  1. Thanks guys, some really good ones there. I'm not sure I can even make a 16 woman division mathematically with that few from abroad but will give it a try Love the New Focus and You Deserve It ideas especially Thanks again, if anybody has any more feel free to chuck them out!
  2. Skimmed through a few pages, couldn't see a similar post. Apologies if I missed one. I'm looking for some rules for a January 1992 game with the WWF. I've just gotten to 1995 with WCW which is by far my longest save on this iteration, but I fell into the trap of just signing everybody I like and now even with a stack of releases I feel there isn't really any challenges or things to achieve. So I'm looking for some rules for WWF, I think any that encourage me to avoid too much roster turnover or to many signings would be great because I struggle to control myself lmao but I want to hear all your suggestions!
  3. This looks great so far, can see an absolute ton of work has gone into it. Will definitely be following!
  4. Thank you to everybody for all your support in me bringing this back, great to see so many predictions. I've tried to leave a slightly longer gap than normal so people had time to catch up. Consider this your 24 hour warning if anybody else wants to predict
  5. and we're back I've also now finally done this haha, see post 2 <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> AAA: A Queen is Crowned Quick Picks Pre Show: Talia Neema vs Local Talent Pre show: Sarah Rioli vs Ashley Keith Main Show Grudge Match Street Fight: Ai Takami vs Spider Isako Comments: Reece & Wells vs Good Lookin’ Bunny Comments: Tina Blaze & Piper Hale vs La Hija De Phoenix & Bonnie Williams Comments: AAA World Tag Team Championship: Lilly & Rose © vs Morgan Stryker & Marie Sigil Comments: AAA World Championship: Devil’s Daughter vs ‘The Bully’ Chris Amerson Comments: </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";">
  6. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> AAA: Our Story So Far (Recap) DeAnna Desire has dubbed herself the hardest working interviewer in the business, normally she has to deal with angry wrestlers that take exception to her line of questioning or simply ignore her and talk about what they want to talk about. But today is nothing like that, she is interviewing the boss Sara Stardust. Desire explains that the owner of the new look AAA wants to sit down and talk through our journey so far before we crown our first world champion at AAA: A Queen Is Crowned in case anybody is on the fence about giving the company a shot (or the writer of the diary doesn’t update it for seven months but let’s not go there.) </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> The Return of AAA Sara Stardust recalls the chain of events that brought the company back from the ashes. She recounts the long meetings that she has with her grandmother and hints briefly at the rocky road that she had to navigate to even get to the first show. You can read about them here, here and here. She then reiterates what the company stands for now and how the direction has changed. The fast pace modern style and an eclectic variety of wrestling are the two principles that the third generation Stardust swears by. DeAnna tries to ask her Boss about the mysterious vignettes that the fans have been seeing, a series of eerie videos taking place at an old asylum but Stardust doesn’t seem keen to discuss it. She states that she has investigated the situation and that is all she will say. The conversation then turns to the match card and how we got to where we are: </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS Ai Takami vs Spider Isako Spider Isako made a strong impression in her first match with the company. She debuted against fellow wunderkind Ashley Keith in a great match. Since then, Ai Takami has caused issues for her at every turn. First attacking her in Japan before the violence spread to AAA shows. After yet another attack from Takami, Stardust revealed that the pair left her with no choice and will now settle their differences in a street fight. </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS Reece & Wells vs Good Lookin’ Bunny Sara Stardust comes across as sympathetic to the frustrations of Sabrina Wells and Ruby Reece, the pair were targeted by sections of the crowd at the AAA Out of the Darkness event. However Sara has become incredibly frustrated with the actions of the pair since, she suggests that the pair are more than talented enough to let their wrestling do the talking but instead they’re doing anything but that. Good Lookin’ Bunny are another team that seem out of place in the new look AAA and Sara suggests they also need a win here if they want to stick around. </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS Tina Blaze & Piper Hale vs La Hija De Phoenix & Bonnie Williams La Hija De Phoenix has won a lot of fans in her short time with AAA but it’s fair to say that Tina Blaze nor Piper Hale fit that category. Their issues began on the very first AAA show and have showed no signs of cooling since. Hale recruited Blaze as back up and the pair have consistently had the numbers advantage over the luchador but now she is joined by the unorthodox Bonnie Williams in one of the stranger alliances that we’ve seen so far. Hale has gone on record that she is going to rip Phoenix’s mask clean off, the ultimate disrespect to the luchador. </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS AAA World Tag Team Championship Lilly & Rose vs Morgan Stryker & Marie Sigil When Cheyenne approached ‘The Black Diamond’ Marie Sigil, she promised that she could get her a tittle shot and the manager quickly delivered on that promise. The only issue in this monkey paw esque wish is that she is teaming with a woman who she cannot stand. The pair have all the ability in the world but if they’re going to win the gold they’ll have to co-exist. The need to co-exist is especially important given who they are facing. The pair of Kate Lilly and Debbie Rose won the titles on the first night of the new AAA and it’s going to take a lot to take them. Lilly & Rose are arguably the longest running and most decorated tag team in American women’s wrestling and the pair believe they are just entering their prime. Stardust predicts this is going to be a show stealing match and a hard one to beat. </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS AAA World Championship Devil’s Daughter vs ‘The Bully’ Chris Amerson This match is the very definition of the Unstoppable Force vs the Immovable Object. Neither DD or Chris Amerson have been pinned during their tenures but that is going to change here. Sara Stardust admits she has been impressed by how naturally Chris Amerson has transitioned from MMA to the squared circle but she will now face the biggest challenge of her career in the form of Devil’s Daughter. Much like her opponent, DD has been on a strong run of wins since AAA reopened it’s doors and she will no doubt be expecting to write her names in the history books as the first AAA World Champion. Stardust has already warned her referees that she expects this match to be utterly hellacious and that a match of this magnitude will require lenient officiating. </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";">

She announces that Spider Isako will not be here tonight due to a cowardly attack by Ai Takami. The footage then plays of the attack with Takami jumping Isako in the parking lot. Stardust has sent Takami home but ensures fans that Isako will be ready for Sunday. Stardust also announced that given the bad blood between the pair, this would now be a street fight. Segment rating: 20 </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS Ruby Reece, Sabrina Wells, Marie Sigil & Morgan Stryker vs Lilly & Rose and Good Lookin Bunny Marie Sigil has spent the last few weeks in an awkward alliance with Morgan Stryker, the pair far from on good terms but clearly willing to put it aside (at least to a degree) in the hunt for their first title success of their careers. Well today the pair find themselves teaming with another pair who are out with a point to prove. Unlike their opponents, Lilly & Rose clearly share a level of respect with old opponents GLB and it allowed them to take early control of the match. Sigil & Stryker’s dysfunctional alliance continues to wield surprisingly good results, the pair in their attempts to one up each other dominated and Sigil had the match wrapped up before Stryker tagged herself back in and got the win. Winner: Morgan Stryker Match time: 17:51 Rating: 45 </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> La Hija De Phoenix is in the ring. She is furious to say the least given the attacks of Hale and Blaze. She wants to face both of them. The pair don’t take long to come out from the back and they look more than eager to give Phoenix the fight that she wants. The pair move from either side of the ring, ready to jump the brave Luchador until an unlikely hero makes the save. Phoenix looks as confused as anyone as backup comes in the form of Bonnie Williams who is sporting a 2x4. This seems to have an impact on Hale & Blaze who now back away from the ring. Williams gives Phoenix a hug who even through her mask is visibly confused. Segment Rating: 50 </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS Devil's Daughter vs Ashley Keith A wrestling tale as old as time. Experience vs a fearless young wrestler. Ashley Keith has had a very strong start to her time in the new look AAA but in this match she was certainly up against it sharing the ring with the a woman who has a scary amount of both experience and aggression. The wunderkind Keith shows absolutely no fear as she goes straight after Devils Daughter, grounding the vet with an impressive pace mixed with the strong strikes that the Keith’s are known for. As she is always more than willing to do, Devils Daughter uses every trick in the book to disrupt the flow of her opponent. This match established Keith as one of the best wrestlers in the company, regardless of age, but DD ultimately made her experience count to pick up the win. Winner: Devils Daughter Match time: 15:21 Rating: 38 </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #FFB6C1; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> VS Concepcion Gomez vs Chris Amerson The match is the epitome of the unstoppable force vs the immovable object. The Bully has had a violent but impressive start and she looked to carry on against the stoic Concepion Gomez. This match played out as brutally as one might expect when two women with extensive fighting backgrounds step into the ring and the winces from the crowd were frequent as the pair exchanged some nasty looking holds. The crowd were stunned into silence when Chris Amerson’s kimura lock attempted was countered into a read naked choke. Amerson flailed frantically before the experienced fighter pushed back and got Gomez’ shoulders down to steal a three count. Amerson is quickly out of the ring, she’s booked her place in the final but she knows it was close. Winner: Chris Amerson Matching time: 16:54 Rating: 52 Show Rating: 47 </div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:10px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";">
  8. Results from previous show: RhysRob 1/3 KyTeran 2/3 S1 E5 Preview - An Heir To The Throne We now know the final four in the Queen of the Temple tournament and now we are going see all four share the ring tonight. Ai Takami will team up with Naoko Makajima to take on Rina Kasahara & Fujiko Mushashibo in a match that is sure to be utter chaos. Elsewhere, Aki Kamio has had a tough start to life in the temple but she is determined to put any notion of a curse behind her as she gets into singles action. Hiroko Iha last week received help from a fan and in her infinite wisdom, Empress Yumako has decided to offer the fan (who we now know goes by the name SUPREME Yoshida) an opportunity to step in the ring properly. She will team up with Iha to take on Nami Genda & Kichi Mochizuki. . Quick Picks Finally Famous (SUPREME Yoshida & Hiroko Iha) vs Kichi Mochizuki & Nami Genda Aki Kamio vs La Hija De Phoenix Fujiko Mushashibo & Rina Kasahara vs. Naoko Majima & Ai Takami Comments:
  9. Season 1 Episode 4 - The Girl Who Waits Aki Kamio showing her desperation after recent events makes her way to Empress Yumako’s office, it is clear that the young wrestler has hardly slept in days. Yumako seems far from sympathetic as she checks out the black mark on Kamio’s hand. Kamio tells Yumako that she has tried everything but cannot get rid of the mark, she explains that she has heard that Yumako might have an idea as to why. Yumako fills her in on the entire story. She tells the story of a girl that wandered into the temple and got lost in the dark. The rumour goes that the girl waited for help that never came and is now out for revenge on the world that left her behind. The mark on the hand means that you are next and per the story, there is nothing that stop her from arriving. Segment Rating: 39 VS ‘The People’s Hero’ Asa Karuta vs Kichi Mochizuki Asa Karuta continues to outdo herself, she seems to become more and more unpopular with each passing show. The self-proclaimed fan favourite is making enemies everywhere she goes and her underhanded tactics in this match definitely don’t do anything to endear herself to the cult. In a repeat of the previous week, Karuta rolls up Mochizuki and tries to steal a pin, clutching at her opponents’ tights. But this time Nami Genda has rushed down to ringside to bring it to the referee’s attention. This time it is Karuta who loses concentration, allowing Mochizuki to pick up the win. Winner: Kichi Mochizuki Match Time: 11:54 Rating: 20 Eighteen Months Ago Rina Kasahara is sat in the prison yard, she is working out and the other inmates seem to have the sense to stay far away from her. As Rina lifts weights, she is approached by a pair of slightly smaller but still strong looking inmates. The first of the pair reminds her that the Boss is expecting her to be silent and if she gets any impression that Rina is going to turn snitch- Before the inmate can even get the word out, Rina lays her out with a viscous right hand. She then tells the other inmate to pass on that she will remain silent. Segment Rating: 31 VS Emma May vs Hiroko Iha Due to her tag team issues, Iha has not had a strong start to life in the NeoTemple and in this match she was looking to get the first win under her glamorous belt. But in this one she was up against the fierce Emma May. The American grappler started the match with a ferocity, going after the Social Media star with a harsh foray of strikes. May might be a bit overly aggressive as the ref has to keep her in line. Emma May looks ready to bring the match to an end as she locks in a form of Cattle Mutilation before Iha manages to force her onto her back and secure a three count. Winner: Hiroko Iha Match time: 12:26 Rating: 41 After the match, Asami Okubo joins Emma May as the pair stare down a fearless Hiroko Iha. The pair look ready to use the numbers game until… A fan from the front row slides into the ring clutching the chair she was sat on. Okubo and May quickly make their exit as Iha stares at the fan with a confused expression. Only in the temple… Segment rating: 32 VS Rina Kasahara vs Spider Isako Spider Isako gave a great showing in her first match in the temple but she certainly seemed up against it in this one. Still the young Joshi wunderkind has a massive opportunity to seal a place in the final four of the Queen of the Temple tournament and she wasn’t about to waste it. Isako went straight after the bigger woman, trying to bring her down to size. Kasahara didn’t seem to be fazed much by her opponents offence but Isako kept up an impressive pace and started to wear the bigger woman down. Kasahara found the match frustrating, Isako proved evasive and demonstrated a wide variety of counters. But eventually Kasahara began to take control. The match came to an abrupt end when Isako found herself on the wrong end of a Uraken. Winner: Rina Kasahara Match time: 14:54 Rating: 31 Show Rating: 32
  10. Prediction results Neslo024 2/3 KyTeran 1/3 S1 E4 Preview - The Girl Who Waits Tonight we find out the last name in the final four of the first Queen of the Temple Tournament. The Stoic Rina Kasahara will take on darkhorse Spider Isako in an interesting match up. Both have had winning starts to their time in the temple and have clearly caught the eye of Empress Yumako to receive this offer. Elsewhere, after being choked out last week, Hiroki Iha wants to face Emma May in a rematch. She says that Aki and her are done, clearly Kamio has her own issues that she needs to deal with but Iha has her own revenge to seek. Empress Yumako was apparently telling people backstage that she has seen what has happened to Kamio before and that she doubts the young wrestler will be in the temple for very long. Elsewhere Asa Karuta... sigh, sorry... "The People's Hero Asa Karuta" will take on relatively unknown Kichi Mochizuki who makes her temple debut. Quick Picks Kichi Mochizuki vs 'The People's Hero' Asa Karuta Hiroki Iha vs Emma MAy Rina Kasahara vs Spider Isako Comments:
  11. NeoTokyo Joshi Futures Season 1 Episode 3 – The Hands of Time The show opens with a promotional video for Asa Karuta. She is sat in a picturesque looking park and she is holding a puppy. She puts the puppy down and it runs off before in the distance somebody with a leash is frantically chasing the dog. “Hi my name is Asa Karuta. You may have heard of me-“ she pauses talking to the camera for a young fan to get a photo. Notably the child walks away holding money. “I made a small unfortunate mistake and I am very lucky that the Cult of Violence have already forgotten them.” Karuta stops again as she walks out of the park, this time helping an old lady cross the street. Though as she keeps walking, it seems the woman didn’t actually want to cross over. “Now some people have called my return to wrestling words like heroic and triumph, is it really fair to call me a hero? Well it’s not really for me to say… but yes. The people have adopted me as their hero and I am proud to represent them.” Karuta gives a little two finger salute. Segment Rating: 20 VS Nami Genda vs “The People’s Hero” Asa Karuta Asa Karuta has a new nickname. Some suggests she came up with but she is adamant is trending on twitter last week and so she ran with it. Karuta is showered in boos by the Cult of Violence as she walks to the ring, she waves at a crowd of people without a single one waving back. Some giving her a slightly different gesture. Nami Genda is one of many that has questioned the decision of Yumako to give Karuta a contract and she is clearly determined to put the self-proclaimed hero into her place. Unfortunately Genda seems a bit too determined to teach Karuta a lesson that she is a bit sloppy in her execution. The Temple turns toxic as Karuta rolls up Genda and leverages the ropes to secure a three count. Winner: Asa Karuta Match time: 11:35 Rating: 28 TWO YEARS AGO Rina Kasahara is sat in an interrogation room, a bright lamp shining directly on her as two investigators sit on the other side of the table. The first inspector remarks that Kasahara has given up two years of her life for a group that don’t care about her, she could walk out tomorrow if she gives them the names of the people she works for. Kasahara continues to sit in complete silence. The second inspector rubs their forehead, neither have gotten a word out of the stoic woman since she’s been there. The inspector then reminds Kasahara that if she doesn’t talk, she’s going to be here for the next eight years. But that doesn’t move Kasahara to speak. Segment Rating: 36 VS Asami Okubo & Emma May vs Aki Kamio & Hiroko Iha Iha has been labelled by some as naïve to give Kamio another chance but as they walk to the ring she looks fairly confident, even if Kamio doesn’t share it. Unfortunately confidence isn’t enough against a team like Okubo & Emma May. The pair clearly don’t share a common language in terms of dialect but they certainly do in ferocity. May and Okubo wear down both of their opponents, frequently tagging and demonstrating a wide arsenal of submission holds as their MMA and Judo styles combine well. Iha starts to make a comeback before trying to tag in Kamio, but as Aki holds her hand up to tag she sees a distinct black mark has appeared on her hand and her eyes widen in shock. It’s also enough to stop Iha who gets cut off by Okubo who locks her in a rear naked choke and secures a submission. Winner: Asami Okubo & Emma May Match time: 12:26 Rating: 34 After the match, Kamio kneels in the ring looking visibly stunned by what she is seeing on her hand. Muttering to herself as she stares down at the mark. VS Fujiko Mushashibo vs La Hija De Phoenix Last week these two showed themselves as surprisingly strong tag team partners. When asked about teaming with Phoenix, Fujiko remarked that she hates everybody but she thought Phoenix was less hateable than most. She also praised her as a wrestler. The two started the match at a ferocious pace, Mushashibo tried to honour her deathmatch roots bringing a weapon in with her but shockingly senior referee and lover of violence Kyoko Okuda stopped her and explained she actually wanted to see how this one played out. After a fantastic back and forth match, Mushashibo countered a top rope Spanish fly and speared her opponent to the mat to secure a three count. After the match, both received applause from the Cult and the pair shook hands. Winner: Fujiko Mushashibo Match Time: 13:34 Rating: 48 Show rating: 40
  12. “So you want to run with a story on … a temple that’s really an underground fight club and the lady… sorry Empress who owns it is a trustfund brat with a god complex. Have I got that right?” Naomi sighs as her zoom call with her boss isn’t going brilliantly. “Well yeah but I really think there is a story there. I was there for the first couple of shows and just-“ “have you finished the profiles on the athletes that you met over the last few days?” her Boss cuts her off. “Uhh yeah, I’ll get them over to you in the morning.” Naomi responds, now realising she’s going to be up most of the night catching up on that. “Don’t lose focus on the important stuff for a fluff piece, you have a bright future but you need to focus and apply yourself. Keep working on the important stuff.” Naomi nods, though her mind is wandering with what she is really interested in. The young American journalist firmly a part of the Cult of Violence now. She has found herself enamoured with the temple and wants to learn more about it and the secrets it must hold.
  13. Prediction results Neslo024 2/3 KyTeran 2/3 CactusHack 2/3 S1 E3 Preview - The Hands Of Time The first Queen of the Temple inches another step closer as we see last week's tag team partners La Hija De Phoenix & Fujiko Mushabisho test their new shakey friendship as they compete for a place in the final four. Empress Yumako was very vocal backstage that she can't wait to see what sort of chaos this match brings. Elsewhere Asami Okubo & Emma May, two wrestlers with mixed martial arts backgrounds try to rebuild some momentum following losing starts against the team of Aki Kamio & Hiroki Iha. Iha explained that while she is deeply concerned by Kamio and her behaviour, she trusts her to do the right thing and that we wouldn't see a repeat of last time. Elsewhere, Asa Kurata received a poor reaction from the Cult last week and definitely didn't help herself as she tried to take as little involvement in her match as possible. She was very vocal backstage telling people she didn't lose as she wasn't the one pinned well now she is facing Nami Genda. Quick Picks Nami Genda vs Asa Karuta Asami Okubo & Emma May vs Aki Kamio & Hiroko Iha Fujiko Mushabisho vs La Hija De Phoenix
  14. NeoTokyo Joshi Futures Season 1 Episode 2 What Happens in the Shadows Fujiko Mushashibo is in the Bosses office and she is far from happy. The second generation wrestler wants to know why on earth she isn’t in the tournament. Mushashibo points out that in only 2 years she has made headlines with her legendary matches and there is nobody on this roster that can compete with her. Yumako lets out a yawn, though even she has the sense to back up when Mushashibo takes a step forward. Yumako then challenges her to prove her wrong, tonight she’ll be teaming up with another second generation star and if they win, they’ll both be in the tournament. Once Mushashibo is satisfied and leaves, Yumako smirks as if that was all part of the plan. Segment rating: 26 VS VS Asa Kurata vs Himari Miwa vs Rina Kasahara Asa Kurata is a name that not many expected to see in Japan again. Blacklisted by every major promotion and somebody whose name alone is enough to cause trouble, she is naturally somebody that Empress Yumako was keen to sign. Himari Miwa is an impressive technical wrestler with a bright future… but Rina Kashara? Well neither commentator could offer much information on her. One thing is for certain, Rina has a mean streak and absolutely dominated this match with a ferocity that suggests this isn’t her first fight. The crowd are on the back of Asa Kurata despite her attempts to play to them, after reading the way the match is going she opts to duck out, leaving Miwa to be absolutely bulldozed by Kasahara to secure the win. Winner: Rina Kasahara Match time: 10:04 Rating:28 Backstage Hiroko Iha confronts Aki Kamio for her betrayal in the previous show. Kamio starts off apologetic before her eyes wander, Iha asks her what the hell is going on before Kamio stares behind her and starts to back away from her. Iha starts to see something is wrong and tries to console her before Kamio rushes off, the lights flicker behind where Iha is standing. Segment rating: 32 VS La Hija de Phoenix & Fujiko Mushashibo vs. Hoshiko Tagawa & Emiko Miyoshi The match didn’t start brilliantly for Phoenix and the far from social Mushashibo, the pair immediately disagreed over who was going to start in the ring and their opponents were not willing to give them that time to figure it out. Tagawa & Miyoshi dominate the early proceedings and senior referee Kyoko Okuda makes no real effort to stop them. They struggle against the second generation wrestlers though, Phoenix especially shows an impressive level of resilience combined with a dangerous arsenal of high flying moves. The pair actually seemed to co-exist for a little while as well, until Mushahibo tried to bring in a barb wired baseball bat but reluctantly dropped it when her partner told her to. Phoenix picked up the three count with a beautiful Spanish Fly. Winner: La Hija De Phoenix Match time: 12:04 Rating: 47 VS Emma May vs. Naoko Majima Emma May and Naoko Majima have never been in the same building before but considering the tension in the ring, you might think they had a long-standing feud. The pair are heavy hitters that immediately trade hard blows right out of the gate. Emma May is a natural striker and starts to take the advantage but Majima shows an impressive level of speed to evade her strikes and then lands a couple of devastating strikes of her own that stun the America grappler. Emma May came to NeoTokyo as a virtual unknown to the Cult of Violence but her reputation as a harsh striker was definitely known, that makes the relatively one sided second half of the match by Majima that much more impressive. The match comes to a grinding end when Majima locks in a rear naked choke and May refuses to tap but eventually passed out. Winner: Naoko Majima Match time: 14:40 Rating: 41 Show rating: 40
  15. Thank you both for the kind words, I appreciate this is very different to other works so it's nice to know it has some interest. Neslo I did opt to turn off Young Lions Oh and I forgot about the prediction results from Show 1: KyTeran 3/3 CactusHack 2/3

  17. NeoTokyo Joshi Futures Season 1 Episode 1 The Temple Opens The show opens with Empress Yumako sat in her office. She welcomes the Cult of Violence members to the grand opening of her temple, she remarks that journalists from all over the world have expressed an interest in the show and that we even have an American journalist in the audience tonight. Yumako repeats her promises about the best wrestlers and the most violent of wrestling. She promises wrestlers from America and Mexico as well as offers going out to the UK while also securing the best domestic talent. As the first lady of the temple continues to wax lyrical about her talent and her company, there is a knock at her office door. She stops to open it, there is nobody on the other side. But when she turns, she looks back at her desk and seems a small blue box with a black ribbon on it. The outspoken temple owner falls silent as picks up the box and the segment fades to black. Segment Rating: 23 VS Spider Isako vs Asami Okubo The empress of NeoTokyo Joshi has made a lot of claims about what the company is going to offer and this was a great match to open that up with. Spider Isako is a rookie joshi wrestler that has been making a gradual impression on the indies, her fast paced style winning her a lot of fans at shows she has worked. Meanwhile Okubo is the very definition of “if looks could kill.” The judo star has a silent demeanour, she definitely doesn’t fit the bill of what Yumako thinks wrestling should be, loud, brash and in your face. But even the Empress couldn’t ignore when she saw how Okubo could hurt people. The match was a back and forth clash, Okubo constantly slowing it down while Isako looked to speed it up and the pairs styles clashed in the most entertaining way possible. Okubo looked to have the match won as she applied a sleeper on Isako before Isako was able to smartly force both of her shoulders onto the at to secure a close three. Winner: Spider Isako Match time: 23 Rating: 11:53 We are introduced to the stoic La Hija De Phoenix. Footage is shown of the young luchadora working in Mexico, performing frankly breathtaking moves that would be a struggle to describe. The particular highlights being a top rope Spanish Fly which she has dubbed the “Flight of the Phoenix” and a beautiful corkscrew moonsault to the outside. Phoenix is sat in street clothes while still wearing the mask that is sacred to her. She announces that she has signed to NTJF and looks forward to meeting the Cult of Violence as she enters the tournament to crown the first Queen of the Temple! Segment rating: 20 VS HEARTS Of GLORY vs. Hiroko Iha & Aki Kamio Hiroko Iha is not what you expect when you hear a fanbase dubbed the “Cult of Violence” but they immediately welcome the social media sensation into the temple, she enters through the fans dressed as something vaguely resembling a sea captain and quickly steers her attention to her opponents. HEART Koiso & Akari Kawashima enter the temple with the reputation of tag team specialists and they do exactly that, Koiso taking the lead as she throws a series of harsh lariats that look even worse than they sound. Iha & Kamio show a surprisingly solid chemistry though and actually seem to take control, Iha manages to take control against Kawashima and then goes for a tag but as she reaches out for Kamio, Kamio holds up her hand before her eyes go wide and she drops down from the apron and backs away. Kamio abandons her partner who finds herself hit with a mean series of three power bombs by Koiso who secures the pinfall. Winner: HEART Koiso (HEARTS of Glory) Match time: 12:50 Rating: 28 “Rina Kashahara, how do you plead?” Rina Kashahara is sat in a court room with every eye in the building focused on her. The judge looking at her expectantly, she glances up at him before glancing at a figure in the viewing area. She then ops to stay silent. “Very well, for your complete lack of remorse or any co-operation at all you will be sentenced to 10 years in prison.” With that the gavel comes down and Kashahara is taken away. Segment Rating: 25 VS Ai Takami vs. “Battle Warrior” Kaori Takenouchi The announcer Sata Fujisaka explains to the Cult of Violence that Empress Yumako has told the officials that main events are not to end in disqualification unless it is absolutely unavoidable and Takenouchi clearly got the memo as the Battle Warrior arrives in the ring with a steel chair. Takami doesn’t wait for her to get into the ring before the pair turn to the sort of violence that Yumako is after. Takami lays her opponent out on the wooden benches that surround the ring before climbing to a higher one and hitting a senton right onto her opponent. The match continues at this impossibly fast pace as senior referee Kyoko Okuda doesn’t seem all that fussed about actually getting the wrestlers into the ring. Takami is able to pick up an impressive win to book her place in the final four of the tournament as she hits a sickening running knee. Winner: Ai Takami Match time: 15:16 Rating: 35 Show rating: 31
  18. Thanks to you both for the predictions and the feedback. Lucha Underground is definitely one of my inspirations, a mad power hungry owner and their temple surely makes that obvious haha
  19. NeoTokyo Joshi Futures Season 1 Episode 1 Preview: The Temple Opens After the frankly chaotic introduction of Empress Yumako to the wrestling world, people are eager to see if the Temple can live up to her promises. Some have found her disrespectful and will no doubt be tuning in with hopes of seeing it disappoint spectacularly. As she stated, the first match in the Queen of the Temple tournament will be tonight kicking off the hunt for the first champion of the company. Elsewhere joshi rookie Spider Isako will face off against relatively unknown judo competitor Asami Okubo. There will also be a taste of tag team action as second generation tag team HEART Koiso & Akari Kawashima will take on social media star Hiroko Iha & Aki Kamio Quick Picks Spider Isako vs Asami Okubo Hiroko Iha & Aki Kamio vs HEARTS Of GLORY (HEART Koiso & Akari Kawashima) NTJF Queen of the Temple Tournament Round 1: Ai Takami vs "Battle Warrior" Kaori Takenouchi
  20. This is the last time I will have to come to you in such an impersonal way. Next week you will be welcomed into the depths of the NeoTemple and you will be able to bask in my glory and my creation in person. Onto business then. Eight women from around the world have been invited for the opportunity to become the first Queen of the temple and we will be seeing the first match in that tournament. Now those of you that didn’t get an invite to the tournament, that doesn’t mean I think you’re not good enough. The temple doesn’t let in people who don’t show potential. There is just one thing- ... Vio- ... Better- ... We’re among you. Ignore the woman who calls herself the Empress, she knows not what she speaks. The temple will fall. Under our control.
  21. Naomi Ito arrived at her hotel in Tokyo and before she had even checked in, the front desk had a letter in blue waiting for her. “I understand you’re looking for answers.” Followed by the address of the NeoTemple. Naturally Ito is unable to stop herself from taking up that offer and immediately drops her stuff off in her room before getting a cab to the marked address. Ito walks down the steps that lead into the depths of the city and the heart of the NeoTemple where she finds Empress Yumako waiting for her. “So, you’re the American journalist.” Yumako remarks. “How did you know I’m here?” Ito asks as she glances around, feeling an uneasy sense in the air. “No, that’s the wrong question. You could ask me anything, don’t ask me something so boring.” Yumako says as she starts to walk to her office. “Okay, why did you invite me?” “That’s a better question. I want to share with the world the violence that I will be displaying in my temple, so when we have our first show I want you to be in attendance.” Yumako explains as they walk to the back, giving her guest an impromptu tour. “I’d love to, but I can’t promise you’ll like what I write.” Naomi retorts as Yumako simply smirks. “Yeah I don’t think that will be a problem. Though I can’t promise the-“ “What the hell is that!?” Naomi blurts out as they walk through the locker room and the words BEWARE YOUR HAND are written on the wall. “Hmm, that wasn’t there this morning.” Yumako says with a shrug. “So you’re telling me somebody came in and wrote that?” Naomi asks. “Maybe or they were already here. You get used to it round here, lot of bumps and noises. This is not a place for the faint of heart Ms Ito.” Yumako explains with a smirk. “Okay well-“ Naomi is cut off as she hears footsteps walking above them and suddenly starts to feel very uncomfortable. “Well it’s great to meet you, I’ll uhh I’ll see you for the first show.” Naomi says as she rushes for the entrance and makes her way out. Once she is gone, Yumako stares off into the darkness before making her own way out.
  22. You have my interest, best of luck with this mate. Excited to see what comes of it
  23. Young journalist Naomi Ito boards her flight to Japan. Still a rookie in her business, the company didn’t exactly shell out on her international flight so it’s an almost empty late-night flight. Once she gets to her seat, Ito is quick to pull out her laptop as she begins writing profiles for some of the athletes she is scheduled to see over the next few weeks before the games start. As Naomi’s mind starts to wander from lack of sleep, she glances up to watch the few people boarding the plane after her. Immediately she spots a familiar face in a distinct backwards hat that is covered by a hoodie. Naomi immediately recognises her as QAW wrestler Emma May, she is wearing sunglasses despite it being the middle of the night and a pair of large headphones. Clearly, she doesn’t want to be disturbed on the off-chance somebody recognises her. But the young journalist isn’t one to let that stop her. “Emma? Emma May?” Naomi calls out as she hovers over the seat the wrestler is sat in. “Yeah? Do you I know you?” Emma asks as she lowers her headphones. “No, I’m a big fan. My name is Naomi Ito.” Naomi explains as the pair shake hands. “So why are you flying to Japan? Did 5 Star finally call you?” Emma laughs a little at that. “No, I’m actually- well I’m on a bit of a break from QAW so I figured I’d go and check out this new promotion. It’s called Neo Tokyo-“ “Joshi Futures?” Naomi finishes her sentence as Emma nods. “Yeah, I got this.” Emma reaches into her bag and pulls out the blue ticket. On the back is the logo of NTJF and a stamp, while the other side repeats Yumako’s words about offerings going to the best wrestlers in the world. Emma gestured Naomi to sit down, and the pair talked extensively through the duration of the flight about their thoughts about the underground promotion. They exchange contact details and Emma provisionally agrees to a “life of a gaijin” style article before she leaves Japan.
