[TEW2020 Ultimate Excel]

Hey, so I thought i'd go in and give your file a try but couldn't get it working. Always error'd out asking for the password and then obviously the tabs didn't update correctly.

 

So I had a look through your vba and everything looked fine.

Next I went and looked at the data connections and whilst everything there looked fine, I recreated the connection to the "TEW2020 Ultimate Excel.mdb" and now it all works fine.

 

I could replicate the error of it trying to pull the the data from the main TEW DB by installing the trial on a second PC and just downloading the file and attempting to run it from the download file with nothing else and it would still find and open the TEW DB and attempt to use it to open files.

 

So I think somewhere, somehow, in there you might have a link to the main DB instead of the Ultimate DB you have people create.

Anyway to pre-book a match with a a surprise opponent/partner that i'm missing?

Seems the screen needs me to select exactly who will be in the match.

I don't know who Panix is, but an absolute ton of those are the storylines I created for the first or second TEW game. I don't recall which. I always said people were welcome to use it, just give credit. Sad to see credit wasn't given.

I thought they would be cheaper too, but it seems not the case.</p><p> </p><p>

Seems weird to me that we can't set the price of PPVs tbh.</p>

I know i'm probably in a minority here, but man those freestyle angles are just boring. Maybe boring is the wrong word. Back in 2011 I think it was? 2013? I wrote a ton of angles for TEW. But now with Freestyle I don't bother, I just use freestyle for everything because i'm lazy.

 

The Freestyle angles are like McDonalds for me now, super easy to use but doesn't taste as good as creating a great angle.

I want to search for things and read up on other items while watching TV and can't as I don't have the game infront of me.

 

Anyone know if the handbook is available outside of the game anywhere?

I've pinged TheFlamingred to confirm if this is okay and i'll remove if they have issue, but I take no credit outside of updating the file. I haven't really added anything to this community since the 2006 release.,.. so well, here is my 14 year later provision.</p><p> </p><p>

I've updated the excel sheet that TheFlamingred created to work with TEW2020, several sections where off center and I took the opportunity to add a couple of features. </p><p> </p><p>

[Thoughts on the new perception system?]

I clearly hadn't read the developer diaries well enough as I was confused as hell as to where the Push system went. I didn't want to ask on the forums, I didn't see anyone else asking so assumed I was being a dumb ass.

 

Overall the system seems fine, but 1/2 my roster is unknown and the other half are stars. Seems a bit weird to me.
