becoming the most over wrestler ever, and slid him as well, making DD5. There's been strife between Lover and Hawkins, the champ, made worse when Lover won my Master of Puppets tournament to earn a shot at the belt at Supreme Challenge.</p><p> </p><p> I had an elimination 5-man tag the month before SC with DD5 coming out on top. After the match, DD5 gave Hawkins the boot. I'm gonna keep Hawkins heel until after he loses the belt, when he'll feud with his former stablemates.</p><p> </p><p> Meanwhile, Mikey Lau won a MitB type match that guarantees him a title shot anytime in the year. He just beat Joey Morgan to keep it, and I'm going to have him cash it in at SC and win the belt, so I can get it on my new figurehead and have a face champ for the first time in a looooong time.</p>
  9. http://i.imgur.com/7YQMrqo.png Nick Booth is hard at work turning my entire locker room against Joey Minnesota. Honestly, I don't even mind too much. I've been depushing him pretty hard since I haven't been able to keep his morale in check since I turned him heel TWO FREAKIN YEARS AGO. I'm probably gonna spend the next year or so jobbing him out, and when he asks for his release, I'm gonna hold onto him so no one else can use him. Still got a year and eight months left on his contract.
  10. The jobbers are there simply because they've divided the roster. There's a smaller roster on each show, so they've got to protect the guys they have a bit more. I've actually run into that after doing my own brand split in TEW. My roster went from being massive enough that I didn't have to worry about guys being seen jobbing every week to just that. Hiring local jobbers was the best way to avoid that and build those previous jobbers up a bit.
  11. Is there anyway to influence whether someone tones up, gets flabby, or so on? I made a gamble and asked Amazing Fire Fly to go up to lightweight in hopes that his SQ would increase (not a huge gamble, since he's likely to always just be a tag wrestler in my game) and he ended up coming out the other end flabby. I've had other guys in my game change body type (like Kirk Jameson, who now has a SQ of 100 just by going muscular), and I was wondering if there was any way to kind of nudge of them tone up. Would the get into shape option for development help, or is that just for stamina?
  12. Just saw Divinity Divine Origins 2 is early access on steam. The first one is fantastic, and this enough motivation for me to finally go back and finish it out.
  13. Kotor speaking Japanese isn't an issue so long as you can find another worker that does as well. He should pick up English pretty fast.
  14. Two signings I would suggest are Seth Whitehead and Gidayu Kitou. Both are cheap, very much in line with MAW's product, and are relatively talented enough to be built into something. Also, you can net Christopher Ball about a month in. He's not very good yet, but he can develop and you can get him extremely cheap to fill in as a face jobber.

This and NXT make the network worth it.</p>
  17. <p>Just remember, you don't have to run a show every month. If you take a month off, you'll make back a decent chunk of change. I'm neurotic about being in debt, so I usually only run a show every other month my first year and I come out in a good financial position.</p><p> </p><p> Another advantage of this is that you fill the game world out with fresh debuts a lot quicker. These guys are very likely to have 0 popularity, and you can fill you roster out with them for much, much less than $200 a worker. Just remember to not cover travel expenses.</p>
  18. <p>Up to 2022 in my RtG game, and USPW is an absolute juggernaut. I filtered their roster to show everyone that's at least a draw, and this is what came out. What's more, this is what accounts for a midcarder in this AI run promotion. I've seen it in user games before, but never this much with the AI. Hell, they've got a Robbie Retro with a minimum performance skill score of 88 here. They're gonna be tough to take down if I ever finish this game out. </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/sGnv5T8.jpg</span></p>
  19. He works great as a heel, but he's worked so well as a face in NXT that I'm afraid they won't pull the trigger on reuniting him with the Bullet Club on the main roster.
  20. <p>Cody Lane and GDW continued their upward trajectory in 2021. Ending the year with a nearly sold out show in The Sweat Box and $75,000 in the bank, the company has reached impressive heights as the 25th ranked company in the world. Admittedly, many promotions have closed their doors since GDW came on the scene, but it's impressive nonetheless. </p><p> </p><p> Nick Booth continued his impressive title reign through most of the year, losing it the vengeful angel known only as Scythe come August. Scythe was able to hold the belt until December, when he lost the belt in a fatal fourway match to Cody Lane himself. With that win, Lane became the first ever two-time champion in GDW, and Scythe departed the company on an exclusive PPA deal with GSW, who are just total jerks when it comes to contracts.</p><p> </p><p> Intent on keeping the belt, Lane buckled down over the holiday season and literally tightened up his submission game.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">2016 Summary</span></strong></p><p> <strong>Best Match: </strong>Cody Lane & Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Christopher Ball and Robin DaLay, 37</p><p> <strong>End of Year Perk:</strong> "A Link to the Past," +5 Chain Wrestling Skill</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">2017 Summary</span></strong></p><p> <strong>Best Match:</strong> Seth Whitehead defeated Cody Lane, 40</p><p> <strong>End of Year Perk:</strong> “So, Tell Me About Your Mother…” +5 to Psychology</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">2018 Summary</span></strong></p><p> <strong>Best Match:</strong> American Elemental II & Cody Lane defeated Vic Hernandez & Jules Night, 48 </p><p> <strong>End of Year Perk: </strong>“Flash, AAAHH!!” +5 Flashiness</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>2019 Summary</strong></span></p><p> <strong>Best Match:</strong> American Elemental II defeated Cody Lane and Vic Hernandez for the GDW Championship, 61 </p><p> <strong>End of Year Perk:</strong> “Say Your Prayers, Drink Your Milk And Take Your Vitamins,” +34 to Wholesome Gimmicks</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">2020 Summary</span></strong></p><p> <strong>Best Match: </strong>Cody Lane defeated James Diaz, 68</p><p> <strong>End of Year Perk: </strong>“So, Tell Me About Your Mother…” +5 Psychology</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">2021 Summary</span></strong></p><p> <strong>Best Match:</strong> Nick Booth and Victor Hernandez defeated Cody Lane and American Elemental II</p><p> <strong>End of Year Perk:</strong> “Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, OWWWW!” +5 Submission Skill</p>
  21. The big issue is that so many people are foregoing cable television entirely. Ratings are down for everything across the board. Raw rating are down big time, but they're still among the top on Monday nights.
  22. This is the best MitB buildup in a long time. Everyone in the match hates everyone else in the match, and they're doing a good job of building it up as a real 6 man feud. Most of the time it usually comes down to a few multiman matches, two or three one on one matches, and a bunch of singular rivalries culminating in a debate or something on the go home show.
  23. <p>So I've noticed in my RTG game that GSW is signing a lot guys to exclusive PPA contracts. This either never before, or I've never really had guys they've been interested in, but I'm wondering if a company can develop this type of signing habit? </p><p> </p><p> Other than gaining Cherry Bomb as booker, nothing's changed for them, and I have no existing relationship with them. I am, however, part of the COTT alliance which they are not.</p>
  24. The one thing I get annoyed at by Owens, and I think it was actually Bret Hart that pointed it out, is when he limps out to the ring after a brutal match, and performs without a hint of a leg injury. It's a cool touch that always gets kind of nullified by not performing with it after.
  25. So I just checked the COTT title history in my road to glory game, and Charlie Thatcher is the current champ. The problem is that he won it while working for NYCW, but hasn't been employed anywhere in over 8 months. Despite this, he's still defending the belt just about every month. How is this possible?
