Except ROH and AEW share a roster and there are ROH title matches on AEW programming. Brand split makes the most sense.

    I get what you mean.

Most of the roster doesn’t overlap that much tbh. It’s weird in the sense that MJF holds a title but never appeared on ROH programming. HungBucks held the trios titles and never appeared.

I think the way it’s currently set up, where the talent that appear on both have contracts on both, and then the others can be set to developmental deals so they can still be borrowed/taken.

the titles thing is obviously an issue, but I feel like the average player playing as AEW doesn’t end up using ROH that way anyway.

Our opinions don’t really matter at the end of the day, QuestLove can build it how he wants and I’ll still support it. Just IMO, most of the benefit to making them a brand, can be done/worked around as a child company. Where the negatives can’t be the other way around.

Poll for you guys to vote on: do you think NJPW/NJoA and AEW/ROH should be combined into one company with sub-brands regardless of potential broadcaster wonkiness and weird AI handling?

I'm almost definitely doing this for NJPW/NJoA either way because it just works a lot better for the player, I don't think a lot of people really book NJoA and would rather just book the American brand alongside the main company, it's definitely the way I prefer it as well.

The big question is AEW/ROH - it would work better for the player booking AEW I think (as far as having the fluidity to use ROH guys as much as you want, the 4th show would be awful), but the obvious downside is you wouldn't be able to book just ROH anymore and they would no longer be recognised as their own company.

I can see it making sense for NJPW/NJOA, but admittedly haven’t done a save as either, so can’t speak to it really.

I don’t think it makes any sense for AEW/ROH.

ROH should be set up as a child company, with everyone there mostly on developmental deals, so that they can be borrowed/called up when needed by the player/AI. obviously the main AEW talent that also hold titles/appear there should be on loan contracts.

That there solves the talent usage issue.

as someone else said. Would just be way too bloated. I think if someone wants to control both at once, the best thing is to just add a player.

  3. Thanks for the work as always Quest.

Some changes I've made, mostly contract stuff (that I know Quest is open that he doesn't edit contract lengths)

    - D-Von Dudley not with WWE (he left in January 2023)
    - FTR to 1 month remaining in AEW + ROH contracts (I suspect they re-signed, but for now I leave it to 1 month. Guess we will know Wednesday)
    - Roderick Strong to 1 month remaining in NXT contract (This is just a personal choice one as it is far from confirmed, but Roddy and KOR seem to be doing a lot of teasing. Roddy posting about ROH. ROH mentioning him a couple times during the PPV - it's a poor kept secret that Roddy wants to go to AEW to be with KOR, Cole and Marina)

    - Brian Cage set to 1 month remaining in AEW/ROH contracts (seems like Cage might be sticking around seeing has he kept his title. Perhaps a shorter term agreement, so 1-3 months remaining makes sense until we hear otherwise)
    - Dalton Castle & The Boys to ROH only (I just "take" from ROH at the start and send them back, so they can be borrowed when needed, rather than under contract to both)
    - AEW production standards upgraded to appropriate levels
    - Toa & Kaun to ROH only (see Dalton + the boys)

    - Brian Pillman Jr + Brock Anderson made into a tag team

Totally random and I dunno if this is even possible since the AI is gonna AI but in every save I start, the Street Profits' contracts come up at the same time and WWE re-signs Tez but gets rid of Angelo. Is there any way to fix this? It just seems to ruin the illusion for me, even though I'm not playing as WWE lol.

In the in-game editor you can just extend their contract lengths to the same amount. Can either do both manually or wait until they sign Montez and then manually extend Angelo’s the same length

  5. Thanks for the update! Couple minor things I’ve noticed for those who will be starting saves (mostly AEW as that’s the brand I started with right now. Haven’t started a WWE one)

    - Kyle O’Rielly should have a starting injury. In an interview he says he isn’t sure if he’ll need surgery. I set it to 8 weeks myself.

    - Adam Cole as well. Has both a concussion and a labrum issue. I set his for 8 weeks, but could be longer

    - Bryan Danielson I set to have a starting injury (concussion) of 2 weeks

    - Appears Anthony Bowens is now healthy, though I set mine to 2 weeks remaining.

    - Sasha Banks is in a tough situation. I personally removed her contract, but set an absence of 90 days

    - Paige’s contract should have 1 week remaining. To do this I removed her contract but set an absence of 1 week to start the save

    - Brian Cage should be listed as heel in AEW and managed by Tully Blanchard.

    - I personally made Jon Moxley AEW Champion in my edits, as TEW doesn’t have an interim champion feature.

    - Wardlow is still set as MJF’s manager.

    - I increased MJF’s popularity to mid-60’s.

    - I also increased AEW’s overall popularity slightly to make attendance numbers more realistic. It unfortunately inflates the tv numbers to the 1.3M area, but I prefer being able to book venues that the company does in real life.

    Edit; couple more

    - Hook should be a face

    - Claudio should be a heel, matching the rest of the Combat Club (wish tweener was a thing for them)

  6. Regal and Yuta come out of the face tunnel, so it's hard to determine

Bret's deal is apparently merchandise only

Yeah, but for the purpose of TEW, where it can cause some issues of faces managing heels or teaming with them, I think it’s best to keep them all the same.

And not sure what kind of deal it is, but would make sense to do something so he can’t sign with AEW for example

  7. Also, should AEW only be pulling in 1500 fans for Dynamite?? Seems very low

this is something you can tweak yourself I think. Just need to go into the editor and tweak the local popularity of the company. They should be around 4-5K for Dynamite/Rampage and then in the 18-20K range for PPV's now.

That being said, not sure how adjusting that to increase the in person audience, could affect the viewership/ppv buys of shows. Could throw that out of whack.
