So I started an attempt of this shortly after the game's release, but that attempt kinda fizzled out. I was a Hall of Famer in RTG 2016, so I should probably make an honest attempt in this one as well. Especially since it'll be interesting to do as a longer more dedicated series outside of my YT stuff. This is taking place in a 2006 Real World mod as well, but I plan to act as if I don't know the future outcome of anyone outside of their ratings at that moment in time. Nevertheless, rambling aside, here is what I'm starting off with:

<p>Year 1 (plus a couple of months) in the bag!</p><p> </p><p> Thanks to work restarting and the other TEW stuff I'm doing, it's been a bit harder for me to get to this as often as some of you have. Nevertheless, my challenge is still going well! Decent little strategy I have going to hopefully lead to further success as time goes on. Everything can be seen within the video linked below, although the last 10-15 minutes or so are just recapping the world outside of the challenge so not as necessarily. First update of my attempt (with video) I commend the hell out of some of you already a couple of years in. Doing a lot of other TEW content, I haven't been able to get too far into mine. I'm only 6 months in, but already making strides in many areas. Got a video if you'd like to see the progress for yourself, including the mystery box rolls, which will be linked in this, but other than my starter company's money, I'm not doing too bad so far. I went back into the skills after I had already randomized the skills, so that's why it showed a different thing at the bottom. Here we go! Super excited to be doing this in this year's game! Kept wanting to redo an attempt in 2016 after hitting that HoF status in it and never did, so I'm excited to make things happen in this one! (This is being done in a real world based database starting in October 2014.) Real Wrestling Action is my starting company taking place in the Midwest with a Silver Age Pro Wrestling product. The idea behind the company is kinda similar to NWA in the sense of it being a throwback to older wrestling and mostly in-ring action that still features characters and whatnot. CR Daredevil is an 18 year old middleweight technician who wears a mask everywhere he seems to go, as if trying to hide his identity from the world... for some reason.... (Side note, I did do the Quick Skill Creation tool and got really lucky with my stats adding up to 879 not counting Respect and Resilience. If this is an issue to start it this high, I can edit the stats down before I get too far into it. Feel like the Skill Creation causes higher than 750 a lot though, so maybe the first option should be higher? Just a thought.) The added benefit of this attempt is that the shows and whatnot will be recorded for my YouTube channel (CRDaredevil05 if it's not obvious lol), so you can watch my triumphs and failures along the way if you'd like. Look forward to seeing everyone else continue to progress in this!

Super excited for this! As a HoF from 2016's RTG, I've been watching this thread and getting more and more excited to attempt it again in 2020. Very much a fan of the new changes and can't wait to see how things end up!

Anyone else having a weird issue with the Sept data download? Everytime I download it and run it through my RAR extractor, it shows nothing in the folders. Never had this problem before, so it's kinda weird.

All matches will be scripted early on to help with the lower psychology people I'll be bringing in. Anywho... <p>Take 2?</p><p> </p><p> Well hello there fellow RTG challenge partakers/followers. I am CRDaredevil05, someone who already completed the rigorous RTG challenge before with a lot of luck basically. Lol.</p><p> </p><p> Anywho, I have decided to make a second attempt at this to see if I can do it again. Only this time... I'm streaming it on Twitch for the world to see! That's right, doing a streaming version of the RTG challenge and even getting this challenge out there and known for those who don't know about it already. I will be putting the site for it in the description of my YouTube videos with hopes that maybe I can turn others towards wanting to do this as well. </p><p> </p><p> That being said, you can find me on either Twitch or YouTube under the username CRDaredevil05. I can't promise a set schedule for streaming the challenge because I'm a college student in a relationship and about to start a new job. Basically it'll be this only without the RTG wrestler part and with more restrictions on my end. Tis a bit minor, but... Hey, I love the mod, definitely glad you're doing it. I did notice one weird thing though. It has Bully Ray and Velvet Sky dating in the game, which they are in real life, but it also has Bully Ray listed as being married to someone outside of the business. When I was doing my RTG save, I had it pop up that he got divorced and found myself incredibly confused, so I checked the database. Thanks.

It took almost 5 and a half years, hundreds of shows, a rise to Global status in the world and a near-perfect show (all matches were A's except for one B+. However, it has happened! A* main event match on a PPV! And retaining the title against Aaron Stevens, who was David's recent rival, was just the icing on the cake! </p><p> </p><p> I'll probably continue going with this to see what kind of career David ends up with, but I may start this again and add even more restrictions on myself like the ability to only hire unemployed people alone instead of being able to steal them away from other companies during offer battles or some other kind of restriction. Nevertheless, I'm not sure it'll be added to the first page of this since it doesn't seem to have been updated in a long time, but I'm excited for it nonetheless!</p><p> </p><p> Best of luck to anyone else still doing this, I'll pop in from time to time to keep an eye on it or to possibly even start another one in a little while. For now though, it's on to a bit more of a fantasy booking kind of save now.</p>

<p>Year 5 is now in the books</p><p> </p><p> Another year down and another great year upon us. Iowa Pro Wrestling is the number 1 company in the world, has been for about 4 months now. We've hit International size and have been there for a couple of months now (we had been at it for a couple of months before, but dropped shortly after). The IPW Network is doing great with our lowest coverage being Medium in USA and Japan. We're running 4 shows a week now (one major and one minor for each brand) as well as 2 PPVs a month (one for each brand). There's 42 companies in the world left (one new one from last year). 2 of those are our developmental companies as well, PWX which was founded by us and SHINE which we saved from being closed, and both are in the top 20 in the world now as well. </p><p> </p><p> David Arnold has been killing it as well. He's been doing at least B+ performances in every single match now and has participated in many A rated matches. He was ranked 26 in the Power 500 and actually won the Young Wrestler of the Year award this past year. He ended up with a fair amount of simmering tensions this year though due to letting people go from written deals for backstage problems or terrible in-ring performances. However, he has a booking rep of A* and a booking skill of B+. He's doing great both as a wrestler and as a booker. He's 12-19-1 this year so far (started this playthrough in June for those confused by that) but his lowest rated match this year is a B. He also won the IPW Duos championships (tag belts) with Mark Shurman, but unfortunately only held them for 3 weeks and no defenses before dropping them again. Nevertheless, he's been a quality star in the company even with only 2 championship reigns to his name. Another decent roll. I deciced to use the random number generator and ended up with 42! Just having lots of luck I suppose. Means my Crazy and Legit went from 25 to 67. May have to change my gimmick away from a Wholesome one now. </p><p> </p><p> Here's to either Year 6 or finally achieving that A* main event PPV match.</p>

Year 4 down The 4th year of Iowa Pro Wrestling is in the books and what a year it was. It's now the 2nd best company in the world, only behind WWE. We saved up enough money to start our own network, although it was all with tiny coverage that we're slowly boosting up. We're National size and honestly only about one or two areas in America away from International. The world is down to 41 companies left and that's including one that started a couple of months ago. Lots of big names left companies and went elsewhere like The Miz going to Dragon Gate and Okada going to Wrestle 1. Jim Cornette also passed away like a month ago, it was April 2021 in the game. I'm not going to post a picture of David's stats this time, but he's continued to improve. He's consistently a main eventer and was just in the IPW Heavyweight title match at the previous night's PPV, losing to the still champion El Generico. He's pulling off A performances, so it might be within this next year that he pulls off the main goal of this. As for the year end random roll... 54. "As Real As It Gets" The World of MMA called you out and you delivered. Add +10 between Toughness and Menace. Add MMA to your character (Other Genre) Well, at least I can increase his weak Menace. We'll see if I end up in a fight seeing as how I already have two MMA fighters in the company as well (Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor) Here's to another year

<p>Year 3 is in the books</p><p> </p><p> Another year down for Iowa Pro Wrestling and its young booker/wrestler David Arnold.</p><p> </p><p> IPW has risen through the ranks like crazy now. It's reached Cult status and is officially the 3rd best company in the world, only behind WWE and W-1 (yes, NJPW is 4th, right behind me). We're up over $8 million dollars now with 2 development companies (PWX that we made and SHINE that we bought out). Our prestige is A* and our momentum is B. We're running three weekly events now as part of a three way brand split and we're also running a TV show at the end of the week as well. Basically IPW is completely killing it. </p><p> </p><p> David Arnold himself has done pretty well. He ended up as the IPW Television champion for a couple of weeks and is ranked #242 on the Power 500. His best match so far was a IPW Duos championship match where the champions, the Lucha Sisters aka Leva Bates and Mia Yim, retained over the American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards), Mega Muscles (Adam Ohriner & Mike Verna), and the Urban Gladiators (David Arnold & Mark Sherman). Move along the scale from left to right, starting a new relationship with someone appropriate (according to their own preferences) on your roster. Dating->Engaged->Married->Separated->Dating->… (use your own discretion if you need to work out if they are the parent of any children you may have. IF you are separated you may choose to start dating someone else, or start over again with them)</p><p> As for that roll....</p><p> Welp, David Arnold is now dating Kairi Hojo. That'll be interesting. </p><p> </p><p> I'll be back for Year 4</p>

<p>Year 2 is in the books</p><p> </p><p> So this is a few weeks later in the save then the exactly 2 year anniversary because for some reason I thought I started it at the end of June in game instead of the beginning. </p><p> </p><p> Nevertheless, Iowa Pro Wrestling has skyrocketed. Once we started making money, it was a train going out of control. We've signed a fair amount of big names for an indy promotion, we're already having broadcasting deals, and we're already up to Regional. Our IPW Heavyweight champion right now is Ted DiBiase Jr. (see what I mean about big names for an indy?), our Rising Star champion is Shannon Moore, and our Duos champions are Mike Verna and Adam Ohriner aka the Big O. We've been doing C to C- shows three times a week, two 3 hour events a week and one 1 hour TV show as well. We've got Hulu Plus and Netflix (Europe) for our events and YouTube for our TV show. We're also averaging about 2500-3500 fans per show depending on where we go. </p><p> </p><p> David Arnold aka yours truly has yet to claim a championship, but did end up in a tag team title match with his somewhat new partner Leva Bates (they had great chemistry when teaming and ended up in a title match randomly). His best match has been a C+ he's been able to get 6 times, 4 of those matches with Aaron Stevens aka Damien Sandow who's been killing it for IPW as well. He's 50-54 now as well(been making sure he's booked as often as possible to improve those stats). I'm mid west and they kept putting south east... yeah was wondering why I was going up in wrong area... </p><p> back to the drawing board</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> When you set up your event, you can make it where it's located only in the region you want, like the Mid West. That way when it gives you a auto venue, it puts you in your region. Have that myself on my RTG.</p>

<p>Year 1 is in the books</p><p> </p><p> Iowa Pro Wrestling's first year is in the books and what a year it was. We managed to buy out NGW a couple of months ago, gaining their popularity in Europe, and shortly before that moved up to Small. We're ranked 34th out of 54 companies thanks to that buyout and we're even not in debt either. We've been running a weekly show for about 6 months now and actually have some pretty good shows going, getting mostly D's with our recent ones and bringing in over 400 people a show. We even apparently got on ROH's nerves because they created a hostile relationship with us (as well as about 15 other companies for whatever reason)</p><p> </p><p> Playing with a real life mod has been interesting as well because I've seen the likes of Renee Young and Dean Ambrose divorce, Reby Sky and Matt Hardy divorce, and Bayley, Candice LeRae, and Taya Valkyrie (Johnny Mundo's new fiance for those confused) all end up pregnant within a few months of each other. </p><p> </p><p> Now onto yours truly, David Arnold. Thanks to the weekly shows as well as the caliber of talent I brought in for super cheap (like Winter/Katie Lee Burchill working for $390 an appearance for me), I was kept kinda busy, especially once the weekly shows starting going. I did suffer a Radial Head Fracture which put me out for 23 days, but other than that, I've been going pretty well. I have an 11-12 W/L record with a D- average match rating (Highest=D/Lowest=E) and although I haven't won either of the companies two championships yet (IPW Heavyweight and Rising Star championships), I'm still looking pretty strong and have worked as a Main Eventer numerous times although I've yet to actually be in a main event match on the show so far. Working with a created gimmick of Anti-Hero (Wholesome) that's rated Very Good at the moment. Popularity is an E- in the Mid West (where the company is based out of) and F in a couple of regions in America, so he's starting to grow. Did have one issue though where my botch almost caused an injury, which caused the person to not be too happy with me, but other than that it's been pretty good. </p><p> </p><p> As for the first year roll, I rolled a 21, so I got that +5 Mat Skill that will help out (already added before picture above). </p><p> </p><p> I look forward to continuing with this and seeing if I can end up in the Hall of Immortals with this challenge.</p>

The start of my RTG So after getting TEW 16 today (been watching YouTube playthroughs of the game), I'm trying this out for myself because it seems fun and exciting honestly. Plus the challenge of never playing the game before myself (only ever played TEW 05) makes it even more interesting for me. I am playing with a modern day real life mod (thanks to Fleisch for that mod) and will be starting in June 2017. That all being said, here is the debut of David Arnold in Iowa Pro Wrestling. http://i.imgur.com/8k5ztFm.png This is kinda how a real life version of a rookie me in wrestling would be. Decent entertainment, kinda decent mat skills and chain wrestling, and high stamina. Did the Fog of War skills up that high for him for this purpose when I get into it. Also, forgot to take a picture, but Face/Heel is 70%/30%. The gimmick parts are Cool=50, Cocky/Crazy/Legit/Comedy=25, Weird=50, Wholesome=100. http://i.imgur.com/dLgOiCj.png Iowa Pro Wrestling at it's finest. Think a mix of EVOLVE and ROH with slight changes. Should be interesting. Also should mention that Brian Quinn (of Impractical Jokers fame, part of the mod) is the owner and is working for free, which is awesome.
