Officially joining an RTG Challenge for the first time. Discovered TEW 2013 back in January. Didn't know I was missing a booking simulator from my life until I found it. Bankrupted my starting company four times so far. This is attempt #5, waited about 17 months before starting this post to make sure I could hopefully keep this running.
These are Big Smoke's starting stats:

This was Saskatchewan Wrestling Association's starting Product (formerly Southern Wrestling Association, switched to Canada and kept the logo):

Now for the basic rundown:
Started SWA, hired 98% Canadian workers. Got Marvin Earnest as my owner, so free announcer. Yay? Immediately went into debt, running three shows per month, all in week one. SWA Redesign, SWA Rebuild, SWA Reclaim. Clever, eh? Economy was like C and Rising, Industry was B and Falling. I was able to rush to Small and, luckily for me, Yoshifusa Maeda died, and I finally had a Booker Application accepted for BCG (Regional). This was mid-late April, I believe. BHOTWG made short work of my roster, signing all of our stars to Writtens, which is apparently the norm. Big Smoke had his best match in BCG, though:
Big Smoke (Black Canvas Grappling - Regional)
Game Date: May 2017
Best UC Match so far: B- : Sofu Ozawa & American Patriot def. Big Smoke & Rokuemon Matsushita (June 2016)
We had the Tsunami kill the economy/industry shortly after I got there, so all of the good stuff quickly dissipated. It was also my first time running a touring/Japanese company, but I really wanted to jump ship before I inevitably bankrupted them. In my previous four saves, I applied for every booking position just to see if I could get them. I never could.
So there we are, about 250k in the bank, losing 1-2k/month. I'm enjoying it, but panicking, so when ELPF (Local) is founded and looking for a Booker, I jumped on it. I'm assuming downgrading two levels isn't against the RTG rules, but feel free to let me know if I'm wrong. This was my first time running a European company as well, and I had to hire a roster again. The new year came around, and I rolled:
29. “So, Tell Me About Your Mother…”You have devoted your holiday season to training in the ring +5 to your Psychology skill.
I just recently made it to Small, and Production Values are coming into play. I'm trying to balance maintaining my barely 11 popularity against how many shows/workers I can run with Economy C and Falling, and Industry C and Rising.
If anyone has any tips and/or feedback, I'd love to hear it. Looking forward to being a part of RTG for a long time to come. (I just spent an hour typing up a post instead of actually playing. Go figure.)
