  1. I planned on doing a post about my involvement with this challenge far earlier but got so invested in my save that I looked up and I was suddenly a week away from Year 3 and I realized that I was going to have a lot to catch up on. My first attempt resulted in failure with the company going bust but it proved to be a great learning curve for me and a good tester for what worked with the company. My wrestler is called Johnny Twilight and while he's not the owner of the company (that is Marco Gonzales) the company is called Twilight Pro Wrestling. In my first run through I made the mistake of not getting my popularity up quick enough. I would take a month off between shows to regen money when I should've been doing weekly shows to get my sponsorship up before levelling things out. The 2nd mistake I made was thinking too small with the wrestlers. While I do want to build up young wrestlers around me, I was focusing too much on guys like Zippy DeVerell and The Silencer as my main talent when for the same price I could get Fro Sure, Davis Wayne Newton, Remmy Skye etc. Thus ensued attempt 2, same company and same wrestler. I took onboard my failures from last time and did weekly shows and with 3 matches a card I kept my roster fresh while building up my character and where I wanted to go. My main event scene from the off was immediately focused upon 3 people and that's the 3 I mentioned above: Fro Sure, Davis Wayne Newton and Remmy Skye. They drove the first year forward and once we started making profit I reached out for other guys to bring in such as the Puerto Rican Boys, The Italian Americans and La Estrella. Davis Wayne Newton was our first dastardly champion and he held that title for over a year and a half before he dropped it to Fro Sure who as of typing is still the champ. My midcard was built a lot around a slowly developing tag division, led forward by the team of Johnny Twilight and Marco Gonzales (yes the owner and booker are multi time champs lol, we carny here). Being in a tag team I think works for me for now to build my skills up and Gonzales works as a good partner to build up stats with as I've always wanted to use him well. They are currently in their 2nd reign as tag champs after winning them back from the Puerto Rican Boys at our first ever "Wrestlemania-Style show" in October. My first roll was for a 50 rated show as Fro Sure and Davis Wayne are money and I rolled a 20 which got me straight Edge and I was buzzed about, incredibly lucky roll to start with My 2nd roll was for a 50 rated match as a fatal 4 way TPW title match against Davis Wayne, Fro and Remmy Skye got us a 51 rating. For that roll I rolled 54 for Internet Sensation which was used on Tony DeWonderful, someone I consider a bit of a pet project in this save. My 3rd and final roll so far was for the 1st year rolling over and I rolled 35, you can dance if you wanna which was another really lucky roll. Idk if I need to post much more like company product or stuff but that's how we're looking as we head into the 3rd year and Im loving this so far

He became the first ever champion to win the tournament after defeating Christopher Ball, Josh Jacobs and Matt Blackburn to reach the finals. Breakout Tournament- Jose Caballero, won November 2031 (moved here permanently now) after defeating Reilly Patton, Phil Anders and then Leon Maine in the final.
  4. For me it usually ends up being a member of a tag team that's not the one I end up pushing. So I'll bring in a tag team like The Puerto Rican Boys or Devil May Care and after a few years in the tag division I'll want to push my favourites (Acid II/Apollo). This leads to the split of the team in some way and them going their own ways and while one thrives, the other tends to middle out in the Midcard. Sometimes they end up in another team or sometimes they end up losing a bunch until they eventually leave. Stuntman was the worst for it in my current save as I split them up and he would get annoyed at every loss, even if it was to someone on an even popularity field. He ended up actually being useful in the end but he always finds some way to annoy me.
  5. Mid Atlantic Wrestling, November 2031, Post Where it All Begins Again Mid Atlantic Championship-Christopher Ball, 337 days, 7 defences, last defence was at Where it all Begins Again against Nehemiah Loynes. MAW American Title-Spencer Edmund (2x), 3 days, 0 defences, defeated Spencer Edmund (503 days, 7 defences) at Where it All Begins Again to win a best of 5 series, 3-2, to become the new American champion. MAW Tag Titles-The Wild West (2x), 3 days, 0 defences, defeated D.I.B (3 defences) at Where it All Begins Again to win back their titles. MAW Women's Title-Nami Genda (2x), 3 days, 0 defences, defeated Charity Sweet (1 defence) and Lynn Moore in a triple threat match to win back her title. Charity Sweet had won the title at The Battle of the Mid Atlantic against Genda and her only defence was against Olava Lida at The Clash. Sam Keith Classic-The Wild West, defeated The Mission, The True Caballeros (Felipe and Jose Caballero) and then Christopher Ball and Matt Blackburn in the final to win the tournament.
  6. Mid Atlantic Wrestling, June 2031, Post Fan Festival. Mid Atlantic Championship-Christopher Ball, 223 days, 5 defences, Last defence was against War Piece at Fan Festival. MAW American Title-Spencer Edmund, 393 days, 7 defences, Last defence was a double DQ against Eureka LaBelle at Old School Rules. Is now in a best-of-5 series with LaBelle so there will be no defences until WIABA. MAW Tag Titles-D.I.B (Bryan Jewett and Hans Piccard), 29 days, 1 defence, defeated The Wild West, Big and Lytlle and Caballero/Mr Lucha III in a fatal 4 way at Old School Rules to become champions. Last defence was against Big and Lytlle at Fan Festival MAW Women's Title-Nami Genda, 223 days, 3 defences, last defence was against Zofia Jankovic at Old School Rules. COTT World Heavyweight Title-Christopher Ball, 29 days, 3 defences, defeated Frankie Perez in a title vs title match at Old School Rules to become Double Champion
  7. I've had two saves go over 10 years so I have a few from both. Nate DeMarcus-Love the guy, both as a tag wrestler and as a dominating heel main champion. Really fits the MAW style and I love using him every time I do a C-Verse save Frankie Perez-With my first save being CZCW I developed a love for Frankie Perez and was gutted to lose him in that save to a written deal. So when I started a new save with MAW I knew at some point I needed to bring him in and while he's mostly been used as a gatekeeper over two spells for me (He signed with Burning Hammer for 2 years) he's such a great asset. Plus he loves taking wrestlers under his wing which is always useful. Matty Faith-Gutted I never got more time with Faith at MAW but the year and a half I was able to use him was fantastic. Probably the wrestler that left the biggest impression in such a short time for me. Motoyuki Miyake-He's simply a machine. Transitioned perfectly from a tag wrestler to a main event wrestler for me and his story was one of my favourites I did completely. Tigre Salvaje Jr-Pretty similar to Frankie, Tigre was the man I built CZCW off the back off and his four CZCW Title reigns and 2 COTT World Title reigns in 10 years solidified him as the most successful wrestler within that save. Sad I havent been able to use him at MAW but he was so perfect at CZCW I wouldnt want to ruin it
  8. I forgot to even mention the most important part of the year end. On the Night of the Champions show the main event was Christopher Ball retaining his MAW Title against Original Sinner. There was a running theme throughout the show with Commissioner Westybrook's opening promo being interrupted by a debuting Dawn Gemmell. She put the roster on notice and told everyone that this was the beginning of a new "Dawn" for MAW and that this show was where all the change began. She then proceeded to laud it around backstage, first confronting Emma Chase with D.I.B. and mocking them before later approaching Joyce Shearer and inviting her to join her. However, it was the end of the show that really shaped the new era. Following Chris Ball's victory he was joined in the ring by War Piece and Stuntman much in the similar vein to what happened at the end of Where it All Begins Again and they raised him up on their shoulders. However, the MAW Zone was shocked as the two quickly launched Ball across the ring and delivered a beatdown to the leader of their group. Dawn Gemmell made her way down to the ring to join them as the show went off air and the year ended in ultimate chaos...
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="merrykieran2" data-cite="merrykieran2" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47520" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Right so I got a bit carried away since my last update on this save and it's been about 9 months as I am now in the middle of June in 2030 </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Well, it happened again, I'm now in February 2031. I'm flying through this save literally faster than I keep updating which is cool because I love being this invested in the save 11 years in but also I love writing about the save and trying to concise an entire year into as short as possible an update proves fairly difficult. This is also my 2nd time writing this as I lost my earlier draft so if it's more rushed thats the issue. Here is the entirety of 2030 in review.</p><p> </p><p> The new decade kicked off in the same way that all Mid Atlantic years do with the Rip Chord Invitational and it very much centered around the two former allies in Bret Heartbreak and Original Sinner. The former MAW and COTT Tag team champions broke up at the Night of the Champions when Sinner hit his tag partner with a lariat. Starting on the opposite sides of the 16 man bracket they battled through everyone in their way to contest each other in the finals of the tournament. After Sinner dispatched of and Bret Heartbreak made it past the two met in the final and despite the best efforts of newfound fan favourite Bret Heartbreak, it was the dominant Original Sinner that won the first Rip Chord Invitational of the new decade.</p><p> </p><p> The main MAW Championship scene was an ever-changing one as the year progressed. As I made a rule that I could only keep Tommy Cornell Jr for the extent of his 3 year contract I had 10 months to tell the stories I wanted to tell with him and to use him to elevate my roster. After winning the title at Where it All Begins Again he once again found himself embroiled in a rivalry with Matt Blackburn, the former champion and a man he had met many times prior, and despite Blackburn having the edge in previous encounters he managed to retain the title at the Wrestling Classic. Now equal in times the two had won against each other Blackburn proposed that the next month the two have a final match once again for the title to which TCJ agreed. However this match would not take place as originally planned when the Rip Chord Invitational winner Original Sinner made his way to ringside before the match and announced he was cashing in his earned title opportunity to make it a triple threat match. In an incredible triple threat match it would be the Original Sinner that shocked the MAW World when he became the new champion. If many were worried that the dominant destroyer was going to run roughshod over the company they were surprisingly mistaken when in his 2nd defence (1st was against Stuntman) against Tommy Cornell Jr, Bret Heartbreak made his first appearance since the Rip Chord Invitational to distract sinner and TCJ took advantage to become a 2 time MAW Champion. Sinner made it his goal to end the career of Bret Heartbreak while TCJ walked into Where it All Begins Again as a departing MAW Champion.</p><p> </p><p> The main story this year revolved around one Christopher Ball. Following the departure of Motoyuki Miyake two years ago, Ball had taken on the leadership of The Knockout Project from his former tag partner but this year was the year that it all began to bubble over into almost a disaster. The year started with tension immediately as newest member War Piece clearly took umbrage to the leadership style of the former boxer. The two came to blows multiple times over the year starting at the Rip Chord Invitational when Ball tried to console War Piece following his loss to Original Sinner only for Piece to tell him that he didnt want to be part of his stupid group. He attempted to reconcile the next month and it looked to be working when the two defeated the Streetz Inc. duo of Paul DeVille and Scott "The Hammer" Hadley but after a tag title loss to The Masters of Money the duo got in a full on brawl and had to be seperated by the other members of The Knockout Project. In an attempt to blow off steam the two wrestled each other the next month with War Piece picking up the victory. It was around this time Chris Ball made it known that he and his wife Lucinda Lush were expecting and with him not getting any younger he was doing anything possible to secure the future for himself and his family. He also started doubting his own abilities and said he doesn't know if he fits with the younger attitude of MAW at the ripe age of 37. The month before the Sam Keith Classic, Chris Ball held a KO Project meeting and everyone laid out there issues and the group came together and all prior issues seemed to be resolved. However, the Sam Keith Classic blew everything up in the air once again. The KO Project entered two teams into the tournament (Edmund/Stuntman and Ball/Piece) and it just so happened that both teams made it too the finals and ended up facing off against each other with Edmund and Stuntman ending up victorious after Stuntman rolled up Chris Ball. Luckily all sides seemed to laugh it off together and raised the trophy as a unit but you could tell how much it hurt Ball. Also, this was Stuntman's third Sam Keith Classic win in 4 years and all with different tag partners (Kamikaze/Ball/Edmund). At the final show before Where it all begins again, there was a The Battle of the Mid Atlantic Battle Royal with the winner going to WIABA to face TCJ and after eliminating half the men in the 10 man match and eventually his alliance partner Stuntman it would be Christopher Ball that picked up the shocking win. At Where it all begins again it's fair to say we saw the cocky side of TCJ with him respecting Ball but saying that it was going to be a customary defence for him whereas Christopher was dedicating the match to his family and also to former Mid Atlantic Champion and his former tag partner Motoyuki Miyake. In further shocking fashion, Chris Ball put up one of the greatest performances in a MAW ring and defeated 'The Future King' to become the MAW Champion for the first time in his career.</p><p> </p><p> Luckily the situations with the American and Tag Team Titles is far less complex. We came into 2030 with Quentin Queen as the American Champion with Streetz as his manager and with Scott "The Hammer" Hadley and Paul DeVille as his bodyguards and he started the year off how he left the last: retaining his title by any means necessary. He defeated Spencer Edmund and Drew Danson in successful defences thanks to Streetz Inc. but Edmund was insistent on getting that title and after defeating Streetz Inc. in a tag match with Stuntman he had them banned from ringside for his rematch and The KO Artists youngest member became the new American Champion. Edmund quickly solidified his position as a future star for this company with the title reign which would continue throughout the entirety of 2030 and saw him successfully defend against the likes of Quentin Queen, Eureka LaBelle and Barron Royal. By the end of 2030 he had 5 successful defences and was heading into 2031 on a high. However, at Night of Champions he was laid out by a mystery assailant who wouldn't be revealed until the next month.</p><p> </p><p> The Tag Titles were in a similar situation where for the majority of the year there weren't any title changes with The Masters of Money (Eureka LaBelle and Nehemiah Loynes) coming into the year as champions and very nearly leaving it as well. They had a solid run throughout the year with defences against D.I.B., Chris Ball and War Piece and Stuntman/Spencer Edmund but their main storyline came against Notorious. Carlos Barrera and Miguel Rivera were released in the middle of the year by CZCW and turned out solid pickups for our tag division but they immediately gunned for the tag titles only for MoM to reject their challenges time and time again. First they asked Notorious to win the Sam Keith Classic before costing them the match with a DQ then they pulled them out of the ring for a number one contendership match until Comissioner Westybrook had to step in and make it official that at WIABA it would be Notorious vs Masters of Money for the titles but in surprising fashion it would be the tag champs that retained. On the same show, one Robin DaLay had a fantastic victory over Matt Blackburn after having a face turn a few months prior alongside his tag partner Ralph Liotta when The Wild West had enough of Blackburn's antics. Eureka LaBelle on the November show made the mistake of antagonizing the wrong man in Robin DaLay and on our final show of the year we would have new tag champions crowned and it would be The Wild West themselves.</p><p> </p><p> Finally, We established a women's division this year with the Breakout Tournament in March being used to introduce 8 women to the MAW Roster. That tournament was won by Talia Quinzel and the veteran proved her worth in the company with a dominant reign over all the lesser experienced women until she came face to face with the woman she met in the first final, Nami Genda, at Where it all begins again. Nami had been on a progression since the tournament with Streetz recruiting her and having her cheat to defeat the majority of the division before finally facing and defeating the champion. Now aligned with Streetz she is looking to rule over the women's division in a similar vein to how Talia Quinzel was able too. Building a womens division from scratch when 90% of the good talent is hard but I've dedicated myself too it now and I believe we'll get there.</p><p> </p><p> It was a pretty decent year for not losing half the roster tbf. The main losses were people we released ourselves (Nelson Callum, Fuego Fantastico and Jackpot Jordan) and we only lost a few names on written deals that I wasn't too annoyed to lose. Tommy Cornell Jr ended up in SWF with his dad and he was joined there by Taylor Norton. Bret Heartbreak signed with USPW and Quentin Queen left us to sign exclusively with NYCW. The only slight dissappointment was that a year ago I brought back Trix Triumph and was hoping to do something with him and make him a decent midcarder but as I started to push him he was signed by ACPW where he's mostly lost.</p>

  12. Right so I got a bit carried away since my last update on this save and it's been about 9 months as I am now in the middle of June in 2030 and an absolute ton has happened. This update will probably be split in two as I close out 2029 and then recap what's happened in 2030 so far. So last time out MAW had just devolved into a warzone with factions ruling the land and fighting for dominance in the company while Commissioner Westybrook could do nothing about it. Following the absolutely insane end to the Fan Festival PPV, faction warfare would be center stage to the Sam Keith Classic with all the 4 major stables in the company (Knockout Project, Rise of the Monsters, The Wild West and The Masters of Money) all throwing their best teams into the tournament to claim the first prize in this "war". The first surprise came in the opening match of the tournament as The Knockout Project (Stuntman and Chris Ball) were set to go head to head with Matt Blackburn and Fro Sure of The Rise of the Monsters. However, making his remarkable return from the movie industry, Austin Smooth would be reunited with his best friend Fro Sure and the Pure Vibes tag team were reunited. They would go on to continue Rise of the Monsters seeming dominance over the company by winning the tournament albeit provoking another team into engaging in the gang war when they cheated to win the final against The Wild West's duo of Ralph Liotta and Robin DaLay. The next month was The Battle of the Mid Atlantic and the show was dubbed the final Warzone as Commissioner Westybrook tried to end the ongoing chaos with a blockbuster 3vs3vs3 main event (If I could there would have been the 4th team of The Wild West in there as well). The main event saw The Knockout Project (represented by War Piece, Christopher Ball and Stuntman) face The Rise of the Monsters (Austin Smooth, Destroyer Logan Wolfsbaine and Bomber James Diaz) and also The Masters of Money (Nehemiah Loynes, Taylor Norton and Eureka LaBelle). So much of the focus on the match was on ROTM and KO Project with the two teams having three former MAW Champions between them and having been pivotal parts of the company for so long now so it came as an immense surprise when plucky youngster Nehemiah Loynes pinned Stuntman in the middle of the ring to win the "Faction Warfare match" following a chair shot to the head while Barron Royal had the referee distracted. The show also featured a bonanza tag match as The Wild West took on the remaining two members of The Rise of the Monsters in the COTT World Champion Fro Sure and the MAW Champion Matt Blackburn with ROTM being victorious. If Westybrook thought the Faction Warfare match would solve hostilities between the stables then he was sadly mistaken. The following month at The Clash the start of the show was once again tarnished by all the factions in the ring together resulting in a huge tag title match that saw Logan Wolfsbaine and James Diaz put their titles on the line against the Masters of Money, The Wild West and The KO Project in a fatal 4 way tag match. Once again much to the surprise of everyone it would be The Masters of Money who took advantage with Nehemiah Loynes once again proving himself an insanely talented deviant as this time he waited for James Diaz to hit his finisher on Ralph Liotta before throwing him out the ring and stealing the pin to claim the titles for himself and Eureka LaBelle. As you can probably tell, I'm high on this Nehemiah Loynes kid and he's delivering after giving him such a huge opportunity. Also on the card we had Fro Sure retain his COTT World Heavyweight Title against Ralph Liotta as well as a huge main event as Matt Blackburn defended his title successfully against the former champion War Piece inside a steel cage. This led in too one of the biggest and most chaotic Where it all begins again shows which was hyped with the tagline of "The Final Day..." as the Faction Warfare would either come to a culmination or it could ruin the company for good. The show started off with a faction rivalry match as longtime rivals Destroyer Logan Wolfsbaine and Christopher Ball went head-to-head one more time but unlike many of the previous encounters, it was Chris Ball who picked up the shock win as the leader of the KO Project got his group off to a fantastic start. Also on the card we had The Deadly Sinners become the new COTT Tag Team Champions (they lost them within a month), Quentin Queen defeated Garry the Entertainer to become the new American champion (Garry got signed one month later by NYCW) and Hans Piccard defeated Bryan Jewett in a strap match before his manager, Emma Chase, decided that he felt the two long time rivals could become a good team and order them to team up in the future. We had another fatal 4 way for the Tag Team Titles but this time the titles wouldnt change hands as Nehemiah and LaBelle successfully defended against James Diaz and Fro Sure, Kamikaze and Spencer Edmund and Ralph Liotta and Nelson Callum. Hollywood superstar had taken time out of his busy schedule to come down for the show again and he issued what he called the biggest open challenge in MAW history which was promptly answered by a fellow former MAW Champ in War Piece and the two had a banger of a match with War Piece prevailing. The shocking part came post match when Austin Smooth shook hands with War Piece, something he hadn't done since his face days over 4 years prior. The main event was a symphony of destruction and warfare as Matt Blackburn put his MAW Title on the line in a 5 way match against Robin DaLay, Stuntman, Taylor Norton and Tommy Cornell Jr. One representative of every faction was present in the main with the odd one out being TCJ who had history with Blackburn and maybe it was this lack of rivalry with the rest that saw him prevail and for the first time in his life reach the top of the mountain as he became the Mid Atlantic Champion. At The Proving Ground, Westybrook ensured that this warfare would go on no longer. He held a town hall meeting to start the show and told each and every one of the roster that if this behaviour were to continue then would fire everyone and build a new MAW Roster from scratch. This seemingly worked as the all out warfare did cool and everyone went back to their own unique rivalries. A few things of note on this show were Mr Lucha III debuting and accepting the open challenge of Fro Sure and taking his COTT World Title in shocking fashion, Quentin Queen retaining his American title against Garry the Entertainer thanks to the debut of Scott "The Hammer" Hadley and the debut of Hans Piccard and Bryan Jewett as a tag team, dubbed by Emma Chase as D.I.B (Do it better). The main thing of note on this show came in the semi main event as Rise of the Monsters (Diaz and Wolfsbaine) challenged to get their tag titles back against Nehemiah and Eureka LaBelle but were unsuccessful once again after Fro Sure seemingly distracted the referee at the wrong time and he missed an obvious three count from Diaz. Following the match the Monsters were fuming and they decided they'd had enough of this and beat the hell out of Fro Sure but quick to make the save for his best friend was Austin Smooth. He battled off his once long time allies and helped his friend back too his feet but it seems the faction of Rise of the Monsters was done! The final show of the year was a pretty monumental one with the main event being one of the most emotional matches in MAW History. Rise of the Monsters would take on their former friends and allies in Pure Vibes in a tag match that had years of history behind it. The main event was fantastic as you'd expect from the four but it was what followed the match (Pure Vibes won) that makes the moment so memorable. Following the match Wolfsbaine grabbed a microphone and said that for the last 10 years he and Diaz ran rough shot over everyone in MAW and held every title there was to hold but now their time was up and they were finally moving on. Austin Smooth then took the title and announced that this would also be the end of the road for Pure Vibes in MAW as the two were parting ways and heading on to pastures new as well. We then had our own curtain call as four pillars of Mid Atlantic Wrestling embraced in the ring before leaving together for the final time in MAW. The reality of the situation was that Wolfsbaine had signed to GSW 6 months earlier and James Diaz signed with Saisho just a few months after but I extended their contracts as I wanted to finish out their story my way. As for Pure Vibes, Austin was off to make movies again and I didn't see the need for him to come back again after as there was nothing more for him to achieve while Fro Sure didn't have the stamina to compete in matches longer than 15 minutes anymore so in MAW fashion he would be moving on to make way for the future of the company. I just love that I had these 4 for the past 10 years essentially and that they all were such incredible parts of what made this save so good. Final smaller things to take away from NOTC were that Robin DaLay and Stuntman did a Spanish Fly through a table following their match and also that The Deadly Sinners were no more after Original Sinner destroyed Bret Heartbreak after losing another tag title match. Both things would have major consequences for 2030...

  15. It's fair to say that in the last 6 months things have got slightly insane in the MAW Zone. War Piece winning the MAW Title at the Rip Chord Invitational has shaken up the entire roster and people that were in the midcard and happy in their place now feel they deserve to be in that main event picture. The main group here being The Masters of Money with War Piece having to go through Barron Royal and Eureka LaBelle in two of his first three defences. However, order would soon be restored when The Rise of The Monsters came calling back for their rightful title. After 4 successful title defences for War Piece he would come face to face with the most dominant man in MAW in recent years, Matt Blackburn. Blackburn was fresh off the back of a victory over "The Prodigy" Tommy Cornell Jr and was utulizing the brutal Hurt Lock to put everyone in his way to sleep and War Piece would be no different when at the Old School Rules show he defeated Piece and TCJ in a triple threat to become Champion for The Rise of the Monsters. The American title has gone through an interesting change in recent months. Nehemiah Loynes considered himself untouchable as the American champion following a victory over Al Coleman and thought he would receive no repercussions when he attacked his opponent of the night, Masatochi Kamimura, and decided he was going to take the night off. Commisioner Westybrook had other ideas however and announced Loynes would be defending the title tonight and he would be defending it against Garry The Entertainer who hadn't been seen in MAW in over a year following a bad injury. Nehemiah was caught out by this and in shocking fashion Garry became the new American champion. Garry has pledged that The Masters of Money will never have a hold on that title again after so long of holding that title hostage but will he be able to stick to that promise? The tag titles saw a similar situation to the MAW Title as The Knockout Project put in an incredible run of defences and were proving themselves as fantastic fighting champions. That was until they came face to face with The Rise of the Monsters (Logan Wolfsbaine and James Diaz) who were on a war path and the tag champs and the titles just happened to get in their way. At the same show as Matt Blackburn became champion, Diaz and Wolfsbaine would win the tag titles for the 3rd time in their career and reignited the war between Rise of the Monsters and The Knockout Project. After an unforgettable Old School Rules event, Fan Festival was the show where the MAW Environment became a warzone. The show opened with the Rise of the Monsters and the new MAW Champion Matt Blackburn who was quickly confronted by War Piece who wanted to claim his title back. Much to the shock of everyone present The Masters of Money soon joined in on the scene and Nehemiah Loynes claimed that since he took the American Title off War Piece then he deserves a chance at the main belt more than War Piece ever did. Rise of the Monsters left the ring with MoM beating down on War Piece which was cut short by The Knockout Project making the save. With the group being down a member following Miyake's departure from the company War Piece was invited to join the company by Stuntman but he was undecided. Later in the show Commissioner Westybrook announced that Blackburn's first defence in the main event of the show would be a triple threat match against War Piece and Nehemiah Loynes. The main event went off with interferences from all sides bar War Piece's but in the end Nehemiah was put in the Hurt Lock by Matt Blackburn and nobody has ever been able to escape and this would be no different. It was what ended the show that really put the world on notice when the roster blew up. Matt Blackburn was joined in the ring by The Rise of the Monsters but they weren't done as they put on a beatdown on War Piece. Much like the opening segment The Knockout Project would make the save and a huge brawl ensued until The Masters of Money helped Nehemiah to his feet and decided to join in the brawl. At this point there are nearly 15 men in the ring and it just gets worse as in runs Garry the Entertainer followed by the entire Wild West stable and we get a huge brawl between what is essentially the entire MAW Roster. The brawl goes through the crowd, goes backstage and continues long after the cameras have gone off air but it seems that Commissioner Westybrook has lost all control and faction warfare stands tall over this company now...

  17. Thank you, that means a lot. I'm not a diary person, I've tried in the past but it's never been my thing and I quickly get overwhelmed. That's why I just like to do detailed posts in here
  18. A few months later and things have shaken up again. After 7 years of developing him and pushing him as our main star, Motoyuki Miyake has finally signed an exclusive contract to leave us and join SAISHO. This caused a domino effect as he was currently the MAW Champion and while my original plan wasnt for him to have a lengthy reign with that belt, I still pushed around many plans and pushed a few newer names to the forefront. With him due to leave I decided I would use the Rip Chord Invitational to crown our new champion so after a successful title defence at the Night of the Champions, Miyake was powerbombed off the stage by Logan Wolfsbaine and due to his injuries he had to give up the title. The Rip Chord Invitational would be the crowning of a new ace. The main favourites coming in too the tournament were the duo of Bomber James Diaz and Destroyer Logan Wolfsbaine as well as Miyake's former partners Stuntman and Chris Ball but the man that walked out victorious and as the new MAW Champion was the former 2X American Champion: War Piece. The masked man had a miracle tournament that saw him defeat Fro Sure, Bomber James Diaz (insane shock win), his long-time rival Taylor Norton and then somehow in the final he defeated Logan Wolfsbaine to complete his incredible tournament. War Piece was always going to be MAW Champion for me at some point but I was super happy with making him essentially an overnight star with this tournament. The rest of the card has been relatively unchanged so far other than our new signing Hugh De Aske signing for TCW as well as his debut opponent Sione Tokoeka joining him in signing. The only other big story to update on is that Matt Blackburn caused a huge shock as the dominant superstar debuted a Hurt Lock submission finisher and punished Tommy Cornell Jr for months with it before finally defeating him in a match. Now he has his eyes set on the new MAW Champion who's already proven himself with a successful defence over Robin DaLay.
  19. Mid Atlantic Wrestling, February 2029 MAW Champion-War Piece, defeated Destroyer Logan Wolfsbaine in the final of the Rip Chord Invitational to win the vacant MAW Title. Former champion Motoyuki Miyake (2 defences) was forced to vacate title after being powerbombed off stage through tables by Logan Wolfsbaine MAW American-Nehemiah Loynes, 4 defences, Last defence was against Al Coleman at the Rip Chord Invitational night II. MAW Tag Titles-The Knockout Project, 2 defences, last defence was against The Deadly Sinners at the Rip Chord Invitational Night II. Rip Chord Invitational 2029-War Piece, see above
  20. Right so, I've just completed Where it All Begins Again 2028 and I think this year has turned out to be up there as one of my favourites of the save so far. Just everything has fallen into place well and the company now finds itself in a great place and ever improving. The main story of the past year has been the signing of one Tommy Cornell Jr. This goes against my rules of no Exclusive contracts but when he's available you just have too take that opportunity and where better for him to learn his trade than with the best developmental company in the world. Due to the developmental feel I want MAW to have and for breaking my own rules I have decided that I am only going to have TCJ on my roster for the extent of his current contract and then I will let him decide his destiny from there. I am also going to try to use him less so as my main champion as much (although he likely will get a reign) and more to help elevate the rest of the roster. The show after my last update was possibly my 2nd biggest show of the year with Americana. Due to the date and the way it lines up this show usually ends up being where a lot of feuds end or start up and this show was not different. The first major thing on the show happened in our opening match between Nelson Callum and Ralph Liotta against Robin DaLay and Bradley Blaze when Robin turned on his mentor to align himself with the duo. The two had been trying to recruit him for months but the plan was to have him stick by his mentors side until Brad Blaze signed an exclusive deal to join NYCW so I decided that a heel DaLay was the way to go. The group is now collectively known as The Wild West and they've spent the year in midcard feuds, most recently with The Ring Generals. This show also saw the first emergence of The Masters of Money, the stable consisting of Nehemiah Loynes, Taylor Norton, Barron Royal and Eureka LaBelle (American Champion). The second big turn of the show came in the semi main event following Prometheus' loss to Tommy Cornell Jr. The monster had failed to dispose of TCJ as per the orders of The Architect and it's fair to say that he was not happy. The Architect slapped Prometheus and superkicked him before realizing the huge mistake he'd made and he quickly ran away. The main reason for this was that Prometheus signed exclusively to IPW but it wouldn't mean much as The Architect got hired himself by TCW two months later. The main event of the show was possibly one of my favourite matches I've ever booked even if the rating (78) doesn't reflect it. In my previous post I talked about The Ri$e of the Mon$ters and The Knockout Project and this was their huge coming together in an insane 10 man elimination tag match. The Knockout Project consisted of Hawkeye Calhoun, Motoyuki Miyake, Christopher Ball, Stuntman and Kamikaze as they took on Austin Smooth, Logan Wolfsbaine, James Diaz, Fro Sure and the debuting Matt Blackburn who was a surprise debut. During the match Miyake would pick up an injury which altered my plans hugely as he was set to be out for an entire year. Thankfully surgery was able to lower it by a large amount but that definitely changed plans. In the end the debuting Matt Blackburn won it for his side and showed immediately he was a threat here in MAW. Since that show the main event scene has still really revolved around the two factions. Destroyer Logan was still MAW Champion and following the injury to Miyake the KO Project were out for revenge. One man that took the forefront and that really stepped up in the absence of Miyake was Stuntman who immediately on the next show not only challenged Austin Smooth to a match that night but also beat the former MAW Champion who would quit after the match and announce he's off to Hollywood. This opened the door for him and Christopher Ball to develop as a tag team and the duo won the Sam Keith Classic, something I was super happy with as I thought it would be cool to have one member from each of the last two teams that won that tournament now win the tournament together. Sadly they would lose their match for the tag titles as the team they beat in the Final (Fro Sure and Matt Blackburn cost them their match). This led to two singles matches at Where it all Begins Again with Matt Blackburn beating Chris Ball (huge upset) and Stuntman defeating Fro Sure. Meanwhile with the other two members of the group, Hawkeye Calhoun joined the list of people that left us when he signed an exclusive deal with NYCW and left Kamikaze without much to really do. That was until the Sam Keith Classic where on that night he had an excellent match with the debuting Spencer Edmund and immediately he took it upon himself to invite Edmund to join the Knockout Project. The two immediately former a great team from the off and shocked The Deadly Sinners by becoming tag team champions at Where it All Begins Again. Also on the WIABA show we again had War Piece in the wars with The Masters of Money over the American Title. He fought through the entire group to earn a rematch for his title and even then it was in a 6 man tag where he teamed alongside PyschoMike and Astro but he prevailed to become a two time champion just two months before the big show. After successfully defending against former champion Eureka LaBelle at The Clash he was jumped by Nehemiah Loynes who decided he was winning back the title for the group. What he didn't expect however was for War Piece to be saved by Masatochi Kamimura who had slowly been building himself up over the past 9 months of MAW and who earned his way into making the match a triple threat by making the save. In the end it worked too the benefit of Nehemiah and The Masters of Money as they used the NO DQ rules to their advantage and put War Piece through a table to take him out. This allowed Nehemiah to add the final blow by picking him, low blowing him with a kick and pinning him to win his first ever MAW Title. The final things of note on the show were the return of Al Coleman to team with The Ring Generals when they beat The Wild West and Hugh De Aske answering the open challenge of Sione Tokoeka. Both are veteran presences with good popularity that will help the young roster develop over the next two years.

  22. Another year has passed and I've now just completed March 2028 with Super Showdown being my latest event. My main story throughout 2027 resolved around Austin Smooth and Motoyuki Miyake. Austin went into 2027 as the MAW Champion, a thriving babyface who had defeated all the top heels in the company and was going well until he came up against the one man that could truly match him: Motoyuki Miyake. Miyake had won the Rip Chord Invitational for the 2nd year in a row and alongside Christopher Ball he became tag team champions for the 2nd time in March 2027, defeating James Diaz and Logan Wolfsbaine. The next month he would cash in his earned title shot but in shocking fashion Austin Smooth took advantage of a referee distraction to low blow Miyake. Austin dubbed himself "Big Money" Austin Smooth the next month and proceeded to go on an ego trip that saw him defeat Christopher Ball for the American Title and also win the Tag Titles from The KO Artists (with Christopher Ball). However he kept ducking the big title rematch with Miyake until he got pinned in a 6 man tag match and Commissioner Westybrook made it official for the main event of Where it all begins again. Austin threw everything at Miyake and even aligned himself with James Diaz and Logan Wolfsbaine (forming Ri$e of the Mon$ters). However, despite his best interests Miyake would prevail at Where it all begins again and ended the monstrous 728 day MAW Championship reign of Smooth. Following this Miyake's reign has been in a constant fight with Ri$e of the Mon$ters and their new addition of a returning Fro Sure who took lead of the group while Austin Smooth was AWOL after WIABA. However, Miyake was also boosted by a major development that saw a departing Nate DeMarcus unite his stable, The Chaos Project (Kamikaze, Hawkeye Calhoun and Stuntman), with their long time rivals turned allies in The Knockout Artists (Miyake and Chris Ball). They become a collective stable now known as The Knockout Project. Miyake successfully defended his title against Fro Sure at Night of the Champions and Sione Tokoeka at The Rip Chord Invitational to start his reign off strong. Speaking of the RCI, Logan Wolfsbaine would be the one to win the 2028 iteration of the tournament, defeating Miyake's tag partner and friend Christopher Ball in the final. This lead to the best match in Mid Atlantic history at The Wrestling Classic where Destroyer Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Motoyuki Miyake to become MAW Champion following the interference of a returning AUSTIN SMOOTH. The Ri$e of the Mon$ters now stand tall over the company and are set for all out war against The Knockout Project in a huge stable warfare. Elsewhere, in the midst of Austin Smooth's ego run he picked up the Tag Titles and the American title to be known as Austin-3-belts but Commisioner Westybrook decided with Austin unwilling to defend either title that both titles would be hereby vacated. The first of which was the American title as a huge 6 man elimination match at the Battle of the Mid Atlantic saw Taylor Norton become American champion. Norton has been one of my favourite people to book the last year and this was my way of rewarding him as he headed into Where it all begins again as the American champion. The main reason for Norton winning the title was to have his year long feud with War Piece end at the biggest show of the year. The match ended up being a Mask vs Hair match with the title also on the line and War Piece would come out on top, shaving Taylor Norton bald at the culmination of the match. Following this War Piece would put up a good reign, making defences against Robin DaLay, Drew Danson and Roderick Flack. His big issues started to arrive when he concerned himself with Nehemiah Loynes (Regen) and Barron Royal. The two aligned themselves together to try and attack and take the American title when a new masked man named Allen Simmons came to his aid. The youngster had never been seen before but quickly struck up a friendship and tag team with the American champion and within just three months they would challenge for the tag titles against The Deadly Sinners. Also on the same show War Piece was slated to defend his title against Eureka LaBelle who had a storming first 4 months since joining the company. The night could not have gone worse for War Piece as in the Tag Title match he would be turned on by his tag partner who unmasked to reveal that all along it had been his arch rival Taylor Norton and he joined Nehemiah and Royal in beating down War Piece. War Piece was given the chance by Commisioner Westybrook to not defend his title due to an injury but he went ahead with the match and it would cost him big time as it turns out Eureka was in cahoots with the trio as well and they cost him his American title. The tag title situation is a lot simpler. After the tag titles were vacated, Westybrook put them on the line in the Sam Keith Classic and made the tournament even more important than it already was. James Diaz and Logan Wolfsbaine were the clear favourites for the tournament but it would be a shock result as The Chaos Project's Kamikaze and Stuntman became tag champs thanks to an interference from Nate DeMarcus. This led to DeMarcus' face turn and forming of The Knockout Project. Kamikaze and Stuntman got in a few good defences of the titles but in a Where it all begins again rematch at The Proving Ground they would lose their titles to The Deadly Sinners (Bret Heartbreak and Original Sinner) following interference from James Diaz. Ever since then nobody has been able to touch the dominant duo and next in line to face them will be The Ring Generals, the legendary tag team who made their return at Where it all begins again to answer the open challenge and final ever MAW match of The Dynamite Express. I made such a big deal of Austin Smooth's return but he announced a month later that he was off to film a blockbuster film so we'll be losing him again in two months. He's going to lose to Miyake again on his way out leading to one final Miyake vs Wolfsbaine matchup. We've got faction warfare all over the place in MAW currently with another trio forming of Ralph Liotta, Nelson Callum and Robin DaLay who have dubbed themselves The Wild West following DaLay turning on his mentor Brad Blaze (blaze got signed). I'm super happy with my roster and current projectory of the company and its the first time in years my roster hasnt felt ravaged by companies and in a rebuild stage. My main project for the next 6 months is building up someone I've always wanted to book but never got the chance too until now, Matt Blackburn. He was released by PGHW and now I'm going to give him a big push from the off, likely aligning him with the Ri$e of the Mon$ters with Austin leaving for a while.
