Shane McMahon was murdered in August 2019 at the age of 49, with several wrestlers accusing Paul Levesque and Stephanie McMahon of knowing about his potential death but letting it happen anyway. This was even said to be part of a plot to take over the company. As a result of this, several wrestlers such as A.J. Styles, John Cena, The Hardy Boys, Shinsuke Nakamura, Austin Aries, Chris Jericho, and Kevin Owens left the company either to start their own company, become a booker, or wrestle in other promotions.
Libertine Wrestling Federation formed in January 2022, but they had a terrible pool of wrestlers to choose from, resulting in the first few episodes being total dogcrap except for practically every angle involving the 23-year-old owner and head booker of the company, Josh Drake, a former race car driver from the WRA (his career along with the other drivers is detailed in a dynasty I made on Operation Sports.) who has an Atheist (Legitimate) gimmick. His angles were rated no lower than 95 and he is the only reason why LWF manages to survive. I plan on having a dynasty with this company later.
Unfortunately, Lucha Underground, along with pretty much half of the promotions that started the game closed down, going from 158 promotions to just 98 in 3 years.
