D-Lyrium
I just realised, there isn't actually an armbar in the Wrespi database :p Does it have another name, or is it just not there? It's right up there with the Full Nelson as "most basic wrestling hold ever".
D. Boons Ghost
Agreed. Then again, you can go too far in the opposite direction (ala a certain scenario, heh) by breaking the Armbar down to standing, grounded, and straddled variants. It's one of the great things about the editor: you can add in whatever you want. :)
D-Lyrium
Ah, found it. It's called the Cross Armlock. Quite why, I'm not sure, as there's no crossing of anything involved...
mrnoun
The Cross Armlock is weird because it has different names in WreSpi, "real" wrestling, and MMA. WreSpi: Cross Armlock Wrestling: Cross Armbreaker MMA: Armbar Malenko used it pretty often in his WCW days. I can't think of a more recent example off the top of my head. What's called an armbar in wrestling is probably closest to the arm wringer in description and effect in WreSpi, though really, they're two different moves.
