  1. Full disclosure I don't spend much time here, I haven't bought TEW2020, but it's nice to meet you too. I hope you continue to enjoy wrestling and good luck with the game.
  2. I'm glad to hear it! Welcome back! I've been watching them since day one and I also feel like I have wrestling back in my life the way I want it to be after years in the wilderness. Cody at one time discussed in an interview his ambition to try politics at some point.
  3. I'm running 1 or 2 shows a month as a small company. Do all main eventers need to be on every show to keep their morale up? When I left someone off a card he got pissed but I'd like some wiggle room to rotate people in and out a bit.

Why not try running one of the 2 big sports entertainment companies in America, SWF or USPW?</p><p> </p><p> SWF was the top company in the world for many years but has taken a step back, ceding the top spot to USPW.</p>
  5. I know there is more scroll support if we keep "Enable New-Style Coloured Lists" unchecked. Is there similar reason to keep "Enable Coloured Text" unchecked? I like the colored text for getting a rough impression of a worker's skills but I'm wondering if I'm losing anything with it on.

A lot of people find them useful for roster organisation. I don't even think they need to 'do' anything. If it helps people 'see' their roster, rock on.</div></blockquote><p> Honestly its just terminology that makes a great deal of sense to feature in the game. Its both insider terminology that makes sense in the game's context and also very familiar to wrestling fans so immediately understood.</p>
  7. Got you so things are set up for simming purposes. So something I noticed that confused me, The Enforcers having 25 tag experience when the team hadn't formed yet, is so that when the AI books WCW to try to get them to use the team. So a player may want to sort of look out for things to double-check and make sure they're accurate for the time so as to not be accidentally gamey and use tag experience that wasn't really there..a small mental adjustment I can make, just seeing if I understand how it works.
  8. Thanks so much! I think I'll look to have them do brawls with other teams so I can rate them on fighting and they can work with other teams who have better charisma. Hopefully Armstrong picks up at least a little something.
  9. <p>I hope this is what helping looks like. </p><p> </p><p> -Should Terri Runnels have the Runnels name?</p><p> -Looking at the Handbook, I'm not sure Clash of the Champions should have Intent set to Throwaway. Throwaway is for charity shows or other one-offs that can be outside of continuity and have no expectations, so the Clash should probably be Normal intent.</p><p> </p><p> I think you've done a great job with the mod because I love the way you did the stats, everything feels good. Thanks again for all the work.</p>
  10. Glad you got it, I should have been more clear in my response to you. Yes I think that's the crux of it. I want a manager cutting a decent promo to put over good ring workers with none of those skills you listed (Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner, The Lightning Express). I'm sure winning matches will help but thought I could supplement the pop (and momentum?) gains with manager promos. Rating on fighting does seem too gamey so maybe I'll do some testing. Thanks for the response.
  11. yeaaaaa that's the one mod I got around to on 2016, love that mod!
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Malioc" data-cite="Malioc" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47811" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Can someone please tell me where I can release wrestlers?<p> </p><p> I want to cut a number of handshake employees, but can't see where.</p></div></blockquote><p> Click their name on the roster page. Where it says "Popularity" clicking either the left arrow or the right arrow brings up contract details. </p><p> </p><p> Just a thought and maybe I'm overlooking something, I feel like next to popularity in yellow, it should say "Contract Details" in grey to show the option is there, then when you toggle over to contract details, "Contract Details" switches to yellow and "Popularity" switches to grey, just to show you toggling back and forth. That way from the start it wouldn't be hidden. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Might anyone have a thought on how to do a manager promo for a worker who won't score well no matter what I rate them on? Even though they're just standing around while the manager is talking I think I still need to have them on-screen and rated in order for the segment to affect them.</p>
  13. I'm here for it, London. I'd quite like to play a non-RW database but not feeling this iteration of the CV at all! I think I'll give the L-Verse a spin.
  14. I'm finally into a game and enjoying 2020, thanks for the mod! As WCW all my current broadcasting deals are telling me they won't negotiate due to my not meeting popularity requirements. Is there anything I can do?
  15. If I'm playing as WCW, what length should I give his contract?
  16. Anyone know which is easier to get good ratings as a main event, a survivor series match or a war games match? I need to decide which one to rip off at NYCW Gang Wars baby
  17. Awesome post! Thanks for sharing all of this. I fell in love with Shinsuke when he came to NXT and went live to see him beat Samoa Joe for the NXT Title in Brooklyn. I couldn't believe it when he won the Rumble but I also felt the disappointment afterward when his match with Styles was just boring. It was the combination of Styles/Shinsuke being boring when it should have been good, and at the same time Daniel Bryan came back and it took them a few weeks to make him feel like just another guy...those two things got me off of WWE. I just thought "what am I even hoping for?" But my love for Nakamura and his NXT run got me into New Japan, and as you say, thank God for AEW! I cry for a lot of movies and TV too lol
  18. The night I became a lifelong wrestling fan- Ric Flair's "fire me, I'm already fired" promo on Bischoff the night the Horsemen returned
  19. Thanks, I just did one. I had Undertaker and Jeff Hardy re-creating their famous match in the 2nd round. Undertaker loses to Triple H, who goes to the final and is upset by Jericho for the win! Then in the final of the loser bracket, Chris Benoit avenges a loss to Edge in the original tourney and Jericho has to face his partner. Interesting you have Raven as a face, I wonder what that character is like.
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TeemuFoundation" data-cite="TeemuFoundation" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47362" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Hard no on more stats tbh. The TEW modding scene is tiny compared to EWR, and the TEW games need to be made more approachable for modding, not less. And so many of this stuff is so subjective anyway. The modders are not wrestlers. They don't work in the wrestling industry. They don't know what psychology is. We can only guess and estimate. The more specific the stats, the worse the mods IMO.<p> </p><p> I know this will never happen, but if it were up to me, wrestlers would have "in ring" and "mic skills", and then style, and that would be that lol. Or maybe "athleticism" to determine the ability to execute, and then "psychology" to determine the knowledge of what to execute. And the combo of these two would be a match rating.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I like that.</p>
  21. I may or may not have watched all of Revolution twice over the weekend... yes that's my favorite tag team match I have ever seen! I don't think I'll play AEW in TEW because I know I can't book as well as they do so I wouldn't do the company justice.
