  1. The Architect is one of my favorites too. I trained the hell out of him in my 2013 save where I took MAW to Cult, and he was a decent promo putting on C+ to B matches constantly.
  2. Do AI companies ever set up TV shows without the show already existing in the database? I made a promotion at large regional and left it to the AI, they rose to Cult several months ago, but still have only monthly events.
  3. Just set the manager to manage and note the bodyguard to distract opponent(or interfere if you want them really involved).
  4. Based on the description I think storytelling matches are less intense, meaning physical abilities like stamina weigh less heavily but maybe top row skills do too?
  5. <p>AWE(custom promotion Avatar Wrestling Entertainment)</p><p> </p><p> Bret Heartbreak defeated Mexicain in final round of King of California tournament(filled with defunct GSW alumni on short term contracts), then lost to Zel Quinn in epic 30 minute iron man match for the main title at season finale. Will win midcard title within next 2 events. Then will lose it in cheap way when he's ready to be my figurehead.</p><p> </p><p> Outlaw Wes Revell will turn heel and join the faction he'd been feuding with previously(my own user error wrote this twist, I kept advancing him in the tournament without booking a proper tournament match, now saying he got favors he needs to return).</p><p> </p><p> New tag team Black Powah(random gen workers, a brawler and a guy with A performance and Ds in top row, future Dev trainer) wins vacated titles because Diamond Deuce got injured. Surgery failed and increased his time away.</p><p> </p><p> Jobbing a time declining Latinofear down the card for the next 8 or so months, his stamina won't even let him go 10 minutes without making match storytelling. Mexicain will hover in main event as a perpetual contender/obstacle to my faces.</p>
  6. Also you should have given him payed time off if you planned to not use him for a period of time.
  7. Only thing I can think of is training a replacement in undercard matches if your main ref is getting up there in years, though you could just hire an established referee when it becomes necessary.
  8. What is the specific mechanical effect of open match? I know what it means in wrestling terms, but it's not as documented as some other notes as far as what it does.
  9. <p>April 2029, big plans for my main event title. Zel Quinn currently has it with 6 defenses, tied for my record. A record I don't want him breaking. Dustin Deuce(now Diamond Deuce) may just be my next figurehead if he can train that charisma stat. Season finale scheduled for August with my tournament title in July, so I'm giving Quinn a kayfabe injury and I'll stick him on commentary to keep his storyline going and pump Deuce's success up.</p><p> </p><p> Bret Heartbreak just won his na na na na goodbye feud over Bullseye who isn't worth keeping without his awesome tag chemistry with Gravedigga. Hoping to scout out his camera skills since they show as excellent, he may be my figurehead since he's only 31 right now.</p><p> </p><p> Not sure what to do with the tag titles, currently sitting with Brown Pride. My only face team consists of Deuce and another main eventer, and one of my tag teams has a guy I want to push to the midcard title. Will either keep them main event or bring in my first discovered tag chemistry Cheech Kong and Devyn Retribution, The Chosen Ones.</p><p> </p><p> Bringing in young workers for tryouts, haven't found another NBT in awhile.</p>
  10. Just cut Tommy Cornell(Donnie J is now my road agent) and Christopher Ball(1k is waaay too much for a jobber who lost locker room leader status and has no above average top row skills) to save money while I fast track my growth with a TV show at Regional. Stuntman got poached by my war rival IWC, and Seignour Richard went to one of the big feds(bye bye A* star quality, time to train Dustin Deuce's charisma to figurehead levels if I can, unless Bret Heartbreak scouts better).
  11. Bought the GSW King of California title for sentimental reasons, planning to bring in some GSW alumni and current CZCW and IPW workers on 1/2 appearance contracts to fill out the tournament. Also have a TV show on the CVerse 97 northwest region broadcaster, hoping I don't go bankrupt running 5 events without writtens, but I signed the shortest possible deal, went more long term for events. Also started a war with Mark Smart's IWC, so far none of my dirty tricks have worked but I want to stop them from rising to Cult. Gave TCW a development fed but they haven't been using it for that. I started it off as child company and they filled their own roster, so maybe no room for developmentals. Considering upping new workers and injuries to the top level.
  12. <p>July, user initiated rise from small to lightweight= Zel Quinn is now ripped and B- star quality</p><p> </p><p> September, randomly after my event= Zel Quinn is now flabby with C+ star quality</p><p> </p><p> Guess the figurehead search goes on, time to scout those other 20 somethings, and see if I can build up Seignour Richard's C- charisma to go with his A* star quality.</p>
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="KnowYourEnemy" data-cite="KnowYourEnemy" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I'd have him manage two wrestlers -- sort of like DDP in the freeboards -- and occasionally stepping in the ring in trios matches and the occasional tag match on the undercard. I'd team him up with someone who has a decent comedy rating, so he can perform comedy tag matches -- good undercard guy.<p> </p><p> Maybe consider using him as a backup color commentator.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> True I could use him as a manager or commentator, but his popularity is rising pretty organically(C- in a regional fed), so I'm pairing him up with "sports agent" Tommy Cornell and giving him the midcard title with manager interference, freeing up my current midcard champ for bigger things down the line. I never use comedy or hardcore stuff in TEW since it just doesn't seem to get good results, I tend to favor Japanese Junior, technician, and luchador workers, and end up with a good mix of brawlers just because they're plentiful.</p>
  14. So I have a 26 year old worker with weak on all top row skills and not growing no matter how much I stick him in there with better workers, but excellent performance, strong entertainment and very strong camera. Should I use him like Heath Slater, lots of air time, not alot of wins?
  15. So it's February 2029 and since I'm profitable, I'm bringing in 50 year old retired Tommy Cornell as a road agent for my regional fed.
  16. Will indy sleaze events happen to promotions with indy sleaze owners and player character bookers? Also, workers date, workers break up, but does one worker ever break up a relationship between 2 others, Edge/Matt Hardy style? Does respect matter for road agent performance? I know it needs to be high for them to take the role when they retire, but if I force a non road agent into the role will they be better or worse than an official road agent with lower psychology?
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="d12345" data-cite="d12345" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Isn't losing your bonuses a hit? You lose merchandising money, you lose their Star Quality for National Battles and you lose the added ticket sales/attendance that they provide.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> What I meant is, the bonuses go away AND you take a "lost figurehead" penalty similar to having a bad figurehead.</p>
  18. Can AI promotions start a child company, or take a bankrupt existing company as a development fed? Also is there a hit for losing your figurehead, beyond just losing the bonuses?
  19. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Slagaholic" data-cite="Slagaholic" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41174" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Have you considered importing the TV networks from DerekB's CVerse 97 mod? It really opens things up small television deal wise.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Wow, that's awesome.</p>
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="scorpion" data-cite="scorpion" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41263" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Cameron "J-Man" Jones<p> Quentin "Q-Man" Queen</p><p> Seth "Man With No Nickname" Whitehead</p><p> </p><p> wanted some feedback on playing with nicknames to name the stable-</p><p> </p><p> JQX</p><p> JQ?</p><p> ?QJ (pronounced WhyQJ)</p><p> </p><p> or </p><p> </p><p> WhiQJ (And yes the last two are playing of of Y2J)</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The Lettermen. Have them come out wearing Varsity jackets, Jones with a J, Queen with a Q, and Whitehead with a ? on the chest.</p>
  21. Training younger workers, getting them a bit more over before they appear on TV, testing for chemistry, getting people into season finale, all without lowering show grade or eating more valuable time.
  22. Need a new name for my "Roughneck Crew" stable, once I add Major Junta and turn it from a street gang to a mercenary style faction. Membership will be 2 tag teams, "The Soldiaz"(Junta and Shady K), and "Mean Streetz"(Gravedigga and Bullseye).
  23. Simmering tensions go away if nothing makes them worse for awhile, I think if someone dislikes or hates your avatar though it stays like that the rest of the game.
