  1. It's amazing that they've done ten of these things, and a title has never changed hands once. I don't even think they've had a match where the outcome was in any real doubt.
  2. They're having a non-title match on their show that's supposed to be nothing BUT title matches. *facepalm*
  3. Again, in Chicago. Kenny Omega got booed in Chicago following his incident with Punk, and Kenny by all accounts is a wonderful human being, and absolutely over anywhere else AEW happens to be in.
  4. It's Chicago. If they were shown footage of CM Punk taking a bulldozer to an orphanage, their reaction would probably be, "Little brats had it coming."
  5. I'll give you guys Ospreay. Tony Khan needs to learn that being a big deal in NJPW (or NXT for that matter) does not mean somebody is a big deal. Will Ospreay cuts promos like Bert from Mary Poppins is chewing on a mouthful of marbles.
  6. It should be noted that Dynamite saw a significant ratings bump over last week.
  7. She's okay. She's not doing anything we haven't seen from Creepy Alexa Bliss. The catchphrase needs to change, because at this point it's factually untrue, though admittedly, "The House usually wins" lacks the same punch.
  8. Unless Vince is in charge. He's the guy who had the main event of Hell In A Cell end in a no-contest two years in a row.
  9. Punk being a problem backstage and wanting to take his ball and go home? Who could have seen that coming? You know, aside from everyone who worked with him in TNA and WWE....
  10. It looked that way to me. And it must have looked that way to others who saw the incident and gave their recommendation for Punk's termination to Tony Khan, a list which include Bryan Danielson.
  11. He was going towards Tony and was being forcibly pulled back. If *I* had done that to my boss, I would be fired. I have no doubt of that.
  12. Well, they didn't SPECIFICALLY mention him, though it's pretty clear WHO it was. And having seen the footage, yeah, I don't blame Tony Khan. After Perry and Punk were separated, you see Punk going after Tony.
  13. The crowd loves him, and it does my heart good. 20 years ago, maybe even ten years ago, an openly gay wrestler would NOT have gotten the kinds of reactions that Bowens consistently gets.
  14. Well, I hope all the gambling addicts get their brackets busted while they go to bed at a reasonable hour. Also, don't see why they need all that pre-show and post show stuff. I was checking the schedule, and that stuff starts at like 2 or 3pm. That makes for over 8 hours of basketball.
  15. And Anna Jay is currently one of the division's designated "pin eaters". I hope Starks is okay. Lady Frost is terrific. She's good in the ring, has a great look, and most importantly, she's proven she can get a crowd reaction on Collision, which isn't always easy, as some of the Collision crowds have sounded like they need resuscitation. Finally, 11:30 next week? Yeah, NO. Bad programming decision from TNT.
  16. Actually, I was two busy complaining about how half the matches last night were tag matches that ended after heel interference causing an upset victory.
  17. And Jade Cargill eats up several established members of the women's division, no-selling the whole time, on tonight's jam-packed edition of AEW Rampage! ... Er, Smackdown!
  18. I did say "arguably" (and let's be honest, Charlotte isn't nearly the big star WWE wants her to be). That's how you make stars, you put them in prominent positions and see if the crowd takes it. And since you brought up WWE superstars, let's not forget that they're the company who thought putting Jinder Mahal in the main event a few weeks ago was going to put butts in seats.
  19. You'd think one of the two women was the first AEW women's champion and the other had a pinfall victory over arguably the most popular women's wrestler today, or something.
  20. What about the time when Seth Rollins broke into Edge's house and filmed it? There was ample video evidence of crimes being committed.
  21. Easy. Babyfaces get arrested, heels don't. LOGIC! Speaking of, I find it humorous how Bianca won't forgive Bayley for everything she's done, but she's teamed with Zelina Vega, who poisoned her husband.
  22. It's called inconsistency. The whole purpose of feeding nearly the entire women's division to Jade Cargill should have been to eventually make even a bigger star, and they kinda dropped the ball on that, almost immediately from the get-go by having Kris show up as a surprise after Jade had already wrestled. Adding Mercedes Mone into the mix just muddles things up even further. How the story has progressed so far, the logical outcome would be for Kris and Stokely to turn heel on Willow, but then they tease a Willow turn with Mone.
  23. Kris Statlander ended Jade Cargill's 2 & 1/2 year undefeated streak and the longest AEW title reign. You wouldn't know it from how she's been booked the past month or so.
  24. I think my problem with it is that the one women's match on the show was basically there to set up a match for the men. It's similar to my issues with the Saraya/ Ruby storyline. You rarely see it play out the other way.
  25. AEW: We're bringing the rankings back! Wins and losses matter! Also AEW: We're giving Trish Adora a TBS title match even though she's never had a win on TV.
