  1. ECW: July/1997 - The Summer of Madness

Background: Savage left the WWF to go to ECW to wrestle. He wanted to be in the ring and not commentating!

Curt Hennig, with a chip on his shoulder and finally recovered from serious back issues, came in and immediately told Savage he'd outwrestle him unlike every other scrub in the ECW. Hennig told the world that he could put Savage down for the 1...2...3...

This Hennig/Savage is a feud I've been working towards since I brought Hennig on. I knew I wanted to move the belt and turn Savage heel as an outcome and it has worked like a dream.

At ECW: Hardcore Heatwave in July/1997 Hennig stepped into the ring and put on a wrestling clinic that matched the Macho Man's wild antics move-for-move in a steel cage.

89 Rating. Our highest rated match ever. For now!

Savage won't go after the belt as a heel. Instead, he's feuding with another upstart who has called him out for losing a step: Steve Austin, a promoter's dream.

Hennig's first feud over the belt is with Cactus Jack who may have to overcome not just Hennig but Savage losing his mind over losing the belt.

No one is safe in the Summer of Madness.

    Ongoing:

Hennig/Cactus Jack over the World Title Belt.

Savage/Austin leading up to a Retirement Match

Tazz/Kevin Greene & Tommy Dreamer for the Television Title

  2. ECW: Madness Rising

Randy Savage left WWF in 1994 when Vince wouldn't put him back in the ring.

The "Macho Man" didn't want to go down south however, instead deciding to take on a controlling stake and the book with Eastern Championship Wrestling, which was trending towards something the Madness could get behind: The Extreme!

Basically, Savage put the belt on himself and is building up new stars in a new promotion. He's carried the show from nothing to medium-sized heading into 1997, getting on television and smartly bringing in assets to challenge the big players WCW and WWF.

I managed to get Mr. Perfect, who is still injured and I have a plan for him to take the belt off Savage early into 1997. The television title has been traded between Tazz, Cactus Jack and Steve Austin.

I'm on the cusp of losing some talent due to costs but I think we'll be okay because Savage alone is worth the price of admission and a great figurehead.

My long-term plan is for Tazz and Hennig to feud over the big belt while Savage eventually puts over rising stars Cactus Jack and Steve Austin for the future.

  3. <p>So I just started this mod, which has been amazing so far!</p><p> </p><p>

My story goes like this:</p><p> </p><p>

Randy Savage takes the leg drop from Hogan and decides that his time with WCW is over, as he has no interest in being part of Hogan's new game.</p><p> </p><p>

The Macho Man was approached by Paul Heyman and together they're going to do business in ECW, handing Savage the book with Heyman overseeing things as a road agent and owner.</p><p> </p><p>

I just put the title on Savage and we're trying to build ECW as a rival.</p>

So far Neville has pretty much defended it against everyone on the Smackdown roster (It's a SD Only Title, just like the Womens Title on Raw) and has 17 defences going into 2018. Now, I have a Cruiserweight Classic PPV coming up in February and the winner gets a shot at the Cruiserweight title at Wrestlemania, but I was originally only having it be Smackdown guys. I have a few good cruisers on Raw, including Austin Aries/Kalisto. <p> </p><p> I think I might have Aries win the Cruiserweight Classic 2018, and then face Neville for the title, but apart from Aries no-one else is on the 'Neville Level' so to speak. Do you think I should have the CC open to both brands? That way I guess Aries could win it and then maybe if the Raw Superstar wins the title, they will be drafted to Smackdown. I'm still not entirely sure though.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> If they can add to the division, they need to be on Smackdown. To really cement Neville as a legend of the group, I'd have him go over the best of the rest at 'Mania</p>
  5. <p>It's late 1995 and the Undertaker just left the WWF due to a major scandal involving the mafia.</p><p> </p><p>

I signed him and will have him going over fan-favorite Roddy Piper, retiring an aging hotrod in a brutal casket match for the big gold belt. The other faces of WCW will be throwing themselves into the hellfire to stop the deadman. They will fail.</p><p> </p><p>

As each face of WCW falls, a formerly colorful hero will appear in the rafters, dressed in black and white, ready to battle the deadman in the hell that WCW has become....</p><p> </p><p>

The battle for the soul of WCW begins...</p>

I have no idea what to call them but I'm just happy that I've found him a partner after so long <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> There's someone out there for EVERYONE!</p>
  7. <p>WCW in 1994, using the Rising Storm database.</p><p> </p><p>

Big Gold Belt: Sting, who defeated Vader</p><p> </p><p>

US: Rick Martel, who defeated Rick Rude</p><p> </p><p>

North American: Ultimate Warrior, who defeated Arn Anderson (Double A had to carry the match completely...)</p><p> </p><p>

Television: Scott Steiner, who defeated Bobby Eaton</p><p> </p><p>

Tag Titles: New Hart Connection/Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart</p>

  8. It's 1994 and WCW decided to do a brand split!!

    Nitro Brand Stars:

Sting, Hennig, Savage, Brian Pillman, Jake Roberts and Barry Windham

    Thunder Brand Stars:

Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Scott Steiner, Vader, and Steamboat

I decided to do the brand split because I just have too many good wrestlers and not enough opportunities.

I also want to note that Ric Flair is toxic for three years due to get caught up in a prostitution ring. He paid a little too much money for women to take rides on space mountain.

  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jaysin" data-cite="Jaysin" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>No. Just call up the talent from the one you don't want, and end the relationship via the relationships button.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's awesome! Thank you so much!!</p>
  10. I'm running the Montreal Aftermath mod with WCW and my save is fun so far.

Hogan lost to Sting at Starrcade in a more reasonable fashion. Basically, I just had them fight a regular match. Got a 95 rating. No stupid ref switch in sight.

Hart and Sting are in a feud over the Big Gold Belt. Just had a double count out, in a last man standing match, at Bash at the Beach. Got a 97 rating.

Flair is pissed about being pushed down the card, but I have plans for him, I'm just letting him stew in the upper card for now, making guys look good. He's going to get the world belt back at some point down the road, just waiting for Hogan to play himself out as figurehead or piss enough people off that I can drop him.

Savage keeps putting on the best matches of his career. He carried Lex Luger to a pair of 92 match ratings. I almost have to do something more with the Macho Man. I might have Hart take the title off Sting and have Savage go after Hart.

Another guy putting on great matches is Meng. The guy is a total monster who was always underutilized. I'm considering putting the US title on him. He's had multiple upper 80 ratings with people who aren't so great.

This mod is awesome. The mod squad really came through.

  11. Can anyone help me with an issue I'm having when clicking on certain buttons in the game(played through Wine).

When i click on, say "Product", a run time error pops up and kills the game.

    It says the following:

    Run-Time Error '339'

Component 'ovsBooleanControls.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid.

I've tried reinstalling, including going through the set up process for WineTricks again, but just get the same issue.

Its frustrating as ive had it working fine, but had to reinstal after formatting my hard drive.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Same issue for me, would love a remedy of some sort.
