adamrobertk Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 What is the likley hood of this? I mean all the common sense in the world says taker will main event, but with batistas latest comments that they are not, something tells me that kennedy cashing in on MITB is not as ludicris as it sounds. Think about it - It ends Takers undefeated streak with dignity, i mean 2 matches in 1 night would do that. - it allows taker to have his mania moment in beating batista and pass on the torch - its totally unexpected.

Plus people would always bring up the fact that taker fought batista first so their would be the question of could kennedy have ended the streak on his own? No one would remember that he beat batista, all people would remember is that kennedy beat taker at mania. edge all ready did the "cash the title shot in after the champ has gone through a match" bit and just because edge and RVD won the titles after cashing in, where does it say that this years winner will win the title when he does cash in. taker vs. kennedy is not happening
Wildcat Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Zero, If Taker was going to lose at Mania he would have done it against someone already, and likely would have put Orton over at WM21. Taker is NOT losing at Mania, and if he were he would be losing to the World Champion not winning the title and than end up losing it to someone minutes later, first that destroys the streak without giving much credibility to the one that breaks it as it wasn't exactly clean, second that hurts the belt and third, as much as Kennedy rules he's not a Main Event attraction in the WWE's eyes right now and they aren't going to end the streak to push someone who has no already established long term role with the company. However it wouldn't shock me to see the MITB winner attack Bobby Lashley in the Battle of the Billionaires as that brand needs more help and it would set up a decent feud for the ECW title as ONS is only 2 months after Mania in June.
Genadi Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007
Not a chance in hell.
My thoughts exactly, Mania will finish with Cena the invincible going over HBK.
Guest loves2spooge Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 They really need something special to happen at the end but i dont think it will be that would be awesome though
Genadi Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 They made a smart move by not risking a horrible Take v Batista finish. HBK at Mania is proven fullproof, the guys a freak on the big stage, can't wait to see what he gets out of Cena.
PeterHilton Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007
Not a chance in hell.
What he said. The E isn't very big on tricky endings to WM. They like big names standing there in all their glory as the PPV ends.

Plus-44 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Taker vs. Kennedy at Survivor Series 06' is one of my favorite matches from WWE.
Moe Hunter Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007
What he said. The E isn't very big on tricky endings to WM. Undertaker666 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Kennedy's got to win the MITB match before he can cash it in! That being said, I wouldn't mind for a quick cash-in at the end of Wrestlemania but I would NOT be happy if Undertaker lost to him! It'd be another feat for Undertaker, winning the title and defending it in the same night = greatness.
Jorge_JBR Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 I, honestly, don't think Kennedy will win the Money in the Bank. I know this sounds likes a long shot, but my pick is CM Punk. I mean, let's look at it this way. 1) Edge - He has won the Money in the Bank before. He doesn't need it again. He is over as hell. Edge's undefeated streak at 'Maina is second only to 'Taker's. I think they will end it this year, and it would really give a big rub to CM Punk if he won the match. 2) Jeff Hardy - Never gonna be a world champion. Never gonna get really close. Sorry, but the guy just isn't worth it in my eyes. Not to mention he's a douche so I just don' want to see him win. 3) Matt Hardy - Although I could see him as ROH World Champion or even NWA World Champion, I can't see him as WWE Champ or even ECW Champ. He'll never get the main event push he should get. 4) Mr. Kennedy - KENNEDY!...KENNEDY! I like him. I really do, but I've explained this one at the start of my post. 5) Randy Orton - He could win it. As much as I don't like him, screaming little girls do. He's not an absurdly bad talent, and he has the name. He was the youngest world champ ever, and I'm pretty sure he'll get a couple more runs. 6) CM Punk - He's my pick. As someone already mentioned, ECW needs the press. If Punk won, it would very well do that. Plus, he could do the run in on Lashley, join the New Breed. Then, maybe even not pick Lashley for the title match. Pick Cena. Cena beats him. Or if he picks Taker, Taker gives him the rub and puts him over. I'm pretty sure Punk will get a few World Title runs in his tenure in WWE, and they have a lot of faith in him. Who wouldn't? I could see Taker giving him the rub, but I can't see Punk on SmackDown!, that's about the only problem I see.
