1. I love to play this setting, so I'm thankful for this mod, but it does have some issues. As already pointed out, there's no Power Plant (and thus the wrestlers that come through it as first refusal for WCW won't be available that way), WWF may be a bit overpowered in the mod (AI WWF is casually booking 99-rated matches all the time on Raw, which is incredibly unrealistic for 95-96 WWF), and some of the TV Broadcasting stuff is setup real screwy.

To elaborate further on the last point, I've run into a serious glitch the way things are set up. Nitro is set to be on TNT and Saturday Night and Main Event are set for TBS. I don't remember if that's accurate or not, but doesn't sound too off. Minor problem is TBS expects a min rating of 64 out of Saturday Night, but it's set up as a B show! Why would it be configured this way? But more significant problem is that once the shows on TBS run out, it's impossible to renew them. I get blocked by Turner Media because of conflicting coverage on another of their networks. So it seems like Nitro being on TNT means I can't have Saturday Night or Main Event shown on anything Turner-related? I don't understand that at all, but this is what the game's telling me.

Really late reply, but this might help someone else in the future, all the TNT networks are down as being owned by Time Warner, whereas WCW is owned by Turner Broadcasting.

It won't allow you to renew Nitro then too, before starting the game either move TNT and TBS to Turner Broadcasting. Or can just move WCW to Time Warner or remove the ownership by TBS.

  2. 30 in TEW translates to awful, even the worst is the business can attempt some and be awful at it.

In TEW stats convert to this (based on TEW 2016 text descriptions)

    30 - Awful

    45 - Not Awful

    55 - Decent

    70 - Good

    80 - Great

    90 - Excellent

Hulk Hogan and Percy Pringle in a high spot match would be awful, they both have 30 in Ariel and Flashiness. How would having 30 in any stat get you a good match? If they get a good match it will be because of the product and Hogan's popularity, not because of the stats. Stick Hogan vs Percy Pringle in a high spots match in a promotions where they care about in-ring performance and not about popularity and it will tank.

Anyway I'm a fan of the rounded stats, all my mods mods use this system as fair warning.

If you disagree with any of the skills in terms of the text discriptions please do post and I'll check them out.

Regarding the Internet darlings, they are usually Internet darlings for a reason and that's because they are good

How long do the rounded stats actually last for anyway? 1 year game time everyone would be different anyway. Hardly seems worthwhile for you to even consider changing it if anyone asked.

  3. Lots of good info! Thanks Alv! I'll go through the data again at some point to check it out.

I made the mistake of making all promotions have a fixed schedule. I'll be correcting that for the next release.

I'm sure you're aware already but the AI will not create events at the start if there's already a few set. So WWF will be stuck with 1 event forever. Whilst the AI created schedules will be full.

  5. I don't see any of my unimportant workers with a green (positive) momentum, despite a handful of them having very good win-loss records (I a doing a lot to push some of these guys).

What on Earth do you have to do to get unimportant workers some momentum? I have one guy who has a 7-1 win-loss record, one of those wins was against a Recognisable worker at my season finale (not pre-show), but momentum still neutral. Kind of sucks as I thought the new "Perception" system would have him at least getting a little momentum, since after all of these wins (most on TV, not pre-show and against workers higher up the card), surely my fans would "perceive" him as someone to look out for?

It seems their momentum can go the other way (red).

This the unimportant part of the perception system seems completely broken.

  6. Just so you know, I am the one requesting things, not powerbrock. He is simply standing up for me.

It's pretty clear I know it's you with the first line of the post...

End of the day if you have suggestions make them, I'm sure Landxx will appreciate it. However if you're going to choose to speak down to him about it then why should he even make another update. He does it in his own time for free.

  7. By asking for an accurate mod? I will never get this forum. I also use a different mod but idk what's wrong with pointing out potential errors and inaccuracies. Everyone puts a huge emphasis on phrasing for some reason. If it's a valid suggestion/correction it's irrelevant imo.

Have you read any of his posts? No modder refuses help or information, but you usually do it without a sense of entitlement. Landxx works hard on the mod, they shouldn't be getting remarks for not watching all wrestling. When people want to be an arse about the mods not being the way you want, then make your own. It's no surprise modders decide it's not worth their time and effort.

  8. There are definitely better products for AEW than ruthless aggression. With all due respects, you’d rather be able to run a little bit of hardcore than be able to do more matches than angles. With ruthless aggression it is 40-60 matches to angles. In AEW it’s like 75-25. Please listen to what the people want. Also you should make a list detailing all of the changes because I think people would be annoyed if they loaded into an AEW save just to find out that it’s ruthless aggression product. How does ruthless aggression even relate to AEW?

Nobody is listening to you now, if you don't like it don't use it. I prefer a different real world mod but the amount of work Landxx has to put in to keep this updated is huge and I appreciate it. You're completely entitled and you give the community a bad name.

  10. I am not speaking for QuestLove but doing puroresu/NJPW schedules is super difficult since they are just random amalgamations of tour shows, "Road To" shows, big shows, Korakuen shows, NJPW USA shows, and more that change month to month and year to year. Your best bet is to just do the schedule how you want it when you start the game as what is in this mod is already super close to real life and more than a sufficient start for anyone.

I would second this, although not 100% accurate it is probably set up the best way it can be for how the game is.

  11. Really love this Mod. I'm coming towards the end of my first year.

Do I need to worry about new workers? I can see that they are already being generated automatically from workers that are already stored in the database. However none seem to be coming out of the dojos.

Why I ask is that I am thinking of creating my own Dojo. However if it will not generate any workers then I will not bother.

I think the regular dojos have been set to no graduation so fake workers aren't generated. Only the people who debuted in real life. If you create your own it won't have graduation set to no so you will get new guys through it.

Since the idea came in the first TEW released after that version of NXT was a thing, it made sense to me.

I actually ran a version of it in a TCW game once upon a time. It was a really great to bring up development guys or indie stars without jobbing them immediately. Basically, I stuck each wrestler with a mentor, and each for each win over the course of a month, they would get points. Instead of having a fan vote to eliminate guys, the two guys with the least amount of points would fight and the loser would be eliminated. Rinse and repeat until there was only one man standing.

Could easily run a story of a guy always being bottom but winning when the stakes were raised.

  13. As soon as I start using the auto-booker to finish off shows. That's the time to play something else.

Sometimes the spreadsheeting can feel like my actual job, but I kinda like that. It's using my practical knowledge for something goofy and fun.

To be honest, I spend far more enjoyable time mapping stuff out than the actual booking I think. As long as my ratings are around my size or above I don't really worry.

  14. Suffered a setback on the data this evening. Went to back up my work and deleted the wrong file. Shouldn't take me too long to get back to where I was because I'm learning the editor quite quickly now, but it's still annoying as hell.

My current plan is to tackle JCP and WWF workers and attributes and then possibly post the data for a beta test.

    Very frustrated.

As much as I want the data, if you're getting frustrated don't hesitate to take a break mate. All working under anger will do is give you more work in the future.

  15. FreeSports is a tiny broadcaster, very small at the absolute maximum. They aren't on a similar level of viewership figures or notoriety as BBC One or ITV1 for example.

If they were a very big broadcaster, MLW wouldn't be anywhere near them.

I'd second this, it has a lot of sports on it that some of my friends are interested in and they aren't even aware of it. It's one of those channels that is lost in the abyss.

Shawn Michaels, for instance, wins it often. There's no other way to really simulate that.

Absolutely the right thing to do as Bret Hart won it that year, and from then on(outside of Bret again in 1993) it was a sort of you're heading to the main event tournament.
