How does a Tournament Title work?

I've noticed that the AI runs an 8-man tournament whenever a Tourny title is scheduled to take place but how does it work when you are getting ready to run one. I consulted the help guide but it was a little vague. Thanks

Right, what happens is this: You run a show during the month that the title is scheduled to be defended. At some point during that show, you hold a match in which the title is on the line. Everything prior to that match, tournament, qualifiers, angles - irrelevant. You just have to have one match in that month with that title on the line.

It's pretty much just like a regular title, only their is never a current champion - when somebody wins it, their name goes straight into the title history while the title itself still has no actual holder.
