go to your control panel (the "user cp" link), click "edit options", scroll down to "thread display options" and then check the box next to "Show Images (including attached images and images in code)"

might be best for, in the editor, there to be two gender selection options: one to select the person's actual gender (so the game genders them correctly and applies the correct pronouns to them) and one to select what titles they would compete for/who they would fight in a non-integrated company, just so the game can handle that properly if and when it happens.
