<p>Autopush Future Main Eventer</p><p> </p><p> Quick Question: I'm playing an 80s mod, now into 1989. I have Brian Pillman under contract and have been pushing him hard in a tag team with Mad Dog Capone for over a year. He's improved very quickly, and gained a lot of popularity.</p><p> </p><p> But auto push has not put him higher than midcarder, and I dont't know why. He's good in the ring...</p><p> <img alt="ZIc8QCG.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZIc8QCG.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ...is well liked...</p><p> <img alt="0DItUTF.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0DItUTF.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ...has high star quality...</p><p> <img alt="zF9F7al.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zF9F7al.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ... and is popular enough.</p><p> <img alt="STnLZzD.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/STnLZzD.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Could it be that having a contract that says he'd be a Future Main Eventer caps his auto push?</p><p> <img alt="7GwFH6W.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7GwFH6W.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

So in my 80s mod one of my rising stars (hint: it's Sting) left to shoot a movie on Tuesday, Week 4, September 1988. Luckily for me, I had him for my September event on Sunday, Week 3 where he lost a title match to Barry Windham and for a nice send-off (aka beatdown) on my regular Monday show. Right after he left, I checked his stats to see what kind of impact the movie biz would have on him. I copied these: Popularity: 96 (in all US areas) Microphone: 80 Charisma: 97 Acting: 97 SQ: 98 Sex: 89 He just returned after shooting his movie, and I checked his stats again: Popularity: 88 or 89 (in all US areas) (-7 or -8) Microphone: 76 (-4) Charisma: 88 (-9) Acting: 94 (-3) SQ: 98 (-2) Sex: 89 (+/- 0) I had hoped that these were skills that would actually increase due to his movie work. But apparently they do not. Maybe he did porn for 4 months without much direction or anyone telling him what to do? But I did a deeper dive, and looked at his other skills as well. And low and behold, what the hell did he do during his time off? Once again, he was filming his movie from the end of September until the end of January. So about that hardcore, chain wrestling and flashiness...I'm even more convinced now that he did porn. At least his performance didn't suffer while he was on "set". But this is the most telling one. Apparently, when a worker leaves to shoot a movie, they get their entertainment skill gains immediately. And those were what I used to try to compare. But it is still strange, that he lost Charisma and Mic Skills during his movie months. Sex appeal went up though. Yep. He did porn.

I'm using an old school mod, I think 1983 or something. I forgot. I've been playing since January 1983...now in January 1989. Georgia Championship Wrestling, going back and forth between International and National size. I left the NWA, because my guys had a habit of getting injured on other shows. I renamed my top 3 titles to NWA World's Heavyweigt, NWA National and NWA World's Tag Team. GCW Titles don't work internationally... Franchise Players: 1. Ric Flair (39, Figurehead, hasn't been Champion in over a year) 2. Randy Savage (36, on a PPA deal, because his own promotion will not go broke...) 3. Barry Windham (28, has been NWA World's Champion for all of 1988) 4. Ted DiBiase (34, teams with Jake Roberts as the Ring Generals and won the tag titles 8 times so far) 5. Rick Rude (6. Sting, currently out filming a movie...) Next Big Things 1. Masahiro Chono (25, had to get another Japanes speaker after signing Misawa, currently in The Dark Saints with Misawa and Arn) 2. Mitsuharu Misawa (26, see above, former Tag champ with Dr. Death, who left) 3. Scott Steiner (26, teaming with Rick) 4. Mad Dog Capone (23, current Tag champ with Brian Pilliman; the artist later to become the Undertaker) Hot Prospects 1. Mascara Sagrada (29, lower midcarder, can't find a good use for him) 2. Doc Dean (18, acquired when I took over an English promotion, enhancement dude) 3. Jacques Rougeau (28, good hand, trying to find a role for him) 4. Doug Furnas (27, midcarder, developing nicely, teaming with La Fon) 5. Jeff Jarrett (21, midcarder, developing nicely) Talk The Talk 1. Flair 2. Savage 3. Windham 4. Jerry Lawler (brought him in half a year ago, been my midcard champ since then, to help the midcard guys develop) 5. Larry Hagman (user character) Show Stoppers. 1. Flair 2. Ricky Steamboat (just recently returned as a midcarder for a second run after leaving, is going to join forces again with main eventer Bob Armstrong as Working On A Steambob) 3. Windham 4. Lawler (I should try to move him up the card, I guess...) 5. Misawa Ring Generals 1. Lawler (I really should...) 2. Steamboat 3. DiBiase 4. Jerry Stubbs (slowly and steadyly built him up, he teamed with Savage for a long time. Developed very nicely, but is also already 36 years old) 5. Flair Who's hot 1. Mad Dog (won the tag titles recently, is a main eventer already, while Pillman is stuck in midcard hell) 2. Windham (well, being world champ for a year and all...) 3. Arn Anderson (leader of the Dark Saints, will challenge for the title once this stable runs its course in about half a year) 4. Phil La Fon (no idea why) 5. Robbie Brookside (been trying to elevate him from enhancement for about a year now, also acquired from England, he's an opener now...) Who's not 1. Mike von Erich (has hit his ceiling, is being moved down the card and phased out, lower midcarder) 2. George South (good skills, good hand, loses a lot) 3. Tracy Smothers (didn't develop well, but still a midcarder) 4. Mascara Sagrada (see above) 5. Jake Roberts (UM, but lost quite a few times since he and DiBiase split, will change soon) Time Decline 1. Ole Anderson (owner, I wish he retired. It's hard to move him down the card. Been in TD for 5 years now...) Hidden Gems 1. Jourdan Taylor (no idea who this is, some Manitoban wild man) 2. Tyrone Sell (who?) 3. Art Barr (ohhh, he just showed up. I may be interested) 4. Shane Douglas 5. Norman Smiley -
I had Jake Roberts wrestle high on painkillers. I send him to rehab for 6 months. His first show back, he was high again. I sent him to rehab again. This time he lasted about a month after his return before he was high again, so I sent him to rehab for the third and last time. Ever since he came back, he's been clean (18 months so far).

<p>Quick question: If I cancel a TV deal, will I be able to negotiate and make deals with other networks?</p><p> </p><p> I once had an issue where I couldn't sign with other networks, because of a previous deal. I don't remember if I cancelled a deal before that issue or if I failed to produce good enough shows.</p>

Just wanted to say, that people replying in this thread are what makes this game and its community even better. Great help as always, with Adam leading the way. The forums helped me understand the game(s) a lot better, when I first started playing way back when it was still EWR.
