  3. Thank you everyone for posting your predictions! I've never done a thread where I've actually felt enthused about writing the shows before so I forgot to actually tally the predictions 🤣 JCW Beginnings Uncovered: StanMiguel - 4/9 AboardTheArk - 5/9 --- JCW Lust Sendai, Japan 629 Fans LIVE on Indy Wrestling TV (Asia) Luckily we don't have any major incidents to speak of going into the show. Hiro Suzuki was annoying Kwon Ha-neul due to his lack of popularity, which is harmless but also... Just not any need for it is there? Even as someone who likes a good rib, Izumo felt going for someone who in any other company would be considered a young lion for their popularity is stupid. The incident was sorted with a quick talking to with Hiro. GUSHIKEN again raising the morale of the place, this time with Byakko holding wrestlers court again for him being a sourpuss. Seems like he's still pissed at Aminishiki. He was sentenced to buying everyone drinks after the show. Good stuff. --- Pre-Show BEAST defeated Shizuki - 33 Kwon Ha-neul defeated Naoaki Kuramochi - 36 Honour & Swag, Murai Abe & Yasuyuki Taka defeated Giant Hammers, Giant Daisuke & Seung Zhi - 38 Kicking off the show with a hot 8 man tag, this match got the crowd fired up! Seung Zhi in particular had a fabulous performance, he overperformed to a massive extent, clearing everyone elses showing. Neal Jackson had a pretty off night unfortunately, luckily his partner Takayama was able to pick up the slack for him and their opponents, who other than Zhi were all intimidation. Jackson got the pin on Daisuke with the Hour Rush, with Sasaki and Mongolian Giant yelling at them after the match. Xi Gao defeated Kaz Suzuki - 35 Aminishiki decided to throw the two youngsters out there for some experience in singles action (and to fill time), and both men took advantage! The two have good chemistry together, despite never wrestling before. They just clicked, and the crowd loved it. Gao nailed Suzuki with the Chinese Dagger, but it looks like we may have a new pairing on our hands here. Keigo Yamagawa defeated TITAN - 22 This match SUCKED. Truly awful. After having a good showing at Beginnings Uncovered, both Yamagawa and TITAN were rewarded with a singles match and they absolutely stank the joint out despite only having 5 minutes. Yamagawa pinned TITAN with the Green Way, the less said about this match the better. Okitsugu Hiroyuki defeated Kotaro Taguchi - 36 Rebounding from that bad match, Hiroyuki and Taguchi had a solid match between two pros. Nothing really much to say here, just two guys who know what their doing going out and putting on a professional performance. Hiroyuki got the Idle Night for the pin, the two shook hands afterwards, and this match will be forgotten about by the time the show ends. Ieyoshi Kurmochi defeated OMURA - 50 A great match. Kuramochi and OMURA wend out there and had a damn great showing, with OMURA in particular looking fabulous. Kuramochi controlled the brawling elements while OMURA made his comeback through great technique and beating the hell out each other. In the end, Kurmochi hit his SICK finisher, the Explosion Suplex '19 for the win, but Aminishiki takes a mental note to push OMURA more because he can go. Byakko defeated Ando Miyagi - 41 Two good brawlers throwing hands and battering each other, what more could you want? Miyagi and Byakko threw each other around for 10 minutes, Byakko catching Ando with the Destructive Force for the pinfall victory. He might be a stroppy prick, but he's good. Ayden Farrell defeated Hiro Suzuki - 55 This match saw the debut of former IWJ Champion Ayden Farrell, and what a match to return with. He couldn't have had a better dance partner to start with either, with fellow technical wizard Hiro Suzuki. The two had a great grappling match which could have turned the fans off, but with Farrell's willingness to just start brutalising Hiro with slaps and forearms while stretching, the crowd never turned on him. After a Long, hardfought contest, Farrell capped off his return to Japan with the Tsurota Armbar submission for the win. Junji Goto & Yoji Honda Backstage Brawl - 45 We cut backstage to an interview with Junji Goto, who before he could even start speaking is jumped by Yoji Honda! Honda throws him around as security try to break them up, but Junji starts fighting back himself! The segment ends with the two men screaming at each other. GUSHIKEN & Yuto Shiba defeated Seiken Nagano & Aminishiki - 44 Our co-main event is a big one folks, as the bad blood between GUSHIKEN and Nagano led to a draw on the first ever show, and the two wanted to fight so badly they found themselves some tag partners! GUSHIKEN, Shiba and Nagano were really good, but unfortunatly Aminishiki overestimated how ready he was for a main event match because he looked thoroughly outclassed out there. Luckily GUSHIKEN, Yuto and Seiken could cover for him, and GUSHIKEN got the win over the Aminishiki by popping the crowd HUGE with the GUSHIKEN Firebomb! Nobuhisa Yasutake defeated Shiki Hirasi - 50 Finally in the main event, the most popular wrestler on the roster Yasutake and fellow star Hirasi had a decent main event, but sadly they just didn't seem to click stylewise. The crowd were estatic for everything they did, but there was some obvious miscommunication between the two and it hampered the match. Yasutake came away with the win hitting a Spear of Destiny, and is gathering more momentum going into the Pan-Pacific Grand Prix in April. --- JCW Lust Post-Show Presser Highlights Yasutake: "You see that? That, is how it's done. I went in there with a man who's done it in DIASPORA, in Australia, and I beat him with relative ease. In two months we have the Pan-Pacific Grand Prix to determine the first ever JCW United National Champion, and I'm going to win it. I will carry this company on my back, and you will all feel the Spear of Destiny." GUSHIKEN: "Last month was disappointing, but tonight we come away with a big win over two former world champions. I knew I made the right decision to fight alongside this young man beside me." Shiba: "Thank you GUSHI-san, your words of praise fill me with joy. But, as we go into the PP-Grand Prix, I'm going in there to win! You've had your world title runs, I never got that opportunity in HONOUR, and I'm looking to change that." GUSHIKEN has a hearty chuckle and pats Yuto on the back. GUSHIKEN: "And I wish you luck in that persuit, but if you come up against me, I won't hold back. I'll do whatever it takes to win that United National Championship, and I expect you to be the same." Seiken barges into the press room FURIOUS, he's throwing chairs, punching walls, absolutely enraged. Nagano: "AAAAAARGH!!! WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THAT HUH?!?! Aminishiki! You fat fuck! You're OUT of the Grand Prix! You loser! You bitch! ARGH!!! GUSHIKEN! You fluked your way to victory by pinning a slob, BUT REMEMBER WHO RUNS THIS SHIT! That United National Championship is MINE. Don't you forget it!" Farrell: "To be honest I never thought I'd wrestle in Japan again. I had accomplished all I could here and I was ready to go home with my family. However, when Hiro Suzuki asked me to come wrestle him at JCW, I couldn't refuse. I love this place. This is what the spirit of professional wrestling is about. Hard hitting. Never giving up. Pure spirit. That Pan-Pacific Tournament? Count me in. I will emerge victorious." --- JCW Lust Predictions: StanMiguel - 4/9 AboardTheArk - 2/9 Vandal - 3/9

  6. I'm a bit in advance and yes, spoilers, the atmosphere is such a pain in the arse 😭
  7. Nagano: "Hahaha! We aced last night huh big man?!" Seiken called Izumo pretty early in the morning to go grab some breakfast, and it isn't like the big guy had anything to do anyway so him and the boss are now at a noodle place in Sendai, Nagano causing a scene for customers by shouting really loudly. Aminishiki: "Please can you keep it down? You're distracting all the customers. And I wouldn't say we "aced" anything considering you didn't bother to hire any road agents!" Nagano: "Ahhh c'mon Izumo, shit happens huh? I had a bunch of other shit to deal with at the time and it slipped my mind, what more do you want from me? Aminishiki: "To hire some agents!" Nagano: "Fine, you got anyone in mind?" Aminishiki: "Well, it can't be Benjiro. He was a nice guy, but so much of the agenting last night ruined a lot of the matches, including yours and GUSHIKEN's." Nagano: "I didn't think it was half-bad." Aminishiki: "Yeah, cause you were both over. You two can do far better with an agent who wasn't put into such a bad spot. There's two guys we should sign, both used to work for Fire Kingdom Pro Wrestling. First one is SAJI, he's been picking up work and impressing in a lot of Kyushu indies, and Genjo Mushanaokoji. Genjo in particular will be a good impact on the locker room, he also has experience booking as well so he could be someone I can bounce ideas off of if we hit it off. Finally, on the wrestling side, Ayden Farrell is available and I think if we bring him in he could really add a lot of prestige to the top of the card because he's still in his prime." Nagano: "Right, you give them a call later today. You want em, you deal with bringing them in." Aminishiki: "Fine. Second of all, what're you thinking in terms of scheduling? You want to work on getting a touring schedule?" Nagano: "Nooo way pal. I fuckin hate tours, and I'm too old to be doing that shit. I want to make JCW as unique as possible, and the only company doing monthly events is SPLASH. Means our wrestlers can accept more bookings and they can work harder during our shows too." Aminishiki: "Okay, sounds good to me. It'll mean some shows we'll need to deal with smaller attendences if we're to grow, but that shouldn't be an issue." Nagano: Oh right, I got the names for the shows that aren't the Pan-Pacific tournaments, hang on." Seiken fumbles around his jacket before pulling out a piece of paper thats looks... dirty to say the least. Nagano: "Don't worry bout the stains, I didn't have a napkin so I had to wipe my mouth with something." ... Gross. Aminishiki: "...Right. Wait, Lust? Gluttony? Sloth? Why you going with a Seven Deadly Sins naming?" Nagano: "I couldn't think of any other names that weren't just generic bullshit. Plus, it'll make us stand out more." Aminishiki: "Yeah, but... Gluttony?" Nagano: "Blame the Catholics pal." Seems like Seiken is deadset on this for some reason. Aminishiki: "One more thing. You wanna go for a more American style of schedule, but I think it'd be beneficial to do traditional press conferences. It'd be a good way of getting press attention for the quality of action and not just our infamy." Nagano: "Sure, fine. Anyway, this has been great, but I need to go. I have a meeting with some potential backers so I need to leave. See ya around Izumo." Aminishiki: "Yeah sure, see ya." Seiken hastily makes himself scarce, just before Izumo realises what he just did. Aminishiki: "HEY YOU DIDN'T PAY!"

  9. JCW Beginnings Uncovered Sendai, Japan 282 Fans LIVE on Indy Wrestling TV (Asia) After a month or so of hype, Aminishiki is about to book the first ever JCW show. Izumo was actually pretty calm, tying his boots as he goes over the tag match tonight with his partner, Byakko. He's a pain in the ass, but he's a very good brawler, plus Aminishiki can't work a singles match at this point for the quality Nagano wants so it's the best option. Speaking of Nagano, Izumo and him actually had a bit of a debate about the ticket pricing. Seiken decided to charge premium prices for the show because of how stacked the card is. That's fine when you have the name value of a UPJ or those big American companies, but this is a brand new company, even if we have all these stars you can't just charge such high prices with no guarantee of success. As such, only 282 fans arrived for the show. Nagano is pissed at the small gate, but it's his own fault for not listening to Aminishiki. There was a few incidents to get out the way. First one was Shizuki turning up really late for the show. Izumo wasn't happy at all, but knowing his reputation among the boys, he didn't want to blow up at the kid for a first offence, so he let it slide. Something less tolerable was Seung Zhi deciding it was a good idea to keep needling Keigo Yamagawa, to the point where the two had a big fight. Picking a fight is one thing, but on the owner of the company's protégé? On the first ever show? The hell is this idiot doing? Izumo thought about firing Zhi on the spot, but to be honest he didn't think that'd be a good idea, Seung is a good undercard worker after all, so he gave him a hefty fine which seemed to make everyone happy. Next thing Aminishiki knows, Byakko has gotten himself in a shouting match... With Seiken Nagano! Seiken is furious about damage done to his rental by Byakko, and Izumo's tag partner is vert colourfully telling the boss that he's got the wrong guy. Well, this is just brilliant. Aminishiki gets in the middle of the two and tells Seiken he'll deal with it, just go get ready for the main event. He told Byakko he can't pull this shit and he has no choice but to fine up (because Nagano will be up his ass if he doesn't) but Byakko is NOT happy. He storms off, muttering that Izumo's an asskisser, but whatever. Byakko isn't paying the wage so he can go stew by himself if he wants. Finally things chill out before the show airs. Kwon Ha-neul, one of the next big stars Nagano is banking on taking JCW to the next level, was bragging about how great he was and GUSHIKEN held wrestler's court for him. Thankfully it didn't end with a fight and fines, in fact Kwon and GUSHIKEN seemed to be having some fun together, which was nice since the kid seems to have a stick up his ass at all times with how moody he is. Last incident worth reporting on was Giant Daisuke was hanging out all by himself, and once again, GUSHIKEN held wrestler's court and sentenced him to get drinks for the guys after the show. Although it seemed like more of a way to get Daisuke more involved in the locker room than an actual punishment. Thank god for someone like GUSHIKEN, he's helping lift up the mood after the two fights and they all seem ready for the show! --- Giant Daisuke, The Mongolian Giant & Hammer Sasaki defeated Neal Jackson, Tetsuya Takayama & Kwon Ha-neul - 31 A decent, if unspectacular way to kick off the night, this was very much the usual undercard puro 6 man. Tetsuya in particular was really good in this, keeping the fire and energy up alongside his partner, but Hammer as pretty bad in this, as was his partners. In the end Mongolian Giant pinned Ha-neul with the Fist of Khan, but maybe Honour & Swag should get a bigger push after this. The Warzone defeated Masudore - 26 Oh my god Shizuki is AWFUL. This guy sucks so much. He was a complete goddamn mess tonight and if he wasn't pals with Nagano he'd be out on his ass after tonight. Yamagawa carried this match on his back, and to be honest BEAST and TITAN really impressed too. They had great chemistry and Yamagawa bounced off them well. It was a wild chaotic brawl where those three excelled, with BEAST getting the pin over Shizuki with the War Bomb. Okitsugu Hiroyuki, Murai Abe & Yasuyuki Taka defeated Kotaro Taguchi, Naoaki Kuramochi & Xi Gao - 28 In the final "get everyone on the card" 6 man, Hiroyuki, Abe and Taka beat Taguchi, Kuramochi and Gao in a underwhelming match. Hiroyuki and Taguchi had some good enchanges, with Gao coming in and doing some cool stuff, but okitsugu and Naoaki in particular had a bit of an off night tonight, especially with the closing stretch. Hiroyuki got the win with the Idle Night to end the match. Junji Goto defeated Ando Miyagi - 46 In the first good match of the night, COBRA veteran Miyagi and former Olympian Goto had a really good match. good flurries, good enchanges, and the crowd LOVE Goto. Which is a good thing too, as Aminishiki has big plans for the big man while he's here. In the end, Goto got the win over Miyagi with the Olympic Powerbomb to the delight of Sendai. Aminishiki & Byakko defeated The Suzuki Family - 33 Well, this is certainly a choice to follow such a entertaining match. It was fine and the crowd were into it, but it's obvious Aminishiki and Byakko aren't playing ball here. Hiro and Kaz had great chemistry though, as you'd expect from father and son, but unfortunately that wasn't enough, as Aminishiki squashed Kaz with the Avalanche for the win. Shiki Hirasi defeated Yoji Honda - 38 In another decent match, Hirasi and Honda had a bit of a styles clash here, but to be honest it kind of worked. Yoji is so good at being a angry, aggressive heel and Shiki is good at fighting from underneath. After some STIFF exchanges from the two, Hirasi caught Honda in the Ankle Lock and got the submission in a fun but underwhelming match. Yuto Shiba defeated OMURA - 41 Another good match here, although both were tired at the end, as and OMURA had some good exchanges here. OMURA is more of a technical wrestler, so it's not exactly what the crowd is hoping for, but it works well with the firey face of Shiba, who could be serious money for JCW as their Ace if he sticks around. Shiba locks in the Shiba Clutch and OMURA taps for the win. Nobuhisa Yasutake defeated Ieyoshi Kurmochi - 47 In the best match of the night so far, Yasutake is so much better than everyone else on this card it's genuinely a warcrime he's even here. Why isn't he at UPJ? Ah well, not like Aminishiki should complain, especially if he's making Kurmochi, who's good, but not outstanding, look like a main eventer. Yasutake nails the Spear of Destiny for the win, and we if he can stay around for a long time JCW have a winner on their hands. GUSHIKEN drew with Seiken Nagano - 39 Okay, this match SHOULD have been better. And to be honest there's no fault for GUSHIKEN or Nagano, other than GUSHI getting tired near the end. But Nakanoi, who was brought in on short notice because Seiken forgot to hire actual road agents, really shat the bed here. He's a lovely guy but if he's expecting to be hired after this he's got another thing coming. It's quite insane JUST how good Nagano is at 55 years old, he had the best performance of the night by FAR. Just being a mean bastard for GUSHIKEN to fight against, which he did so very well. GUSHIKEN looked like he had the pin, but the 30 minute time limit expired, resulting in a draw to end the first ever JCW show.

  15. Japanese Championship Wrestling Just like their owner Seiken Nagano, Japanese Championship Wrestling only has one mission statement: Big heavyweight titans hitting each other REALLY hard. The controversial 3 time UPJ International Heavyweight Champion founded the company after freelancing the Japanese independent scene for nearly 20 years after his infamous fight with DRAGON Michinoku which led to him being blackballed from all major companies. with a lot of big name stars freed up due to DIASPORA cancelling the heavyweight division, right now JCW is a lot of 50+ year olds with big star power, plus some wandering talent that Nagano liked the look of. Time will tell if this is actually a viable alternative, or if this will go down as an expensive vanity project by one of Puro's most infamous figures. --- Time comes at you fast. One minute you're on top of the wrestling world, winning the Ozeki Summit and being pushed as a dominant main event force, the next you're sitting alone, watching bad gameshow TV as all your work has dried up. Izumo Kawabata, more commonly known as Aminishiki knows about this all too well. It's been around 4 years since he was regularly employed, and even then it was with goddamn SPLASH! A comedy promotion that, frankly, offended him in every possible way. At least he got some title runs out of it though. Izumo grabs another can and drinks away. This is all he can bring himself to do now that his wife has left him, and he didn't exactly ingratiate himself with the boys. Now with Pro Wrestling HONOUR closed down and DIASPORA has shut down their heavyweight division, it looks all but over for him in the industry. *Ring* Aminishiki: "Huh?" The big man takes a few rings to get up. He's never been the fittest wrestler but even by his standards he was BIG. Izumo finally picks up the phone though. Aminishiki: "Hello?" Nagano: "Hey Izumo ya big bastard! How you been huh?" Aminishiki: "Nagano-san? What do you want? You still owe me money from that Kobe-" Nagano: "Yeah yeah I know, but listen first. Look, I'm planning something big. I'm sure you know the news about DIASPORA and their heavyweight division?" Aminishiki: "Yes, what's that got to do with my-" Nagano: "Shut the fuck up and let me finish huh?" Izumo shuts his mouth. He doesn't get scared, but Seiken is one of the only men in the business he still associates with, and he's an angry man so it'd be best to stay quiet for now. Nagano: "So, with this new, fresh gap in the market, I'm also sick of just doing small ass shows. I want to run my own company. Already got the trademarks and most of the roster ready, and since we're pals and I know you love a payday, I wanted to let you in on it." Aminishiki: "You want me to wrestle? I want to, but I'm in really bad shape Nagano-san." Nagano: "Ah yes, because you were the beacon of that flippy junior shit when you were in your prime weren't you? C'mon, it'll be fun, and you need the money right?" Izumo is hesitant. He knows who Seiken is, and he's a swindler. He needs the money, but he isn't going just jump right in without getting anything out of it. Aminishiki: "What's in it for me? 250,000 Yen is a lot of money and you managed to spend all that in one night. You gonna give me that money back?" Nagano: "So what, you're gonna just reject me? Your only friend in the business over a few yen?" Aminishiki: "I didn't say that. But I need that money. Give me what I'm owed and I'll appear." Nagano: "You have some fuckin nerve you know that?! I call you out of the goodness of my heart-" Aminishiki: "It sure would suck for your new company if was to come out that you were stealing money off your supposed friends wouldn't it? That gap in the market would never get filled." Seiken is quiet down the other end. Izumo knows that Nagano's vision is actually a really good one, way more than any vision for the companies he's worked in post-Matsumoto Brothers UPJ, but while Nagano is wealthy, he definitely acquired his funds through some shady means. Nagano: "Tell you what. I can't give you all the money I owe you. But as consolation, if you work for me, I'll give you 100,000 yen, and make you the head booker." Izumo thinks on it. He's never actually thought about booking before, so it's a job he's entirely unqualified for, but he knows how Seiken works. He wouldn't be offering this if he wasn't serious. Aminishiki: "Sounds good." Nagano: "Great. I'm not fucking around though. You still work FOR me. I might not be as generous as I am as a friend if you fuck up my show." Aminishiki: "I'll do my best Nagano-san, have a good night." Nagano: "Oh, and Izumo?" ... Nagano: "Fuck you." Izumo can't help but laugh. He's a head booker now, nice. He better get into better shape.
  16. Shame to see Tayama go, as a GCG original you have a great story there for him challenging for the title, but clearly was too big of a pain in the arse to deal with sadly. I predict you'll go with Shikitei and Miyazaki or Valentine (GCG do love a gaijin challenger after all)
  17. GCG BABY LETS GOOOOOO Always love a Canvas save and it was a huge bummer when they were closed in game, so I'm well happy you're doing a comeback.
