1. Ignoring jokes about e-fed "Undertaker clones", I would say the gimmick is 1 step Unique and 2 steps Creative.
2. Okay, so "it's the mod"? Is there anywhere to get a list of which mods are properly balanced? This is the second RW mod I've had major issues with (other was 1970, which has a lot of mistakes where you can't get good enough ratings to keep television and the AI constantly goes into regions it has no popularity in for big shows; JCP for instance is drawing 60 people to Tri-State when it should exclusively run the Mid Atlantic at the start); thing is, I can't seem to get into the CornellVerse no matter how hard I try. Any suggestions for a pre-2000 mod that works like the game intends? There are so many I don't know which ones actually work. I would especially like one a 0/0/0 game is plausible in, if any.
3. Regular American English, it shows as 1000, no decimel or comma. Nope. All that happened is that, despite them having almost zero popularity and being worth 10 by game terms, two other companies just chucked 900 at them for seemingly no reason. I checked every which way. Another company should have been able to hire for 10-20 as well. All small promotions, all handshakes, but for some reason they instant offer 900. The worker doesn't leave me, just immediately asks for a massive raise. This on top of the owner giving himself a massive raise. Is this a bug? It seems odd that another really small promotion would overpay a worker by a hundred times for no reason at all (no war, no competition even, we don't run shows the same nights, there was no reason to jack up the pay). Do companies jack up worker pay on purpose just to get them to demand unjust raises elsewhere to kill competition? That doesn't sound quite right, though. P.S. If I try playing as one of the other companies that paid the worker 900 per appearance, the actual cost of the worker is 60 per appearance if trying to hire. Yeah, I can't figure out what's wrong. Does the AI artificially jack up contract amounts to screw the player or other companies?
4. Okay, new problem in my 0/0/0 game. One of my created newbie workers designed for the upstart promotion, worth 10/show by the game's own logic, demanded a pay raise to over $900 after one appearance wherein popularity went up to 3. I can only keep playing by giving myself a million bucks as the owner also gives himself a goofy raise, but it feels like cheating. I'm starting to think the 0/0/0/0 game really isn't possible. Avoiding bankruptcy just isn't feasible with workers wanting $1000 per show when making no money. I know that is realistic since one can't open a wrestling promotion with no money, but I figured it'd still be possible if only barely.
5. Yeah. The idea is that they all smoke weed and such. Is dirty doctor specifically steroids? I thought it was just "I'll make sure you test clean when you're dirty". I'm guessing I misunderstood?
6. Low Randomness, but All Women Doing Steroids I'm playing a 0/0/0 game starting out with a small roster including some girls. After one show (the very first), they ALL started being heavy steroid users out of nowhere. Then they asked for outrageous raises from 10-20 per show to well over 100 per show and the owner gave himself a raise to well over 600 per show, making a profit pretty much impossible. Did I just get the worst RNG in TEW history or is 0/0/0 impossible in 2020?
7. Oh, so the gain is still there? I know in previous games you could look in the editor and see decimals, and saw none, so I wasn't sure how it was working anymore. I thought decimals were removed completely, but I suppose this means decimals still exist but just aren't shown? Don't mean to ask so much, just wanting to make sure I fully understand (first time playing 2020).
8. I started a game as a brand new promotion (variation of the old 0/0/0/0 game but I started with money while having 0 everywhere else), and my first show came out with a massive (for a 0/0/0 company of newbies) 31 and the notes said I gained popularity in my home region, but upon looking, I still have absolute 0 popularity everywhere in the world including my home region. I even looked in the editor, just a flat 0. Now I looked and saw drip-feed skills but saw nothing saying we had drip-feed company popularity. Is this a bug or was I wrong about popularity not being drip-fed?
9. Dang I guess I am the only one that finds Kota Ibushi to be boring as a brick. Ah well. Maybe if I hear Ibushi loses the briefcase I'll think about subbing again, otherwise I guess I'll be without wrestling for a little bit. I still think the money match is Naito v Hiromu, but it'll never happen now I don't think.
10. Some spoilers, but it's been several days, and I am flustered, so... Am I the only one disappointed with the G1 this year? It started great, but I feel it fell apart completely on Night 17. Allow me to elaborate. First off, Ospreay and Okada had what is likely to be the Match of the Year. This made me wonder why it wasn't the main event. Ishii and White didn't come close, neither did Ibushi and Taichi. Furthermore, I can't find any instance where this lineup makes sense in any way. It struck me as baffling that they would put the climax of the show before the two matches that decide the block. Also, I can't be the only person who finds Kota Ibushi to be boring, uninspired, and lacking in star power and charisma. He's a wooden board. The only time he's fun to watch is with better wrestlers like Ospreay, and he isn't a main event level potential right now from what I see. Yet not only did they bury the most exciting thing on the midcard, they had him win the whole thing effectively in the next to last match, then ended it with a clunker between White and Ishii that had no drama whatsoever. Baffling. Then they botched Night 18 by basically either giving away the result of the final or guaranteeing a boring WrestleKingdom main event (unless someone takes the contract later). Sanada won't beat Ibushi, and even if he does, Sanada vs. Naito isn't an exciting match. I thought for sure they'd do the "smart" thing that they've seemingly set up since prior to COVID. I feel the best thing for business would have been a Naito win of the G1, followed by him calling out Hiromu Takahashi for WrestleKingdom. That would be exciting to watch. Now we get Sanada or Ibushi unless someone else takes the contract before then, and there is little time left due to the COVID delays, so I felt completely deflated and worse still bored by what happened on Nights 17 and 18. So much so I'm not sure I care about the final. Looking at tonight's card, it looks boring. Just... boring. I would have been more excited for Taichi to take on Yano in the finals, truth be told. I can't be the only one feeling this way, right?
11. I'm an American suffering greatly in several ways due to the GOP government's actions during this pandemic. While other countries do well, America slides further into degeneration. Now I wonder if this is the end of the road for this country. They're intent on opening schools, and I honestly think every single person who has sided with Trump or helped him needs to be locked up forever for murder. Same for absolutely anyone on either side saying we should send children back to schools in America. That said, I believe that Trump and the GOP should be held personally responsible for every single American who has died from COVID, as they were the ones who made it this bad and instilled these stupid feelings of liberty over the collective. Furthermore, America's strict corporate capitalism has caused irreversible damage to the economy because it doesn't work in a pandemic at all. Poverty and homelessness in America are now at third world levels. I am ashamed of my country and thoroughly despise everything about it now including the values and culture. There is nothing good. And nothing is the right word. This is a nation where selling weed (harmless) can net over a decade in prison, and being black gets you more time and beat up by cops, but a pedophile in South Dakota gets only four years. There is not one aspect of American life or values I would keep if given the chance to change it all. My wife has several big risk factors that could kill her if she catches COVID. I find myself more scared than any other time in my life now, and my life has been directly threatened to the point I had to kill in self defense. Yet this is infinitely more terrifying. I could honestly see myself picking up a gun and doing terrible things if irresponsible Americans and their beliefs cost me my wife, who is my entire world. I would never recover emotionally or mentally. So beyond being scared of COVID, I'm scared of myself and what I will do if I lose my wife, scared of whom I may hurt. Worse still, I have few people to talk to about this because it turned out many of my friends were ignorant all along and so I've dropped them all. Now my wife and I stand alone, no family or friends, all because we're smarter than these people speaking against masks and social distancing. Anyone who puts individual "liberty" above the lives of other people is reprehensible. Is this the end of the line for America and capitalism? From what I'm seeing, the answer is a "cautiously hopeful YES, this nation and this ideology are done." It's the only silver lining, that we may finally escape this horror. If not, I fear we will see an Extinction Level Event. Thoughts?
12. I was not happy with the match. I'm iffy on EVIL as champ only because I feel they keep booking Naito badly. Like NJPW doesn't appreciate Naito at all. But the bigger thing is, how can any logical fan NOT think LIJ is dead in the water now? SANADA had a reason to help Naito against EVIL and didn't show up. A fake BUSHI showed up, but the real one didn't come out. No Shingo, either. The only person who did show up was Hiromu (most entertaining man in NJPW). To me, LIJ no longer exists. If I were Hiromu I would have gone to the locker room and beat the hell out of SANADA and BUSHI and Shingo for not helping. The layout of the match was beyond bad. And yes, the turn should have happened there. Also, Dick Togo is old and useless and I can't bring myself to care one bit about him. Bullet Club is also a mere shadow of its former self and basically a C-Level stable now. EVIL is the only big name in it currently because of COVID.
13. I just found out about Tessa Blanchard's contract being terminated early. From what I read, it was because she took a leave of absence for COVID. Pretty reprehensible in my opinion. I'm sure Tessa won't have trouble finding work. I'm very disappointed with how Impact has handled things, but I suppose it's to be expected given how that part of the country has behaved during COVID.
14.
Whoa, sub numbers haven't changed? I'm actually beyond shocked by that given the lack of content. Sounds like the extra WrestleKingdom event may have set them up well enough to survive the closure. Pretty glad to hear that they are still in the black. Times like this I'm glad NJPW is not publicly held, that's for sure.

Thanks for the link to that. Here's hoping that June will see NJPW return to some sort of event broadcasting. I do miss it in these hard times. Also glad they'll be safe upon reopening.
