After looking through your first card, I'll weigh in with a few thoughts:

Good to see you got Mauro Ranallo doing play-by-play in your commentary team (and I'm not just saying this because I'm familiar with his work from ECCW and Top Ranked Wrestling in my neck of the woods from the mid-2000s). Ranallo's just one of the best play-by-play men currently in the wrestling biz, period.

I don't know who Danhausen is since I haven't followed his career, but he appear to combine elements of Sting, Vampiro (and according to Wikipedia, Conan O'Brien mixed with Mark Hamill's Joker from Batman: TAS) and he does sound like an interesting character.

Even though Rick Rude's been gone for over two decades now IRL, having him team with Robert Roode as the Roode Brothers in this diary sounds compelling and they ought to get a push for tag team gold.

Remaking Matt Hardy as "Dr. Von Hardy" and Jeff Hardy as a modified version of his original ring persona Willow the Wisp? Hmmm...

I remember Brian Pillman from his Stampede and WCW days and his late run in the WWF as part of the expanded Hart Foundation, and his son Brian Jr. has real potential to follow the success of his dad, especially with Chris Jericho mentoring him. Brian Sr. would be proud.

Nice to see Taz mentoring his son Hook as the latter makes his way into the wrestling biz.

Bringing together three of the more recent wrestling icons (Edge, Johnny Nitro/Mundo/Morrison and the Miz) just might be an attention-getter here.

And finally, Brock Lesnar remade with a Viking gimmick as Bjørn Larsen? I'd sure like to see where this goes (kind of like a modern day version of '70s wrestler Eric the Red, but in better shape and with more skills).

All in all, a good first event.

    Thank you for the thoughts!

I'm ready to rock with Boogs! Looking forward to the Boog-Tacular for sure.

It is always a good time with the Boogs!

Eric Bugenhagen in standing in the ring as soon as the show goes on-air. Mic in hand, he begins to discuss the history of professional wrestling.

    He states,

    "But none of that matters...

    This is a new era...

    The Boog's Era...

    Rick The Stick...

    Ricky Del Hagen...

I am the face of professional wrestling."

The fans cheer! They can't get enough of Bugenhagen!

    rMq0pCi.jpg

"All Ego" Ethan Page comes out from the back, the first debut in Boog's WWW!

Once in the ring, he is handed a mic.

    "That's where you're wrong.

I am the face of professional wrestling.

I have always been the face of professional wrestling.

And I will prove that tonight."

He throws down his mic and the two men prepare for a match

The match started slow, with both men playing to the crowd.

They were obviously behind Bugenhagen the whole way.

Once Rick The Stick took over, he never let go.

The match ended when Bugenhagen sent All Ego to the mat from the top rope with a Military Press Slam.

Danhausen is in a dark room.

He looks menacing, more menacing than normal.

    He talks about a curse.

A curse that is plaguing professional wrestling.

    What could that mean?

    Will we ever find out?

This match is a great show of skill from both teams.

The Rude Brothers show an exceptional amount of chemistry, as every double team move they do is with perfect timing.

Robert isolated Daniel Garcia on the outside, giving Rick time to hit the Rude Awakening on Lee Moriarty for the win

Dr. Von Hardy: "Soon we will be able to save the world of professional wrestling!"

Who should Hook's first opponent be? (Could be anyone!)

Obviously something is "cursing" professional wrestling and there's something strange going on with Dr. Von Hardy. What could it be?

Who is signed to his company? You'll have to wait and see when the first show airs in your living room. The First Annual Wrestling Boog-tacular!!!

My problem with TEW saves has always been once I'm booking, there's always someone or something I want to book that is in either another company or era. So my way of fixing that is creating an alternate universe where I can do whatever I want and just have fun.

I have been a fan of Bugenhagen since before he ever stepped foot in a wrestling ring, so I'm excited to tell a story with him.

A fake crowd noise is played, chanting "Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lo." The door busts open with a large Hawaiian exiting, coughing. He shows off with some punches. Pakalolo makes his way out for his match.

  11. April 2020

    W5IN7L1.jpg

Brian Quinn, comedian and Impractical Jokers star, approaches a group of investors about an idea. With not being able to work on his television shows or do comedy because of COVID, he turns to one of his other passions. Professional wrestling. His idea is an episodic wrestling show, (think Lucha Underground) with original characters and great wrestling. The investors love the idea, but with a few stipulations. He must bring in advisors with experience in the pro wrestling world, and he must have medical staff for COVID safety.

Brian, with his unnamed advisors, start searching for the roster. Unbeknownst to Brian, one of his investors has stake in NBC. A one hour, graveyard slot on SYFY has been secured for one season of programming, with an opportunity to get renewal with a better time slot if the show succeeds.

    June 2020

COVID was suppressed by June and the first taping was set for the end of the month in Staten Island, New York. No roster is announced before hand. Fans will go in blind to find out what APEX will really be.

    j8cxy82.jpg

*So I've started and gave up on about 3 diaries in my time playing TEW. That's TEW for you. I think those failed because I tried doing something too big. This is a smaller save with a more focused idea. Just booking 1 hour shows I can get a lot more done and not get burned out. Yes, I know the APEX logo is from a UK company, but I couldn't think of a good idea for a company name and logo, and this logo inspired me with a lot of ideas.*

  12. The WWF is 90 pop in some areas and high 80's in other areas. Do you think you can run 90 rated shows with squashes for WWF Superstars? I'd love to see it Jamhead. I'm not being a jerk I'm honestly saying that I run things like Warrior/Savage and come out with like a 91 with Hulk, Warrior, Savage and The Million Dollar man all cutting nearly 100 rated promos :) So if someone else can run a "card" of Superstars from 91 have it be realistic to the time and still get that rating I'd love to see it so I can duplicate it.

Yes, you can do it. Match focus and angle focus in your product is very important. Set the match focus to Main Event Spotlight and set angle focus to Tight Focus. You will enjoy the game a lot more that way without really changing anything.

  13. Roster mock-ups are complete. Now I am going to begin work on creating all companies and their logos. Haven't got as much time as I've wanted to work on this as I have started back up with work and do not have a whole lot a free time. My original plan at doing whole companies at a time and completing them will take way too long with the time that I have available.

Punk walks over and grabs a mic from the timekeepers area. He goes on about how last night he saw Henry at a hotel bar drinking. He says that he would not step into a ring with a possibly intoxicated person and risk injury.

Punk: "I am trying to show Mark Henry, and the rest of you people watching, that Straight Edge means that I am better than you."

Going to look at maybe a product change to get better show ratings, but I will test some things out before doing anything. Overall I am happy with the show. I broke off from real life a significant bit here because I had some ideas pop up. Testing out different kind of write up here that takes less time and will be easier to do more often. I will still definitely do the longer write ups on main shows, but let me know on opinions of these write ups.

Here is the poll from wwe.com. So now we know Shelton is advancing and you can replace Mark Henry with Punk's mystery opponent. Feel free to answer the poll as it gives me a feeling of what direction you all think I am going to go. Whoever gets the most polls correct within a certain time period will get a reward. I am thinking maybe give me a challenge of some sort, haven't quite figured out what I want to do with that yet.

    Any feedback is always welcomed!

  15.
Also, while I'm thinking about it, since some places just don't have any well known referees or announcers, what would be the best plan of action?

I had two thoughts about this:

    1. Scrounge around the internet and just get some relatively unknown people.

or 2. Use well know people that aren't associated with professional wrestling or professional wrestling internet personalities if there are any from the area.

If I went with option two, I wouldn't be making any of them super popular or "overpowered" they would just be used for the name and picture and people could use them however they would like.

Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

  16. Still slowly working on it. Been taking some time to actually play the full game. Almost have every roster planned out as I figured that would be the best thing to get done first. Also been running sims with the companies that I have done to make sure they run how intended. Will post some screenshots within the next few days.

The two men stare down each other face to face.

Bret: "Shawn Michaels. I'll just call you Shawn. I think I'd like to take this opportunity right now to bury the hatchet with you, and call for a truce.

HBK: "First of all Hitman, before you come out here and get your closure, there's something I've been waiting twelve years to say to you. The fact is, you deserved what happened twelve years ago in Montreal."

The fans boo in disagreement and begin chanting "You screwed Bret!"

Shawn goes on to explain himself and how he has changed as a person. He says how he couldn't stand the sight of Bret back in the day. He changes his tone and begins praising Bret for their iron-man match in Anaheim, California and how good of a "sports entertainer" he is.

HBK: "I guess all I have to say is: Are you sure? and Are you ready?"

Bret then explains that he is ready, and offers his hand out to HBK. After some deliberation, Shawn agrees and shakes his hand.

HBK begins to leave the ring, teases a Sweet Chin Music, but turns around and gives Bret a hug before leaving the ring.

As Shawn leaves, Bret has more to say.

    Overall Show Rating: 65

Obviously not a great rating, but the mod doesn't start with storylines with any heat and I couldn't generate enough storylines with heat before the end of the show, so that hurt the rating a lot. Next weeks RAW will definitely branch off from real life and start some new storylines. Hopefully I can pull these ratings back because with our popularity so high and the product restrictions it is going to be very hard to not lose popularity.
