  1. I initially had the same issue as you. If you highlight your TEW 2020 bottle on the side menu and click the drop down settings at the bottom of that menu you can turn off "Performance Enhanced Graphics" which seems to have fixed my issues.

I haven't had a single freeze or crash yet and I've run 2.5 months on my 2004 save. Before that I was lucky to get through one day before freezing.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to try this at some point. In the meantime, another issue I had on CrossOver was that when the worker/company images are shown as smaller versions (Creative Meeting screen, for example) the quality would get extremely bad. Did you find a fix for this, too?

  2. It might be too late past the development stage to ask this, but is there any way we can convince GDS to make a Mac port? I'm in a pool of people who have upgraded their Macs this year only to find TEW2020 is not able to run, even through Wine or CrossOver. We're patiently waiting for Parallels to release their latest app version but it will cost us more than double the cost of TEW2020.

As such, if a Mac port was released at a higher price than the Windows port, guaranteeing native support, I'd be happy to spend that extra bit of cash to support GDS in doing so and I'm sure many others would be, too.

  3. I've been playing TEW for years on Mac (using Wineskin, these tutorials have been great!) but after upgrading with the latest OS I think I'm out of luck this time. I've tried everything but just can't get this to work at all. Installation was fine, even managed to license the game, but it won't boot up the game afterwards.

EDIT: Quick update, I downloaded the CrossOver 14-day trial and within 2 minutes, TEW2020 is running like a dream. Only takes up about 600mb rather than over a gb too. Obviously CrossOver costs money but for anyone upgrading to BigSur on Mac, this might be the way forward. Super simple set-up too!

  4. I'm 4.5 years into a local to global save using this mod and just wanted to say, again, that it's absolutely incredible work. I already loved the TEW2016 version but playing an updated one on TEW2020 has been a blast so far.

My only gripe is that there are a bunch of duplicate workers. I should've taken note of them as they debuted but I stupidly didn't. Off the top of my head - Rene Paquette/Renee Young, Athena/Ember Moon and Apoc/Apocalypse spring to mind. Would be great if you could clean this up for others (I've done it on my end as I see the dupes pop up), but otherwise this mod is stellar.

Thanks again for all the work put into this :D

  5. Your workers are probably too popular for their psychology level.

TEW has always had this rubber banding logic where the penalties overwhelm any positives about your worker combination. Thus TEW is mostly a game about managing and limiting penalties more than anything.

Instead of putting two workers who have in ring in the 90s, put one worker who has 100 in ring and another who has like 70 or so. This will make it so the penalty won’t trigger and you will end up with a 95 rated match or so.

This is good to know, thank you. I'll need to change my prebookings for most of the year's upcoming main events so, haha.

  6. Can someone please clarify the penalties matches get when workers don't have enough psychology to hold it together? All my matches are getting this even if they're below 10 mins. Most of the workers I book have 70+ psych, averaging around 80-90 usually in the main event scene. I don't understand this feature at all, would love someone to help me.

I remember in 2016 Psych was used for calling matches in the ring or slow building, etc. but now it seems engrained in literally everything. Even matches I've ran below 8 minutes that were scripted in the ring are getting penalised, and that's with workers with mid 70's psych anyway.

I'm just at a loss as to how to solve this one. It's pretty disheartening to build up a really nice main event, see the workers get 95-100 in-ring performances and then the rating gets pulverised and you're left with a 75-80 match rating.
