  1. NEO-WAVE ACE! #8 Week 1, March 2024 – New York City (NEO-WAVE HIDEOUT!) Attendance: 383– FINAL RATING: 58 • ++ Big Success. • Mercedes Mone opened the show with a massive backing from the crowd, she made her full entrance before stepping inside the ring, Mone starts talking about how everyone been waiting to hear from her ever since she left Japan, she thanks all the people that made her time there easier and invites her rivals of that time to step in the ring with her here in NEO-WAVE. Mone says that it was not an easy decision, she had offers from the two major companies, but decided to come here and build a future for the next generations so they have something to look up to, and she promise that just like she looked up to so many wrestlers both females and males, there will be kids watching ‘the Boss and wanting to grow up to be just like her. Mercedes then sets her sights on the NEO-WAVE World Title and before she could continue, she was interrupted by… MAE SEBERA! Mae stays in the ramp with a microphone, she is not here to waste anyone’s time, she was supporting of Mercedes on her speech until she began to talk about the NEO-WAVE World Title, that’s where Mae has a problem and it’s a big problem, because she says that ever since she arrived here in NEO-WAVE she only lost one match and it was just one mistake, that mistake won’t happen again. – Mercedes smiles looking at Mae and says that if Mae wants to have a fight, she’s got it, next week here at ACE! – Rating: 51 • Jayde vs. Kylie Paige - Rating: 35 • Our opener here is one of the members of Eclipsia are going one on one against one of the half’ of the tag team championship, a short match that saw both competitors trade really good moves back and forth, this one ended after a nice Snapmare DDT from Jaydee to the champion, pinning her and winning. – Eclipsia claims another nice victory after Vertvixen’s one against Kay at Genesis. • Ariam Mendez is on the ring, with two belts who are covered in front of her, she begins thanking everyone who has supported NEO-WAVE, the fans are making it all possible for them to expand and that the surprises are not over, Mercedes Mone is just the start and the start of something amazing, and to keep everyone at their best, she is here to announce two ways for the amazing Women in the back to make a name for themselves. She uncovers the first title belt, that looks inspired by an MMA title belt, Ariam smiles as the crowd seems a bit confused, she explains that this here is the NEO-WAVE Iron Fist title, a title that she says that people who have watched GLEAT, will understand more easily what’s coming next, this one will be defended only under “Iron Fist” rules, fast-paced, explosive matches that often end in an instant. In the simplest terms, fights may end via knock-out (10 Count), TKO (Referee Stoppage), submission, or by points. There are no pinfalls, no disqualifications, no count-outs. Every fight must have a winner. And to make it even more exciting, it will be a one night, 8-person tournament in two weeks’ time here at ACE! – she then uncovers the other title belt, and explains that this is the NEO-WAVE International title, and the champion will be decided, at NEO-WAVE Mayhem, we will have a six-women ladder match, and the qualifications match start… NEXT WEEK! – Rating: 60 • VonStarr vs. Viva Van - Rating: 35 • This one saw another member of Eclipsia go one on one against a upcoming talent like Viva Van, another short match that let both wrestlers show a bit of their arsenal, but this one ended after VonStarr hit the Helter Skelter in the corner, pinning her opponent and this makes three victories in a row for Eclipsia members. • Allie is backstage talking to Reka Tehaka, she mentions that she got an opportunity for Reka to be in one of the matches to qualify for MAYHEM’s Ladder match for the International title, but she brought Reka here to introduce her to a new client of Bunny-Inc. Brandi Lauren walks into frame, Allie says that Brandi will also be in one of the matches to qualify for MAYHEM’ also, Brandi says that it’s a pleasure to be working with Allie, she says that she is looking to get one last hire next week, to put them in the one night “Iron Fist” Tournament, Allie ends her speech saying that she got a tag match for Brandi and Reka against Kaho and Su Yung later tonight, Brandi extends a hand to Reka, who walks up to Brandi and warns her that just because they are represented by the same person, Reka won’t be saving her or helping Brandi after tonight’s match. – She bumps Brandi and leaves as Brandi looks confused. Rating: 39 • Aoi vs. Tarlee - Rating: 38 • This one was a showcase for two talents, Aoi who has made a name for herself even with a few losses under her belt, the rookie is slowly climbing up the opportunity ladder and tonight she took Tarlee for a dance, a quick match that saw a dominance of Aoi from start to finish, Tarlee couldn’t get any consistent offense in this one and lost when she tapped out to the A-wing, after the match, Aoi got the microphone and in Japanese she announced that she is entering the “Iron Fist” one night tournament for the cheering of the crowd. Su Yung & Kaho Kobayashi vs. Bunny-Inc (Reka Tehaka & Brandi Lauren) - Rating: 51 • Our main event of the evening, (or so we thought…) – Saw the new hire of Bunny-Inc Brandi Lauren, tag with Reka Tehaka confronting two of the hottest wrestlers in terms of momentum in NEO-WAVE right now, this one went twenty minutes and it had a lot of back and forth between the two teams, it ended after Reka Tehaka hit Kaho Kobayashi with the coconut crusher, pinning the Japanese star and winning, Brandi entered the ring to celebrate with Reka but she dismissed her partner, leaving the ring and celebrating with the crowd going back up the ramp. • Deonna Purrazzo theme hits and she is showered with love from the crowd, as she is wearing the NEO-WAVE World title around her waist, making her entrance and as soon as she gets in the ring, the celebration starts with confetti coming down, Deonna grabs the microphone and says that she is honored to represent NEO-WAVE as the world champion, that The “Virtuosa” is ready to be a fighting champion, to prove that she is better than everyone else in the world, that means, Reka Tehaka, Kaho Kobayashi, Su Yung, Allysin Kay, Vertvixen, Mae Sebera and Mercedes Mone. – She will be standing over every single one that steps into the ring with The Virtuosa. Out of nowhere BEA theme hits and the crowd goes crazy, she was working for NXT thirty days ago, but it seems like her contract is up and she is now HERE AT NEO-WAVE! – Bea St. Clere walks down the ring as Deonna face has slowly gone from a smirk to an annoyed stare, Bea enters the ring and says that she heard that NEO-WAVE was where the party was happening, and she was not going to miss out on a party like this. Bea pointed at the title and pointed out that Deonna said that she was going to be a fighting champion, so if she were really a fighting champion “The Virtuosa” would put the title on the line, in a match… TONIGHT! RIGHT NOW! – The crowd waits with anticipation for Deonna’s response, who slowly raises the microphone to her mouth and says “You will regret, interrupting “The Virtuosa” celebration. I accept.” – A crazy reaction from the crowd as we go to a short break before our true main event! – Rating: 54 • vs. Deonna Purrazzo vs. Bea St. Clere – NEO-WAVE World Championship - Rating: 60 • As soon as we get back from the video brake, the bell goes off and Deonna wastes no time to attack the new signing, Deonna talked about being a fighting champion and it seems like just a few days after winning, she got a crazy rest ahead of her with Bea, at the start the champion seem like she was going to dominate, but once Bea got a bit of an offense, she started to work the crowd who seemed to be half and half at this time, as we got deeper into this match, the demanding back to back main event matches seem to be slowly getting to Purrazzo, who was at disadvantage against Bea who was well rested. This one went twenty-five minutes to end the show, an amazing and possibly first classic match of NEO-WAVE, with just great spots all around the ending sequence started with Bea picking up Deonna from the floor, to hit the KAMIGOYE! – Deonna is down! – Bea is waiting for her to get up, she is bound to hit the Falcon Arrow to end this match but once she tries to pick Deonna up, The Virtuosa reverses it, kicks her in the stomach and hits the COSA NOSTRA!!!! – Deonna crawls to get the pinfall, ONE… TWO… THREE! – Deonna retains the WORLD TITLE! A second celebration of the night as Deonna receives the belt from the referee and celebrate in ring until the end of the show as the crowd cheered her on, the last shot is Deonna with the title right next to her face, smiling. • Weekly News • • Giulia extends an exclusive deal with STARDOM. • MLW hire Mickie James • Angelina Love becomes the new NWA World Women’s Champion • Samoa Joe defeated Chris Jericho to retain the AEW World title. After the bell rang, Vertvixen celebrated by standing over Allysin Kay. vs. HAMADA vs. Mima Shimoda – Last Dance – Rating: 43 • This was bound to be an emotional match from the start when HAMADA made her entrance and seem already a bit misty eye, and when Mima Shimoda made her entrance to the crowd cheering and applauding, this was it, one last match between two legends, two women that paved the way for other talent women, that inspired so many, are ready to inspire one last time, and this one went a full fifteen minutes of HAMADA and Shimoda giving their everything, from hitting big moves and going for high spots to technical battle inside the ring, and this ended with both women fighting at the top rope, they traded a few slaps and punches until they trade one… last… punch, both falling backwards to either side out of the ring, and as the referee counted up, none of the two women could get up in time and this match ended in a double count out. – After the bell, they helped each other up and celebrated the end of two amazing careers inside the ring, and to top it all off, Ariam Mendez brought out a bouquet of flowers for both, as the crowd gave them a good farewell cheer. vs. Reka Tehaka vs. Deonna Purrazzo - NEO-WAVE World Title – Rating: 55 • The first event main event of NEO-WAVE saw two competitors that ran through their opponents in the tournament and now they finally meet here to decide the first NEO-WAVE World Champion, first making her entrance is Reka Tehaka, who has some backing from the crowd, all alone tonight no Allie on her corner, as Ariam asked for no interferences before or during the match in the contract signed last Thursday. Deonna Purrazzo up next making her entrance, basking in the crowd heavily backing her for this one, after replacing Big Swole who got injured before the tournament, now here in New York trying to capture the world title, big fight feel in the whole ballroom for this one and as the ring bell went off, it was full offense for Reka Tehaka, aiming to leave no space for Deonna to catch her breath or think, this went the whole twenty two minutes of just amazing strength vs. strength match. And it ended with a sequence that saw Deonna tired from all the energy she had put on this one, waiting for Reka to get up, she tries to hit the Cosa Nostra but Reka reverses it, pushes Deonna to the corner who bounces back and the back of “The Virtuosa” head meets the palm of Reka who drives her head right down to the mat next to the floor, COCONUT CRUSHER! – Reka is now fired up, wanting to hit another one, she goes to the corner and lets the crowd hear all the energy leaving her now for this final move, and as Deonna turns around, Reka runs to hit the Coconut Crusher once more but is reversed with a Fujiwara Armbar! – FUJIWARA! Killer Crush (Kylie Paige and Ella Envy) vs. Erika Reid and Tarlee – Rating: 32 • Killer Crush made their in-ring debut, after an amazing debut segment last week, they showcased their talent in this tag team match, a ten minutes offense dominant of Killer Crush against Erika Reid and Tarlee, this one ended after Paige hit her signature Sit-Out Facebuster on Tarlee and pinned her opponent to win, after the match, Kylie and Ella went around the ring, celebrating, walking elegantly, making sure the crowd doesn’t forget their name. • Allysin Kay theme hits and her and Marti Belle comes down to the ring, Kay wasted no time and began talking about how last week she missed ACE to take care of her friend, she then looks at Marti Belle and the crows cheer on, Kay continues to talk that there is just no way that she will let Eclipsia go away without getting beat up badly. So Allysin Kay yells out and calls out Eclipsia and drops the mic, taking a stance waiting for them to appear. Vertvixen theme hits and Eclipsia appears through the crowd, just as two weeks ago, they circle three sides of the ring, only leaving the ramp open, Vertvixen tells Kay and Belle that this is their last chance to leave before things get ugly, and Kay responds quickly by rushing Vertvixen who jumped back while Jayde and Vita VonStarr entered the ring, attacked both Kay and Marti Belle. Vertvixen slides back inside the ring and helps her partners laying down both wrestlers, easily… Jayde and Vita VonStarr slowly get Kay up and before she could do anything else…. MAE SEBERA! Her theme hits the arena, and she runs down the ramp and enters the ring on fire attacking both Jayde and VonStarr, until she tries to attack Vertvixen who escapes from the ring right at the best moment and then… Ariam Mendez steps out and says that this is the perfect way to hype Genesis, six women tag match between Eclipsia and The Hex with Mae Sebera and that match is NEXT! – Rating: 37 • The Hex (Marti Belle and Allysin Kay) and Mae Sebera vs. Eclipsia – Rating: 43 • As soon as the bell was rung this matched turned out to be a brawl, Ariam Mendez specifically made this a “tornado” six-person tag, and it really showed from the beginning, Eclipsia showed that they had the upper hand at the start by having building chemistry the last few weeks, that made an advantage until Mae Sebera started to show her strength! – Easily taking down both Vertvixen and Vita VonStarr, and after sixteen minutes she hit Jayde with a Senton after Kay and Belle cleared house for Mae to hit her signature move and win this one for her and the Hex. After the match, Eclipsia regrouped in the ramp and Verrtvixen could be heard saying that this was not over, not even close to being over. Sonoko Kato vs. Delmi Exo – Rating: 49 • Another exhibition match for this Saturday’s Tag Team match, Delmi Exo making her singles debut in NEO-WAVE and giving an amazing performance against a veteran wrestler like Kato, who tried everything on her book to take down Delmi but survived everything she was thrown at and hit Kato with a stunning Tornado DDT to put her away for tonight, the crowd loving the back and forth these two gave out and this hyped up the match they are going to have this Saturday. • The ring got quickly set up for a contract signing and the first person to come out was Ariam Mendez, she talked about how successful the tournament has been for different reasons but to showcase talent like these two that will fight for the title, first… Reka Tehaka, she comes out alone with no Allie by her side this week, the Samoan wrestler shakes hand with Ariam before turning her attention to the contract and the title belt that is soon to be revealed, then comes The Virtuosa, Deonna Purrazzo, who has the majority of the crowd behind her, she gets in the ring, trades handshakes with Ariam and signs the contract, she grabs the microphone and says that this Saturday will be in the history books, once The Virtuosa is crowned the NEO-WAVE World Champion, it will take a long, long time… for anyone to take it from her. Reka signs the contract and says that she is going to do this not only for herself, but for Allie who has believed in her ever since she got hired here not a month ago, but also for all her family, Reka says she’s going to prove that The Samoa Savage is a worthy champion. Ariam Mendez then takes the contract and finally, reveals the title, which looks design wise a re-imagination of the old Gift of the Gods title from Lucha Underground, a really gorgeous title belt, Ariam Mendez holds the title in the middle and Reka and Deonna on either side of Ariam, the official photos are taken and the segment ends with Reka and Deonna face to face staring down until the end of the show. – Rating: 50 •

Cody Rhodes always seem like the right option here, all around a good "prelude" to the rest of the RTWM, i'm excited how all the branching story lines go from here ^^ (And i'm waiting for the debuts post mania also, hoping and imagining someone like Giulia can be on there :P)

Saying that Deonna has never confronted a competitor like Reka, that at Genesis, her client will be crowned world champion. She continues by saying that Deonna has not proved anything in her eyes, that Deonna is just all hype, Reka then is handed the microphone and keeps it short. “I have been waiting my whole life for an opportunity like this, and it won’t be you, that will stop me from making history not only for me, but for my people.” Deonna steps back and says that she respects where Reka comes from, that her journey to get here must be an amazing story to tell, but her company doesn’t reflect who she is, Deonna then points at Allie and says that she is just using Reka to stay relevant in today’s business and that tonight Deonna will prove in the main event, that Allie is a washed up old woman trying to revive her career. – Rating: 42 • Su Yung vs. Zoe Lucas – Rating: 39 • A nice opener to get the crowd going after a nice trade of words between Allie and Deonna, Su Yung trying to keep her streak of victories going after being eliminated from the tournament against an opponent like Zoe Lucas who is known to do anything to win a match, this one was a short one that was controlled from start to finish by Su Yung and at the end of the ten minutes she hit Zoe with the Panic Switch, pinning her for the win. • We go backstage as Allie is being interviewed, a question about how is she preparing to take on Deonna tonight, Allie responds that tonight should not take the spotlight that is Reka Tehaka title victory in nine days at Genesis, tonight is more about showcasing that Deonna is not a worthy opponent that she just got lucky with the drawing of the tournament, but also to showcase that any young wrestler that wants to make it to the top like Reka Tehaka will be in a few days, they can sign up to be a Bunny-Inc client, Allie says that here in NEO-WAVE she will open doors that were once locked, she promises that, Allie leaves the interviewer by sticking a bunny sticker to the interviewer microphone. – Rating 42 Kakeru Sekiguchi vs. KZT vs. Brandi Lauren vs. Queen Aminata– Rating: 24 • This match was booked by Ariam to showcase more of the talent that has not participated in the last few weeks of the program because of the tournament, Kakeru Sekiguchi was the star from the start to the finish, working well with all the wrestlers in this four way battle, that saw Kakeru win this one by using her experience to roll up KZT at the right moment when Queen Aminata was setting up Brandi Lauren with a splash, taking an easy victory that had the crowd not at all excited, sadly. • We go backstage once more and Ariam Mendez is on the phone, talking with Delmi Exo confirming that she will make her debut next week against Sonoko Kato as another preview for the tag team match at Genesis, after hanging up the phone, Ariam seems very surprised and that’s when the camera turns to face the door and…. Kylie Paige and Ella Envy show up as the crowd erupts, one of the most exciting tag teams that are coming up known for their work at NWA with Kenzie Paige as well who is injured at this time, Ella steps inside the office and asks to see the contracts, Ariam Mendez asks for the door to be locked, so Kylie Paige slowly closes the door, seems like we are bound to see “Killer Crush” as the last team to join the tag team three way match at Genesis. – Rating: 61 • HAMADA vs. Kaho Kobayashi– Rating: 49 • Kaho Kobayashi made her entrance and before HAMADA made hers, Kaho told the crowd in Japanese that she asked for this match to happen, wanting to wrestle a legend like HAMADA at least one more time before she retires, HAMADA made her entrance, and they traded respectful greetings in the ring before this one went underway. – Kaho and HAMADA went back and forth, the retiring veteran still showing signs that she could go on for a few more months, Kaho working well with a wrestler heavier than her, this one went fifteen minutes and ended after Kaho hit her near perfect German Suplex with the bridge to beat HAMADA, after the match they traded compliments and hugged to celebrate this match. • Eclipsia entered Ariam Mendez’s office and Vertvixen asked where oh where was Allysin Kay hiding for this week, Ariam told Vertvixen that first that Kay is not here this week, she’s taking care of Marti Belle who Ariam is sure that Vertvixen and her partners know what happened to her, but Ariam says that next week, Kay will be here and the two (Kay and Vertvixen) can have one final showdown before Genesis. – Vertvixen slaps the table lightly and gets up. as Eclipsia slowly leave the office, ready to plan their tactics for next week. – Rating: 31 • Deonna Purrazzo vs. Allie – Rating: 53 • The main event of the evening saw Deonna vs. Allie, the latter who was trying to showcase that young wrestlers should sign up to be represented by Bunny Inc, Deonna and Allie went twenty-five minutes of chaotic wrestling, back and forth with Purrazzo, Allie who has not wrestled for some time was visibly gassed at the end of this one which made it easier for Purrazzo to hit her with a Package Piledriver, Reka Tehaka entered the ring and tried hitting her with a Coconut Crusher, but Deonna ducked out of the way and sent Reka over the rope, Allie tried to capitalize but Deonna locked her in the Fujiwara Armbar making her tap out and winning this one, after the match, Reka helped Allie out of the ring as Deonna stand tall in the second rope, staring Reka down, we are only nine days away until Genesis!

The crowd is electric, cheering on Reka who is the first to reach the finals, now waiting for her opponent that could be either Kaho Kobayashi or Deonna Purrazzo. Sonoko Kato vs. Ashley Vox – Rating: 33 • One of the matches to showcase the upcoming Tag Team Triple Threat match that is happening at Genesis, Kato vs. Vox, without their partners at ringside, this one was a quick and fast match between two veterans we could say, Vox and Kato trading blows at the end of this one before Vox hit a suplex and a splash to pin her opponent and win this one. • Vertvixen, Vita VonStarr and Jayde make their way to the ring, after last week they took out both Allysin Kay and Marti Belle in different ways, Vertvixen is handed the microphone first and she starts to speak on the events of last week, on how their plan were mainly to take out both Kay and Belle and their plan went perfectly, the crowd who at the start of last week’s show seemed to be on their side, this time around they are booing their actions. Vertvixen continues to speak that what the crowd and the people watching at home are seeing right now in the ring is the next big thing in NEO-WAVE, Vita VonStarr says that they are not just an alliance or a faction, they are the embodiment of power hidden in the shadow, Eclipsia. Jayde then says that Eclipsia is not just a word, it’s a revelation, a force to be unleashed upon NEO-WAVE, Vita VonStarr says that Eclipsia is not just a word or a revelation, it’s a promise that when they step into the ring, the world can witness a force that has been hidden, but since last week, it has been woken up. Vertvixen ends by telling the crowd and everybody in the locker room to get ready, because when the shadows fall, Eclipsia will rise, and the world will witness a force that can no longer be hidden. Allysin Kay theme hits and the crowd gives a powerful pop for the AK-47, who tells Vertvixen to shut her trap, that last week was merely a hiccup on her way to the top, she might not be in the running for the title anymore, but that can wait, Kay is now focused on to destroying Eclipsia, and then Kay announces that she already talked with Ariam Mendez and that in NEO-WAVE Genesis, it will be Allysin Kay vs. Vertvixen. – Crowd erupts with that revelation, and Kay ends the segment by saying that Vertvixen will regret ever getting in her way. – Rating: 47 • Su Yung vs. Melanie Gray – Rating: 38 • Su Yung that got eliminated last week from the tournament aiming to get back into the winning ways, this time against an opponent like Melanie Gray, it was a nice cool down match that was decided fairly quick in the first ten minutes when Su Yung hit the Panic Switch and pinned her opponent to win, looking to cement a future chance at the NEO-WAVE World Championship perhaps. • NEO-WAVE World Title Tournament: Semi-Finals Kaho Kobayashi vs. Deonna Purrazzo – Rating: 55 • Our main event of the evening saw two of the most over players in NEO-WAVE so far in a grand match for the semi-finals of the world title tournament, that brings someone that has been amazing so far in the tournament like Kaho Kobayashi and a established star in the United States that is Deonna Purrazzo, a back and forth match that saw Kaho Kobayashi use all her intelligence to outsmart Purrazzo, getting out of a package piledriver, setting up her picture perfect German Suplex only to have Purrazzo reverse that and lock her in the Fujiwara Armbar, Kaho tried crawling to the ropes but after twenty minutes of a NEO-WAVE early season classic, Kaho taps out and Deonna Purrazzo will confront Reka Tehaka at NEO-WAVE Genesis in the finals for the title.
