Time to rename it to the Spadeverse.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="09a48c2f9a5b45846f7d6d237605f3a9.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/09a48c2f9a5b45846f7d6d237605f3a9.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  2. ... what do you guys end up doing with the Young Bumfs? I want to push them both as singles, I think, but I'm never sure on what to do their characters as singles wrestlers.
  3. It's time to bring back Remmy Skye. A path to redemption, or damnation... He's ready, brotherdudejack.
  4. <p>I'm playing a Cult level company in 2018 in the C Verse. Remmy Skye is my figure head. He's been incredible in the role, and is probably one of the best workers in the world right now. Jay Chord is currently holding the US Title (essentially the promotion's title, I haven't gone outside the US yet...) and Bulldozer Brandon Smith just won the TV Title off of Skye, as I'm trying to transition Skye back toward the US Title/a feud with Chord. Greg Gauge and Matt Gauge (as, 'The Brotherhood') are holding down the tag team division right now... I'm thinking of uniting Chord, and the Gauge brothers to form a sort of super-stable... maybe introducing a trios title to keep them from having to hold EVERY title all the time? But I'd need to come up with more stables, and I kind of suck at that.</p><p> </p><p> SWF and TCW have both fallen into Cult status too, and I'm gaining ground on them quickly in the US. <strong>Champagne Lover got convicted of Murder and is in prison for 15 years, effectively ending his career.</strong> Oddly enough, this has propelled SOTBPW to be the #2 promotion in the US. USPW is still leading for now... but SOTBPW has a more star studded lineup, and USPW is losing ground.</p><p> </p><p> I'm looking to hire KC Glenn and using him to shake up my main event scene. I'm probably not going to do what I did with Chord and have him win the title his first match in the company, but I have a feeling that he's going to have a record quick climb.</p>

  6. <p>I'm guessing this has come up a thousand times before...</p><p> </p><p> Does anyone have any good names/gimmicks for Randy and Zimmy Bumfhole, post a split, with both of them going to be pushed as big singles stars? I started a SWF save, and had the frustration of losing to the Awesomeness get to Zimmy, who turned heel. Honestly, I might keep Zimmy's name, if just because keeping him as a heel with a name like Zimmy Bumfhole and his punchable face is perfect... but what would I even do with Randy?</p>
  7. <p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">WARNING:</span></strong> This is going to be long. If you're into reading my conundrum on what happens when your company basically wins the game and signs all the best talent in the Cornellverse, go ahead and skip it. It's going to be kinda TL;DR, because it's been forever, and I need to actually explain a lot of this for people to help me make an informed decision here.</p><p> </p><p> So I've started working my way through 2023 and into 2024 with my game. The stars aligned and I scored Nicky Champion, who was the most popular worker in the game just in time for Champagne Lover to come back from a 14 month movie-making venture. Once in a lifetime match that went over extremely well. I've sort of booked out the rest of my year, vaguely, in Notepad. Card subject to change.</p><p> </p><p> I'm in May of 2023, with a global sized company. Perf > Pop product.</p><p> </p><p> I've booked everything I've done thus far around titles. Every July I have a 10+ day round robin tournament, with the winner getting a title shot at the Main Event at the big season finale in December. On the way there they defend the their title shot against people they lost to in the tournament on their way to the big event.</p><p> </p><p> Here's my star players, and a little backstory on what I've done with them.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>KC Glenn</strong> (31) recaptured the World Title for the first time since November 2018 in November of 2022. He held it for 4 defenses before he dropped it to the debuting Nicky Champion at the January Show, Ambition. He is my biggest babyface star in terms of potential drawing power, having an 83 in Charisma and 100 in SQ. <a href="https://i.gyazo.com/c71bcadd6d56d85fdb0d178003fc1368.png" rel="external nofollow">Probably also the best wrestler in the world in terms of pure stats.</a></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Nicky Champion</strong> (38) has 100 popularity across America from his stints at the top of USPW and SOTBPW and is being treated like a big deal/special attraction, who only wrestles on PPV but makes appearances and an occasional tag match on TV. He has yet to lose.<a href="https://i.gyazo.com/f15f23cf04c3e3b1284caa7721e7cc70.png" rel="external nofollow"> A great, but not fantastic worker.</a> Protecting him like this has had fantastic results.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Champagne Lover</strong> (41) is a former 3 time champion, and the second most popular worker in the world, pegged across the board at 98s. Also a special attraction. He went unranked last year due to spending 14 months filming a movie, but is a five time wrestler of the year. He was in a figurehead role for a very long time, but I removed him from that position in the year off. I don't know how long he's got before he hits Time Decline, <a href="https://i.gyazo.com/9877a9b0aadf8f1d3c80f57ae52eea1d.png" rel="external nofollow">but he's not there yet and is still putting on fantastic matches.</a></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Angry Gilmore</strong> (44) is a former 2 time World Champion. He had a bad surgery from a bad back injury, and was out for 8 months. Came back with a 'Bitter Veteran' gimmick, and started kicking ass. Won his second World Championship, dropped it to Jay Chord before he left the company. Picked up the IC Title from Wolf Hawkins, and shortly after won the Tag Team (w/ Spencer Spade, as the 'Franchise Players') titles as well. Currently pulls double duty on PPV as his gimmick.<a href="https://i.gyazo.com/0714ebe82ad4ac766fb58d02bb88c227.png" rel="external nofollow"> Not a big money draw due to an unfortunate lack of SQ, but probably my most reliably great worker.</a></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Wolf Hawkins</strong>(37) is my second biggest draw, <a href="https://i.gyazo.com/3ad851610118b4a519b29bbbdc51b453.png" rel="external nofollow">in terms of SQ and Charisma</a>, and my primary heel. Phenomal performer, but has never held a World Title. Was the one who brought the Intercontinental Title to prestige with a year and a half long reign with an average of 99 on each defense. I'm not sure where to go with him yet, but I think he'll probably get into the World Title scene soon.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Matty Faith</strong> (28) is the future of my company, and probably of Pro Wrestling as a whole. We'll wait and see how Cornell Jr turns out before I make that bold claim, but only at 27 he's easily the fourth most popular guy in my company and <a href="https://i.gyazo.com/d71865dde021d6dd0a1ebfa2022899d7.png" rel="external nofollow"><em>better than he has any right to be.</em></a> Just damn good. He has no accolades besides beating KC Glenn on the last big PPV to complete his ascension to main event status.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Spencer Spade</strong> (32) was for some reason released by SWF. I can't figure out why,<a href="https://i.gyazo.com/556b9419f6bc17a5acbc54ee32b9214c.png" rel="external nofollow"> he's absurdly good</a> at everything but long matches, and a positive force in the locker room to boot. Their loss is my gain, and he's a 2 time World Champion, one time tournaent winner, one time IC Champion, and two times Tag Champion. Despite these accolades, he's never really been my 'top guy.' I'm aiming to change that.</p><p> </p><p> So, my goal here is to create a booking plan that makes cohesive sense, and tells some good stories on the way to doing a big 'changing of the guard.' Moving my titles and the focus of my company onto these younger guys, and moving the older ones into supporting roles.</p><p> </p><p> The 24-man, 12 night tournament is going to be booked so that Champagne Lover wins. I want to get out of this tournament without Nicky Champion taking a pinfall or submission. The most convenient way I could come up with doing this was that he'll go up against Sayeed Ali in the first round and win by disqualification when Ali gets caught cheating.</p><p> </p><p> Ali will go psycho, and throw him off the stage, writing him out of the rest of the tournament and setting up for a later title defense.</p><p> </p><p> This left me with a conundrum, though. Who wins his group? It's basically a <a href="https://i.gyazo.com/194185f4043450af8eecbca74c0f3236.png" rel="external nofollow">who's who </a>of potential, I think. I want to push Matty Faith and have him in a top position by the end of the year, so I'll push him.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="8cea4c8b531ca02e17d397b2120b63a8.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/8cea4c8b531ca02e17d397b2120b63a8.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Matty Faith technically <em>ties</em> with Angry Gilmore, but since he beats him, he has a tiebreaker point that lets him advance to the final.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="af65f8ad12a5509ca3c2b04f84d64645.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/af65f8ad12a5509ca3c2b04f84d64645.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Champagne Lover's group is a little easier to book, I think. He takes a loss each to Wolf Hawkins and KC Glenn, but otherwise skates on through to the Finals. This'll be important later.</p><p> </p><p> From there, obviously, Lover will beat Faith in what I expect will be a great match, and we can move on. From there, I've sort of designed the fallout to fall like this...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Nicky Champion</strong> defends his title against <strong>Sayeed Ali</strong> in a Loser Leaves Town match, set up to coincide with Ali's actual contract ending. He's a total troublemaker, and now has major beef with Nicky Champion, KC Glenn, Emma Chase, and Wolf Hawkins backstage over money. So it's time for him to go.</p><p> <strong>Champagne Lover</strong> defends his title opportunity against KC Glenn and Wolf Hawkins heading on to the December big show for a big rematch of their first encounter. TWICE IN A LIFETIME, LOL. I want to run the biggest arena I can, and try to set a new PPV record. I need these big money draws in my main event of my biggest show.</p><p> <strong>Angry Gilmore</strong> is obligated to give IC title matches to <strong>Hollywood Brett Starr</strong> and <strong>Matty Faith</strong> due to losses in the tournament. He'll win the former, but lose the latter due to an especially grueling tag team match earlier on the card. He and Spade will lose the Tag Team titles shortly after to the Gauge Brothers, Matt and Greg, as his quest to regain the IC title consumes him. Spade will turn on him. They'll feud heading up to December, and Spade will win in a cage match.</p><p> </p><p> I'd like to de-emphasize Gilmore from there on out, so he'll probably be in a supportive role. Put him in a tag team with one of my young guys and let his experience rub off on them a bit.</p><p> </p><p> Here's where I start to run into a brick wall. I need things to do with KC Glenn and Wolf Hawkins, as they are my two biggest stars and it feels like an oversight to not have any plans for them after they lose to Champagne Lover on his way to the main event of the big show.</p><p> </p><p> Glenn <em>just</em> lost the World Title, and lost his rematch, and lost to Matty Faith... so having him go after the IC title after Faith wins it seems natural. But then either Faith, who is supposed to be a future star, won't have a memorable first title run... or Matty will have beat him twice, which is kinda a bad way to treat your best (full time) babyface for a guy who is only four years younger than him.</p><p> </p><p> My other option that I can think of is to put KC and Hawkins into a feud, but having those two feuding without the title sort of feels like a waste considering they're my top full time heel and my top full time face and a feud between them should probably be the focal point of the company. Then again, could try to run my take on the Naito/AJ feud from WK2013 where these are two guys jockeying to get into position for whichever of the two above them become more vulnerable.</p><p> </p><p> Or I could do the WWF/WWE storyline of two main event guys who're feuding get stuck together in a tag team against their will and somehow win the tag titles, leading to a big separation feud on into 2024. But maybe that's a little obvious, and it kinda buries the Tag division, which atm has the same prestige as my two main event titles do thanks to Gilmore and Spade being awesome.</p><p> </p><p> I could try to elevate two different people to feud with separately. What do you think makes the most sense for a well-executed storyline?</p><p> </p><p> TL;DR version: Main event title match for the big show is between two part timers/special attractions, what do I do with my two best full time stars?</p>

  9. <p>Anyone have any rerenders for Garry the Entertainer or Matty Faith? Combed the rerender threads, and the photobucket, and then googled their names on the GDS site with Image Search up and no dice, but it's possible something slipped through the cracks.</p><p> </p><p> Trying to invest in the 'next generation' of my company, or at least the two guys with the most potential and I really don't like either of their default renders all that much. I guess if all else fails I can find a Christian Faith alt for Matty, but I'm at a loss for ol' Garry...</p>

  12. <p>Another year, another tournament. Given that I had to top last years', I was sort of at a loss (besides adding 4 more people and another night to the tournament) until Bryan Vessey died at the top of TCW shortly after I signed Cameron Vessey up from USPW.</p><p> </p><p> Cameron dedicated 'his tournament win' to Larry, and for a while it seemed like he might actually do it... Won his first two matches over established main event guys, but went on a losing streak afterword. I feel like I booked it all-around much better this time, though, as everyone involved was elevated like crazy. Mainstream Hernandez had a losing record, and yet he's one of the most popular guys in my company now.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="14fc9c26ae128ea5b8386cd0c131375c.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/14fc9c26ae128ea5b8386cd0c131375c.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Spencer Spade and Hawkins advanced from their respective group stages, Ross Henry was once again a Bridesmaid and not a Bride, and Champagne Lover (my figurehead) got screwed out of advancing out when a salty heel he beat in the previous round ran in and attacked... his opponent, DQing him out of top tournament contention. I sort of feel like this was a stroke of genius, as it made a good feud and protected Champagne while allowing me to advance Spencer Spade without jobbing him out clean.</p><p> </p><p> After this, I'm doing a brand split, and the tournament will be the only time when you get to see some of these matches in order to make it more special. I'm just waiting for my current TV deal to run out so I can switch everything over to my Network (An 80mil investment...) to run a Brand Split to make the workload easier on my guys and hopefully boost my popularity up to Global so this Local to Global save is done.</p><p> </p><p> Ah, and some screenshots of the tournaments... I'll link most of these, except the final, as not to spam the thread up with 10 straight screenshots.</p><p> </p><p> Night 1</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/b14f09a150bacf24768c1c57c51a3152" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/b14f09a150bacf24768c1c57c51a3152</a></p><p> </p><p> Night 2</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/43d67c91cb8cd296962f7e010bf532a4" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/43d67c91cb8cd296962f7e010bf532a4</a></p><p> </p><p> Night 3</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/74250eea73156625db8b0d7a4335c347" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/74250eea73156625db8b0d7a4335c347</a></p><p> </p><p> Night 4</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/822ee56425761c974e9f66fcad17a4fd" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/822ee56425761c974e9f66fcad17a4fd</a></p><p> </p><p> Everyone gets the weekend off because they're crazy fatigued, so I run a sort of mediocre TV in the gap on Monday, and then it's back to the grind for 5 nights in a row of physically intense wrestling.</p><p> </p><p> Night 5</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/02f2cda9268765f924361b59e2434544" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/02f2cda9268765f924361b59e2434544</a></p><p> </p><p> Night 6</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/94e6ac57310ad6b4edfcba00a0fa584e" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/94e6ac57310ad6b4edfcba00a0fa584e</a></p><p> </p><p> Night 7</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/d175078d5df0c79aceb2b8f504b6e1b1" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/d175078d5df0c79aceb2b8f504b6e1b1</a></p><p> </p><p> Night 8</p><p> <a href="https://gyazo.com/c825dcf6597d2790f3331cd549198267" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/c825dcf6597d2790f3331cd549198267</a></p><p> </p><p> And the finale...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ec57e37fa9f901fdde44db68766e7943.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/ec57e37fa9f901fdde44db68766e7943.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Spencer Spade got hit with some inconsistency, and they were both fatigued so it wasn't quite a 100 on the last match. Fast forward a month and I've put the title on Spade after he beat Chord-- who's behavioral problems were getting so problematic that keeping the title on him was a liability-- as he has 100 SQ despite his middling performance skills. He can put on good matches and is a big money draw, so I'll keep it on him for a while.</p><p> </p><p> ... I'm thinking of giving Mainstream the suit alt, and putting him under Jimmy Hernandez, and having him do a Summer of Punk esque run where he threatens to go to USPW or SOTBPW with the title. He went 3-6 in the tournament, but his overness shot up 10+ points in all areas of the US in the process. He's 92-98 in the US, and has 100 SQ too. Not entirely sure how he got that over, but I gotta embrace it somehow.</p>
  13. Benny 'Glass Jaw' Benson. Literally on his match back after his last broken jaw... well, rip.
  14. <p>Playing as my own company in the Cverse, in November of 2020.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="a03332e3c5a2bc23c82ef995a0175bab.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/a03332e3c5a2bc23c82ef995a0175bab.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Main Event belt. They were just set as Floating so I could have some low-level champs, but Fro Sure and Benny Benson set the bar pretty high and I've had to make tag teams out of my Main Eventers to compete.</p>
  15. <p>I got into 2020 with my created company and had written Angry Gilmore mostly off, as a back injury kept him on the shelf for over a year and the surgery to repair it had not gone so well. When he came back I was unsure of what to do with him, so I looked at my folders of alts and came across this....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="b73b0f1a2df3efb57e9ddf365f0d1f1b.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/b73b0f1a2df3efb57e9ddf365f0d1f1b.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> That's when I got a flash of inspiration. Angry Gilmore would become an angry old man version of Stone Cold. He somehow didn't have any ring rust, so I brought him onto TV and in his first match on TV he got a 99. Then he cut a promo that got a 100. Then he got 100 after 100, and so I booked him to win my G1 Climax ripoff tournament that decides the #1 contender for the gold.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="a7e2778b966abe76b710fadef4865d5a.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/a7e2778b966abe76b710fadef4865d5a.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> He went 6-1 during the group stage, only losing to Ross Henry. He went on to face Ernest Youngman in the Final and won with a 94 (apparently both men were very tired from wrestling 9 matches in 9 days.) Every match he had in the tournament was fire. I booked him against Champagne Lover (my figurehead) in a match for the title at the next PPV, and he pulled... a 100, as he won the title, and secured himself for a definite entry into the Hall of Immortals. The next night, I had him come out with the belt and his trophy and induct himself into the Wrestling Revolution Hall of Fame, and basically have had him begin an awesome reign of terror.</p><p> </p><p> He had an Icon vs Icon Hour-long Ironman match against Wolf Hawkins, set with Once in a Lifetime for the title that pulled a 99 (apparently the commentary could have been better, and probably held the rating down) and solidified him as a real champion.</p><p> </p><p> I've got a few options available to me now for moving forward. The safe option would be to put the belt back on my Figurehead, or I could go into a Champion vs Champion program with IC Champion Spencer Spade. It's funny, on a botched surgery, his career has been given a new fire and it's been an effective way for me to take the belt off of my Figurehead and give some of the guys he beat to get there some shine. I'll probably milk this run for what I can before he hits Time Decline, and then have him move to start passing the torch to younger guys coming up.</p>
