If he doesn't want to do it, it is what it is. Afaik developing games is not his job, and even if it was he's not working for a company so he can choose what he makes. If he was a fan back then and isn't now, I highly doubt the scene will pull him back as it continues to evolve towards this way. Honestly I myself am way less of a fan as back then. But the games are still awesome.

So I'm afraid it rather sucks for us. :p Fact of the matter is that all other alternatives rather suck in comparison to this series. There is the official UFC games but those are games of a different nature.

99% unlikely but I wish they would have a "promoter" mode for the UFC games where you can book fighters and their stats have a progression similar to WMMA.

Entirely up to you to be honest. Obviously you'd get more generated fighters over time, but there "should" be at least one new fighter every month until some time in 2010. (some months will have more than one fighter debuting and I might've missed a month here or there)

Hope you enjoy the new characters either way. 👍

Already started and loving the new characters! I appreciate that you still put in their own biographies.

  3. Getting momentum back up via wins is hard. But when you turn the character, it resets to neutral. Same could be possible with gimmick change, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

If you don't want a turn / gimmick change, let him win for a while. With time it gets better. Personally I wouldn't waste guys with better pop though. Dev or loan talent also works fine.

As for the popularity, wrestlers with bad momentum barely seem to gain pop. At least that's what I experienced. So, first fix the momentum problem. ;)

Thanks for this. Might have to resort to turning him I guess even if he's a natural babyface. I've had him win consistently for months now but his momentum or popularity never improved. He has 80+ SQ too so I believe he's still far from the cap.

  4. I'm playing as Jack Avatar and also using him for my fed. He got injured for almost a year when he was cold momentum and now he has very cold momentum. I can't seem to improve his momentum. I've had him win matches even against recognisable and well-known wrestlers but his momentum and popularity (around 50) stay the same. He has a great gimmick which even I changed just to see if that was the issue but to no avail. What seems to be the issue?

I simmed almost a year before I started my company. When Fezzik debuted, I couldn't pass up the chance to get him to start his career with my company. SIGMA was active and my company was in the British Isles so I had to act quickly.

Im in my 4th year and theres about 10 people in every weight class that debut every month (if not more) so theres plenty of variety and almost too many fighters to keep track up. This has begun since the end of the first year.

Literally all you have to do is download the data and play. I didn't copy any fighters over or anything. Put the default database in the database folder and pictures in the the picture folder

Thanks. I'm restarting as I speak. I apparently didn't adjust the pictures folder in the game so that's that. I'm going to just simulate probably the first year or so to wait for more fighters.

  7.
Hey guys. Been a fan of London's work for a long time and I've recently started my game using his database after roughly 8 months since quitting WMMA5. My previous default save lasted me 18 game years so it really shows how dedicated I am to the game. The only reason I quit is because eventually the regenerated fighters are basic and there are relatively few prodigious fighters like the Fezziks and the Manuel Silvas.

To my question, I started a Global-verse save and I am in my 3rd year now. I am having a bit of hard time waiting for a lot of the fighters to debut so would you guys recommend a way on how I can still utilize the Global-Verse but play to my preferences?

I'm thinking of maybe starting the game later (mid-90s probably?) but I would have to make a lot of adjustments wouldn't I? Already forgot a lot of details in the editor but is there a way I can set all companies to debut after a certain time but still debut randomly? The help is much appreciated.

PS: I apparently started the game but I think there's an issue with how I copied and pasted as the guys who were already listed have no renders. Is there an idiot's guide on how to use this? An idiot like me could certainly use it.

I don't know how big of a penalty it is to be honest. I'm building my company around Helikaon and Champagne Lover is already on the decline so it's not that huge of a deal but yes, I do prefer that he stay as face. This'll be my first once-in-a-lifetime match so I want it to be perfect.

It is very hard to be immersed in what would usually occur during a match with limited input and information. If I ever use it, I would have my Victor set normally, unless I am doing a cheap 10-Man rumble to build stats on the pre-show or opening the show.

I love the G1 as a spectacle, but again in game I feel to overwhelmed with the booking of everything and keeping track of it all, so I run single-elimination style tournaments over a couple of shows.

Thanks for the response. I'm honestly thinking of doing a single-elimination tournament more than the G1 because it takes less game time and the G1 might be too taxing without enough payoff for me honestly. Not sure if you know but you can use Challonge for your G1 to make things easier. I already set up my G1 participants for my save before I had doubts as to the complexity of it. Here it is for your reference https://challonge.com/bvh2htw2

It's my own company so I don't have big stars yet. My champ is Jay Chord and he is being challenged by Des Davids so I removed them from the participants. I plan to make Mighty Mo/Mo Barrett the winner of my tournament regardless.

  13. How do you guys book tournaments/matches that determine the #1 contender for your biggest event? So far I'm thinking of either a G1 type format or the typical single-elimination tournament rather than a Royal Rumble. I find that in this game, it might be more satisfying that way since you don't really get immersed on the details of a battle royal other than who were the last 4, who was the last elimination, who had the most eliminations, and who won. Also, do you guys book it without naming a victor?
  14. I am starting a new save with SWF, and I plan to bring a 3-man group of newcomers in as sort of a Shield/Sanity hybrid. 3 promising guys who can debut and make an immediate impact (as chaos causing heels) and eventually split and feud among themselves once they have wrecked enough havoc as a stable. The first two members will be Spencer Spade and Primus Allen, but I am having trouble deciding on a 3rd.

At the moment I am considering Bulldozer Brandon Smith (probably with a name tweak, considering Brandon James is already there), Kirk Jameson, or Frankie Perez for the spot. Does anyone have a preference among these 3? Another suggestion? I am looking for high-ish star quality guys and/or a guy who can be the "psychopath" of the group. Perez may actually be my current favorite.

If anyone has a good naming suggestion that would be rad as well.

Not sure about the psycopath thing but I have all 3 my guys for my own company and I like Jameson the most. He is the youngest and best in-ring performer among the 3. Perez and Bulldozer are also decent but they have their flaws. To my knowledge, Perez is relatively lacking in charisma while Bulldozer has botch issues which causes injuries.

That sucks. How long is he out for? Dubois is a tough one. He has talent and potential but that drug problem has left him a shell of the man he once was. Like a young Jack Griffith.

1 year. Dubois wrestled high again and I suspended him and stripped him of the championship. He then asked for his release which I granted since I managed to sign Jay Chord. He'll be my top heel moving forward. What are your opinions on him? Ross Henry is an awesome signing btw. Don't know if I can fully push him to the title yet since he has a lot to learn in terms of psychology and selling.

  17. I agree with Llama. If you're new to running your own company, definitely start on easy. It gives you the most money and the most popularity. The other benefit to easy as a cult company is you can sign written deals. So you can sign up guys like Greg Gauge (yes), Ernest Youngman (yes), El Mitico Jr. (Yes).

I second signing Ross Henry when he debuts. I also like to sign Syd Collider and Cameron Jones, Dean Waldorf and Marv Statler -- as those are great teams. Also, depending on your style, California Love Machine and Frankie Boy Fernandes are a great young babyface tag team. Marvel Mallory and Storm Spillane are another great duo, and both guys can work singles.

** All of these guys are US/North America guys which is the region I'm most familiar with.

Thanks a lot for this. I added everyone you said. Apparently, Dubois isn't a great add since in my first PPV, he wrestled while high on drugs and broke Fox Mask's neck. Bummer.
